trotzdem war es sehr ruhig. Die Umgebung sieht auf den ersten Blick nicht sehr vertrauenswürdig aus, war aber alles OK. Parkplatz vor dem Hotel zu finden ist etwas schwierig, aber Parkhaus zu moderaten Preisen in der Nähe. Für französische Verhältnisse sehr umfangreiches und abwechslungreiches Frühstück. Altstadt von Lyon gut zu Fuß erreichbar, jedoch auch gute Anbindung zu öff. Verkehrsmitteln. Wir werden es wieder buchen.

Nur 2-Stern und kleine Zimmer, aber A) 2 minuten von Metro Station + 2 Metro Haltestellen vom alten Rathaus und Oper; B) Sehr ruhig; C) Kostenlos Wi-Fi Internet im jeden Zimmer. Sauberkeit, Personalshilfsbereichkeit, Fruhstueck - alles prima. Was fehlt: ein (selbst klein) Kleiderschrank im Zimmer Sehr empfehlenswert.

Top service, very good food at the restaurant (Brasserie du Hilton), good fitness center with panoramic view, Hamam bath and Jacuzzi. The hotel is not exactly in the city center,which could be reached by bus or taxi - or by walking (20-25 min). Anyway is perfect for a business trip, very fast connection to the highway in direction airport.

"Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Stadterkundung"
Dieses schöne, sehr zentral gelegene und komfortable Hotel war perfekt für unseren viertägigen Ferienaufenthalt. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das im Preis eingeschlossene Frühstücksbuffet war recht ausgiebig und für unsere Bedürfnisse genau richtig. "Beste Lage in Lyon"
Ich hatte glücklicherweise das grösste Zimmer vom Hotel, daher war ich entsprechend mit meinem Aufenthalt zufrieden. Die gemeinsamen Teile des Hotels (Treppenhaus) müssten jedoch renoviert werden. Das Frühstückraum ist auch viel zu klein. Das Personal an der Rezeption war auch sehr freundlich. Praktisch war auch das gratis Lunchpaket!

Das Hotel de la Paix liegt mitten in Lyon auf der Halbinsel zwischen Rhone und Soane. Somit sind die Altstadt, das hotel de ville und Siedlung der canut fussläufig erreichbar. Freundlicher, hilfsbereiter Empfang. Nachts recht ruhig (schlief mit offenem Fenster im 3. Stock an einer Seitenstrasse). Reichhaltiges, frisches Morgenessen bis 10 Uhr. "Convenient for sightseeing"
An easy walk to Place Bellecourt, or over the footbridge to Vieux Lyon. Very friendly receptionist. Thanks Isobel! Nice to have a kettle and cups in room to make a cup of tea. Very nice spacious bathroom, but bedroom was very small.

There is little or no outside noise (great), the inside noise however was very revealing about my neighbours (not so great).

The staff at this hotel was extremely friendly. i had a very large cormer room with huge windows. it is located in a great spot next to a metro and tons of good food. i would stay here again.

We loved this hotel and have vowed to return. The location was fabulous, located on the peninsula between the two rivers. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about their town. "I wanted to live there"
Grand Hotel de la Paix may not be everybodies cup of tea, especially if you need american standard ammenities, but it sure was mine. I loved the feel of the place, the incredibly nice & informative staff, the breakfast room & the breakfast, the floor to ceiling window opening out to a tiny balcony overlooking one of Lyon's most posh streets. They even […] pack you a bagged lunch which we ate in the museum garden before entering. The location made walking a breeze. Instead of using the lift, use the stairs which are very pretty & make you feel like you live there. Just be forewarned that if you are driving in, finding a parking place on the street to register & then driving to a car park is a bit difficult. I feel it's well worth that hassle. Mehr

