"Pretty run down"
Stayed only one night. Confusing road layout to get to it, even with a navigation system. Toilet was not bolted down securely and shifted to the side when sat on. Cracked tile in bathroom and old, threadbare carpet. Paint seemed fresh and room seemed clean. Continental breakfast was marginal and they were out of juice and punch.

I traveled a lot in the Lafayette area on business and this HoJo is one of the best places I stayed in. Always clean, never disappointed. Breakfast area could be larger with a larger selection of fruit, but a super deal at Hotel.com prices.

"Perfect for what we needed"
Over-all, our stay was quite comfortable. The price was definitely right! The ONLY negative I could say was their breakfast left MUCH to be desired! They only had raisin bran, and frosted flakes, HARD biscuits, mini cinnamon rolls, frozen waffles, a flask of white milk and orange juice. They did have two kinds of coffee that I was able to mix enough […] things into to make it drinkable. If they could at least invest in a REAL waffle maker or two, they would probably get a good rating in this department! Mehr

wasnt a good hotel at all. i travis may not use hotel.com anymore cuz everything that was told to me was a lie .my kids were supper happy when i told the about the two pools one inside for kids ,one outside for adults. me &my wife were displease with roomsevice no room at all n hoel lobby area was very small too. did not like it at all. management watch […] use like hawks evrytime we move frm our room like they had video camra n there. It was a very nice stay. Rooms are a bit small but really nice.
This was a lovely stay. We were able to go see many of the sites. The hotel staff was friendly. The sheets were very clean and very soft. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Layfayette area.

Room was great, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was limited as was seating for breakfast. Not real easy to get to because of traffic. We were attending events at ULL and it was challenging to get to and from the campus.
"Front Desk is A Lot To Be Desired"
Front Desk cannot be trusted, asked to have room made up and they refused. Observed other guest in the middle of an argument with the front desk for being overcharged. They must pay the maids by the number of rooms cleaned because they are always looking for excuses not to have the rooms cleaned if you are staying more than one night.

Ask for more towels and didn't get it. Also they have horrible breakfast.
Linens where not clean and it stated windows open in the description and they.don't. Needs a better breakfast.

The appearance on the hotel was nice and the room was very clean. BUT the bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows were very very uncomfortable and made my neck hurt for following 2 days. Only other problem we encountered was the someone ( housekeeper??) trying to enter our room at 830 am, knocked twice then opened our door, we were still sleeping luckily […] we have the chain on the door and check out wasnt til noon so not sure why housekeeper would be entering. When I told receptionist someone tried entering our room by opening door his reply," it was probably housekeeping". So didnt appreciate that. It was nice but wont stay at this location again. Mehr

This hotel is very clean. Everything works great. Personel were very friendly. Had no problem at all. Shoneys breakfast across the street was perfect but you can get the continenal one near front desk if you like. The room was clean and comfortable. THE HOUSEKEEPERS WERE PESTS ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER, THEY ARE STINGY WITH THEIR TOWELS, AND I FOUND ALOT OF FOOD IN THE DRAWERS INSIDE ROOM, NO ROOM FOR CLOTHES...EWWWWWW.

the hotel was really easy to find. the front desk staff was not very friendly. the room was emaculate. i would stay here again. the continental breakfast left little to be desired but there are a waffle house and shoney's across the street.

Had some issues with original booking (AC was broken in the room) but they gave us another room. Ac and hot water was awesome. Breakfast was kinda crappy, but it was food. People behind the desk spoke very little English and did not know the area well. For the price and a one night stay it was pretty good.

I like the location it was close enough to alot of stores for shopping and restaurants for eating. They breakfast was not great, seemed like your everyday sams bakery items, with frozen waffles. I am used to making fresh waffles with a provided waffle iron. The room was clean, one blanket had several holes in it.
The service at the hotel was good. The breakfast wasnt that great. Other then that I was very pleased with my stay. People working there was very friendly.

Bed linens had burn holes. Hair in the bed (not just a few, but MANY). Extremely noisy heat/AC unit in room (too noisy to use). NOT a good neighborhood! The location in relation to the interstate is very convenient, but I would NOT recommend this hotel, and would NOT stay here agin!

This is a great hotel...great location...all around great. The only thing I could suggest is throwing a couple extra pillows in the room for guests that need it. Other than that it was a great place.

Hotel staff was quick to resolve issues with room assignment. (Someone came pounding on our door at 2:30am because the room had been double booked). Great breakfast bar, cool building, convenient to streetcars to French Quarter. Overall very pleased
