great hotel but you need a car to get around.

Parknasilla is a gem. Set in a natural beauty spot , the hotel has a unique feature - many kilometers of walking trails on the hotel grounds - enough to keep one amused for hours. You need a bit of luck with the weather though. The staff are wonderfully friendly and there is now a fine pool and spa area. Great service and facilities, especially the spa and outdoor jacuzzi. Carpet stained in room, cabinets old and worn, dated tv, noisy bed.

Excellent hotel, staff very pleasant and helpful, in giving details about walks and couldn't help enough for anything we needed for the baby - food, etc. Lovely walks around the hotel grounds, but they could be sign posted a bit better on the tracks. A beautiful old style Hotel with some lovely modern facilities such as the Spa and Lodges. Most majestic surroundings with mountains, sea and woodland in a very peaceful and serene location. even though we checked in at 1 pm. our room was on the ground floor with public roadway outside and no .net curtins. .we asked for another room and were given part of a 2 room suite .(with locked doors) obviouslt the kiddies room as it was so small we were not happy

We decided to do the Ring of Kerry drive but at a slower pace and chose Parknasilla as one of our two stop overs. What a place! Got a great price online and our 2yo stayed free. Room was huge with quality furnishings. A gorgeous building on amazing grounds, so make sure you leave some daylight hours to explore and enjoy what you're paying for. Staff […] were formal and really friendly. The town of Sneem was really lovely so recommend you head there for a wander and bite to eat and a drink. Mehr

In short, this hotel could be much better than it actually is. It tries for old world charm but fails in parts. The bedrooms are tatty, the bathrooms are small and the shower in our room was a disaster. The setting of the hotel and its proximity to Sneem is ideal. The spa is top notch . It has a good size pool and the relaxation area of the spa is […] fantastic. I would sum up Parknasilla in the following way. "Could do better". Spruce up the bedrooms, provide water in the bedrooms, dont charge €10 for robes and fix the showers. Do this and you are half way there. P.S O Sheas in Sneem does great bar food. Mehr

We chose the self catering apartments and found our 2 bedroomed 2 bathroom accommodation to be of a very high standard. We enjoyed being able to use the hotel amenities( the pool and hot tubs were great!) while having the freedom of looking after ourselves. Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer were a bonus. We would have liked some hooks to […] hang up damp waterproofs in the entrance and a mat inside the front door would have kept the tiles cleaner but these are minor niggles. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel with it's perfect position for exploring the Ring of Kerry Mehr

Everything was wonderful. Stayed in the lodge with our two sons and it was very spacious and private. Had a good walk to the main hotel which may be a nuisance to some in bad weather but it was a good way to work out after our four course dinner! The mosaic pool, steam rooms and hot tubs were relaxing and picturesque. Only complaint, but is understandable, […] is that the children have to leave the pool at 5:00pm and we had to leave the pool early and could not go to the first dinner seating til 7:00pm and the children's tea is only from 5:00-5:30. Later pool times would be great but it is understadable for the other guests. Mehr

Wonderful setting, great hotel spa n leisure centre.. we stayed in the lodges and they were top notch fitted out to a very high standard. Delighted with the stay n vow to return but not with the kids this time. Want to have romantic break ofr two next time stay in main hotel and have long leisurely lunches looking out over the spectacular sea

We stayed in the self catering apartments and you do get what you pay for. It is well designed and decorated with ample room. The leisure centre is pleasant with good amenities. The service in the bar/lounge was less than impressive as was service at the swimming pool . The customer service in general was poor and this was a major disappointment . […] The quality of the food in the bar/ lounge area was not very good. The setting is outstanding. The hotel is beautiful if a bit frayed around the edges. The apartments / lodges are great especially for families. . The service in the lounge / bar was dreadful. Ask them for a high chair - "yes we'll bring it to you" - nothing doing. Bar staff refusing to take orders / general obstinacy of young waitresses - "take a […] seat and we'll take your order" - nothing doing again. One older waitress very good but very disappointing service in general. The pool / spa are great. I would go back defiinitely but with self catering in mind. Mehr

Really enjoyed my stay at Parknasilla, self catering lodges were the most comfortable and well equiped of any self catering I have ever stayed in!! No noisy neighbours and everything spotless and finished to a very high standard. Spa and leisure facilities first class. If I have only one criticism, I found the Hotel food and beverages a bit pricey, […] E7.90 for a glass of wine in the bar is a bit steep!! Will definitly stay there again and highly recommend it as a getaway, but bring your own wine!! Mehr

You won't find a more relaxed, beautiful, and comfortable hotel from which to enjoy the Ring of Kerry. We stayed in one of the family lodges, which are brand new with 2-bedrooms and a huge living room/dining room/kitchen combo. The rooms are beautifully designed and well-appointed. The grounds are stunningly beautiful with an indoor pool that overlooks […] the water and a full spa. We were thrilled to get so much for our money. A hideaway with a resort feeling.
