"günstige Lage, guter Service"
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 25. Feb. 2013Günstige Alternative im Zentrum Bangkoks. Man ist nicht dem Trubel in Silom ausgeliefert und dennoch schnell im Geschehen. Bis zur Silom rd kann man sogar laufen. Ansonsten sind es nur 5 Minuten Fußweg zur BTS Station Ratchadamri und von da aus jeweils eine Station bis Siam bzw. Silom. Ebenfalls in wenigen Minuten erreicht man den Lumpini Park. Das Hotel ist sauber, der service ist freundlich und zuverlässig. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet (u.a. safe, TV, surround- Anlage, gute nicht zu harte Matratzen). Witzig: Das Badezimmer ist vom Wohnbereich durch eine 3-fach-Schiebetür getrennt. Wenn man diese zurückzieht steht die Badewanne quasi mitten im Zimmer. Kleiner Minuspunkt: Trotz längerer Wartezeit kam nur kaltes Wasser aus der Leitung. Ich habe das allerdings auch nicht reklamiert. Von daher hatte das Hotel auch nicht die Möglichkeit, Abhilfe zu schaffen. Etwas merkwürdig ist die Prozedur für das Frühstück. Man soll bis 12:00 am Vortag angeben, wann (im 1/2- Stundentakt) man frühstücken will und was man will. Hierzu wird eine Liste ausgegeben. Diese Angaben werden aber nicht wirklich "überwacht", so dass man auch zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt kommen und andere Sachen als vorab gewählt vom Buffet nehmen kann. Im Hotel gibt es ein nicht ganz billiges aber gutes japanisches Restaurant. Man sollte für Taxifahrer auf jeden Fall einen Plan mit Angabe der Strasse bereithalten, da das Hotel nicht so bekannt ist und der Zugang etwas versteckt in einer Einfahrt liegt.

If you going to shop at Platinum is so accessible as the bridge is link to 2nd level to the mall. 15mins walk to nearest BTS station. The first thing that struck me was how old this hotel was.. Overall, I felt that the hotel is reasonably up to standard in terms of services, location and breakfast. Breakfast though is similar throughout the 3 days, but it offered a wide spread of variety and taste good (based on my standard). I checked in around 5-6pm, and thus it only took me five mins. Hotel lobby is part of the shopping mall. Massage services […] are good but slightly overpriced. I got an infant less than 2 years old, the receptionist, massage ladies offered to help me to look after my infant while me and my wife are enjoying the massage. But I didn't take the offer. Very friendly and helpful staff there, and they have made our stay in the hotel great. Hotel room size is good for the price of S$125/night. "The Best Breakfast Buffet in my travels so far"
The Suite was what i expected. Nice spacious Bathroom (Shower big enough for both of us, enough said). Big fridge, flat screen TV. Free Internet worked well. The Kitchenette was mostly for looks (no utensils but who would want to cook on vacation). The carpet had seen better days but with the spa slippers found in the "small" closet, no harm done. One […] big negative during the stay was the 3 small elevators. Since one was out of service, there was a long wait everytime we stepped outside the room to go the restaurant on the 8th floor or the little fitness room on the 9th floor (Happy to report it had small weights and functioning treadmill). The great positive surprise was the breakfast buffet. Don't miss on this opportunity to eat a wonderful exotic breakfast facing the peaceful pool area. I looked forward every morning to my fare of dim sum, sushi, ginger broth and carved ham. The breads were not that good but i was planning on skipping the carbs as much as possible. My better half liked the omelet station and the fried rice options. Hotel is well located with food court in the hotel and also next door at platinum mall.Good shopping at platinum mall with a wide variety of choice.Sizes for clothing could be a problem as they tend to be smaller than usual.But that is true everywhere in Thailand. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and responded quickly to minor room issues.Porter […] service was excellant and taxi arranged from the street to bring us to the airport. Room was cleaned everyday but the timing was different depending on their shifts.The aircon was dripping one afternoon which was quickly attended to and fixed. Due to the room shape the hotel uses several individual sets of vertical drapes as black-out curtains.They do not fully ensure privacy as there are spaces between these individual sets of drapes. Since my first trip when I was teenage, my parents would only book this hotel. Due to the friendly and help staff, if you request is reasonable they will help you until you are happy. I remember im flying back on 13th Jan, but i couldn't find any Mango sticky rice, so I went to the Concierge and told them about my flight and I have to get those mango […] back. They actually called up for Taxi drivers and Tuk Tuk to negotiate the price for me and give me suggestion for me to go there to get those mango and also arrange the Taxi drivers to wait for me and sent me to airport so that i will not miss my flight. "Great location , Great hotel"
This is my first visit to grand diamond , I love everything abt this hotel it was big comfort at there is a big lcd tv in the living room and bedroom , bed was clean nothing for me to pick on . Location wise is just beside platinum mall and pantip it mall across the bridge which lead u to pratunam market which u can get some cheaper stuff.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

"Fantastic Location, so-so room"

"Need to be near the main shopping areas"
It was acceptable - found the staff to be friendly and helpful but the hotel needs some renovation I feel, eg. providing for proper blinds in the bedroom in the suites. I also was somewhat disappointed in the breakfast buffet, compared to about 3 years ago when we were last here - there seemed to be less options. Reply of email enquiry is slow , reply of email (1/5emails) Overall stay is pleasing. Breakfast at the hotel is ok too. Variety not much but taste not bad room is good, spacious, with cooker hood and hob, but no pots pans utensils. Great hotel for the money in the heart of the Pratunam shopping district. I have stayed in this hotel many times and it feels a bit like home to me. I will continue to come again and again. The breakfast buffet is the very best I have ever eaten. It is Chinese style with plenty of "western" options, as well. The only negative I can say is that the hotel […] is getting a bit old now and needs a bit of refurbishing. This in no way should deter anyone from staying here.
