SpringHill Suites Louisville Downtown - Louisville

Hotel was nice and price was very good. Really appreciated the breakfast buffet. Staff was pleasant, but not all were knowledgable on all aspects of operation. I asked about the "free" airport shuttle service when I checked in and was told they would need only a 15 minute notice. When I got ready to leave I was told the shuttle was only for guests from […] certain companies. Had to pay to get back to the airport. Location was not ideal. Had to walk past at least one pawn shop and "adult store" to get to my conference a few blocks away. Mehr

Once I completed the reservation on hotels.com I called the hotel to confirm a that time I asked for non-feather pillows as I am HIGHLY allergic I was assured that all the pillows are hypoallergenic and not to be worried I said ok, at that time I also wanted to confirm that I would not have to switch rooms as I paid for a night with Marriott points […] and one night on Hotels.com. I was heavily convinced that this is not an issue as they do it all the time, this action wouldn't be a surprise. Upon arrival I went through the same exact conversation. Later that night after coming home about 1 am I showered and went straight to bed.Around 4 am I woke to use my inhaler (nothing terribly strange as I have asthma) I fell back asleep till 8 am where I was awoken by a asthma attack. After calming myself down and considering the hospital I hadn't thought tho check the pillows yet. I showered and contemplated what I had possibly come in contact with. Discouraged at my short list of irritants I checked the pillows to find that they were 86% goose down. Upon finding the culprit I went down stairs right away requested new NON FEATHER pillows which were brought to the front desk without cases and handed to me to carry up on my own. The representative then asked me if I needed a late check out as it was already 9 am. I relayed again that I am staying additional nights, she looked at both myself and the computer with confusion. Upon explaining AGAIN, she requested all the keys to the room (by the way I am still holding the new pillows) to check me out and check me into the next reservation. I had to go upstairs to get my partners key drop the pillows to realize that she never offered to come retrieve the culprits or pillow cases for the new ones. I went back down to complete the check out and asked for pillow cases where I was asked if there was a cleaning lady on my floor and I should ask her. After doing all this my day carried on fine... Right next to the Yum center and Convention Center. The cleaning staff was so sweet and took great care of us. Loved 2nd floor lounge.

We were pleased with the price and accommodations of this hotel. It was kind of "far out" in terms of its modern decor, but comfortable. We were all impressed by the breakfast bar (sausage, waffles, eggs, etc.) the the spacious area so that we could actually eat a good meal at a relaxed pace before hitting the road.

Stayed here overnight for the NCAA tournament. Was a close walk to the arena. Still a little pricey but comparable to surrounding hotels for a special event. Read several reviews about how good the breakfast was but I disagree. The staff couldn't keep up and they kept running out of everything. Food was soso. THIS HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN , THE BEDS WERE COMFY AND WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO ALL THE RESTAURANTS, BARS AND CONVENTION CENTERS. GREAT PLACE TO STAY . WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMED.

My daughter was celebrating her 16th birthday. The hotel was located within walking distance of the attractions. Hotel staff was wonderful. They gave her balloons, a birthday hat, and a card. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We will definately stay there again and reccommend it to our friends.

Very nice Room, Split bath one room sink and shower and other room is commode with a small (not to user friendly) sink. But would stay again if in town.

It was downtown Louisville and close to hospitals. There was alot of traffic noise and sirens. The bed wasn't very comfortable but the room was clean. A very good breakfast was served each morning.

The room was absolutely beautiful! It was like a studio apartment and was decorated very nicely! The comfort was outstanding! It had a very nice TV, mini fridge, and microwave. We had some rowdy neighbors down the hall, but the noise was all but gone when we closed the door. The location was great and it was an awesome weekend getaway!

Very nice modern hotel in a great location close to attractions and the Interstate. Staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. Quiet. Although there were several large groups in the hotel we didn not hear any noise at all. Only complaint was that the single TV was in the bedroom area and not in the living room area so you couldn't […] see it from the sofa. Was in Louisville for 2 nights -while there did some sight seeing (Louisville Slugger museum & Riverbats game -recommend both -if you are a sports fan). The good: 1) Hotel staff -very nice -very helpful (helped me with a pharmacy issue -which was appreciated!). 2) Location -very good for restaurants, sight seeing, access to highway, can walk to many […] things. 3) Parking -very easy -no annoying valet to contend with. Cost was $9/night -which is rather inexpensive considering how much other cities and hotels gouge you on parking. 4) Internet -was easy to deal with. I hooked up my laptop and was on the internet in 5-seconds -yea! The bad: 1) Room was small -a "suite" in name only -no bigger than a regular hotel room. 2) The room had bad smell to it -not sure why? I was not in the room much (sleeping & showering) -so I didn't raise a stink (pardon the pun) -I just endured it. I would recommend the hotel to those looking to stay downtown -good value, good staff, good location. Mehr

very nice hotel. The rooms are very modern and well-equipped. We enjoyed our brief stay. Breakfast was average.

