I liked the location . The room was nice with a beautiful view . The amenities in the room were sparse e.g. very few toiletries,and no bottled water . However, the breakfast setting wa snice , the courtyard offered a relaxed atmosphere and the wine service in th elobby was good and prices were reasonable.

Great hotel. The perfect place to forget about work and relax and enjoy Tuscany. Very romantic as well, ideal for couples. The location is very good, you can walk around Sienna and it's an ideal base to explore Tuscany by car. Incredible value for money.

Loved the hotel & location. However, this booking was made 8 weeks prior to us going. We were attracted to the hotel by the pictures of the rooms on the internet. Everything we wanted in such a romantic setting.Booking was for a loft room. Loft rooms not available due to renovating. Given a superior room. Our room was very sparce, nothing romantic or […] superior about this room & overlooking the street.Extremely disappointing! On enquiring about a move this was OK but 3-4 days later with only a couple of days to go decided against the move. Can't complain about anything else though. The terrace was amazing, just right for happy hour, staff helpful, location great. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary & wanted everything to be just right.. Mehr

Excellent location but a little hard to find. Nice rooms fit with surrounding area. Very charming garden... wish I had more time to spend there.

We spent one night at Palazzo Ravizza during a 12 day trip to Italy. We had a lovely experience and would certainly love to return. The room was simple in true Tuscan style, with a breathtaking view from the garden window. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was, again, simple but authentic and delicious. Highly recommended […] all the way around. However, next time I will be sure to leave Florence earlier... We got lost and confused on the way and then had a little trouble finding the old city in Siena once we finally got to town. Mehr

I really loved this place. We had a room that had one of the best views from a hotel room I have ever experienced. I took several pictures of it. The hotel is on a steep slope so it pays to bring your bags to the front of the hotel, because the gate access car park at the rear is well below the level of the main hotel, and there is a tricky drive involved […] to get to it from the front. Not a problem of course if you don't have a car. The main area of the hotel is really splendid with arched fresco ceilings and much old furniture. There is even a very old Steinway piano (in good tune!) in one of the leisure rooms and there are lots of old painting on the walls. It is an experience to stay here - one that my wife and I liked very much. Staff are excellent. Mehr

we loved our stay in Sienna, we were there only 24 hours but the town is remarkable. Our room was a little loft room, perfect for my ten year old and I, the breakfast was outside in the tree-lined court yard and of a lovely standard. we would highly recommend this hotel for its service, quality and location.

Although I hate to admit this as they will probably get more business, this is a fantastic property for the area. We wished we could have stayed longer......

My husband and I spent two nights this past week at Pensione Pallazzo Ravizza. The location is on a quiet street, but just a short walk to the shops and Campo. It is an elegant hotel with a beautifully maintained courtyard in back overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The first floor is wifi, but not the other floors, however, there are many areas on […] the first floor for privacy to use your computer, not to mention the courtyard. The breakfast, which was included, was quite a generous buffet. Various cereals and museli, yogurt, homemade breads, cheese, pastrami, tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Also several juice choices, and a great coffee machine that produced a cup of coffee, latte, or cappuccino in seconds! We opted for a suite, and it was fabulous with two large rooms, and a very large, and nicely appointed bath. Tthe friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was unparalleled. Highly recommended! Mehr

This building was built in the 1300's and is like staying in a piece of history. It has been marvelously updated with all of the conveniences you could want and features spectacular views from the rear terrace. We walked to everything in Siena from its convenient location and found the front desk staff to be friendly and very accomodating. I loved it […] and would stay there again. Mehr

Stay in a palazzo whilst visiting Siena. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed. Large bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast was served in the garden, which was shaded - a nice cool start to the morning. There was plenty of choice for breakfast - bread, cheese, salami, fruit was lovely - coffee was ok not good Italian coffee.

This is a hotel full of character & elegance. The views from the garden at breakfast & early evening drinks are beautiful! A lovely place to spend your precious time when relaxing on holiday & just far enough out of the centre. A real find.

the hotel has a long history hence explained the rather tiring structure and internal decor. its frontdesk staff are great and they have excellent memory and speak good English. unlike lodging in an international chain, you find yourself more connected to the hotel because of the friendly staff. tourists that value more of modern decor and modern […] bathroom facilities will be disappointed. tourists that value an aura of tranquility in its open garden and breakfast there will find this hotel attractive free and secured parking at its backyard is also a major attraction to those driving to Siena the website pictures show the best states of suites so those booking in double room should be aware that only a small shower box with an old ventilating fan is available. some of the rooms are not upgraded so they could be a bit dim. our room facing the garden has excellent views though one of the windows was broken. if in a hot summer night, one may find the air conditioning not acceptable Mehr

