The Season's Pass Inn - Stowe

Wir haben hier eine Nacht verbracht auf unserem Weg durch Vermont. Der Hotelbesitzer war sehr nett und wir haben uns lange beim Fruehstueck mit ihm unterhalten. Das Zimmer an sich war bereits etwas aelter, das Bett nicht mehr ganz so gemuetlich. Badezimmer war dafuer sauber und schoen. Wenn man in der Gegend ist, sollte man auf jeden Fall nach Burlington […] fahren, eine tolle Universitaetsstadt am See Champlain! In der Naehe ist auch eine Ben & Jerrys Fabrik :) Mehr

vERY TIRED AND IN NEED OF AN UPDATE. BREAKFAST WAS BRILLIANT

our room had two beds, one slanted at a severe degree from the head board to the floor. the mattresses appeared old and worn. Bathroom was very small and only provided one towel for each person. Wouldn't go back most likely

I knew for the price I wasn't getting 5 star quality. That said, the non-smoking room reeked of smoke. Also, the outdoor areas pose tripping threats to folks who are not quite sure-footed or who are walking around after dark. That said, the owners are lovely people, and very chatty. Breakfast was very pleasant, if for no other reason than the owners […] sat and talked with us, giving us advice about what to do and see in Stowe. We were on our way to Montreal, and wanted to stay overnight in the Stowe area, to spend some time with family who live in the area. We made our reservations late, and the date of our stay fell within prime leaf-peeping season. The Season's Pass was really the only place we could find in the area with vacancies and within our budget. Our reservation […] needed to be paid in advance, and was non-refundable. But it all turned out fine. It was an older place and a bit shabby around the edges, but it was clean, and the owners were immediately helpful with any issues. The room was small but sufficient, however the TV was tiny and situated far from the bed. The bedsprings were squeeky but we slept well enough. Continental breakfast in the morning was satisfactory. This older inn is very run down, but the location is great, and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The bed took up most of the tiny room, and the bathroom was very cramped, but it was surprisingly clean considering the exterior condition of the inn. All was convenient, owners very nice, breakfast outstanding-all would have been top notch except the hotel is getting tired and feels a little grubby. I realize they just came off a busy season and that creates wear & tear overall, but the kitchenette (in my free upgrade room) did not seem clean (especially refrigerator). This hotel met my requirement for a low cost, comfortable, no frills place to stay overnight prior to my nephew's college graduation the next day. Checkin and out was fast and straightforward. I recently stayed at the Seasons Pass Inn. I was very happy with the service, the friendliness of the owners and the general kindness with which I was treated. The rooms are reasonably comfortable, and the one I stayed in was fairly large. There was a microwave and fridge, none of which I availed myself to. I can say the breakfast was very good. High […] quality baked goods, butter, some hard boiled eggs. Very good coffee. The only two issues I had (which were fairly annoying) where (1) at some point, they just flat out ran out of hot water. Which is kind of a pain when you have 15 minutes to shave and high-tail it to Montpelier and (2) there didn't seem to be any wifi anywhere, which hotels.com advertised was part of the amenities. Mind you, I would NOT have expected the latter at a mom and pop Inn like this one, but it was advertised and I did partially base my decision on that. Aside from that, this is a nice place with very nice and friendly service, and it's tremendously convenient to many of the Stowe attractions (which I wasn't there for, but that's beside the point). Although the room was quaint, it was in a quiet neighborhood. We did not have any loud or obnoxious neighbors, and the service was friendly. It was a bit of a drive, but we got to check out the town on our drive to Norwich University. I would reccomend this place to anyone who just needs a place to stay for cheap, it's not a bad place at all.

Clean and comfortable, Just what we look for in an overnight for skiing an area too distant for a day trip. Stowe ski are is a ten minute drive. The owners were very nice and the continental breakfast was a time saver.

