Quiet villa-like hotel near Ciampino airport. The hotel feels like you are in the country. We arrived after 11PM and were met by someone who let us into our rooms. Room was very clean and well appointed. The room had a loft so you had a feeling of spaciousness. The next morning we were offered a wonderful breakfast buffet that included individually […] made cappuccino, fresh fruit and delicious italian pastries. The front desk was ver friendly and provided a lot of good advice for our visit in Rome. Staff dropped what they were doing to drive us to the car rental office. The only down side were the taxis at the airport. We arrived after the hotel's shuttle was available and had to deal with the taxi overcharging for a short drive. Mehr

Stayed here one night after arriving Ciampino Airport, which is close (but not too close from a noise point of view - the area is quite rural, although close to Rome). Lovely old farmhouse building on a hill, very private, surrounded by gardens with terraces and tables. Rooms very clean, bathroom spotless. Got taxi from Ciampino to Residenza, then later […] that evening the hotel driver took us to a local restaurant, and collected us after - very helpful. He also took us to Train Station the following morning (after a very early breakfast) and had tickets which we bought from him instead of queuing/using machines. Would recommend this hotel if you need to stay close to Ciampino Airport, need to stay outside Rome, or are travelling through the area and need a nice place to stay. G Vaughan Mehr

we were provided this hotel which is near the WRONG airport. After spending 90 minutes in a 100 Euro cab ride, the night lady, morning staff, and a couple of other guests (pilots from RyanAir) rescued us from what otherwise was a travel nightmare. We arrived late at Ciampino airport and despite emailing some hours earlier we were told no shutle would be available at that time (about 11:30pm). It is a E25 taxi ride away. n the hotel room there was a note to the effect that shuttle rides had to be arranged 24 hours in advance, which happily they didn't seem to adhere to, but it was an odd place […] to put it if you need a ride from the airport in the first place. The wi-fi is essentailly non-existant; it is on dialup speed as far as I can ascertain - at least most of my emails wouldn't download whereas elsewhere they would. It is also switched off at night and has a very restricted range. We had probably the closest room and it wouldn't reach. That being said, the neighbourhood was fine, the shuttle service a life-saver, the rooms were excellent and the breakfast was wonderful. Watch the trains from Termini to the hotel - they can branch any one of four ways at Ciampino. Make sure you get the right one (if I could remember, I'd tell you) Mehr

Booked this hotel because of the expensive hotels in Rome. This hotel is at the outskirt of Rome. Though it is not in the city, it is pretty convenient by regional train (around 15min) and the free shuttle of the hotel. Just need to keep up the train schedule and it is fine. We couldn't have had a better start to our holiday. This is a really special small hotel / guest house with very efficient and welcoming staff. Beautifully restored villa, very helpful staff, they even sent someone out to find me when I got lost on the way there! Very convenient for Ciampino airport, a great discovery.

Very happy with this hotel. Will stay there whenever using RyanAir to Ciampino. Great people...nice hotel. Free transport to metro or train. Easy access to Central Rome

Hotel is good but a bit too far for international travellers,because we have to really struggle to get the luggages across the station (Rome)but the hotel provoides a shuttle service from the nearby railway station campiano or sessame room ,breakfast was good the room where we stayed had the AC at one end and bed at another They were offering bottled […] water free of cost!!!!!!! We stayed at the PIETRA DI PONENTE in late May. I can not speak highly enough of this hotel. The staff was great, friendly and helpful! The hotel itself is very nice, well kept and has a lot of charm. The dining facilities (highly recommend including breakfast in your stay) was very comfortable and breakfast was awesome. Location: The only draw back […] to the hotel is the location. And by location, I am referring to it being in the our suburbs of Rome. The neighborhood itself is wonderful and safe. However to get to Rome, you need to take a quick shuttle from the hotel to the train station and then a train into Roma Termini. The shuttle trip in about 7-10 minutes and the train trip is about 15-20 minutes. If you absolutely must step out your door and be in the center of town, then this is not your place. But if you like having a few minutes in the morning to talk and plan your adventures before hitting the day - then this place is an absolute must consider. Mehr

A fantastic small bed and breakfast with the convenience of being 10 minutes train ride from the centre of Rome, but situated in beautiful countryside, with fabulous views. Beautifully clean and comfortable with a shuttle to collect you from the airport and also take you to the train station for Rome and collect you whenever you arrive back. You can […] also get a lift in the evenings to local restaurants and be collected after your meal. I would definitely consider this hotel if you have an early flight out of Ciampino but be careful because they don't start their shuttle until 7 AM.

