i loved most of the room - i loved the beds - my husband felt they were a bit too soft - we all hated the pillows - too mushy - but have learned to bring our own anyways - location was wonderful - staff was great - the breakfast was amazing - real - yes real scrambled eggs - nothing runny or gross - biscuits and gravy - bacon and then the usual gamit […] such as danish and cerals - oh a waffle machine with the mix as well - the ceiling in our room had some cobb webbs and when we closed the bathroom door the inside of it was dirty - otherwise the room was very clean - i had asked for the quietest room and i think we got it - never heard a sound - staff was wonderful! will absolutly stay there again but will look for specials as the price was a bit steep for me $129.00 to stay just to visit the son in bloomington - i'm gonna check out the local motel 6 next to see how that rates for when its just gonna be me visiting Mehr

This room assigned was a disability assisted room which made the mirrors and sink area difficult for use by us who are non-disabled. The continental breakfast was set up nicely but the eggs were cold and the waffle batter was very clumpy and watery and had to be replaced

Good hotel. Convenient and comfortable. Staff is helpful and kind. Breakfast is good but dinning room for breakfast is small for guests. Draining of bathtube during shower is not good but not a bid deal...Generally, this hotel is recommendable for family visit.

A very comfortable and friendly hotel, conveniently located to the IU campus (maybe a 5-minute drive). Comfortable bed. The only thing I really found odd was the bathroom door. It's one of those slider doors that doesn't *exactly* close completely. It's a small point but just a poor design. But don't let that dissuade you from this hotel.

People were nice, location is good. Walls are SO THIN. I saw many other people comment about this on foursquare reviews as well. It was just ok, and for the price you can stay at the Holiday Inn (literally next door in the same parking lot) and it's much nicer. Our first room was so dirty, carpet, bath and linens we had to change rooms. The second room was better, but the bed was made up with a blanket and bed spread that I am sure had not been washed this year. I requested a second sheet to put on top of the bed.. Staff was very nice, but rooms were not too satisfactory. Damp smell, stained carpets, tiny cube shaped pillows. Also, the fire alarm went off at 6:00 am.

Room layout okay but had several problems. The fan in the bathroom did not run and the iron went too hot/cold. Horrible pad on the ironing board. No refrigerator. Staff at front desk nice but not manager. While it claims to be pet-friendly, would not recommend it as people/mgt complaining about dogs barking in the daytime.

We arrived very late and were tired. The room was comfortable and the beds very cozy. Good breakfast the next morning and nice staff throughout our stay.

First of all, the bed in the room we had felt like a bowl. The room wasn't clean at all; there was disposable cups and dead cockroach behind the dresser. Entering the bath room, I was greeted with spider net in my face. The cost was exactly twice other hotels with much better bed and cleaner in the area. I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone.

We loved this hotel. It was convenient to the NW side of the IU campus. The beds were comfortable and staff friendly. However, we stay 2 nights and the maid service did not make the beds or even really clean. They changed the towels and emptied the trash, but did not clean the bathroom or vacuum. What gives?

This was my first time staying at Comfort Inn and upon entrance to the hotel I was satisfied with the condition of the hotel. Michael, at the front desk, checked me in and was very polite. I went to my 2 beds requested/assigned room and thought that everything seemed fine. As I went to lie down I noticed that there was some hair on the sheets. It wasn't […] mine. So I pulled back the covers on the other bed only to find crumbs and hair in it. Clearly, the sheets had not been changed from the previous occupants. So I called the front desk and spoke to Lindsey who was very apologetic and gave me a new room. I immediately pulled back the covers and both of the beds and one bed had hair in it and the other had a dead spider! So I called the front desk and spoke to Lindsey again. She again gave me another room on the third floor because this is where the senior housekeeper worked. The beds were fine. However, there was something sprayed all over the door on the closet and the desk had not been wiped down as there were water/pop rings on it. No one ever called to see how the room was or if it was satisfactory. While they did try to make things right by changing my room, I was surprised that no one followed up or that no discount was made for the inconveniences that I had. I will not stay there again. Mehr

The hotel was quiet and off of main streets but a great location to get around Bloomington. One strange thing was the sliding door to the bathroom had no handle on it so you had to push at the door. (Not appealing.)

Nice place but ultimately disappointing. The following is only the negative points, assume if I'm not bringing it up then it was fine or otherwise a non-issue. It's all about the quality of sleep. The room (twelve-o-seven) was damp, we're talking 90% humidity. There were no visible collections of water anywhere, either on the floor or the ceiling. Nothing […] was damp to the touch. The AC functioned well but did little to battle the moist air. This would have been manageable if the bedding had been a natural, breathable material like cotton. It was a poly-blend, all of it, the sheets, comforter, pillowcases, and pillows, all synthetic. Which meant I woke up after an hour or so, completely soaked with sweat because I was wrapped in plastic surrounded by damp air. I had a wonderful time in Bloomington, it's a really cool place when the 35,000 college kids aren't around, and I was completely worn out when I got back to my room. Which usually means I'll sleep like the dead. Nope. Up most of two nights in a row. Nearly spoiled the entire trip. Also, whoever was occupying room twelve-o-five this past friday and saturday, you have a serious snoring problem and should look into a remedy. Mehr

Hotel front desk personnel were extremely pleasant. Room was clean, beds were very comfortable. Complimentary hot breakfast was nice. The hotel was a five minute drive at most from Indiana University.

We had a great stay ! The rooms were very clean! The staff was very friendly! The breakfast bar was excellent! The hotel was in an excellent location, close to IU and all the local hot spots! There was plenty of parking!

Rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet with a nice decor. Staff was friendly. Queen beds and pet friendly were the deciding factors for our family choosing to stay there while in Bloomington and we were extremely pleased with our choice.

A clean, friendly hotel, with friendly, welcoming staff. Variety of items for breakfast was very good, enough to start one's day. My only suggestion is a more visible, larger sign of the hotel be created. Could not find the hotel because of its location next to another hotel that blocks seeing the Comfort Inn. Stayed here overnite with my son for a Monday campus visit at IU. Upon checking in, was unable to flush toilet in room due to a faulty chain. Contacted front desk to advise and was promptly switched to another room. Room was clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast in the A.M. was adequate.
