Motel 6 San Jose Airport Central - San José

My friend and I were just looking for a place to sleep after attending the Radiohead concert. The motel was perfect for that and that alone. The next day as we were preparing to check out we received a call from the manager at 11:30 asking us to leave so the maids could clean. I told him we were ion the process of leaving and we would be out of the […] room shortly. Ten minutes later the manager opened the door to our room and demanded we leave. I was furious. We still had plenty of time before checkout and I pointed out this was mid-week and I saw no one lined up to rent a room for the night in his run down roach motel. I have never been treated in such a manner and will urge all to stay somewhere else unless you like being treated like dirt. Mehr

front desk staff can be a bit friendly. the hotel is strictly no frills.. nothing. even soap you only get one bath soap and no face soap. forget about shampoo. nice part is they have a reasonably ok flat screen tv, good selection of default channels. room is reasonably comfortable. location wise it's perfect. it's right close by 101, 880 and san jose […] business district (first street). there are several other motels/hotels close by with floating rates. maybe good to check out later. the rate is average, I would say for multiple night stay, there should be a better rate available. bad all around wont be going back

Aint a resort. Cheap and affordable. Sketchy neighbors and area, but ain't a problem with me. Motel sheet and towels are clean but can't say the rest bout everything else. Comfortable stay, get what you pay for.

I requested a non smoking room .... it smelled of freshly smoked cigaretes we kept the fan on all night . I asked for another room but front desk said there were none. There were also people hanging out near loby and front of hotel drinking and smoking ( not cigarets). The internet photos are definately staged!!

Good for airport overnights.

Ok for staying one night. Not really good place to take the kids. The receptionist was hard to understand. Kept the air on all night so we couldn't hear what was going on outside. Not the best neighborhood. Walked up to the door and there was dog poop on the mat. Not the cleanest hotel, but to stay one night was ok. Quick in and quick out. Easy freeway […] and airport access. Smell's bad, not clean, always noisy outside during the night, and if your priority is security, then you should not choose here.

The door was mangled and had no shampoo in the bathroom. The adjacent room was noisy. Otherwise the stay was good. The location was good and close to where my meeting/conference was held. The housekeeper was helpful when I was having a difficult time with door lock. Bed was comfortable.

This was horrable, it smelled bad, drunks in the parking lot, non smoking room was just smoked in and stunk. manager does not speak english well,

OK for Adults on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep. Not recommended for kids. Heater was broke. Thin towels. Suspicious people roaming the facility.

If the clientele staying at this motel don't scare you then perhaps the cockroaches will!

This hotel is pretty handy in case you need to go to the airport. The VTA is just outside, and you are one station or two away. Pros: Cheap, clean. Cons: Noisy. There was some people shouting outside like 3am. Best, MP

Great front desk service, but room stunk, bathroom drain was clogged, cockroaches in room, and old cigarette butts on the headboard above the pillows...in my NON-SMOKING ROOM!!!! Never again.

I needed a one-night stay in the area. Turned out to be one of the worst lodging experiences... Pro: The guy at the front desk was very nice and personable. Quick to find my reservation and check in; Shower was clean and water pressure was excellent; TV was big and mattress was surprising comfy. Cons: Overall condition of the room was filthy. Room smelled like smoke; carpet, bedsheets, pillow cases all had mysterious stains; neighborhood is bad - just the nearby street is the bail bonds capital of the region! Many random folks loiter the streets and motel vicinity which made me feel very unsafe. The kicker: I received a knock on my door in the middle of the night by 2 guys whispering, "I got the cash... come out man..." Rest assured, I wasn't expecting any guests or planning a clandestine deal so they had my room mistaken for someone else's. Hotel amenities listed a fridge in room. There wasn't one, bathroom was odd configuration, coverup on bed was gross. Room was clean enough otherwise, housekeeping staff was nice, front desk was not.

The motel was fine. The room was clean and seemed in good shape. The room did smell like it had been smoked in though. Wireless internet was fast and worked seamlessly. Fine place to stay if you are looking for a no frills room for a night.

This was the cheapest airport hotel I could find, but with no shuttle it brings the cost up. Safe area.

Got to the Hotel 6:00PM. The room was not ready, had to way for 30 minutes, and I had some issues with toilet. Totally bad experience. :-(

clean, good location

Good location with easy access to freeway or downtown, and light rail (public transit) stops in front of the motel. Room was clean, shower water was hot, not very noisy, front desk staff was helpful with directions and food suggestions. I recommend it for the price conscious person staying in San Jose.

great rooms, all the in-room perks - wifi, flatscreen tv, fridge, microwave - working great. very clean. can't go wrong here if your looking for a nice rest in the area.

I have stayed here on a weekend. The rooms are pretty much what we would expect out of motels. But the condition of the rooms are far worse than any I have seen in this country. The first room was smelling like some one peed in there. We requested a room change and in that the A/C turns off every 2 mins. There were plenty of people roaming and shouting […] in the neighborhood and the staff dint care despite our complaints. The only good thing about this room was the bathroom. It's spacious. I wont recommend it to anyone, except you have an emergency and HAVE to get a room near San jose airport. Mehr

only one problem, the taxi took us to the wrong motel at first as there are two motel 6's on the same street, 5 blocks apart, resulting in paying double for a taxi

I would not recommend staying there. I think there were more people living there than staying as hotel guests. The environment was very uncomfortable. We were stared at all the time and there was a lot of late night , early morning activity outside of our doors that made it difficult to sleep at night.

You get a good value for what you pay for. No frills, just good value and quite inexpensive to stay.

No washcloth, bathmat, or towels of any kind provided. Scary, noisy neighbors. In the middle of the night someone tried to enter my room. Desk gave incorrect info about how to get to the CalTrain station. Came away covered with BEDBUG BITES.

Drunk people were running down the hallway all night. Prostitutes were going in & out the rooms. Not suitable for family.

the hotel offers nothing for guests; no internet (inexcusable for Silicon Valley), no morning coffee, shower smelled of mold.

that's about all I can say - CONS- no shampoo, only hand soap, hair dryer is not in bathroom and the mirror its next too is too low. the top of the mirror is only 5' 4" wifi sucks - drops all the time and is slow. quicker to hook up my droid as a modem TV is not hi def and had a line going through screen Booked and paid for 2 nights - they only put […] 1 night on my card. had to go back to hotel service and have them put another night on card Pro - cheapest room in san jose on hotels.com - room is clean and quiet. reserved for 11 am not ready till 4pm, pool was not open, no coffee pot , not enough towels for 3 people in room, no fridge, room smelled of what who knows had long term live ins which should have been a red flag felt uncomfortable with low lifes in area

It would of been better if the pool was working. in the heat. I rent rooms with pools so i can swim.

Not a good environment for kids.
