Hotel Bourgoensch Hof - Brügge

Ich war erst aufgrund der durchwachsenen Bewertungen etwas skeptisch. Die Zimmer sind recht einfach und klein, das Bad ist nicht toll, aber grundsätzlich ok. Frühstück ist auch in Ordung für die Kategorie. Gemessen an den eh recht hohen Preisen in Brügge denke ich, dass man von einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sprechen kann. Die geniale Lage entschädigt […] dabei für alles! Man ist sprichwörtlich in der Mitte von allem und es lässt sich alles auch bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Ein Traum!! Das Einzige, worüber ich gestolpert bin, ist, dass das Hotel scheinbar eine Einheit mit dem Hotel "Erasmus" bildet, in dem wir dann auch untergebracht waren. Von den Zimmern aber kein wirklicher Unterschied. Standardzimmer sind in der Regel ausreichend, die Superior haben zusätzlich Klimaanlage. Wer Blick auf den Kanal haben will, muss Superior Plus buchen!!! Da die Frühstücksräume einen schönen Blick auf den Kanal bieten, ist das aber m.E. auch verzichtbar, wenn man die Tage nicht nur auf dem Zimmer verbringt... FAZIT: Solides Hotel in Top-Lage in einer der schönsten Altstädte der Welt! Mehr

Sehr freundlicher Service, absolut perfekte Lage, deshalb auch zeitweise etwas laut - eben ein Stadthotel in einer der schönsten Städte überhaupt! Die Bäder könnten etwas komfortabler sein, aber insgesamt eine empfehlensdwerte Adresse, die auch wir wieder für einen weiteren Besuch in Brügge nutzen werden.

Ohne die geniale Aussicht aus dem Eck-Zimmer, das nach 2 Seiten Kanalsicht hatte, hätten wir es in dem Zimmer keine 2 Nächte ausgehalten. Das Bad war einigermaßen in Ordnung, allerdings funktionierte der Fön nicht und der Abfluß des Waschbeckens lief nicht ab. Aber das war noch erträglich. Schlimmer war die Ausstattung des Zimmers selbst. Vorsintflutliche […] Möbel und Teppich, ohne Schuhe hätte ich den Teppichboden nicht betreten, ebenso hatte man Hemmungen, sich auf die von Generationen von Gästen verwohnten Sellse, Sofa und Bett(decken) zu setzen. Die Bettwäsche war selbstverständlich in Ordnung... Nachdem wir die Aussicht, die wirklich einmalig ist, genossen haben, würden wir bei einem zweiten Brügge-Besuch auf jeden Fall ein anderes Hotel auswählen, zumal die Preise für das Zimmer nicht wirklich ein Schnäppchen waren. Für diesen Preis bekommt man erhblich bessere Hotels, die vielleicht nicht ganz so idyllisch liegen. Mehr

Bathroom was the problem!! no extractor fan, Although a sloping roof it wouldn't be difficult to put the shower hose at a sensible height at one end. Other than that a clean & comfortable hotel nicely situated in the town. Friendly staff

Great location, only minutes from the two main squares and pleasant views overlooking the canal. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Room comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here again

Mymhusband and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights during a recent trip to Bruges. The staff were lovely and helpful, breakfast was plentiful and the hotel was very quiet. Our room had views of the canal (we didn't pay for a canal view room) and whilst the room was addy shaped, added to the appeal of the hotel. The rooms could do with a little update […] and new pillows but all in all a great stay and would definitely recommend it. Mehr

I chose this hotel due to it's location. It's in the centre of town, just behind the main square but just on a side road witha terrace overlooking the canal, so tends to miss any traffic or late night noise. You can hear the the Belfort bells, but I believe those to be a plus! The room was very clean, with a good sized bathroom (with bath) a comfortable […] bed and spare pillows. I actually came back to the room one day, when it was being cleaned, so can confirm they are thorough! I found all the staff to be friendly, welcoming and helpful, not surprising for a smaller hotel such as this, but good, all the same. I didn't go to the attached restaurant, but it did look and smell very nice! I was a little concerned as there are no safes in the rooms. The member of staff I spoke to assured me that it was safe to leave my passport in my room though, or offered to keep it behind the reception desk for me. Overall, this is a lovely small hotel, with great views, (I believe there is a premium for canal view rooms) and a variety of chocolate, souvenir and lace shops just outside. I found it great value and would definitely consider it next time I'm in Bruges. Mehr

Very clean, quiet hotel in a great location - close enough to the main square but nicely situated so that we couldn't hear any noise at all. Room was a bit on the dark side but lovely and big. Watch out for the shower in the bathroom though - not placed above your head as we're used to in the UK, but placed just above the bath, making it awkward when […] you're trying to wash your hair. This hotel provided just what was needed for a short city-break. The room was warm and comfortable and the service very good. The staff were extremely helpful, especially with parking (which is a nightmare in Bruges). The hotel was well placed for all the main tourist attractions, just two or three minutes walk from the main square. We would definitely […] go again. Mehr

This hotel is fantastic. Great location, and most incredible view. Breakfast in the morning was great, and overlooks the canal. Staff was nice and accommodating. Absolutely worth your money, could not ask for more. Book here!

comfortable hotel, very good location

Just a short stroll from the central market square in Brugge, this hotel has the most romantic view! It's worth getting the canal view! The wonderful breakfast included gets you started on your day! The very friendly staff could not have been more helpful! We were here celebrating an anniversary and we enjoyed every moment of our stay!

