Leider hat dieses Hotel meine Erwartungen nicht erfuellt. Der Service der Hotelangestellten liess einiges zu wuenschen uebrig. Für den Preis haette ich etwas mehr Professionalitaet erwartet und kann das Hotel somit nicht weiterempfehlen. Das Zimmer war zwar sauber, aber die ein Meter entfernte Haeuserwand des Nachbarhauses und die Groesse des Zimmers […] haben mich ebenfalls sehr enttaeuscht! Mehr

The beds are very comfortable, therefore, we stayed there two weekends in a row. This is a wonderful hotel in a great location with very helpful, professional, and friendly staff.

Wonderful place to stay. The staff was excellent, helpful and curtious.

Great hotel conveniently located downtown. Nicely appointed; quaint bar and restaurant.

A Breakfast tray left outside a room, on our floor, was there for about 24 hours. We arrived, it was there, we came back from our event at 1a.m., it was still there, and then left later that morning. Guess what, same tray was still there!!!!! Doesn't anyone go around the hallways to check on this kind of stuff? Comfortable room with great ammenities. […] Bathroom a little small for two people to be in at the same time. Our view was of a delapidated buliding next door, and roof top air conditioner units. The hotel was great. Room was comfy and loved needing a room key to access the elevator. Hotel staff were extremely helpful, and awsome location,....right smack downtown.

A very nice hotel with all the amenities--including free in-room internet, complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning and wine tasting in the evening, a pocket-sized map of downtown Atlanta, and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Linens and pillows are nice, and two waffle weave bath robes hang in the closet. Elevators require a key card for added […] protection. We were hoping the Ellis would be a nice, delightful, smallish downtown boutique-type hotel with great service. Although the staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel needs cleaning and updating. Overall ok, not a disaster, but not a treat to be staying there.

something is wrong with dialing out to room service & dinning. the lines stayed busy which was an inconvenience to walk down stairs for everything.

Good service, central location, clean and modern. I will stay there agin in 3 weeks when I return to Atlanta.

It was nice.

The Ellis has to be my favorite hotel in Atlanta. We stayed there over St Patty's Day weekend and woke up Saturday morning to a parade marching up the street adjacent to the hotel! We sat on the Terrace, which is a beautiful restaurant at the Ellis, and enjoyed the morning breeze, ate breakfast, and watches the parade go by. There are many great shops […] and restaurants within one block of the hotel. The staff was extremely nice, from waiters and valet to house keepers and receptionist. We booked a room here at the last minute, just to stay somewhere close to the Tabernacle, where we had tickets for a concert. Ended up being wowed by the friendly service, modern decor and incredible comfort of the Ellis Hotel. We'll definitely be back.

It is fairly uncommon these days to find a real service oriented staff but boy did these guys know the routine. Friendly faces, cordial and informative conversations on the hotel and surrounding sights and important locations, eager to help and serve at all levels. I am in the hospitality industry and found the staff at this hotel to far exceed my expectations. The […] hotel was lovely, clean, well staffed, a great value and a true pleasure to stay in. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Atlanta for business or pleasure. Mehr

Our carpet was wet. The room was very small. The people who worked there made up for the disappointments.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ellis Hotel. I have no complaints except for one. When I checked in I was given a card for $15 off dinner. The lady who checked me in told me we could use it for either dinner or breakfast. I remember specifically thinking when she said that, it would be great for us since we are having dinner elsewhere we would be able to […] use it for breakfast. When we ordered breakfast the next morning, the lady who my husband spoke with informed him we could not use it. I told the ladies at the desk upon check out and they said I was "mis informed". And that was that. Since we spent $31 on breakfast I was pretty upset that it was as simple as me being "misinformed." Mehr

Although the room is small, it is sufficient for a 1 or maybe 2 night stay. The staff was very helpful and made the stay pleasant. I would consider another stay in the future.

Small room but well-equipped, nicely-furnished, and centrally located. Nice restaurant in hotel.

Walking distance to many locations, including the Georgia Congress Convention Center, real gourmet restaurant in the hotel, but NOTHING else

I have stayed at this hotel before and it's usually hands down a five star experience. However, this second time was lacking for two reasons: there was a constant noise that we finally determined, at the end of our stay, to be the toilet, along with street noise (we were on the 8th floor) and I called in advance to request a refrigerator in the room […] and it never showed up. Hotels.com offers an awesome "bed & breakfast" package (includes free valet and breakfast for two) for the Ritz Carlton across the street. When that deal is not available, I stay at the Ellis. Mehr

We went to Atlanta for one night just to get away. The Ellis is a great location and a nice hotel. We chose a local restaurant which was also very good, and enjoyed a show at The Fox Theatre. Both of these were within a few minutes of the Ellis. We parked in the deck behind the hotel which was fine, although a little pricey. We also had a little trouble […] with using the room key to operate the elevator. Some clearer instructions would be nice, but I appreciated the security of that system. Mehr

Everyone was very helpful and responsive to our needs except for the dining room. The head guy there was anything but nice and anything but helpful. Other than him, everyone else and everything was great!!

The place to stay -- room is good - food is good - location is unbelievable -- but more importantly, the customer service and the hotel staff are amazing! Only slight draw is the pillows are ok. This could be just my preference but not as "soft" as I would have liked. Take this for whatever its worth.

Feels a bit like a boutique hotel with very modern character. Excellent location downtown, although the side street can get a bit noisy at the lower levels. Valet parking only, but you can use self-park down the side street. I was very happy with the great servic and hotel over all yes we would stay again.

This hotel is first class, from the moment, you walk through the doors.Excellent customer service were demonstrated throughtout my stay. Nickole, at the front desk, is the BEST. The over all experience was just GREAT. Keep up the good work.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was in town for a New Years event downtown and it was really convenient. The restaurant was GREAT too. The hotel was PACKED and despite that, the staff did a GREAT job keeping up with everything. They were super friendly too.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Ellis and it is a great place with very friendly and accomodating staff and very nice rooms in a neat building and convenient location. However, it needs wifi. While they had some internet system at the time of my visit I could not understand how it worked and the front desk did not offer me much hope that […] it would actually work in my room. This was a would-have-been-nice boutique hotel. The rooms were small but nicely decored. The staff was helpful and friendly. HOWEVER, at night you want to actually SLEEP in your hotel room. This is IMPOSSIBLE at this hotel because it is located in an area downtown that backs up to an ALLEY where they come and get the trash from various buildings beginning […] at 3:30am!!!!! DO NOT stay at this hotel if you want to relax. You will NOT bbe able to rest. We will go back to our "oldie but goodie" hotel choices the next time we are there. Mehr

Had a wonderful stay, room was a little small, but very nice. The management and staff very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Ellis and I will stay at the Ellis again in the future. Thanks again Ellis staff for a great week and New Year!

The hotel staff was outstanding. They provided outstanding services and were always pleasant and helpful. Also, the hotel was very comfortable and the restaurant food and services were excellent.

The room I booked for was a bit small, but with a large bed for a friend, child and I. They called the room to see how we liked our room. We told them it small, but cozy and they offered to move us to a double bed room free of charge which was much bigger and with a beautiful view of the city. I will be staying there again!!

In short I was very please with the hotel. There was great customer service and I felt right at home. The only thing I did not like is that my view was of a brick wall. Other than that I would give them an A.
