Ramada Hotel Nottingham - Nottingham

Ich war in diesem Hotel, da ich zu einer Konferenz an der Trent University musste. Dementsprechend war die Lage für mich optimal. Die Gegend hat mir aber auch abgesehen davon sehr gut gefallen. Es gibt viele Restaurants und bis zur Innenstadt ist es nicht weit. Alles Wichtige ist zu Fuß problemlos erreichbar. Der grösste Vorteil des Hotels ist die zentrumsnähe, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten und Shops liegen in max. 10 Minuten Erreichbarkeit. Auch eine Tram-Station ist unmittelbar beim Hotel. Das Hotel ist zweckmässig eingerichtet und entspricht einem guten Dreistern-Hotel. Die Teppiche in unserem Zimmer könnten mal getauscht werden, diese sehen ziemlich abgenutzt […] aus. Aber das Zimmer war gesamthaft gesehen sehr sauber und OK. Im 6. Stock war der Lärm von der Straße auszuhalten, könnte mir vorstellen, dass das bei Stockwerken weiter unten etwas unangenehm sein könnte. Bei Abreise wurde über die Rezeption ein Taxi bestellt, welches aber nicht gekommen ist. Bei Nachfragen was los sei, wurde ich nicht wirklich freundlich behandelt. Das lag aber nur an der einen Mitarbeiterin, als dann ein anderer Mitarbeiter sich der Sache angenommen hatte, war es kein Problem rasch zu einem Taxi zu kommen und ich wurde auch wieder freundlich behandelt. Ich würde das Hotel für Kurzaufenthalte mit sehr günstigem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis jedenfalls empfehlen. Mehr

Das beste am Hotel ist definitiv die Lage. Es liegt mitten im Zentrum undiIn unmittelbarer Nähe (Gehweg von 2-5 Minuten) liegt eine Fussgängerzone mit vielen Restaurants und Bars etc. Die Zimmer waren sehr schlicht (Bett, Schrank, Stühle) aber sauber. Im Zimmer gab es auch einen Fernseher und Internetanschluss (kein Wifi, deshalb Kabel mitnehmen - man […] kann aber auch eines an der Rezeption kaufen). Da unser Zimmer gegen die Strasse war (3. Stock), war es in der Nacht manchmal etwas laut. Man konnte aber trotzdem gut schlafen. Die Rezeption war sehr freundlich und sehr unkompliziert, ich habe glaube ich noch nie so schnell ein- und ausgecheckt. Das ging beide Male höchstens 1 Minute. Mehr

Great price, great location, clean & nice room with a huge bed!

Had a comfortable stay and was impressed by friendly reception staff (especially woman who had graduated from Coventry university-enjoyed that personal touch!). Great breakfast and impressed that friendly breakfast staff went out of their way to help, making my daughter a mint tea as she felt unwell. The hotel is in a great lcation near to all universities […] and staff kindly pointed out nearest bus stops etc. Great stay thanks to staff-highly recommended and would definitely stay here again. I stayed twice in one week (two different rooms). The first night, the room was fair but not very well maintained or clean... one of the previous occupants false eyelashes was left in the bath! The bed was lumpy! By the end of the week, the hotel had changed it's name to the Ramada, the new room had been recently been refurbished and was clean. Breakfast […] was a reasonable self-service affair. Parking was still quite expensive despite a 'reduced rate' at the Talbot Street multi-storey. Mehr

Great value for money for city centre hotel, close to lots of restarants and entertainment. Room of a high standard and very comfortable.

The hotel has NO wireless internet in the rooms? I didn't think that was at all possible in 2012!

The hotel is in an awkward position but with a short walk in the middle of things. The room was clean but the lights didn't work and made reading in bed a no-no. However, the staff were friendly and we couldn't complain about the overall stay.

We booked this hotel to attend an event in Nottingham and found it excellent value for the price. The room was large, clean and the bed was super king size. The bathroom was a decent size and the shower was good. Whilst basis in layout it had everything you needed for an overnight stay. People on the front desk were helpful and its location to the Nottingham […] centre is excellent. Mehr

I was pleasingly surprised to see the high quality of our room for the price we paid. Everything was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and staff were polite. I was going to a concert at Rock City and found the hotel to be very convenient.

this is our 4th stay in days hotel and have always been satisfied with everything,it is situated in a good place 4 the town centre

Hotel was just what we neded for a visit to the city, to say it was close to the town centre would be an understatemaent, it was bang in the middle 5-10 mins walk from everything...just the job .

My main criteria were cost and loaction as I wanted to be in the centre of Nottingham, rate was great location was perfect. Hotel was clean and moderately well maintained. Room was quiet and facilities were good. Great value.