The Palazzo Rivizza in Sienna was lovely to stay at during our recent trip to Italy. Out of the three hotels I visited while traveling around Tuscany this was the best! The garden view rooms have an amazing view of the whole valley area. The breakfast was a nice bonus. There are pastries available, coffee, tea, and some fine Tuscan breads, cheese and […] salami, as well as standards such as yogurt and cereals. Finding the hotel was relatively easy if you have a GPS unit. There are many signs leading up to the hotel too, but I think having it mapped out would help. The staff were friendly and helpful in setting up many different kinds of tours. Mehr

drove around siena for 2and one half hours trying to locate the hotel. signage in this city is not enough to locate this hotel. very frustrating

We were so impressed with the staff and location of the hotel Pensione Palazzo Rivizza. They were so helpful and warm. Our room was magnificent and if your able to book the Jr suite you will not be disappointed. The one we were in was on the first floor and had a view to die for. We didn't book a rental car in advance and they helped us get that handled […] at the front desk. They really bent over backwards for us and made our stay incredible. I will definitely stay again not if I get back but WHEN I get back to Siena. Hospitality goes a long way in my book and they went over and above. Food and bar service was also great. I have not 1 negative thing to say about Pensione Palazzo Ravizza. Can't wait to see them all again. Mehr

We had a wonderful 3 days at the Palazzo Ravissa We were given a warm greeing, as well as an early check-in and room upgrade by it's charming owner Donatella. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the bathroom gorgeous. Their is also a beautiful rooftop garden to enjoy the view and a glass of wine. I thought this one of the most magical hotels I've stayed in. What this hotel lacked in 5 star amenities (like a pool) it made up for in pure charm. The view from the breakfast terrace has a truly stunning backdrop of the Tuscan hills ( worth the stay alone) and the hotel has an 'old world' ( but not old fashioned) charm that is so appealing. Good location inside the walls, impossible to find if driving, bare plain room & hotel, no restaurant or bar, breakfast coffee & roll, did not live up to expectations.

This hotel is a little jewel! Located in the center of Siena but on a quiet back street with a magnificent view of the Tuscan countryside. It's like living in your own private palazzo. Our stay at the Pensione Palazzo Ravizza was a great experience. It was the night before the Palio race and nestled in the heart of the traditional neighborhood celebrations. The Ravizza is a beautifully preserved Hotel. Our room was a Superior room well appointed with two twin beds. The staff was very helpful an accommodating in all areas. Our room […] was on the street side just above one of the neighborhood celebrations. At first I was alarmed by the prospect of noise but the window in our room was like a fortress with many layers of enclosures to make the room almost sound proof and completely dark. Our Stay included a fabulous breakfast in the beautiful gardens over looking the Tuscan valley. My only complaint is not about the hotel but about the inconvenience of getting to the hotel from the train station. Taxi's were hard to find and the bus didn't drop you off near the location of the hotel, you still had a great distance to walk with luggage. Maybe because it was the week of Palio that this was so confusing and difficult but there was no one at the station to help direct those trying to travel into the siena walls. I finally called the hotel for advice and was advised that the only way to the hotel is by car or taxi. After a good long hour of craziness a taxi finally arrived. My suggestion for the Hotel would be to have a car or taxi ready for their guest, it would be well worth an additional cost. Mehr

Wonderful garden and setting, great views to the west, friendly, helpful staff. Only complaint - wish the coffee/capucino did not come out of an automated machine.

This was our favorite hotel in our Italy vacation, and I wish we would have stayed here another night. The view from our room or the rolling hills of Tuscany, was breathtaking. It was worth the price of the hotel alone. The room was larger than anticipated, the staff was extremely friendly, and the location was great. Se dovessi tornare a Siena tornerei qui. Posto stupendo, ammantato di una nobiliare decadenza (nel senso che ci si sente trasportati in un altro tempo e non che l'Hotel lasci a desiderare). Et meget spændende hotel - et gammelt palazzo med en pragtfuld have med udsigt over det toskanske landskab. I gåafstand fra bycentrum og et meget venligt personale.

Hotel confortable, pratique, propre, avec beaucoup de charme et d'esprit, et très bien situé puisqu'au centrede Sienne . C'est donc un excellent compromis. Car, certes, ce n'est pas le grand luxe "bling bling" mais sa bonne tenue, son emplacement, son confort et bien sûr son charme ( jardin ) compensent largement !!

L’hôtel est très proche du centre de sienne, la chambre était grande . Seul inconvénient ,l'isolation acoustique car c'est une vielle bâtisse .

Très bien placé pour visiter Sienne, ancien et luxueux avec un parking privé dans les terrasses du bas (remonter la voiture pour les bagages) petit déjeuner dehors dans de beaux jardins au calme, très grande chambre avec très très grand lit (un matelas) tout confort. Prix assez élevé.

bel palazzo in centro a siena con un bellissimo giardino e vista sulle colline. non di meno un comodo parcheggio privato interno all'hotel. stanza ampia e ben arredata e relativo ampio bagno. letto comodissimo con biancheria di ottima qualità.personale gentile e disponibile. unico neo i rumori delle stanzee bagni vicini. buona la prima colazione.