Positives: Building - An old wine producer/cellar turned into a hotel. It is just beautiful. The Jr. Suite I had had a loft setup with beautiful exposed beams. Breakfast - The breakfast was fantastic. Location - The location in Ciampino overlooking Rome was beautiful. You can see a good portion of the city on a clear evening. Shuttle - A free shuttle […] to the train station or airport is a great service. Negatives: Location - Although it is in a beautiful location off the beaten track, this is not a place I would suggest to stay if I were trying to visit Rome. Taking the public transport (train) is rough, definitely at peak times. However, I did not have a car, so it could be better if you are driving in and out of Rome. Lobby Smoke Smell - The lobby is beautiful, but it seems some of the employees (while very friendly) smoke often enough that it follows them into the lobby. Overall: One of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in. I would recommend it to anyone flying into or out of Ciampino. However, I don't know if I would stay here if I were vacationing in Rome and didn't have my own transport. Mehr

The hotel is a converted farm on a hill, with pleasant views, peace and quiet, but nothing to walk to in the vicinity. The shuttle to and from railway stations and the airport worked fine, with no significant waits. The train journey to central Rome is fast and cheap. Our room was a bit spartan but clean. It was comfortable enough, albeit with a shortage […] of wardrobe space. The evening meals were good and reasonably priced. My wife has a gluten intolerance and they were happy to prepare food especially for her. All in all, a pretty good place to pass a couple of days in quiet surroundings with fairly easy access to the hustle and bustle of Rome. Mehr

Every one at the hotel from the driver who picked us up at the train station to all the hotel staff were great. The hotel is about 15 min by train from the downtown terminal. Great to get into town and backafter a busy day. Breakfast is really excellent.

Was a great experience, excellent clean and big room. A hotel to rest and enjoy. It´s not to close to center city but It not was a big deal, the hotel shuttle is always available to take you to the train station and in 15 minutos you could be in Rome Centre. The journey to use the train is 1.3 euros, very cheap!

wonderful stay

There were four of us in two very spacious rooms, each with a loft. They bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable. We were a train ride out of Rome so it was very quiet. They provided a shuttle every day to get to and from the train station. The cost of the train was minimal. The breakfast spectacular as was the scenery. Some nights they had […] dinners which we thorougly enjoyed, plus the fact that we did not have to go anywhere after grueling days of sightseeing. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I can't remember when I've been so pleased with the accommodations. Highly recommended by all four of us. The minibus took us back to the airport at the end of our stay. There were no surprises. A charming hotel in a rural setting conveniently located for Ciampino Airport. An airport transfer is provided free if booked ahead. Simple basic meals are available in the evening. We did not have time to explore the local restaurants. This was a very comfortable stay for the last night of our holiday. More like a guest house than a modern hotel. However, very well set up with tasteful expensive decor. Has pleasant sitting out areas and a panoramic view of the flat plain surrounding Rome. The eating area is small and must be a headache in high season. Equally, the food was pedestrian and a bit expensive. The staff were very helpful with a prompt schuttle […] service to the local train station - 20 minutes into Rome centre. The greatest drawback is its difficult to find, isolated location. No opportunities to walk out in the evening, have to use the schuttle. No coffee or tea making facilities in room. Mehr

This is a lovely hotel with helpful staff. Our room was clean with a little balcony giving panoramic views to Rome and the hills. There was a very good choice of food at breakfast. One word of advice, if you are thinking about dinner, book beforehand as the restaurant is not open to non-residents and only opens if there are prior bookings. The only […] downside is that the hotel is not well signposted and it is easy to drive past as it is up a long driveway. That said, once you know where it is, it is easy to get to from the autostrada and you don't need to drive through the main part of Ciampino itself which for people not familiar with the town is challenging during rush-hour. We would definitely recommend this hotel for people flying to or from Ciampino airport or indeed for people who want a quiet base not far from Rome Mehr

This B&B style hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of Rome in the hills above Ciampino. It is not easy to find, so have good directions; but once you find it you won't ever want to leave. It is a villa an an acre or so of beautifully landscaped grounds with amazing night views of Rome. The hotel provides a driver who will take you to and from the […] airport, rail station and many local restaurants. From the Ciampino rail station it is only a 15 minute train ride to the center of Rome. They have a small restaurant on site and the rooms are large and clean. The staff is eager to take care of your every need and there is free internet provided using the hotels computer. I highly recommend this establishment. Mehr

This hotel was apparently built round a winery. Everything was good - rooms, restaurant, position overlooking Rome, terraces, service and also excellent value. I would definitely rebook.

After the business of central Rome, this hotel is a gorgeous haven to escape to! We had a fantastic, relaxing stay here and with the free pick up and collection from Ciampino Railway station, you would never need to stay in central Rome again! ES CASI IMPOSIBLE SABER LLEGAR AL HOTEL. ESTÁ PÉSIMAMENTE SEÑALIZADO Y LA CALLE ES CASI IMPOSIBLE DE ENCONTRAR. SE TARDA BASTANTE EN DESCUBRIR SU UBICACIÓN.

Non facilmente raggiungibile (nelle recensioni non è indicato l'indirizzo preciso), Buona posizione, buon servizio, camera non completamente comoda ma simpatica, soddisfazione buona dell'insieme degli aspetti.

