Super Lage !! Tolles Frühstück !!!!

Die Lage des Hotel ist für einen Städteurlaub fast ideal zu nennen. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen in in Gehreichweite. Das Hotel ist sehr schön einerichtet mit stilvollen Möbeln und Dekor. Bei dem von mir genutzten Zimmer gab es jedoch kleine Abstriche: Um beispielsweise das Netzwerkkabel in die entsprechende Buchse stecken zu können mußte erst einmal […] die Minibar verrückt werden. Die Zimmerwende sind nicht die dicksten, so daß man auch mit Geräuschen von außen/aus dem Nebenzimmer rechnen muß, aber das hielt sich in Grenzen. Ansonsten entsprechen die Zimmer den Erwartungen. Das Frühstück entsprach den Erwartungen mit einer guten Auswahl. Frühaufsteher müssen aber damit rechnen nicht von Beginn an alles vorzufinden, was die Küche zu bieten hat. Während jeden Frühstückes wurde noch während des Essen Speisen aufgetragen (nicht schon nachgelegt). Die Bitte des Hotels, nicht zu Stoßzeiten in den verhältnismäßig Raum zu kommen, konnte ich nicht nachvollziehen. Das Personal war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mehr

Das Schönste an dem Hotel ist der gemütliche Innenhof, indem man bei ausreichend gutem Wetter wunderbar frühstücken kann. Die Nähe zu Altstadt und Schiffsanlegestelle ist ausgezeichnet. Manche Zimmer nach dem Innenhof sind dunkel aber dafür ruhig.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Altstadt kann man bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Auch die Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel ist sehr gut. Für einen Stadtbesuch unbedingt zu emfehlen.

Wir haben uns in dem Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt. Die zentrale Lage in der Altstadt ideal. Stadtführungen beginnen ca. 50 m vom Hotel entfernt. Die meisten Sehens würdigkeiten sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr angetan waren wir von der Freundlichkeit und dem Engagement des Personals.

Ein schönes nettes Hotel am Rande der Altstadt, Flughafenbus in kaum 200m Entfernung. Nette Einrichtung, gutes Bett. Zu empfehlen.

Das Hotel ist sehr günstig gelegen. Für einen Städtetrip unbedingt zu empfehlen. Alles was es zu sehen gibt, ist zu Fuss wunderbar erreichbar.

We stayed in one of the suites at the hotel. Room was very quite and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful when it came to suggesting day trips and arranging for a driver to take us to where we wanted to go. Hotel was close to everything in old town, within walking distance to all sights. The hotel was nice, breakfast was good, but nothing extraordinary. Located on a fairly quiet street so that was good. Happy Hour 18-20 in the hotel bar.

Beautiful hotel in the centrum of the Riga Old Town. Breakfest buffét was good and had everything you need. Rooms were not very big(room with two single beds), but enough if you're planning just to sleep in there. Beds, blankets and pillows were very comfy! Traffic doesn't bother inside the room. This is a good hotel, but there is a bar in the hotel that is open until 5 am. If you get a nearby room it is not possible to sleep and complaints are made in vain. I would have liked stronger light in the rooms as the light bulbs are very weak and it is not possible to read in the evening. There are always problems with the TV-channels and last time […] it took five days to fix it. Mehr

Direct public transportation from airport within 25mins and just in the Old Town. Tasty diverse breakfast with good coffee. Staff made us tea at 3am in the morning.

The rooms standard is lower, much lower than exspectet and they try and show me other rooms, but it was the same, old , cold and looks very used. Looks very good on pictures, but with a good photograf all looks nice. The staff was friendly and kind and very polite.

Excelent location, good price and excellent staff.

Highly recommended. Great location near museum of Occupation in the old town. Walking distance to all the sights and bus & train stations. Fabulous decor. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We stayed twice on this holiday and loved it each time.