My niece and I met there for a visit and were pleasantly surprised at the price, location, and overall cleanliness....it was truly a bit unexpected. Would gladly stay there again.

Perfect location if you are planning to see a show @ the YUM Center! Nice hotel with clean rooms and a great complimentary breakfast, pool and exercise room! Will definitely stay here next time we're in town!!!

Enjoyed the stay. Very nice hotel.

I have always stayed at Fairfield. I was told they were sold out but I could get the higher quality Spring Hill. I got there and they were in the same building. The room was almost identical except for the sliding doors on the bathroom which left a big gap. We stayed on 9th floor. We had to ride elevator down to 6th floor, go across to Fairfield, then […] down a hall in order to get ice. The elevators took atleast 5 minutes every time we rode them. The breakfast was the same as Fairfield and I was told it would be much larger. The indoor pool was really cold and had dirty things in it and we were the first ones there when it opened so I know it wasn't cleaned the night before. We walked to 4th street live which was fine. The area between the two was full of people yelling across the streets and threatening to fight and the police next door at the gas station just got in his car and left and did nothing. I love Fairfield but I won't stay at a Spring Hill for the extra money. The area is a little shady so I'm not sure if I would recommend it unless you are staying with others and don't have to walk the streets alone. Mehr

The location of this hotel is very convenient for Actor's Theatre. The suite is a great accommodation when you have several in your party. It' so civilized to have cocktail hour in the suite before dinner with places for everyone to sit. Sleek, modern decor. springhill suites was clean! staff very friendly, continental breakfast was great! pool was nice, parking was scarce, i found the layout of the bathroom odd its right at the end of the bed ???? shower and sink in one area, then u step out and a very small sink with toilet in another area, no tub which i actually missed ;( but it was for one night so […] that was fine, i have stayed in louisville several timess and the room size was small, if i was going to stay more than 1 night wud get a bigger room, or wud opt to stay at another hotel as i have yet to find a bad one yet, gault house and hyatt have also been nice choices as well but didnt have some of the amenities as springhill suites such as breakfast buffett, indoor pool, so u trade off for different things but for a child and an adult for one night it was perfect! This hotel was easily accessible from the freeway and was close to many attractions. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool is quite small but was great for my small kids. Also, there is no hot tub for the adults. The breakfast was excellent and was available until 10 a.m. It was the perfect send-off. We loved the location! We were able to walk to most things that we wanted to see and Fourth Street Live was just around the corner. Nice place to stay!

The service was great...so good in fact that we heard "housekeeping" followed by knocks on the sourrounding doors at 8:30 am. The walls are paper thin and others conversations and such could be heard all night. The bedding was decent but the towels and shower were a bit dissapointing. The shower door would not stay closed so there was water on the […] floor afterwards. It is a two block walk from 4th street live and we received discounts on admission and drinks by showing that we were staying that Springhill. It was an ok experience for the price, but I would probably try something else next time. Just to see if better is possible. Mehr

Do not stay at this hotel, they charge your card without notifying you. Apparently when the hotel manager is not there, no one can handle a problem. I would not recommend this hotel, if you do ,I would definitely check all of your charges before checking out making sure they are correct, because it is a process to get your money back, they will take […] your money but not return it so fast. This hotel was my backup plan when I stayed downtown after a wedding. A lot of first places were booked due to the Lady Gaga concert. But I was holy with the hotel. The rooms were clean and were a good size. The location with the downtown area isn't too bad but I don't mind walking a little. The staff was excellent and helpful. My only complaint is […] there parking garage is kind if small but they we were vert helpful with directions to their second parking lot (which is across the street, very close). Great location- walking distance to great places to eat- free internet access and plenty of room to spread out... very clean and modern

i was in town for the ironman in August. booked myself here, and my family at another hotel (not intentionally). after i checked in and coordinating moving them all to this hotel. the little suite/living room area is great to spread out in , and have a place to sit other than your bed. i liked the modern decorations, too - and such a friendly staff. if […] youre staying for the ironman next August, this is a great location. Nice room, loved the separate shower/ sink room from toilet room. Very comfortable bed. Strange combination of 2 Marriott hotels, making for odd layout. Dining area fun. Lack of parking and frustrations with parking exit system.

My Family and I ( 5 people)stayed comfortably in a double queen suite overnight for a concert on 4th st live! It was a great location for this being as it is within walking distance from the Springhill. The suite was roomy and VERY clean. I was also impressed by the Eco friendliness of the Springhill. Wonderful customer service from Will & Sara at the front desk. Accomodations were as promised. Great location with fun shopping and a nice selection of restaurants within walking distance. My husband was complimentary of the mattress. This was a first! We have been married 20 years with many hotels stays.