Let me preface this review by saying that this review is not intended to be negative, just state the facts. I booked this hotel because I wanted a cheap place to stay for me and a buddy for 1 night around Stowe. We were not fussy about how many stars it had, the amenities, the restaurant, bar etc. We needed a cheap room that was convenient and clean […] where we could crash for a night before heading to the next resort. The Inn was passable for this purpose as long as you're not fussy. The rooms are dated but the bed was comfortable and seemed clean. The Tv was nothing to talk about but it worked and we were so beat after a day of skiing we didn't care anyway. The room had a small kitchenette. It had an unusual sink, stovetop, fridge/icebox combo that must be from the 70's or 80's. We didn't really use it so we didn't know or care if it worked. There was basic cutlery and dishware provided. My one complaint was that a previous guest had used a bowl as an ashtray and it had been badly cleaned and put back in the cabinet among the clean dishes which was pretty disgusting. The bathrooms need some updating. Things have the grime that comes with age and could do with replacing. When my buddy turned on the shower the water initially came out brown. There was a continental breakfast the next morning. We passed for two reasons 1. we were going skiing so we needed something a bit more hearty than bagels and cereal. There were some good looking homemade breads but again we passed. I did pick up a bagel at first but it seemed hard and may stale. Overall it's okay but it is firmly in the 2 star bracket. I'm not inclined to stay there again mostly because it wasn't all that great in the first place and the few things with it that I found off putting carry more weight since it didn't have anything particularly good to offset them. While the hotel is older, the room was clean and inviting. Quilts on the beds and the small kitchenette has all the accessories if lunch and supper meals were to be cooked. A lovely breakfast was provided with warm hard boiled eggs, a great assortment of homemade coffee cakes & muffins, toast with jams, real juices, fresh assorted fruit dish. Very friendly family owns the place. Were very helpful in suggesting nearby attractions and also supplied us with different maps of the area. Breakfast was GREAT.

Hard to comment on this hotel. Only spent a night, but the breakfast was very good. Although the owner is very nice, I don't think history lessons at 8 o'clock in the morning is to everyone's taste. Not far from Stowe itself, will probably go elsewhere the next time around.

I am not sure if I am doing justice by giving a negative review since the room rate was dirt cheap. I basically got what I paid for mostly but somehow expected more. The hosts were very cordial people and they served excellent breakfast. But we just couldn't stay in the room. It was too dingy and looked dirty. There was a stench too. Having said all […] that, I still think it was a great deal for the money we paid. No hotels allow this. Just the breakfast along pays for 1/2 the cost. Anyway, I do want to provide a honest comment and not tweak it because of low cost and hence the negative ratings. Mehr

The hotel had many charming added touches. the breakfast was especially nice and presented with such charm. The owners were there and were extreamly personable and helpful. They even gave a little spiel about the Stowe area which was interesting and helpful.. I highly recommend this hotel for the price.

This is very much a budget establishment in this pricey resort area; it is acceptable for a night or two. It would feel a little cramped for a longer stay. I had to pass on the continental breakfast, because I had to be somewhere by 0700, and the bkfst service didn't start until 0800, so I can't rate that. Overall, a reasonable value for the price. […] I have a extensive third-world travel experience, so I am happy if the linens are clean, the mattress is supportive, the electric works, the plumbing works, and the door has a working lock, and all of those criteria were met. WiFI access was restricted only to common areas in main buildings; individual rooms had no access. Pool was unheated and hot tub was down for chemical treatment. Not really a bed and breakfast, but a motel with quilts on the beds. Home-baked goods at breakfast buffet. Owners friendly and open.

In short, I would stay at this hotel again. The service was very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean. We arrived very late and had to leave early, so I can't say anything about the indoor pool or the Continental breakfast. The room was a little nicer than I expected considering it was the lowest price I could find in the area and also one of […] the few available rooms left at the time. It had a stove, refrigerator and was spacious. My only complaint (if I had to make one) would be that the shower wasn't hot. I ran the water for a good amount of time and it got warm but never hot. I would normaly just assume that a lot of other guests were showering at the same time but this was around midnight. I did notice the next day that the hot water for the sink was pretty hot so it may have just been the way the shower works. It is the type of faucet that only has one control lever. Mehr

Motel passable. Pas de téléphone ni séchoir à cheveux dans la chambre. Thermostat barré donc pas en contrôle de la température de la chambre. Chambre poussiéreuse et état général délabré. Déjeuner inclus assez ordinaire.

I had a good experience at the Season's Pass Inn. Traveling there alone, I am very appreciative of the owners' friendliness and inclination to talk with their guests. Breakfast is pretty luxurious and good, although warm food products are missing. My room was spacious, but perhaps a little noisy.
