Das Hotel ist ausgelegt auf Liebesurlaub. Dementsprechend sind die Aktivitäten am Abend ausgelegt. Mein Bruder und ich mußten nach den wenigen Singel-Mädchen schwer suchen ;-)

Sehr gutes Hotel - geeignet für romantische Ferien zu zweit. Hotelanlage ist groszügig und auch das Angebot am Abend (inkl. Shows) ist sehr empfehlenswert. Wir haben den Urlaub dort sehr genossen.

Das Hotel war in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Die Gartenanlage war sehr schön gepflegt. Das Buffet am Morgen war ausgezeichnet und sehr reichhaltig. Am Abend gab es 5 Restaurants zum aussuchen, was gute Abwechslung bot. Geschätzt habe ich, dass am Abend das Essen serviert wurde und man von einer Karte aussuchen konnte. Der Strand ist wunderschön und nicht […] wie in einem anderen Beitrag voll von Korallen. Ein ideales Hotel um sich zu erholen und abzuschalten (keine Kinder). Der Standard ist gehoben. Mehr

This Hotel is highly reccomended. I cannot speak highly enough. The restaurants are amazing, food is excellento, and the staff are very friendly. Also there are no children so you'll have lots of fun.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel all the staff were amazing, we couldn't fault the staff at the restaurants or the bar staff or the entertainment staff... all brilliant....Emerald room was amazingly comfortable overlooking the beach....

I really never write reviews, but I felt inclined to this time. Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel. We were greeted with cold towels and champagne when we arrived, and then my boyfriend politely asked for a room upgrade for our birthdays, and they upgraded us to a silver suite from our junior one. The room was beautiful, especially the […] tub! Our room was conveniently located by the pool/beach and the restaurants. There was a lot of variety with the restaurants, the food was good but not fantastic, but I think from living in NYC you get spoiled with food. Although, I enjoyed the lasagna at the Italian restaurant and the banana roll from the Japanese restaurant. The pool was awesome, you meet a lot of fun people and the swim up pool bar was a plus. The beach was beautiful, so sad that I'm not sipping on a drink with my toes in the sand right now. The service at the hotel was excellent. However, make sure to lock your door when you come back in your room. Sometimes, when you close the door behind you, the latch doesn't take and it is left open. Our friends got their camera stolen because they thought their door was closed and they were napping and they woke up and it was gone! Other than that I had an excellent experience here and I would recommend it to anyone. Mehr

Everything you would expect. Service was amazing. Rooms were clean, gorgeous. Food was great. Room Service and Refrigerator Bar in your room are included.

Lovely hotel, amazing facilities and amazing personnel, really recommendable!!!

This was our first time in Cancun and we were amazed when we walked in the entry way to this hotel. It is grand and elegant. We were greeted with champagne and a cool towel! We were treated like royalty by all the staff and the day we left we called for help with transporting our luggage and they were right there within minutes. The waiters, the pool […] personnel, the bartenders, the vendors and especially the team of consierge people in the lobby, were extremely polite and provided great service with whatever we needed. The only small issue we had was with the bathroom floor. The polished stone floors were beautiful but slippery when wet. The elegant glass door that swung open in front of the shower was very nice looking, but water from the shower would seep out onto the floor from under it. We thought we might need to bring our own non slip bath or shower mat next time we visit. The hotel provided a small towel to step out onto, but that became quickly soaked and the water had seeped beyond it. More traction in the shower (also stone) and floor outside the shower would be a plus. My boyfriend actually slipped as he stepped into the shower and stubbed 3 of his toes against the wall in there. His foot was black and blue for the remaining time :( We love hanging out in the pool and this pool was fabulous with a short path to the beach. The swim up bar was great and they had activity directors with a lot of positive energy, that created fun things for the swimmers to participate in. Though secluded from the hotel zone, a shuttle is provided for going into town and taxis are always available. Overall, we would return and highly recommend this hotel. We will be going back :) Mehr

You would be crazy not to stay here. This place was paradise. My boyfriend and I spent 2 days at the Hilton in Cancun and then 3 days at the Valentin. The Hilton doesn't even come close to this hotel. There is a WORLD of difference between a hotel and an all inclusive resort. And this is not just an all inclusive, it's like walking into a dream. 7 restaurants, […] vegas style shows, games, activities every hour, gorgeous beach, staff was ridiculously wonderful, you get your room cleaned 3 times a day, room service 24 hours a day, 5 bars..... ALL INCLUDED in the price. I don't think anything I could write here could do this place justice. You have to experience it. I actually cried when I had to leave. I will NEVER go back to the Hilton or to a normal hotel on vacation. Mehr