This hotel is in a good location, on the edge of the Old Town and close to the river. Ideal for drop off from the No22 Airport bus.Get off at the first stop just after crossing the bridge in Riga--cross road using the underpass and hotel is a few yards up the street on your right. I admit that I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews of this hotel, but I was most pleasantly surprised. I liked the hotel more the longer I stayed. I was traveling alone and stayed in a single room which I expected to be small. And it was, but it was certainly adequate for my needs, a single bed, desk, TV, air-conditioning, wardrobe, and […] bathroom with shower. The room was on the courtyard which meant that the room was very quiet (the street can be noisy). The air-conditioning kept the air temperature comfortable. The only thing that I did not like is that while the air was cool, there was no air movement in the room. It was humid when I was there which meant that even with the room cool, I was sweating. The breakfast exceeded my expectations, and was very delicious. One morning I went to breakfast later and some of the breakfast items were no longer available, therefore definitely go early. The courtyard was comfortable for a drink. If this hotel is not a 4 star, it is a solid 3.5 stars. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed. It's right in the old town; very clean and comfortable and provides an excellent breakfast buffet. Riga's bus tour starts just outside of the hotel, so very practical. Definitely recommended.

This hotel is very warm, welcoming and clean. It is within the old city and is very close to the Town Hall, House of the Blackheads, Cathedral Square and everything else you'll want to see. One warning: my room faced the outside street which is EXTREMELY noisy (something about the steel plates and the way the road is built). I had trouble sleeping with […] the window open. I spent three days at this lovely litle hotel in Riga, I had a single room which was quite adequate, with minibar, aircondition and satelite TV. For a Norwegian it was very pleasant to find the main Norwegian Channel - NRK1 - on the telly. The room was small, but had a lovely view over the little main court with fontain, and I only missed a good resting […] chair. The bed was wide (120 cm I think) and very good. Bathroom war also very nice, but should very much have a shelt for cosmetics etc. Also very nice restaurant with an exellent breakfast. I will come back to this hotel! Mehr

I stayed in a room on the edge of the hotel which shares a wall with the residential building next door. For my 2 nights there, all I could hear was loud music pumping through the thin walls. I told the staff about the problem and asked if I could move rooms, but they said there was nothing they could do. I had to use earplugs and turn the TV to drown […] out the thumping noise. Very nice hotel on the west edge of Old Town. Reception is off a very pretty, enclosed courtyard. My room was not quite ready when I arrived at 3:00, which was a bit unusual, but I only had to wait 20 min. The room was perfectly fine--small, but that is what you get in a single room in a big city. Free wireless was nice. My only complaint was that […] the toiletries in the bathroom were very cheap (disposable shampoo pouches and tiny soap bars) and the towels were very thin. It was something you would expect in a cheap American hotel chain, but quite surprising in a nice city hotel like this. There was some noise from the bar downstairs, but it was not very loud and did not bother me. Staff was very nice. It could be a problem if you are arriving with a car. I did not see any parking lot, but there was a commercial lot across the street. Mehr

Very good price quality, no doubt about that. Hotel is a little "old-style" but very clean and well maintained. For the lower rates you might end up with a very small room but that didn't bother me too much. You can hear some noise from the corridors in the mornings since this is more of an old house converted to a hotel rather than a newly built one. […] On the other hand it is not a big hotel so it's rather calm. The whole experience of the Hotel inside and outside (despite being -8 degrees and covered in snow) was great. Staff very friendly helpful and polite at all times. Our room and all public areas were spotless. Breakfast was a mix of bacon , sausages, croissants, fish and cereal etc as expected. Excellent location if you want to explore old town and area. Rooms are very spacious and clean however the one that we stayed in was located just beside the lift, so a bit noisy. Very good breakfast. Reception staff very nice and friendly. This hotel is perfect for both business or leisure.

Lovely homely hotel in very convenient location. Staff very friendly and helpful, Room quite sizable, clean and well maintained. Lovely modern bathroom. Free WiFi very handy. Restaurant a bit souless and bar was never open during our stay, but plenty of other places close by.

