Very nice whirlpool tub.Enjoyed the balcony overlooking the ocean. Bed was very comfortable.Great romantic getaway!

Our room faced the ocean which was the best. It was nice to sit on the balcony to watch the surfers and dolphins. The hotel location was perfect. I would book again.

Its an older hotel, but really nice for the money.

Overall it was a good stay. Will probably come back. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the room. Thought the king bed, which was actually two doubles pushed together, provided plenty of room, but also a bump in the middle.

New carpet, and everything was clean. The bldg is old and shows it's age. Everything worked well including the old TV. I would stay again because of the location and the price. Housekeeping on the 6th floor was friendly and worked around our vacation schedule.

The Schooner was a very nice place to stay. It is not as fancy as the other hotels in the area, but we were the last on the strip for that area so it was quieter but still walking distance to everything. We watches dolphins play right outside our room balcony. Will be sure to stay there again.

Great hotel room that has an actuall mini kitchen with fridge for use. Highly recommend the king room w/ whirlpool for a restful stay. Although the hotel needs some renovation and maintenance overhaul it serves the vacationer well and for the price you cannot complain.

We stayed 3nites and had a great time . The room was great and had an awesome view of the ocean. We saw dolphins and pelicans from our balcony. We would reccommend this to all. We cant wait to go back

The view of the ocean was spectacular. Being at the end of the boardwalk was great. There was less noise and the focus was on the beach, the surfers and the dolphins. For the price, view and location will definitely be back.

Ocean View from the room is Awesome. Location is very convenient but the hotel was smelling bad. on the whole not bad for the price you pay

They have remodel since the last stay....It was a very inviting atmosphere. Will stay again.

Was a very great one day stay. So short but made me feel I was on summer vacation!

I loved the fact that the rooms had a small kitchenette and frige. The view off the balcony was great. Staff was very helpful and curtious. I am staying there again in just a few weeks.

The room had a bad odor. It was nice out, but the lock the air so that it can't be used. We had tto sleep with the baconly door open.

Air conditioning was not working maybe due to the time of year but it is unseasonably warm so was needed.

Was there for the St. Patricks Day marathon, so got off-season price, so didn't expect much. Surprised! the room was big, very large floor to ceiling windows with a nice view of the beach. Only separated from the beach by the boardwalk, but the view of the crashing waves was excellent. The room was clean, and had a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, […] etc. I;ll do that race again and will definitely stay in this hotel. Mehr

This hotel was a wonderful value. It was clean, comfortable, and oceanfront. The rooms also have a mini kitchen which was a added bounus. We would go back.

Although we had a great view of the ocean and the Shamrock 8k which is why we were at the beach, our first room had an issue with the lock and we couldn't get in . . . we were sent to a different room. The decor is outdated but the room was ok with regard to cleanliness. However, within the first half hour, both the commode and the sink were clogged […] and we had to have someone come and address the issue. They did send someone quickly, though. And the front desk was cranky about a late check-out request even though they told us we wouldn't be able to leave as the roads were blocked because of the Shamrock races! Mehr

Location, location, location.......it is GREAT and therein lies the only redeeming quality of the Inn. It needs to be renovated. The odor of the room was unpleasant.

Clean, quiet and pleasant. Good service. Location was a little out of the way but, we would stay there again.

The overall stay was nice untill check out ,we returned to our car and someone had stolen one of the tires off our car parked in front of the hotel office.

This hotel wasn't bad for the price, so we thought. We entered the room and it was old, but okay. They front desk attendant must have been there all day, since she seemed very cranky. We felt like we were putting her out, by having her check us in. Not the best first impression. We checked in and dropped off our bags in the room. We went out to eat […] and when we returned to our room, to our surprise it was a sauna in there. The thermostat said it was 72 degrees, but it felt more like 92. We tried to turn the heat off, but no success. We had to sleep with the balcony door open all night. Needless to say, we didn't sleep well, worrying if someone was going to see our door open and come into our room. The next day it was raining. We decided to take the stairs and to our surprise they were wet from the condensation from the rain. My husband slipped and slid down the grey, concrete painted stairs. On checkout he informed the office manager, who then called the maintenance man. He told her he always falls on the stairs when it rains, just like he did this morning. I would also advise you to bring your own towels and pillows. They have the cheap, thin, small towels and pillows. Mehr

i had a alright time until we got put next door to some people that was complaing about our tv why would we be next to someone when we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary an wont many people was there the view was beautiful love it until the complaints they really really rueind my night i thouht about that til that next afternoon

All this hotels needs is some improvements with the way it smells and to detailed at cleaning all the rooms. That includes the vents, extreme vacuuming, whirlpool needs a deep disinfectant and pay more attention to bathrooms

I love the view from the room. It was very clean, although the rooms are not well insulated. The staff was very courteous and responded quickly to any needs that may arise. If I had to choose again I would pick this one!!!!!!