After having stayed in 20-25 all inclusive hotels, this was by far the best. Normally, there is always at least one thing wrong... or that you don't care for, but in this case, everything was fantastic. Room: I stayed in a basic room (1208) in building one. It was in impeccable condition with a nice bed, sofa, flat screen tv, marble everywhere, nice […] heavy glass doors and more. Very clean and comfortable. Resort: Very well maintained, fantastic pools with several large pool bars. Beach ok if you walked 100 yards North. Bring water shoes. Food: Every meal was like a 5 star restaurant. Good quality, nicely decorated plates, great wine. Never had an issue getting a table right away and the service was great. Drink: Good drink. Nice wine. Even had room service bring wine. Room Service: What can I say. 10 minutes or less and the desk would call and check up in 15 minutes. Entertainment: Did not see any shows, but the music and bands in the courtyard were perfect for listening and dancing. I will absolutely return to this hotel. Mehr

This place is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilites are beautiful and very well-done. The food at all of the restaurants we tried was delicious. We have been to other resorts where the buffets are full of greasy food. It was not the case here. We loved the Japonese hibatchi restaurant. We give VIM four thumbs up!

This was our first all inclusive resort experience and we loved it! The staff was beyond courteous and helpful, the food was great and the amenities were great. Our favorite restaurant was Taman Sari (Indonesian) - we had an amazing waitress, Melinda, who went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. We booked an excursion from the hotel lobby […] which ended up being wonderful. The beach was rocky and choppy but we were told by a couple who stayed at a different resort that there's was the same. Large wonderful facility, great landscaping, really nice room, lots of walking, fantastic pool, incredible beach free flowing liquor, wine, beer, water and activities. I only drink cappuccinos. The food was hit and miss as was the wait staff. If you arrived early there was little waiting and the food was much better. Arrive 30 minutes after the restaurants […] opened, expect to wait 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. The breakfast and lunch buffet was just that, the quality did not exist 30 minutes after opening each meal. I work in food service so I'm very picky. My stomach was upset from meal number one until the day I left. Stayed 5 days and could not wait to get back to the states. My stomach was no longer upset the very next day I got home. Was it the food? Was it the water? I really do not know what caused the upset stomach and I can usually eat anything. I'll take Aruba anytime. If you want all inclusive with lots of water and drinks the VIM may be for you. Mehr

This hotel totally exceeded our expectations. The food was incredible! There were so many options. (And not to mention everything really was 'all included!) I loved the natural beauty and the wildlife around (iguanas and birds). The bars and drinks were exceptional as well. We didn't even leave the resort. There were so many activities I enjoyed like […] Pilates, Yoga, bike riding, volleyball, etc., even rollerblading! Very awesome place to go with your significant other! We will definitely be back. Valentin---The resort is extremely large and spreads over many acres so its not overly crowded and while we were there, it was between 80 and 100 capacity. The best things about the resort are the service and the food. The service was outstanding all week. Every single person working there was friendly and helpful, they genuinely seemed to care if you […] were having a good time and if you needed anything, it was provided instantly and with a smile. The food was also very good. There were five different cuisines at offer in the evening restaurants, our favorites listed in order: French, Indonesian, Mexican and then the Italian and Japanese which we did not get to. There were also two huge restaurants with buffets for breakfast and lunch and the food quality was very good. Our only complaint on the food was that there was no Mexican food outside of the restaurant and the restaurant itself, although good, was more like posh Mexican cuisine, not your typical burritos and nachos. It would have been tremendous to have some spicy good old fashioned Mexican food for lunch, but nothing was particularly spicy, on the count of trying to please so many tastes. The restaurants all have good times as well so you can always get something to munch on and you can also order poolside food and room service any time of the day or night and its all included. The grounds were well kept and clean. Many people have previously complained about the lagoon in the middle. While I agree it is kinda a waste and could be done better (many more colorful flowers) it was not offensive. My guess is that they wanted or hoped to create a bit of a wild life center there, which never really got off the ground. There is tons of walking space and it did not feel cramped like other resorts we have been to in the past. This hotel exceeded our expectations. We were greeted with cool towels and sparkling wine upon arrival, check-in was fast, and we were taken in a golf buggy to our room. We had a junior deluxe suite (entry level room) which was amazing. Clean, spacious, good air conditioning, tv, sofa, huge bed, balcony, huge bathroom and a mini fridge which they restock […] daily (included in the package). The room was spotless and housekeeping did a great job everyday. The food - Breakfast and lunch is buffet style...all the food is amazing, well-presented and very fresh. Service is great. Dinner is a la carte and you can choose from a French, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, Indonesian, Seafood or steak restaurant. No reservations are needed, you just turn up. Every meal we had was excellent. The service is perfect. They keep your drinks topped up and they are so attentive. Room service is included in the package, both times we ordered it came in less than 25 mins and food was great. The pool is huge and never felt crowded. there are 2 swim up bars and you can order drinks from your sunloungers and they bring them quickly. Beach was also very good. In summary this hotel is amazing, easily the best hotel ive ever stayed in. Hotels.com had the best price of any site and the booking process was very good. If you are thinking of going to this area, seriously consider staying at the Valentin Imperial Maya Mehr

