Park Hotel - Nottingham

My room was lovely, the staff were friendly and the dining ara and longue were gorgeous. The food slightly let it down - it is very basic, not sure I would eat there again but I would definitely stay there again.

The room had a very comfortable bed. The kettle was very good. The room was not very sound proof. Trams run along Waverley St so it is easy to get to town. The food from the restaurant smelled lovely. First you will need at least 2 of you, one to stay with the car whilst the other gets and pays a deposit for a parking permit. Then try and find somewhere to park on the street where there is not too much broken window glass on the floor. The rooms are incredibly small so if you are of large build don't go. Bathroom the same, tiny shower, sink blocked […] etc. Bed small and worn out, only one small pillow and one set of towels provided despite booking for 2. Did not sleep at all. Constant noise of a motor running, like trying to sleep in a factory. At 3.30 the resident mob returned on mass. Shouting playing load music and running from room to room slamming doors. Very nice hotel with a sauve layout. Breakfast was very good and receptionist was friendly. Bed was very comfortable and room was very clean. Recommend 4****

I was a bit sceptical at first as work were paying so didn't need a cheap room per se - and this was a very cheap room for bed and breakfast!! But I was very pleased and it was excellent value for the money. Just as the reviews say - very helpful staff, comfortable slightly small rooms in bit of a bit of tlc (mine fine but for a bit of damp in bathroom) […] but very comfortable - free wifi that worked fine - very nice breakfast and pleasing location! A budget hotel that is very tired in décor and function. Although staff are attentive and helpful some of the items on the limited food menu were not available when I stayed and the evening meal was average at best. Breakfast however was freshly cooked and tasty. The shower in the room had seen better days and only sent a trickle of water out when turned […] on. I was a little confused upon entering the premises, this is of course, once I actually FOUND the location, their address and their postcode did not match up on my GPS. Entering was a little confusing and the reception/dining room are in a different building to the rooms. But we finally made our way up to our room and were very pleasantly surprised by […] it. Although small, it was well put together. The location was perfect too, only a small walk to Rock City where we were going for a show. The only problem was lack of parking. The only place to park was in a permit holders spot, and the hotel had no more permits to hand out, so I had to get up at 8:30 the next morning and leave. That I felt was incredibly ridiculous. Mehr

Room & service were finbe - my only complaint would be that they have no off street parking, so you could end up hauling your bags a bit

First glance all seemed ok but some areas of the room were not at all clean, e.g windows and curtains. Extremely small room and garden area could do with some attention. Suited me for location but I would think twice about staying there again.

This will now be my first choice of hotel whenever I stay in Nottingham. Clean, smart, comfortable and if booked through Laterooms, a great price too.

The perfect small hotel within walking distance of the centre, very helpful and friendly staff, lovely breakfast, nice room.

Good clean hotel, small room but close to the centre of the city. The full english breakfast was very poor, would give it a miss next time and go to a local cafe/pub.

hotel and staff very good with parking available a couple of streets away by permit. good location for the city centre and good views over the park from the room.

The Park Hotel is an attractive old building. Sadly it is further away from the public car park thanwe thought it would be, and has no parking of its own. Lots of steps up to the hotel and also inside, and no lift. We had a very small room on the top floor. There was no air conditioning and it was very hot during our visit. The window was a sash style […] opening and the headboard of the bed blocked most of the opening leaving it stifling inside . Although a double room it was very crammed, the en-suite contained a toilet and shower, the sink was in the bedroom. The hotel and the room were clean and adequate but not recommended in hot weather. The refurb which has brought the hotel up to its current standard was not too long ago, so things still look and feel good. The beds are well sprung, the TV is good with satellite channels and the decor is fine. The free wi-fi is most useful too. The breakfast is better than in many places and the evening meals are tasty and fairly priced. You will […] not get a better deal for price and quality in Nottingham. I've stayed here now for many weeks and I would not keep re-booking if it was less than good. I book through Quidco and hotels.com to get the best deals. Mehr

Brilliant hotel for its price. Big rooms and massive king size bed in mine. Bathroom is well laid out and room well decorated. Minor negatives is the floors squeak and u can hear people in the adjacent rooms and steps from the floor above. And the doors are not well designed to eliminate corridor lighting going through door frames as well as corridor […] noise. So at night, I kept being awake by bright lights on the door frames. Mehr

I had been upgraded and despite the upgrade, the room had no air conditioning so I had to sleep with the window open ... and the bathroom was tiny ... there was a bar of soap provided by the hotel but it looked like it had been already used ... the telephone in the room did not work !!!

priced booked in the USA for a UK visit - paid in $$ - so a great deal when compared with UK pricing in Pounds

easy access to town & aboretum. bed really comfy. didn't try the breakfast.

