Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort - Hancock

...sehr geräumige und saubere Zimmer. Das Hotel liegt allerdings ein wenig außerhalb der nächsten Stadt. Für den Kurzaufenthalt aber zu empfehlen.

Zunächst einmal waren wir über die 2,5 Sterne für das Resort sehr verwundert, denn unsere Lodge war neu renoviert, modern eingerichtet und in gutem Zustand. In Europa würde man für diese Ferienwohnung wohl 4 Sterne vergeben. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in unserer Lodge, aber auch im Resort. We froze! the heater did not work, we went to turn the heat up the controller fell off the wall. We mentioned this to the girl at the desk at checkout and she said " o , sorry".

Very nice place especially for groups. Only complaint my bed was too soft, but other then that, nice place. Has everything you need if you want to cook, or grill. Nice fire place in room

Very good, food excellent, great location. Highly recommend staying there for business or vacation. Staff friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed a short stay here with our 11yr old as we were on our way to Berkshires for camping. The park rides are mostly kid rides, but a few good ones for older kids. We took a long hike up the ski trail which was fun. Pool was clean and warm. Food at tavern was surprisingly good (as were martinis!). The resport may be well located for skiing, but is far from any of the summer offerings of the Birkeshires. The resort looked as though it had not been updated since 1980. The blanket on the bed seemed pulled from a summer camp truck circa 1972; the room felt worn and bleek. When we asked if we could move our check out from 10:30 am to 11 am, the response […] was a rude "no" -- even though the resport was empty on Monday morning. To tell the truth, I did not expect how wonderfull this hotel was.Our family thought we can only spend our time relaxing in the pool and jacuzzi.However,surprisingly there were much more fun!!The adventure park was in the backyard of the hotel.Of course the clealiness of the whole facilities of the hotel and the room which we stayed was very cozy made […] us feeling like staying at home. The potential for a great resort is there. The suites are big enough and the surroundings are beautiful. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of our suite. The vent in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in what appears to be a long time. There was hair on the bathroom floor and the sofa needed some cleaning as well. The hallway carpet of the hotel […] looks like it was installed 7 years ago and has only been vacuumed (not shampooed). The tile in the bathroom looks new, and it wouldn't take much effort on their part for an overall better feeling. The check-in at 4 seemed very late when you consider the check-out is @10:30. They wouldn't allow for a late check out even on a Monday morning that seemed slow. So, if the accommodations were sparkling and the check out was more reasonable, we would want to come back here. For a small ski mountain, they have a ton to do (off season) and are a great place to take your adventurous family!

Clean and comfortable w/ efficiency kitchen. Kids over four feet will love the aerial rides. Smaller kids can swim and run around. Very family-friendly! Great for skiers, lifts right outside the doors. Taking family back in fall.

this condo was beautiful..felt just like home,,staff were wonderfuol..went to saratoga springs for opening race day..hike everal miles of the appalacian trail..mounains are beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed a great overnight stay at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort. Our one-bedroom condo suite was clean and spacious, and the fully applianced kitchenette included everything -- pots, pans, wine glasses -- even a small automatic dishwasher! We enjoyed our visit, and we would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in main building in a 1 brdrm suite. Very comfortable with private bedroom with king bed- queen pullout sofa in liv rm area and well equipped kitchen for a vacation spot. Bath had two entry doors making bath accessible from bdrm and liv area. Wonderful hospitality and service for whatever we needed. The pool, common areas and activities - […] especially the mountain adventure options - made for a great family resort. We stayed just one night to attend concert at Tanglewood not knowing how great Jiminy Peak resort would be - will definitely stay longer next time! Mehr

We spend a lot of time in Williamstown, which doesn't have a lot of good hotel options. Jiminy Peak is a bit of a drive - 15 to 20 minutes, but well worth it. The separate bedroom and living room make it easy to put small children to bed and then sit in the living room. The kitchen was convenient for bringing in meals rather than trying to take little […] kids to restaurants. We'll definitely be staying at Jiminy Peak for future trips. Mehr

great skiing and great facility. Bring your bathing suit.

JIminy Peak was great. Definitely a great place to stay to get away from everything. But the resteraunts and other things to were fine, so there was no real need to go anywhere else. I am going back!

