Hotel OTTO - Berlin

Steige beim nächsten Berlin Besuch wieder bei "Otto"ab. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr sauberes Hotel mit sehr gutem Service in zentraler Lage zu U- und S-Bahn, dazu ein hervorragendes Frühstück, absolut zu empfehlen!

wir waren zu dritt im Komfortzimmer für eine Woche. Frühstück sehr vielfältig und gut, genial ist nachmittags die Möglichkeit, in der 7. Etage sicj kostenlosbei Kaffee/Tee, Saft und Mineralwasser sowie Kuchen , belegte Brötchen und Obst zubedienen und dabei ein Buch zu lesen oder auf der kleinen Terasse den Blick über Berlin zu genießen. Ideale Lage, […] wirklich auch für Gehfaule nicht weit zu Bus , S-Banh und U- Bahn, dabei kann man auch nachts das Fenster auflassen, da nicht an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße gelegen. Diverse Restaurants in der Umgebung. Gut ist, dass man auch die Welcome-Card im Hotel bekommt, so dass das Auo im Hof geparkt bleiben kann (10,00€/Nacht). Bei großer Hitze könnte es Probleme mit der Zimmertemperatur geben, da es nur einen Ventilator, aber keine Klimaanlage gibt. Zu beachten bleibt, dass der sehr langsame Lift nur zwischen den Etagen hält und man morgens 3 Absätze hoch muss in die 7. Etage fürs Frühstück. . Mehr

Das Frühstück und der ab 14:00 zur Verfügung stehende Snackbereich in der Lounge waren einfach Klasse ... nur der Aufzug und seine Geschwindigkeit sowie der Halt zwischen den Stockwerken, das ist nichts für gehbehinderte Personen - leider ... für alle anderen Dinge gilt: Ein wirklich Klasse Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal in ruhiger […] aber dennoch zentraler Lage !!! Nachdem ich in den vergangenen Jahren bestimmt 20 verschiedene Hotels in Berlin erfahren habe, bin ich zufällig auf das Hotel Otto gestoßen. Nicht sehr groß, aber mit enormer Freundlichkeit durch das Personal geführt. 3 Zimmerkategorien(habe mir alle angesehen) und alle mit Topausstattung. Badeutensilien, Fön, Zimmersafe - alles vorhanden. Im Studio […] sogar mit vollausgestatteter(Mikrowelle,Kühlschrank,Geschirr) Küche. Frühstücksbüffett bis 12 Uhr! Ab 14 Uhr kostenloses Kuchen/Snackbuffett mit Softdrinks, Kaffee, Tee usw. Falls man krampfhaft nach Minuspunkten sucht, dann ist der langsame Aufzug zu nennen, der nur zwischen den Stockwerken hält (Problem bei schwerem Gepäck) und der -für Berlin- relativ große Abstand zu öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln(ca.300-400m). Der Kurfürstendamm und der Bahnhof Zoo sind ca.500m entfernt. Alles in allem ist das Hotel (gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis)sehr zu empfehlen. Mehr

Gutes Hotel in sehr guter Lage.

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und das Frühstücksbuffet ein Genuss! Kinder sind auch sehr Willkommen. Sehr gut mit der U- oder SBanh erreichbar und an einer ruhigen Strase gelegen. Sehr empfelenswert!!

das Hotel per se ist SUPER: schönes Zimmer, gute Betten & Matratzen, sehr nettes Personal, hervorragendes Frühstück (wirklich 1A!!!). Einziger Nachteil: bei der Renovation wurden die Fenster nicht erneuert - das heisst, die Strasse und den Verkehr dort erlebt man 'live' mit, insbesondere wenn morgens der Müll geholt wird... das nächste Mal lassen wir […] uns ein Zimmer nach hinten zum Parkplatz geben. Ein sehr praktisches und sympathisches Hotel. In der Strasse einige Restaurants. Mit dem ÖV sehr einfach zu erreichen. Gehe gerne wieder Mal.

Das Hotel Otto ist in jeder Beziehung zu empfehlen!