Had a triple room (3 single beds) for a stay in October 2010. The hotel is very attractive, and the room and bathroom were nice, comfortable and clean. Great location near the Latvian Occupation Museum, St Peters and other churches, and the House of Blackheads. Easy to walk around Old Town and see the sites and shops. Nice hotel, lovely reception areas, restaurant/bar very nice. Very good breakfast. Little bit of noise from a neighbouring nightclub from around 6pm to 4+am. It was not very loud but there was always a slight bass rumble. Pack earplugs just in case you are a light sleeper and in a room near the nightclub.All in all though I would recommend it and it's […] a great base to tour Riga on foot due to its central location. The Garden Palace is located in the Old City, literally only a few yards away from the Museum of the Occupation and the House of the Blackhead. Since the Old City is fairly compact, we found that we were within ten minutes walk of virtually all the major attractions. We had warned the hotel in advance that we would be arriving late and, to our delight […] when we arrived after a cattle-class flight, found that we had been upgraded to a huge suite with an en-suite sauna and jacuzzi for the duration of our stay (though tea or coffee making facilities would be a nice addition). The hotel was superb in most respects - the only downside being that the hotel bar is still closed for rennovations. However, drinks could be orderd from the restaurant and enjoyed in a private courtyard just outside (it was still warm enough during our stay in late August to do this late into the evening). The one meal we had in the restaurant was first class, very good value, and service was excellant throughout. A large buffet-style breakfast was also served every morning that set you up for day's sightseeing. All in all, we would thoroughly recommend the hotel as a great site from which to see Old Riga and would have no hesitation in returning. Mehr

Vi var 4 par som reiste sammen, og vi fikk 4 rom med romslig sammenhengende terrasse i 5. etg. Flotte rom i et fint hotell, med meget sentral beliggenhet rett ved Rådhusplassen. Kort vei til alt ! Personalet var meget vennlig og servicennstilt fra vi kom til de ønsket oss velkommen tilbake. De ordnet også med rimelig transport fra og til flyplassen, […] det er bare å gå inn på hjemmesiden til hotellet og sende forespørsel eller bestilling. Kommer helt sikkert til å bruke dette hotellet ved neste tur til Riga ! Mehr

Ett riktigt mysigt hotell i Gamla stan i Riga. Innergårdsmiljön, restaurang, bar och reception väldigt trevligt. Det känns att man fräschat upp intrycksmiljöerna ordentligt medan rummen i alla fall vårt inte får mer än -3. Men vi tillbringade inte mer än natten på rummet och sängarna var helt ok. Vi har haft en fantastisk helg med sommarväder, mycket […] promenader för att sedan vila i någon av stadens mysiga restaurangmiljöer. Taka spa, ett helt underbart spa med så mycket vänlighet. Mycket bra hotell. Vi bodde i sk. junior svit - Mkt bra dubbelsäng, stort rum och toalett med egen uteplats med bord och stolar. Toppenfrukosstbuffe med allt man kan önska sig. Väldigt tyst på natten. Är ett av de bästa hotellen vi bott på, fullt jämn för bart med ett topphotell i Sverige. Läget i gamla stan gjorde att det var promenadavstånd till restauranger, […] sevärdheter och till den fantastiska matmarknaden i de 4 fd. zeppelinhangarerna...som är ett måste att besöka Mehr

Lentokentältä pääsee lähes hotellin oven eteen yhdellä bussilla nro 22. Hotellilta alkaa vanhan kaupungin nähtävyydet. Lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä ostoskeskuksia. Hotellin hinta-laatusuhde erinomainen. Aamiaispöytä runsas ja laadukas. Ystävällinen palvelu. Hotellin vierestä hyvät julkiset kulkuyhteydet.

Bra hotell i forhold til prisen. Super beliggenhet med buss til flyplass like ved. Hyggelige damer i resepsjonen. God i engelsk. Fikk oppgradert rom uten problem. Eneste minus var at den norske TV-kanalen var fjernet som de hadde før. God seng. Rent og trivelig rom/bad. Bra frokost. Ikke noe luksushotell, men kan anbefales.