Close to centre - great base for shopping or a night out

I wasn't sure what to expect from a city centre hotel, especially at such a decent price, but we were very impressed. Having read previous reviews compared to other hotels in the same bracket, there was nothing that could be faulted at this hotel. It is in a great location for shops, restaurants & bars, and was within walking distance of the arena, […] which we were visiting to watch a gig. The hotel was clean, tidy, and had everything needed to enjoy the stay. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay again. Mehr

I booked Days Hotel for a very (within hours) last minute trip to Nottingham to attend a gig at Rock City. The location is perfect for city centre activities. Rock City is 1 minute away and there is a decent pub next door. Check in on arrival was quick, seamless and provided with a smile. I was on the second floor, and my room was quiet and easily […] accessed by both lift and stairs (I used the healthy option!). The room was huge and very well-appointed. Sometimes, it's the little things that make a difference, such as full-length mirror, a box of tissues, chairs, decent lighting, plenty of shelf space in the bathroom and the room itself for all of your bits and good shower pressure. This had all of that and more. When I got back very late after the show, there were two blokes working on reception, which I thought a nice touch for security's sake at night. I used the TV for radio only while getting ready to go out and in the morning, and the choice and reception was great. I hadn't paid for breakfast, so opted for their 'breakfast in a bag' which was essentially anything from the breakfast buffet wrapped up to take to your room or out - perfect. I am a vegetarian and there was more than enough to fill me up. Check out was again quick and easy; I left my bag at reception to wander the town for a few hours and retrieving it later was fast and friendly, and I was sent off with a smile. There was one downside, which was the bed: mine was not at all comfortable. I could feel the springs coming through and it very lumpy. I got very little sleep but was in a twin room so probably should have tried the other bed. As everything else was so good, I will let them know about the mattress, as perhaps it's just time for a replacement. I have painfully high standards about cleanliness and comfort (in fact, I am rarely so positive about a place, so that says a lot!), and must say that the mattress situation would not dissuade me coming here again or recommending it to others. The room we were in didn't seem very new it had some cracks in the wall and paint pealing but it was clean and comfortable and a decent size.The breakfast area was bright and modern and they had everything you could want, the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an ideal location only minutes walk from the main shopping area and easy access […] to transport. There are some pubs around so at night you could hear some noise at night but nothing you couldn't sleep through. For the price and location I'd definitely stay again. Mehr

My room was big enough and with all facilities even iron. The bathroom is old-fashioned but OK. The breakfast is very OK. The staff people are very kind, friendly and helpful. Good hotel and good price.

Great hotel, I've put international visitors there many times; good value, great location, nice staff, will use many times again in future.

Was given a double room even though my reservation confirmation clearly stated a twin. The bathroom floor had not been cleaned.

Right by the Royal Theater and lots of dining choices. Internet was reliable, the windows open, easy walk to Nottingham Castle, the main bus station, and other likely tourist/business needs. Liked this place better than Best Western Westminster where I stayed last time.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, staff were polite and friendly, pretty room everything worked. Quite a bargain price wise. Wonderful central location. Will be returning.

Very comfortable,clean & friendly would reccommend to others as it is very close to city centre

The room was clean and nice. The staff was friendly and the location central. We enjoyed our stay there.

Location is very close to bars/restaurants/shops and a tram stop. The hotel entrance was pleasant and clean. Check-in was quick but all guests must sign a sheet and provide their addresses. The room was very large, bathroom and room were both spotless but the interiors could do with updating. Other reviews have mentioned the shortage of towels, but […] after asking at reception for more it turned out the extras are hidden away in a drawer for some reason! Only complaint would be that a double room turned out to be two single beds pushed together, both of which were quite old and lumpy! However, it was still great value overall for the price paid. I didn't eat there or visit the bar so cannot comment on that aspect. Mehr

Having stayed at a wide variety of hotels from 5 stars down to the grottiest b and bs, I would say that the Days Inn in Nottingham was the best value for money of any hotel I’ve experienced. The hotel seems to be extremely well managed. My room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV remote worked and I appreciated the ironing […] board in the room. All the staff are very efficient, friendly, cheerful and helpful. Check in was very efficient. The ‘Conservatory’ restaurant is somewhat similar to a restaurant on a cross channel ferry, however I enjoyed my very well cooked, simple and inexpensive dinner, and service was friendly and quick. The breakfast buffet was very ample and comprehensive and the staff at breakfast quite remarkably helpful and cheery. The only let down was the location, in a quite run down area of Nottingham, but the Theatre Royale is just around the corner, so perhaps things are better nearer to that. The heating was also a bit noisy. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel or to recommend it for a value for money stopover. Mehr

Cheap and central. All the basics are provided for - but in a minimal way. The beds are not as sturdy as you'd expect, but they're okay. It took two phone calls and two visits by staff to get the TV working - but it was sorted. They provide what you need, but NO flourishes.

I was a little concerned with the being a city centre hotel and the cost of the room but I need not have worried. This is a good value good city centre location hotel. The room was a good size, good size bathroom (with bath) although the bed was very uncomfortable

Great location for bars restaurants and shopping. Great value for money and pre pay for your breakfast as this will save you five pounds per couple.Tasty breakfast with good choice of hot and cold food and drinks with good service.