Mein Zimmer im Hotel Otto war trotz der zentralen Lage sehr ruhig und komfortable. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und frisch und die Angestellten ausnahmslos freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einziger Negativpunkt war der Zimmerservice, ausser dem Bett wurde nichts gemacht oder aufgeräumt.

Frueshtuck war super, sehr freundliche Staff. Zaubere Zimmer und viel platz. In allgemein kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, sehr freundliche, gute Lage (zur Bushaltestelle zum Flughafen 5 Min), moderne Einrichtung

Hotel in ehemaligem Wohnhaus ca. 60er Jahre, erster Eindruck entsprechend etwas ernüchternd. Aber Zimmerqualität, Lage und das tolle Frühstück mit Blick auf Ku'damm machen diesen Eindruck wett. Sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll auch im Detail. Ein kleines Manko: Es fehlt eine Bar und die Auswahl an Getränken im "Ottomat" ist ziemlich beschränkt. Das Hotel ist optimal gelegen, im Designstil schön und zweckmässig eingerichtet, die Dienstleistungen sind überdurchschnittlich, die Angestellten am Empfang freundlich, hilfsbereit und kompetent. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Nach einem intensiven Sightseeingtag kehrten wir immer gerne wieder ins Hotel Otto zurück, wo im 7. Stock […] Tee, Kaffee, Mineralwasser, Fruchtsäfte, Kuchen, Früchte, Zeitungen und Zeitschriften gratis zur Verfügung standen. Das Hotel Otto bietet für einen vernünftigen Preis vieles, wofür man anderswo zusätzlich zur Kasse gebeten wird. Frühstücksbuffet ist fantastisch.

Das Hotel liegt verkehrsgünstig, kurze Wege zur U-Bahn am Ernst-Reuter-Platz und zu den Bussen in der Hardenberg- und Kantstrasse ermöglichen Touren in alle Richtungen, so dass man schnell in Mitte ist. In der Umgebung sind viele Läden, Cafés und Restaurants für jeden Geschmack und Geldbeutel. Des Nachts ist die Strasse ruhig und man kann einem Stadtfuchs […] auf der Pirsch begegnen. Das Frühstück im 7. Stock mit Blick auf die Dächer von Berlin in einem sehr angenehmen Ambiente ist nicht ganz billig, lässt aber keine Wünsche offen. Im Sommer kann man auf einer Terrasse sitzen. Für behinderte Personen würde ich jedoch das Hotel nicht empfehlen, da der Aufzug zwischen den Etagen hält und in der 6. Etage endet, so dass zum Frühstücksraum eine Treppe zu steigen ist. Besonders erwähnenswert ist, dass am Nachmittag ab 14 Uhr bis zum Abend im Frühstücksraum Kaffee, Tee, Säfte, sowie Kuchen und Obst kostenlos bereitstehen. Zeitungen und Mineralwasser erhält man ebenfalls kostenfrei. Dies ist sehr angenehm, wenn man sich nach einer Besichtigungstour am Spätnachmittag erholen möchte, um für eine Abendveranstaltung wieder fit zu sein. Vom Hotel kann man die Staatsoper im Schillertheater und die Deutsche Oper in der Bismarckstrasse schnell erreichen, ein kurzer Weg ist es zum Renaissance-Theater, das Theater des Westens und der Kurfürstendamm sind auch nicht weit. Das Business Comfort Zimmer ist ziemlich gross mit einem separaten Ankleidezimmer, es könnten dort jedoch mehr Bügel für die Kleidung vorhanden sein und mehr Ablagemöglichkeiten. Für Laptop, Handy usw. gibt es viele Steckdosen, auf der grossen Couch kann man gut relaxen und lesen oder fernsehen, allerdings wäre ein etwas grösserer Tisch empfehlenwert. Der Internet-Empfang über das kostenlose Wireless-Lan ist gut. Schön wäre im Sommer ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer. The hotel suited me exactly. The rooms were large and comfortable and the hotel is in a quiet ,tree lined street. It is in easy reach of three stations, including one going direct to the airport and it is in a neighbourhood with many small and pleasant restaurants. I do not like large glitzy hotels and this suited us perfectly. I would go back there […] any time. I can't finish without mentioning the helpfulness of the reception staff at all times. Mehr

Spacious rooms, stylish decor, great location, but their idea of a double bed is two twins pushed together, each with their own single duvet. I requested a double bed and was told (after I arrived) that their are no double beds in the hotel. Not great for a comfortable, friendly night's sleep.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel, which is in the western side of Berlin in a nice quiet neighborhood. It was very nice and comfortable but after staying a 4th night at the Novotel in eastern Berling, which is closer to downtown berlin, at a lower rate, I feel this hotel it a little over priced.