The hotel wasn't bad for the price. Right on the beach and a hot tub in the room! The only drawback was that the room reaked of smoke. We asked at the desk if they had non smoking rooms and were told that all rooms are smoking rooms. Bought a huge bottle of Febreze and it was much better.

I wish I needed to stay more than one night! I will definitely stay here again any time I'm traveling to or through Virginia!!!!

Staff was friendly upon check in and check out. Room was clean, was on 2ndhotels floor from top and view was nice, less than 15 minute walk to most beachside attractions. Enjoyed the stay.

This hotel was not worth the price. Doors needed maintenance. Very old tube style TVs and no DVD player. Remote Control did not work. The whirlpool tub was overrated and the balcony could barely fit two people. I doubt I will ever stay here again.

Beautiful view of the beach. Hotel was very clean and the staff very pleasant. I was however somewhat disappointed that my remote control didn't work. Otherwise I would recommend to others.

My first stay here a couple months ago was decent. It was basically what I expected. My most recent stay, however, was just awful. First of all, my room was not clean. There were black hairs all over the bathroom. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a good long time. Just in general, I felt pretty gross staying in this room. I kept my […] socks on while I was in the room and checked all the towels and bedding thoroughly before using them. The TV in my room was cheap and only worked half the time. They clearly don't spend a lot of money replacing items in rooms. The worst part was, they stuck me in a room next to some jerk who had his TV turned all the way up the entire time, he yelled and hollered constantly, and he slammed his door every time he walked in and out of his room and balcony. It was off-season, and there were about 6 whole cars in the parking lot, and yet they stuck me in a room right next door to someone. I had to call down to the lobby and complain about this person constantly. The second night, I was so fed up, I asked for another room, but the girl at the front desk refused to move me. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return for the "light show." We esp. enjoyed being close to Waterman's Restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel on the weekend of November 5tth. We booked the Hotel through Hotel.com with a star rating of four stars. When we arrived at the Hotel, the overall appearance and location of the Hotel looked ideal We were very excited, as we were taking a mini Honeymoon weekend after just getting married. When we entered into the room, we were […] welcomed by a distinct smokey smell of cigarrettes, of which both of us are allergic to. We contacted the Hotel staff to see if we could switch rooms because of the smell, and the employee informed us that they allow smoking in all of their rooms. The stafff did offer to have an air cleaner brought up to clean the air, of which we left for dinner and had done while we were gone. The comforter on the bed looked like it was 20 years old and very outdated. The paint in the room was peeling off the walls. We went to get ice from the ice machine on the 6th floor, and were startled to see dirt or mold particles in the actual ice cubes themselves. The bed was very uncomfortable to sleep in and the pillows were flatter then a pancake... Literally!!! We were however very impressed that the room came with an in room hot tub that overlooked the Atlantic Ocean. We were not impressed with the fact that while filling up the hot tub, we ran out of hot water and that there was no heater to keep the water warm. I would not recommend this Hotel if you are looking for a romantic getaway, as you will not enjoy your stay. Mehr

My husband and I stayed here one night for our anniversary. I read most of the reviews before hand but wanted to see for myself. Being locals we have stayed at most of the hotels on the strip. We were excited about the heart-shaped jacuzzi, and didn't think twice about the negative feedback. This was not the worst hotel at the beach, it was far from […] the best either. The staff was the best thing the hotel has to offer. Our room was outdated, smelly, and freezing cold. The jacuzzi was nice but after seeing the room I was sceptical about using it. The heat didn't work, or it hadn't been turned on yet. We woke up in an icebox. With a complete renovation this could be a nice place to stay. Until then I don't recommend this hotel for anyone. I spend three wonderful nights at Schooner Hotel. The price was incredible, the rooms are very large and comfortable. The view is outstanding! Every morning we could see the sun come up. I'm planning to comeback as soon as I can.

I have called and filed a complaint about he maintenance dept. Please see my complaint about the "LOUD" banging noise at 9:50 am which woke us up. The hotel could have waited another 1 hour or so to start the maintenance. There was no room phone so I had to use my cell phone to contact the hotel front desk and ask them to stop the "LOUD' banging noise, […] which they did. But, in any case this was not expected from a reputed hotel Mehr
