Beachgate CondoSuites & Motel - Port Aransas

The "condo" didn't face the beach as I had thought. The room was clean. However, the bed was so bad my husband slept in the truck and we were glad that hotels;com made an error & we only booked two nights. As far as the location was it was great for getting right to the beach. We made the most of it and glad we could have our pets with us. Major oever […] haul on the bed would greatly improve the room. I enjoyed being very close to the beach.

My brother and I booked both our families at this hotel. Everyone of us was floored by this fantastic place. It was easily 10 times better than we could have imagined. It really was just like having our own personal, spacious apartment. It was worth every penny & we cannot wait to visit again. It was close enough to the ferry, but great because it felt […] so intimate. We absolutely could see the beach & walked right to it in under 4 minutes...with all the kids in tow. We only had our two families, but you could easily fit three comfortably in our room. If I had to complain, it would only be about the 4 pm check-in. 8 hrs in the car with my kids was a long drive & we had a family commitment at 5 pm. We had hoped to get in the room earlier than 4 but instead we ended up being late to a memorial service because we just didn't have enough time to get everyone ready & unload the cars. But, we'll just plan better for it next time around. Overall, my advice is to pick this hotel. :-) Mehr

I enjoyed staying so close to the beach but for the price I would have expected something above a bed and tv.

The location is great, the views are wonderful, the property has been updated but the staff on the whole are not friendly but besides that I would recommend the property to my friends...

We arrived early, but check-in is not until 4:00 pm. I thought that was odd. Room smelled musty, linens did not seem fresh and floors and bathroom were not clean. Very disappointed. Also, door to room did not lock properly, had to push coffee table against door at night. The beach was very close, however.

Right on the beach. Very popular with young spring break attendees... So it was a little noisy but our daughter loved it.

From Beachgate walk right out onto a beautiful beach and just blocks from shopping and restaurants.Property is nice including two hot tubs at two seperate pools, one heated.

Enjoyed the beach and one pool and hot tub. The other was usually heated per one of the guests but was not working.

Stayed here a couple of nights on a fishing trip with a buddy. Good location, very close to the beach. The room was clean. Full size fridge came in handy. Not luxurious, but comfortable. They sell ice at the office which is very handy.

The room was clean and the stalf was best, but the smoke alarms were in a drawer and not working, they had worked on the room and it was not finished. We reserved a room with a balcony overlooking the Gulf and got a room overlooking a small swimming pool and some vending machines.the room was not bad it was just not what was reserved. Great room and view. Convenient to stores, restaurants, and the beach. Receptionist was not too friendly, but otherwise it was great.

Was right on the beach. Had a great time. Will come back again.

I loved being so near the beach! Our room was comfortable and clean. The people at the front desk were very accomodating! Can't wait to go back!

Our second time to stay here. This condo was a little more worn than the first, but still very nice and everything was functional, Location is outstanding, a SHORT walk over the dunes and you are on the beach. When I was looking for a place to stay on the beach @ Port Aransas, I did read the not favorable reviews as well as the favorable. I had hoped for the best when I made our reservation. I was disappointed; however, to find that we were placed in a room that was deserving of the negative comments I had read in online reviews. After picking up our keys […] and entering our room, we called the office to report that a bedside table had a drawer missing, there was not any bathroom tissue or washcloths, and the carpet had frayed edges and was stained. We were told to comment on the furniture on a form and were provided with the needed items. Later that evening, I was making sure we had what we needed for the morning. The coffee/filter pack that was provided had absorbed some liquid at some prior time and was not usable. When I was turning back the bed covering, I saw that one of the pillowcases was not clean. I called the office and asked for a replacement coffee/filter pack and a clean pillowcase. The items were brought to us. When I removed the pillowcases, I saw that the pillows had several yellow stains. I was able to catch the girl who had just left and asked her for cleaner pillows. She commented to me that "it's not like a dog peed on them or something." I then asked if our room had been checked to make sure it was suitable for guests. She told me that she worked in the office and not in housekeeping. We were exhausted from our drive and hoped for a good night's rest. We were very aware of the springs in the mattress and the creak of the bed. Our room was close to the pool, at which other guests seemed to party till morning. We were tired and just kept the fan on to drown out the noise. My oversight was not checking for coffee cups--there were not any, even though the inventory sheet said there were 2. After we had brewed the coffee, I called the office and was told that we could get them when the office opened later that morning. We used our stainless steel water bottl Mehr

WE LOVE THE LOCATION AND THE ROOM IN GENERAL, AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ONLY IF MANAGEMENT'S QUALITY CONTROL IS IMPROVED.

Great beach location....just a short walk to the beach. Smallish room but enough amenities to keep me happy. Clean.

Hotel was dirty, with broken furniture, broken lamps and trash left from previous guest. Although a refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster are in the room, this "kitchenette" is not supplied with proper utensils to use in it, one spoon, and a couple of left over plastic wear that I assume were left from other guests.