We had a queen guest suite, which was spacious and well-appointed; very comfortable bed at quiet end of the building. Convenient to have restaurant on the top floor, with good and reasonable fare. We absolutely loved our summer stay at this charming mountain resort, and the price was excellent--soooo worth it. Our roomy one-bedroom suite was so cozy and comfortable that my husband joked, "Maybe we should ask if we can just move in here!" We loved having 2 TVs, a bedroom that closed off completely from the living room, a fully equipped kitchen, […] and a bathroom and a half. The accommodations are slightly rustic (think comfy and cozy, not glitzy) but very comfortable and pleasing. The staff was just excellent. We enjoyed the restaurant on the 3rd floor--delicious nightly specials at an excellent price. The lobby was a comfortable and inviting place to lounge. We enjoyed the swimming pool. Although not large, it is big enough for a nice swim. The pool and the indoor and outdoor hot tubs were great places to meet people. Many families had kids aged 9 to 18 with them, and it was a great place for these kids. They could go off to the activities on their own yet still be close by their parents/grandparents. My husband tried some of the adventure park attractions, which he found quite exciting. We would have taken hikes up the mountain if I hadn't had an injured knee (the hot tub was great therapy). We were enchanted by the surrounding mountains and exhilarated by the fresh air--especially the cool breezes blowing gently through our room at night. The resort is quiet and tucked into the mountains, yet just a short drive from picturesque towns with lots to do and see and good places to eat. We stayed 3 nights and took day trips to the surrounding towns each day, but we still had plenty of time to enjoy the delights of the resort. This place suited us perfectly, and it was hard to leave. Overall, it was a good stay. As expected, it was more ideal for family with kids. The hallways outside was noisy with running around kids sometimes but it was quiet during the night.

Great location for family fun in the Berkshires! The units are owner furnished. Unit 13 was a nicely sized 2 bedroom with the convenience of a full kitchen. Beds and seating were not too comfortable but we spent little time inside. The unit was clean. Check-out was early, 10:30 with no exceptions but we were able to use the pool all day. Each complex […] has its own pool so it was not too crowded. Steps away from the Jiminy Peak Adventure Park was terrific for the kids of all ages. Mehr

We were in what it seemed to us an old area of the complex. First floor no elevator, not very well conserved in general. Bad wireless fonctionning. The room was big and confortable and the complex offers a lot of fun for children, an store and others services.

Excellent location. Rooms were very fresh and roomy. Finding the reception desk was a little diificult. All in all this is a great place to stay and the cost was resonable.

I imagine that this property is great in the winter. However, stay away in the summer. The hotel hallways smelled of mildew. The air conditioning units in the room barely worked. The bathrooms look like they were renovated 30 years ago. To top it off, we asked for a crib for our 30 month old and were brought something that may have been fit for a doll. While the rooms are quite dated, the room we stayed in was 500 sq feet: basically a little efficiency apartment. There was a decent sized sitting room with a queen sized pull out couch that had a nice mattress. The bedroom had a king sized bed, good sized closet and a big bureau/mirror. The kitchenette was great; the linen closet had all sorts of cookware, […] an iron/small ironing board, and the cabinets were full of dishes/glasses/utensils. There was even a toaster oven AND a pop-up toaster! The new attractions (mountain coaster, etc) were wonderful, and all in all, it was a wonderful experience. Mehr

If you enjoy the summer activities at Jiminy Peak such as the Mountain Coaster and Alpine Slide (they also now have an aerial park for the more adventurous) then this is the best place as you can walk out your door to the pool and be on line in 2 minutes. The suites were comfortable with adequate amenities. The pool is small but the views and convenience […] of being so close to the 'action' make this a place I would recommend. Mehr

This place is an older, worn, ski resort. The first room I was given was dirty--hair on the floor, crumbs on the counter, and the second one wasn't outfitted with toilet paper or tissues. The couches in both rooms were so old they should be thrown out and were covered in hair. The staff seemed more into talking with each other and just hanging out then […] customer service and being friendly and helpful. The hot tubs and jacuzzi are over-run by lots of little kids so don't go expecting to use any of those. Be forewarned that AT&T has no cell service here and you will need a car to go anywhere. You are really paying for the location-- the hotel itself feels a bit more like a motel. Mehr

If you are looking for a ski lodge, I suppose it is as good as any other in the area. But, if you are looking for a a summer retreat in the Berkshires, Vacation Village just down the road is a much better bet.

The living areas, bathrooms, etc were very nicely decorated and well suited to an extended visit. Master bedroom was comfortable and included tv. Second bedroom was nice but the mattresses were horrible/ like sleeping on a board. It didn't matter much for the kids but an adult would not have been comfortable. That said, I would recommend this hotel […] to others, and we will be back! Mehr

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The 1 bedroom suite was spacious and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff at the restaurant was the best I've experienced in a really long time. They seemed to genuinely care that we were satisfied. We will definately be back!