Hotel Otto is a spotless establishment. I placed a reservation for a single room, but was upgraded to a double one. As I arrived early in the morning, several hours before official check-in time and my room wasn't ready yet, I was offered a free breakfast - which was very nice. As most of the attractions the city has to offer are located in the east, you will find yourself spending some time on Berlin's excellent public transport system, which isn't too bad since there is a U-Bahn station just 1 min. away, and an S-Bahn station 5 mins. away. Also, the X9 bus from the airport, stops just by the U-Bahn station, which is, as mentioned, 1 minute away from the hotel. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. Mehr

We are delighted that we chose to stay at the Hotel Otto. We felt that its location in a chic and safe area of Berlin with lovely shops and restaurants nearby, and very convenient to both the sBahn and the uBahn, was ideal. And we loved almost everything about the hotel, including the fine standard of design. We particularly liked the afternoon and […] early evening access to complimentary refreshments with a view over the city from the outside balcony. The staff was also excellent. The only thing we did not like was being in room three, as it faces directly into a wall surrounding an exterior staircase only a few feet from the window. Stuff is so nice. Restaurants near by. Very close to Metro Station. Large rooms with extra sofa.

This is a small hotel in a quiet neighborhood filled with a wonderful array of interesting restaurants. The hoteliers are extremely attentive, and provide service far above any common standards. Our room (601) was spacious and included a small but absolutely complete kitchen and dining area. Our rate included breakfast, and even without the breakfast […] plan everybody is entitled to afternoon snacks and unlimited bottled water. The Hotel Otto is a member of Slow Food, and they serve extremely interesting breakfast and afternoon snacks. They do not attempt to economize: the food is truly excellent, and it generally includes smoked fish of various kinds, a variety of fresh fruits, delicious pastries, quiches and other delicacies, in addition to more conventional breakfast options. Berlin is a big city and the hotel is centrally located, but it is not adjacent to many tourist sites. Realistically, for example, it's about half an hour from Alexanderplatz (or possibly a bit less if you walk to the Zoo station and avoid a change of trains.) We would definitely like to return. Mehr

Quiet location away from centre but convenient for both U-Bahn and S-Bahn which provide an excellent service. Huge choice of restaurants in surrounding streets. Tried the Aida and the Greek just down the road and would recommend both. Good selection of foods available if you opt to take breakfast at the hotel. The rooms seem very warm and there is no […] aircon - only a fan provided. This may be an issue for some but is my only negative comment. If you plan to go to The Reichstag, you now need to book this in advance with at least 3 days notice (you can book online). We read only positive comments about Otto Hotel and were ready to be disappointed. We weren't. We arrived at 11 p.m. but checkin was flawless. The staff without fail was helpful and friendly at all times. The room was large and comfortable. There should have been another chair in the room, but we neglected to ask for it and there weren't enough hangers, […] also easily remedied. The bed was just right and the street was quiet. The hotel is located in Charlottenburg, an upscale area with lots of restaurants nearby. We'll gladly stay at the hotel again and will recommend it to our friends. It's a real 'find'. Mehr