my daughter and I stayed 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. The staff was helpful with everything and everyone spoke english! the room was clean and the view was perfect! We loved the location, restaurants a few steps from the front door. We walked to all the sights to see, and shopping! The bed, although low to the ground was comfortable and the linens […] superb. My daughter loved the large towels! I had a difficult time finding a hotel that included breakfast. It was nice to grab a hot coffee and cereal before heading out or the day! Mehr
"Central hotel in beautiful Lyon"
This hotel was well located in the centre of Lyon and well priced with the bonus inclusions of breakfast and a daily lunch of sandwiches, chips and a drink. We do however recommend requesting a room that is not on the 5th floor: our first night was spent here and as the floors are laminate we were woken many times by people open and closing doors and […] walking down the halls. We asked to be moved to another room on a different floor as they were carpeted so less noisy and the staff happily accomodated this request. We found them very kind and helpful. Mehr

This hotel is situated in the very heart of Lyon, in which many places can be accessed on foot! the hotel staffs are extremely helpful and nice! they provided all the service I want and recommended some local places of interest. The room was very large and comfortable. What is unexpected is that breakfast and lunch box provided!! There is only one point […] to make is the wifi connection. It is free but it is not stable. "Unsuitable for a business traveller"
I stayed here during a conference. The hotel is old and worn but with friendly, supportive staff. Internet didn't work at all during my 48 stay which means I have to say this is unsuitable for a business traveller.
American hotels are into multiple pillows, tall mattresses with pillowtops and other cultural differences in creature comforts. The French have a different cultural standard. Their beds are lower to the floor. Their pillows are different than ours. Their bath tubs have much higher sides and narrower overall. That said, all the hotels I booked on hotels.com […] for my first French trip exceeded my expectation on location, cleanliness, safety and comfort taking into consideration cultural differences...including this one. I am recommending hotel.com to business and social friends. I feel I got excellent value plus superior service. Thanks for a great French trip! Mehr

"Excellent Location and Great Service"
This hotel was by far the best during our recent stay in France. While only 3 star, the service eclipsed the 4 star we later stayed in by far. Everyone was helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The position was unbelievable, right in the centre of Lyon within minutes walk of everyone. Definitely going back.

This hotel is well-located within walking distance to Old Lyon, shops and restaurants. My only complaint would be the lack of air conditioning as I visited when it was 37 degrees (high 90s F). Great welcome by reception, were offered a bottled beverage as a welcome and a bagged lunch the next day. This small hotel's greatest asset is the central location, you can walk to almost all sites of interest in ten to fifteen minutes. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Perhaps Grand shouldn't be in the name, and the room decor is spare, but I thought it a good value. The welcome beverage and lunch basket were nice touches. This is in the perfect location for exploring Lyon. You can get anywhere in the city very easily on foot. The rooms are small and cramped for 2 people, but well maintained. The guys at the Front Desk were very helpful.

Passé 2 nuits à l occasion du concert des enfoires. Hotel propre et pas trop bruyant. Bon petit déjeuner Personnel très sympa et serviable. A 2 pas du vieux lyon et du métro. Boisson et lunch box offertes. Bon rapport qualité prix pour ce type d établissement.

L'hotel è in una posizione centrale e comoda, il circondario non è male. Purtroppo la struttura avrebbe bisogno di una radcale ristrutturazione. Ha un aspetto trasandato con impianti e mobilio alquanto fatiscenti. C'è da dire che è pulito. Colazione non adeguata. In generale non vale il prezzo pagato.

Arrivée à l'hôtel j'ai découvert une chambre très petite voir trop petite pour un hôtel de cette gamme en plus, la connexion Internet n'a jamais fonctionné durant les 3 jours visiblement le contrat était passé en contentieux. Il est vrai que cet hôtel est situé de façon parfaite au centre de Lyon proche de tout et le personnel est dévoué. Le petit déjeuner […] est sans plus. Carrelage mal posé/cassé dans la sdb. Peinture à refaire dans le chambre pour cacher des traces d'anciens meubles. Avec 2 ou 3 heures de travaux d'entretien j'aurais donné […] 4/5 partout.