Hotellets läge är ute på landsbygd men tack vare att hotellet skjutsar/hämtar dig till flygplats och järnvägsstation så tar man sig ganska snabbt in till Rom. Hotellet är en fd kyrkoruin som nu restaurerats. Tyvärr var hotellets restaurang ej öppen under tiden jag var där (lågsäsong). Det går ej så lätt att promenera i omgivningarna men efter en dags […] vandring inne i Rom var man ej så sugen på en kvällspromenad! Mehr

Det var underbart att sitta i trädgården och se ut över Rom på kvällen. Mycket fint hotell, med vänlig personal. Vi serverades även en god middag på kvällen. Men utan GPS är det nog svårt att hitta hit.

Vi skulle flyga ut från Ciampino-flygplatsen tidigt på morgonen. Hotellet låg jättefint med utsikt över Roms platå med vinodlingar runt omkring. Med bil tog det 7-8 minuter. Se till att ha GPS i bilen för att hitta. Mysiga, fräscha rum, trevlig och proffsig personal.

Nær Ciampioni flyplass; gjennomført rehabilitering av gammel vingård, nydelig hage og utsikt over Romas beliggenhet. Rolig og behagelige omgivelser, unike rom og godt sted for refleksjon, avslapning og nytelse. Også flott utgangspunkt for bilferie. Ulempen er trafikkert veg til nærmeste restaurant , men til gjengjeld fantastisk mat der. Prøv deres mixture […] of Antipasti! NB bortsett fra enkel frokost spiste vi ikke på hotellet. Mehr

Dejligt, landligt hotel som opfyldte alle forventninger i modsætning til de skuffende og dyre hoteller i Rom centrum. Havde kun en enkelt overnatning pga tildlig hjemrejse fra Ciampino, men kunne godt have brugt endnu en nat eller to. Airportshuttle er kun gratis efter kl, 7 om morgenen. Blot rart at vide hvis man som os bestilte værelset pga tidlig […] flyafgang. Kan stærkt anbefales til en afslappende miniferie. Mehr

Et rigtigt godt hotel lidt uden for Rom. God service med shuttle til og fra Jernbanestation og lufthavn. Morgenmad er dog ikke værd at skrive om

According to the hotel information there should be both breakfast and airport transportation. Since our plane was leaving for Norway at 7 in the morning we thought this would be a good choice. But an a rather unfriendly woman at the hotel could not help us with breakfast or any thing els to eat, and we had to pay 15 EUR to get to the Airport. Wedid […] not expect a beg breakfast at this early hour, but we did expect the hotel to find us a simple meal. A friendly smile and a more serviceminded attitude would have helpt, but it looked as surfing on the nett og wathever happend on the screen was more important. Mehr

Prima hotel, met een servicegerichte dame die de receptie waarneemt. Bij aankomst blijkt dat er een bed te weinig staat op de kamer (misverstand mijnerzijds bij boeken) wat soepel wordt opgelost door een andere kamer aan te bieden. Lekker eten in het restaurant op de avond van aankomst en een voor Italiaanse begrippen prima ontbijt.

Lækkert hotel nær Rom og Ciampino lufthavn. Skøn sidste overnatning før hjemrejse pga tidlig afgang.

Et kort men meget behagelig opphold. Meget trivelig rom. Utmerket service, med henting på togstasjon og transfer til flyplass. Et bedre alternativ når en har en tidlig flight fra Ciampino kan ikke finnes.

Este hotel esta muy cerca del aeropuerto ciampino pero lejos del cwentro de Roma, pero esto no es problema ya que dispone de un shuttle que te lleva a la estacion de tren donde por 2 Eur llegas hasta la estacion Termini en el centro de roma en unos 20 minutos. El hotel esta muy bien y muy cuidado el desayuno esta rico y abundante. La mitad de las habitaciones […] son normales y la otra mitad son de dos pisos, con una mesita y el baño abajo y la cama y el armario arriba, esto si fue un poco incomodo para nosotros. El hotel cuenta con jardinesy terrazas einternet gratis pero solo en el lobby para tenerlo en el cuarto si hay que pagar. Nosotro si recomendamos ampliamente este hotel. Mehr

Min kone og jeg har overnattet på Residenza D Epoca Pietra di Ponente før, den andre gangen ble inntrykket fra første gangen forsterket. Det var som å komme hjem. Den lille staben fikk oss til å føle oss hjemme. Gratis shuttle service til Ciampino og Frascati. Fra hotellet når du Roma i løpet av en halvtime, du overnatter til en mye bedre pris enn inne […] i byen og med en bedre komfort. Stor hage, terasser og rolige omgivelser gjør at du slapper av på en helt annen måte enn inne i byen. Vi har prøvd begge deler, fint hotell midt i sentrum og rolige Ciampino. Vi kommer garantert tilbake. Mehr