I stayed here for 3 days. I had a comfort room and it was very spacious, with a sofa and walk in wardrobe, lot's of light and a very comfortable bed. I tried to change rooms at first, worried about noise from the street, but it turned out the street was very quiet, so no issues there. What made my stay so good was the impeccable quality of the service, […] the staff were amazing, willing to help in any way they could and incredibly polite and friendly. The location and facilities of Hotel Otto were superb. There was a free breakfast offer publicised by the hotel via Trip Advisor, and this is well worth taking advantage of - the breakfast was amazing! Even without the offer, the free coffee. tea and cakes available all day in the lounge (which is on the top floor with a lovely balcony) set this hotel […] apart from the rest. It made for a great place to take a pause in our day. The location is superb too - only a very short walk from convenient U-bahn, S-bahn and bus stations. (It's 15-20 door-to-door from Tegel airport via the X9 bus). Lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and shops are also just outside making it a top choice for a short break in Berlin. Highly recommended. We came to Berlin for watching two operas by Deutsche Oper and had stayed in Hotel Otto for three nights. We had enjoyed the rooftop afternnoon tea, desert and view so much. Too bad! we could not get up early enough to have any breakfast due to attending long performances at night. The hotel is very clean, modern, cozy and staff is very helpful. If […] you have many luggages, please ask for help because there are few stairs you have to climb though it has a lift. We definitely will go back again! Mehr

I was very impressed with this place. The room had two single beds as requested, we also had a small kitchen (fridge, microwave, silverware, sink, coffeee machine, etc...), They also had a sitting area where someone could sleep. All the furniture was new and looked trendy. The room was super clean. We were greeted my Maxi on arrival, very friendly and […] helpful. She even helped us to the room and told us about the FREE water bottle service!! I have travelled all over Europe and I have to say this is the best value I have ever received. Everything was perfect, public transportation was minutes away, and your located near the Zoo which has express train near it too. Tons of restaurants and place to eat. Bakeries up and down the street. 100% recommend it and already thinking about headin back to Berlin, in which case will stay here! Mehr

The hotel was simple, clean and the staff were helpful. The usual things you expect from a hotel were not there however; bar, restaurant and room service which was a bit disappointing.

We were so impressed with this hotel - from the friendly helpful staff at check-in, through to the quality of the room and the fantastic breakfast. The hotel is located in a great area with good transport links and lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We stayed in a studio and we were so impressed with the size of the room, the amenities, the furnishings, […] and the general comfort and style of the room. The hotel provided a great breakfast as well as coffee and cake throughout the afternoon and evening. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended to several people. Great hotel! What made this place such a winner for me is that the staff was so friendly and helpful. For the price, its totally nice, even though the internet service is a bit wonky . Clean. comfortable, and well located. No doubt I would stay here again. Everything you need a hotel to be, even though its not luxury (although still very nice).

Spent two nights at the Hotel Otto and the place was perfect. Quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants and bakeries nearby. Short walk to U and S bahns. Having arrived very early, we were immediately invited to have (complementary) breakfast while our room was being readied. Impressive breakfast every day, included in price, served in rooftop dining room with balcony. Excellent and friendly reception staff with good restaurant recommendations for dinner (none in the hotel itself). Although at the back […] and with unimpressive view, our room was huge, modern and comfortable. This is a small hotel with very limited facilities and a small lift. Location in West Berlin within walking distance of shops, Zoo station for airport express and other stations, including underground. It's a shame I wanted to like this hotel. Our room was ground floor overlooking the street. This asn't a huge problem as it was a relatively quiet area. The room was completely characterless. Like a square dorm room. No pictures on the while wall and grey carpet added no cheer to the place. The bed looked comfortable but to be honest I had the worst […] 3 nights sleep I had had in years. The pillows were way too soft and offered no support, the room was baking hot with no way to turn it down. The hot nakes pipes running up the wall in the bathroom overheated the room beyond endurance or rather to the point where I couldn't cool down enough to sleet. Breakfast was very nice in the lounge on the 7th floor. Nice enough views, a nice space and free wifi. Ultimately however, relatively, inexpensive the room or good the breakfast the heat and the bed / pillow comfort made this hotel a fail for me. Mehr

I really liked the hotel - it is modern but comfy. I had a huge nice room and the breakfast (was not included in booking) was also great. Staff was helpful and nice. As a minus: I wish the room would have had a fridge.

Great little hotel and the staff was very very helpful. Everything was within walking distance...there are lot's of cute restaurants about two blocks away.

My main complaint was that they put me in a room on the ground floor that had a big pillar in front of the window (Room 3). Even on a sunny day there was little light in the room. I would consider returning but being sure to be on a higher floor.

Dejligt hotel, kan klart anbefales, og sørg endelig for at prøve deres morgen-buffet! Vi kommer helt sikkert igen.
