My wife and I attended an event at the Ted Constance Center and stayed at the Springhill Suites. We could not have chosen a more convenient location. I was impressed with the clean room and common areas. We ate lunch at the Monarch Sports Grille and were equally impressed. My only exception was the front desk. On more than one occasion we were delayed […] when an employee, I think her name was Keisha, was distracted my a male visitor at the desk or not present at the counter resulting in the house keeping staff summoning her for us. I stayed at the hotel for one night and had a very pleasant experience. I recommend anyone in the ODU area to stay a few nights at this hotel when in town.

We went into our room which looked very comfy, but we soon found out that the lock inside could be forced into the room. We went downstairs to the reception to talk to the receptionist about our problem. She sent someone to take care of it, but he didn't seem to do anything. We asked the receptionist about it one more time, and she said they would fix […] it tommorow, but that was the day we left. Overall it was a good stay and i will recommend this hotel to others. Every thing was nice I think the pool could have been big .

The hotel is fairly new and completely non-smoking which I appreciate. While there is a separate seating area with an uncomfortable chair and loveseat, there is only 1 TV for the entire room, and there is no door so having the TV on when someone is asleep can be problematic. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was adequate. […] The hotel was convenient to where we needed to conduct business, but otherwise wouldn't recommend the neighborhood. The website says that parking is free, but I was charged $5 per day to park. The website also says they have an airport shuttle for a mominal fee but that wasn't true either. Mehr

Well located, clean and confortable. A few options for restaurantes and bars in the neighborhood. Friendly staff. Better to request an upper floor room, due to noise and limited privacy on street level.

This is a great hotel to stay at if you are seeing a concert or other event at the Ted Constant Center. Literally a stone's throw from the front door - right across the street. Beautiful rooms, quiet, spacious and friendly staff. Great stay.

Unless you are there for ODU reasons, I don't see a reason to stay here. It was clean, and it's in good condition, but very average when it comes to beds, linens, and finishes. Better options for same (or less) money in downtown Norfolk.

Everything was excellent about the room and the service. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the breakfast. The fruit was old and bruised, and the pre-cooked eggs and canadian bacon were not hot. However, they had things you could make yourself like waffles, which seemed to please other guests, and the coffee was great! It is on Hampton […] Blvd., which is a straight shot to the naval base, so I didn't have trouble with directions. And the grill attached to the hotel is fabulous, with excellent food and great service! I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others! Mehr

The Springhill Suites Hotel was amazing! The location could not have been better and the service was way above average. The check in was extremly fast...parking was convienent...room was so clean and new...I can't think of anything that could have been better! I highly reccomend this hotel and the price could not be beat!

My wife loved this hotel because it was very clean. If she's says it's clean, you better believe it's clean. The continental breakfast was 1st class. Not only did they have warm foods,but also had apricots and walnuts to sprinkle on cereal if you liked. I would definitely recommend it.

It was a great stay, but in a military city, a discount to the veterans and active duty should be a no-brainer as in Fayetteville, NC (Fort Bragg, NC) and most other military communities throughout the US of America. Some foreign countries I have stayed in offer one night free to their veterans for each year of their service to their homeland.

As a FO Manager in a prestigious 4-Star hotel myself, I was a disappointed by the lack of service at check-in. There was no offer of bag assistance, we had to pay for parking, and the guest keys never operated the parking gates when we entered. The "suite" was cramped, and afforded little bypass space from the bedroom to the sitting area. Housekeeping […] did not show until almost 5pm, and when I requested clean towels and facecloths from her, we returned much later to find the towels(but no facecloths) hanging in a bag on our door!! Not at all what I expected from the information on their website including the room descriptions and photos of the property. Also, the "Fitness Facility" consisted of only a bike and a treadmill. Though it is not the property I manage,I expected a much better experience and service/amenities. Mehr