Excellent location. Very good continental breakfast (no bacon and eggs). Value for money. Smallish room (3rd floor, street side) Free Wi-Fi. Little bit difficult to find - Only small sign in the street - hotel door is located in inner court.

Lovely Hotel, good position, had room in basement. Large room but ducks outside can be very noisey in the mornings so need room on first floor if you like a lie in!

Loved this hotel for it's central location. It's pretty basic, although the rooms were really large for European standards.

Having booked into the hotel online, I was dubious at first as I don't like booking over the internet a place I've never heard off. But when getting to the hotel, I quickly changed my tune. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful in every regard, whether it be directions, the sites to go and see, good places to eat, or even just a quick […] bit of banter, they were always accomindating. The room we stayed in was a canal view room which was a great site to see every morning, which i thoroughly advise everyone to try and get. The price is a bit more but you'll see yourself, it's definitly worth it. The breakfast was a delicious continental breakfast which you were free to eat as much as you could, to which I thoroughly stuffed myself to get energy to last the day to walk around Bruges. Again, I can't recommend this place highly enough and the value for money is really worth every penny. People should definitly stay at this hotel... except in 2 years when we go back cause we want another room overlooking the canal :D Mehr

This hotel is central to shopping and cafes. However, our room 315 on the first floor was nestled on the outside by 4 walls and the fire escape. We kept our window opened, and my husband was bitten by mosquitoes for 2 nights. This is early October. There wasn't a breath of air even though it was cool outside. We loved this hotel. Clean, right on a canal, attached restaurant and in the heart of town a block from Markt! Plus the hotel had a lift. Our booking gave us a lower floor room, but for an nominal additional cost, we were upgraded to a room with a lovely view of the patio and the canal. We couldn't have been more pleased.

It is a good hotel. Location could not be better. Only two complaits which may or may not be too serious. 1) our double bed was made of up 2 single beds put next to eachother making it a little uncomfortable to cuddle after a romantic night in town. 2) the door to the toilet room is a made of foggy glass (kind of see through) which does not give you […] much privacy. This is a little uncomfortable after trying having enjoyed lots of fine food in the area. However, these might not be a big deal to you. Service was great. Breakfast was good. Location was amazing. Superb canal location. Breakfast excellent. Friendly welcome. HUGE bedroom overlooking canal. Decor in serious need of updating. But bed large and comfortable. Could'nt really get a better location for the price.

Perfect location with beautiful views. We only stayed here one night, and it was good enough, but we actually left in the morning without showering because the bathroom was SO tiny and you had to hold the shower head in order to shower (otherwise it laid on the tub floor). Rooms are incredibly small and there is no air conditioning (for some reason […] it was really hot when we were there so that was annoying). They did install a lovely flat screen TV. It is a quaint, boutique type hotel but I wouldn't stay here for more than a sleep. Mehr

pleasant hotel, once you find it down a little alleyway. breakfast is basic continental, but good enough to set you up for sightseeing. staff very helpful, room was comfortable and practical. location was superb for nearby attractions, slap bang in the centre of it all.the one way system causes drivers a problem, but as the roads are clear of traffic, […] getting to parking is no real trouble. I read most of the reviews before seleccting this hotel. I rate this hotel very high for a three star hotel. The staff worked hard to answer our questions and make our visit enjoyable. In fact, I was able to negotiate an extra day stay in a larger room with air conditioning (the rooms on the third floor did not have AC) for the same price I received […] online. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was very good, and the views and music from the dining room are great. Our rooms faced the street and yes it was noisey when the windows were opened. However, I agree with previous reviews you will be outside sightseeing during the time the traffic is the busiest. If you stay in a room with AC make sure you ask for the remote control. They also loaned me an adapter so I could charge my computer. I also asked for and received an "old" room key to place it in the light switch so my wife could use the lights while I leave the room with the only room key they provide (security feature). They kept our luggage on the last day after we checked out so we could continue our sightseeing. Mehr

Ideal situation right on the canal and a two min walk from the square. Room very simple but a great view of the canal and a comfortable bed with extra pillows and covers in the closet it was also very quiet at night.Breakfast was fine.