Fantastic service! Everything exceeded out expectations! Not a resort for partiers and loud people! Very romantic and serene! Please make sure that you feed the resident puppy dog that hangs out in the walkway between the restaurants! He has very sad eyes and will tug at your heart!

I can't believe how awesome this hotel was...especially for the price! The pictures online seriously don't do it justice. We stayed in standard room but it was huge. We thought about upgrading to the jr suite but the location of the standard rooms (building 4 or 5 are best) was better plus the standard rooms had jetted tubs. I read some complaints because […] of the distance you have to walk but it's really not bad at all. If you are older or can't physically walk much, just ask for building 4. Thats a pretty good location plus you can always arrange for a car or golf cart to drive you around if needed. The hotel gives you a daily "newspaper" the night before telling of all the activities for the upcoming day, the weather, sun rise/set times, featured tours, etc. We were really impressed with the entertainment. Every night they had something great going on and if we wanted to make an even later night of it, we would just head to the sports bar. The staff was great, always around and friendly. Every day they had different animals you could get prof pics taken with (parrots, snake, monkey, etc). They have rental cars on site for pretty good rates. If you are brave enough, rent a car for the day and you can do all the exursions for much cheaper. The food was amazing! Lunch was just buffet but it was better than any buffet i've had in the states. Dinner at the French place and the Lobster Pot is a must. Transfers to/from airport aren't included in rates but there are plenty of options to book online for all budgets. The pool was huge, beach was long. We never felt cramped. Balconies in all rooms was a great perk. Absolutely nothing wrong with property, price, food, staff, entertainment. The hotel is only 1 yr 8 months old so I expect the prices will start increasing soon...and I would pay a much higher rate if I had to in order to stay again! Mehr

Hi, people! I never write about hotels, but I had to make a real post about this one... Valentim Imperial Maya is a perfect place for honeymooners!!! My husband and I stayed there at the end of June/2011, at a Golden suite, on block 8. The bedroom was giant, with bathtub and a perfect view of the pool and the lake (and distant view of the sea). We […] had room service for many times, the food was always great (but it took like 1h to arrive). The breakfast buffet is very good (maybe they could have more options of fruits), and restaurant itself is amazing! We visited many places on Riviera Maya and Cancun, like Xel Ha, Tulum, Chichen Itza and Isla Mujeres, and also did parasailing at the hotel shore - the good part is that this hotel is near by Cancun, so, we were always one of the last to picked up by the tour bus, and the first to be left back at the hotel ;-) If you want to go to Cancun or Playa del Carmen, you'll take 30 min by bus, and you can take a public one at the road in front of the hotel (for 50 pesos) For dinner, we could choose Mexican, Japanese, Italian, Seafood, Lobster pot, French or Thailandese restaurants... we tried all on, except the Italian, and all were fantastic!!! Above all things, we admired the cordiality and education of all hotel workers... everybody treated us very attentiously and kindly! The only thing I would say they could improve is the transportation inside the hotel. The place is huge, and we stayed at the last building, far away from the Lobby (close to the beach), and it was very difficult to get a ride in the few golf cars they had there... I think they should try to let bikes in front of the room buildings... it would be gorgeous and much fast! :-) The beach was very beautiful, with that blue caribbean sea (!!!) and we had always a waiter nearby to get us a drink... some parts of the beach is rocky, but you have just to walk until the Mar y Tierra restaurant, and will find a nice place to get in the sea (that is not alway Mehr

Buen Hotel, excelente claidad en las comidas, buenas piezas, lo único que no me gustó es que está alejado del playa del carmen y el transporte es de 18 dolares por persona. saludos