Very clean, room cleaned everyday. Breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly and polite. Would definite stay again.

I stayed two nights in the Park hotel in August 09. The hotel is situated about a ten minute walk from nottingham city centre but there is a tram line you can get if you have suitcases etc and dont fancy the walk uphill. The hotel itself is nicely styled inside and looks like it was refurbished recently. Its an old building and I found the bedroom very […] small. As its an old converted building you have small narrow staircases, creaky floorboards and can hear everytime the room next door turns on the tap! I've often stayed in modern hotels and come to expect more from the room (it was half the size of rooms in the Welbeck hotel - for same price). The ensuite was tiny... i suspect it was added on recently as it was a box-sized. This left the room cramped with no space to put 2 suitcases. There were good features.. the room was nicely styled with LCD tv, tea/coffee and pocket sprung mattress.. unfortunately the room felt like as small as a prison cell so i didnt want to spend much time in it. The pictures on the website are lovely but this is not my idea of a nice comfortable hotel. The breakfast was good and the dining room nice and the staff helpfil but all the good things could not make up for the very small room Mehr

Arrived at the park hotel early afternoon the day before an important meeting. I had originally booked a single room, however upon arrival they upgraded me to a superior king size double at no extra charge, the room was beautiful. Infact the whole stay was great, everything from my complimentary parking voucher to the decor, to the choice of breakfast […] and the room. The only down side was the state of the gardens upon arriving at the hotel they were a bit over grown and jungle like, but that is probably me just being very picky. Both members of staff i met were very attentive and helpful. Perfect stay would happily go back again or recommend to others. Mehr

Lidt slidt men ellers ok. Stille og roligt. Bad mangler knager. værelses dør meget utæt. måtte tætne med et håndklæde for ikke at fryse

Vi var på den fantstiska festivalen Firefest och det här hotellet låg centralt och det tog bara 5 minuter att gå till Rock City. Litet sovrum med ett gigantiskt badrum. Något ologiskt men vi slängde in bagaget där. Ingen frukost, men ärligt talat, vem kan sakna en brittisk frukost?

Hotellin henkilökunta oli joustava. Sain autotallin (tosin pieni) käyttööni. Parkkeeraus olisikin ollut suuri ongelma. Aamiainen (kontinental) oli runsas ja hyvä. Hotelli oli hiljainen. Ei ollut meluavia asiakkaita. Lähin raitiovaunupysäkki oli tosin hiukan kaukana, mutta kulkuyhteys raitiovaunulla oli muuten hyvä.

The hotel was refurbished and clean. The staffs were kind. I would like to recommend the full English breakfast.

Loin de la gare à pieds mais métro et centre ville à proximité. Chambre confortable, grand lit mais salle de bain petite. Un bon séjour en général

Fint hotell, ligger nära centrum. Har mysiga rum och bra service!

Hotellet ligger centralt og er rigtig hyggeligt indrettet. Badeværelset var dog utrolig slidt og vasken var stoppet da vi ankom. Dette blev dog ordnet, da vi påpegede problemet. Alt i alt etgodt hotel til prisen.

A 10min à pied du centre; pour la voiture, il faut insister pour obtenir un "permit" (autorisation de stationner dans la rue). Personnel très disponible.

Assez prés du centre mais mobilier et salle de bain vieillots. Prix finalement élevé par rapport aux prestations.Correct pour une nuit.

hotel tres chaleureux,pres du centre ville, dans un environnement calme aupres d un parc. acceuil aimable,salon et dining room a la decoration reussie. chambre aussi bien decoree, propre ,literie refaite tous les jours.breakfast de bonne qualite, diner corect.