Our two-night stay at the Hotel Bourgoensch Hof (March 31 and April 1, 2011) far exceeded our expectations. Johannas met us at the front desk and guided us through the unique features of his hotel. He was always there with answers to the multitude of questions asked by my bride. His command of the English language is excellent and his years of employment […] in London are evident. The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the middle of everything in Brugge. It is apparent that the place has had a major renovation as energy efficiency and state of the art appointments are everywhere. Our room overlooked the main street, but the windows kept the noise low and the temperature just right. The room was much larger than expected….larger than many in the US. The breakfast (included in our room rate) was substantial and delicious. It included everything typical of breakfast in Belgium; bread, meat, cheese, yogurt, dried fruits, coffee, tea, and milk, plus an array of American style breakfast cereals. Mira took great pride in her service to the customers. Breakfast in the dining room overlooking one of the beautiful canals was an experience I look forward to having again. On arrival we were checked in straight away even though we were a couple of hours early. The staff were friendly and very helpful, answered all our questions and went out of their way to get us train tables etc.The room was bright and airy. Wonderful hotel. Beautiful,comfortable rooms. We didn't even have a canal view, but the view of the street offered a sweeping vista of the Belfort and cobblestone streets below. The breakfast was excellent (meat, cheese, bread, croissants, coffee, yogurt, granola, cereal, milk, eggs, several types of juices, teas). Great views of the canal from the […] breakfast room. The location was just a block away from the Markt square and convenient to everything. We took the public transit bus from the rail station and then walked the block from the bus stop to the hotel. The only thing is that this hotel doesnt have its own parking, but was told of nearest place to park. Hotel very quiet with excellecent location right on the river. The hotel is situated right on the edge of one of central Bruges canals. Some of the rooms offer a canal view and the view is wonderful. The location is perfect for all old town Bruges located just far enough away from the area's of nightime noise but still only a 1 minute walk to the Markt. Spent two nights here during December. Hotel is small, very picturesque and located on a canal near the Belfort and Markt. We booked a budget room which was tiny, as was the bathroom with a tub no standup shower and with an inside airshaft view. Larger rooms and several with canal views were considerably more expensive. A good breakfast buffet was included […] in our rate. There is also a restaurant and bar inside the hotel. We had a car, not needed in Bruges, which we parked for a fee in one of the hotel's leased garage spaces within a short walking distance. The hotel entrance is through a gate and a short alley off of a one way street. There is no parking on the street and had to move our car when we were checking in. There is a police station in the narrow street directly across from the hoel entrance way. The location was superb and all sights and tourist locations were within easy walking distance. There are numerous restaurants and cafes (where beer is served) within a short walk from the hotel Mehr

This hotel was in a great location and the staff were extremely pleasant. I would definitely stay again. The breakfast and dining room were great. The room was a tad small, but most rooms in Europe are. The layout was great and everything was clean. The hotel gave us a price guarantee voucher for a taxi ride to the central station, which was great, […] but just watch out for the taxi drivers themselves. Ours took our 6Euro voucher when we got in the car and charged us 8Euro at the end and acted as if the voucher did not exist. Mehr

The hotel is ideally situated just off the Markt square, and offers genuine canal view rooms. Our room was right on the water's edge and was excellent, however the secondary glazing was not well fitted and allowed some noise through. All of the attractions are close by, including the Belfort, Chocolate Museum and De Haalfe Maan Brewery, as well as numerous […] bars, restaurants and chocolate shops. I forgot to reserve parking as there is no option to do this on the Hotels.com site but there was a secure pay carpark only a short walk away. The location was great - only a very short walk to the main square and right next to the canal. Our room was big and warm […] with a nice fireplace and TV. There were 2 single beds that were comfy and the bathroom was clean. There was a weird window in the bathroom that had been blocked by plywood but I guess that was from where they had converted the next door house to join the hotel. The ceilings in the bathroom and toilet were still only half painted, but this didn't make any difference to the overall impression of the room. All in all a nice place to stay and one of the cheapest hotels I could find in the city centre. Definitely recommended! Mehr

The best thing about this hotel is the location - it really is in "position A" - right next to the Belfort and Burg, and it is actually in "the" picture postcard photograph of Bruges. カナルビューのお部屋を予約しました。ホテルの外観は運河前で素晴らしい！運河は部屋に入ってドアの目の前でした。ホテルをでて少し、地ビールのおいしいお店もすぐそこ。マルクト広場にも近くてロケーションは最高！部屋は昔の建物のままなので、快適さはいまいち。GWの宿泊でしたが、暖房設備がイマイチだったり、シャワーの湯量がイマイチだったり・・・。すこし寒かったです。それを気にせず素泊まり感覚だととってもいいホテルだと思います。
