Days Inn Forbidden City Beijing - Peking

Good hotel for the price. I had a basement room and it was fine. Nice and warm in January with hot shower. The location is superb being 10 mins away from the Forbidden City.

The location is quite nice with very attractive price and cleaness.

The room rate was very good. However, it was for a budget room, which meant that we were in a small room in the basement with a small window and not much ventilation. Hence, mildew in shower. But, the location is fantastic, a short walk to the Forbidden City. it is a terribly bad experience in this hotel, with counter staffs complaining about customers loudly in chinese at the counter. they did not explain about the need to charge when we use the computers in a room, and when we explained that we were not notified, the staff actually went out to the counter and complained very loudly about us until i walked […] out and stared at her. she then said "let's not talk about it" in chinese and walked away. i am a chinese by the way, and imagine the extreme difference in treatment compared to caucasians. so coming to think about it, most of the positive reviews are written by caucasians, and i am probably one of the few chinese to write a negative review about this hotel. despite the good location (very near tian an men or train service), i would not recommend this hotel as the counter staffs are not friendly, they show biasness in their service depending on your skin tone, and you would know they are gossiping and cursing at you if you know and understand chinese. I was very pleased to find a car available at 6:30 am to take me to the airport for 150 yuan which is reasonable. You replied to my pre-visit email with the information I requested which was helpful. I discovered the a/c unit was leaking water onto the bed at 10:15 pm & a repairman came right away & fixed it & I was given a dry comforter so I could […] go to sleep when he finished. International travel is not new to us; however our recent stay at the Days Inn Forbidden City was less than what we had hoped or expected. We were less than satisfied. Granted, we booked a queen bed nonsmoking room for a week at a very valuable rate, however, even though we paid for a more expensive room than the lowest room offered we were placed in […] a substandard room in the sub-basement. The bed was uncomfortable even for Chinese standards. We were expecting a very firm mattress, what we did not expect was for it to have springs poking into our ribs, back, neck and knees. We also expected that the “Privacy” door hanger would keep the staff from entering our room. This was not the case. We had to complain in multiple occasions before the hotel staff (cleaning crew mainly) would honor our request for privacy. There was also mold in the bathroom. Furthermore, the hotel description stated that the hotel staff would be able to communicate in English as well as be able to exchange our money from foreign currency into Chinese currency. Neither of which were true. When asking for information on how to get to local attractions, the hotel was more than willing to try to book us tours, even though we were within walking distance to the Forbidden City (hence the name) and other local attractions but they were less than helpful when it came to trying to assist us without going through a tour company. When we asked where a “good tasting and clean restaurant” might be found other than the hotel, the response from the receptionist was “I don’t understand clean”. I will give credit; the restaurant on site was clean and provided nice meals at a reasonable price. The location was very convenient to the sites we wanted to see as well as to the subway; however there was a very shady Hutong right beside the hotel, resulting in the need for security to be on site 24 hours a day. Hotel's location is perfect as we could easily walk to the subway and Wangfujing area. The hotel reception staff could speak English and was always ready to provide assistance. Just loved the shower! Room was clean. Only complaint is the size of the bed. We had booked a room for three persons and were assured at that time of booking that each bed was […] big enough for two persons. However it turned out to be only a bit bigger than a single bed! One other small inconvenience was that even though the hotel knew that 3 persons were staying in the room, the household dept kept replenishing only two towels each day. We had to call to request for the extra towel. Other than that, the hotel's warm and friendly staff and its great location more than compensate for the lack in some aspects. Mehr

Great staff with good English and a real willingness to help. Only drawback is lack of convenient dining options.

good location. walk to forbiddent city thru lovely park. walking distance to wangfujing. room is well-lit. bathroom is clean. service is totally unobtrusive - you hardly know it exists, but rooms are kept clean.

We holidayed in beijing for 2 weeks,absolutely amazing place.Our hotel was excellent located close to all the attractions eg:tianamen sqaure,forbidden city,behia park,jingshen park and numerous other attractions were all within minutes away also the subway which is immaculate and well run only a little crowded. The hotel was well located and the staff were very friendly. There are just a few thngs that prevent me from giving it the highest mark, like probloems with the internet connection. Besides that, a very good place.

One of very few hotels in Beijing offering non smoking rooms. But, people still smoke everywhere! Common areas and elevator often smelled of smoke. They just dont enforce. Best location you can find in Beijing walk to Forbidden City, Tienamen Sq. Shopping district, street markets. Restaurant buffet good price but low quality. 호텔 위치나 가격 등은 비교적 만족합니다. 저는 하루종일 관광 후 잠만 호텔에서 자서 그래도 괜찮았는데 호텔에서 많은 시간을 보내시려는 분한테는 비추입니다. 호텔이 총 3층인 것 같은데 지하에 객실이 너무 많아서 거기서 머무르게 된다면 환기가 잘 되지 않고 방크기가 너무 작아 많이 답답하더라구요. 관광 위주로 잠만 주무시는 분한테는 추천입니다. 호텔바로 앞에 60번, 82번 버스 정류소도 있어서 시내(지하철역과 전문, 십찰해 등)로 바로 나갈수 있어서 좋더라구요. 또 호텔 바로 앞에 양꼬지 파는데도 있더라구요. 좀 작지만 하나에 일원이구요^^ 결론적으로 반지하라는 점 외에는 주변 시설 등 비교적 만족합니다.

Отель не плохой для 3 звезд, конечно на 5 не тянет, но вот с натяжкой 4 - я бы поставила. Отель находится в самом центре Пекина, но вот только эта близость и хорошо и плохо. Хорошо то, что можно пешком добраться до площади и знаменитой улицы шопингистов. А плохо потому что всё в два, а иногда и в три раза дороже чем в других районах Пекина. Взяли самый дешевый номер с форточкой под потолком. Вентиляция плохая. Курили в номере, потом это всё сутки воняло и не выветривалось. Номер несколько обшарпан, но чисто. Номер тесный. Проводной интернет достаточно быстрый. Кровать хорошая, мягкая. Депозит 500 юаней, дали 400. Находится совсем рядом от площади тяньаньмэнь и пешеходной улицы. Hotellet ligger mycket bra till för tunnelbana och sevärdheter. Rummen är fina men sängarna är mycket hårda. Helt OK engelskakunskaper i receptionen. Bra frukostbuffé. Långsamt internet.

O hotel esta localizado no coração da parte turistica, da area de compras, facil de alcançar tudo com metro. O hotel é confortavel, limpo. Não ha muitas opçoes de comida para room service
