World Tour Golf Resort - Myrtle Beach

Two friends and myself stayed here the first week of March 2012. The condo was nice and the golf course was excellent. Would highly recommend this location for anyone looking to play golf in Myrtel Beach South Carolina.

what a fantastic place this was. We had a 3 bedroom villa located right on the golf course, the room was incredible and and if your a golfer this place is for you..a fantastic golf course that in my opinion is one of the finest in Myrtle beach.

I would not recommend this hotel. The room smelled musty and the carpet was stained. One morning of our stay (at 9:00am) maintenance woke us up by pounding on our door. They insisted that they needed to enter for a termite inspection. We asked them to come back later and they stated that the termite inspector was there now and they could not come back. […] There was no forewarning by management that the inspection was necessary. The room was very basic. No amenities (no hair dryer, sample shampoo or soap) The bed was also very uncomfortable. There are plenty of places to stay at Myrtle Beach. Take your money elsewhere! Mehr

The condo was very roomy and contained everything that you would need for a great stay. My only concerns were not having an elevador and we were on the third floor. For younger folks I think it would be okay but for a 62 and 68 year old it was pretty difficult getting our things up and down. Some of the furnishings were either broken or not completely […] put together and the dishwasher needed updating. There was no kitchen dish towels or rags. A little better organization would have helped. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. Mehr

Just a few minutes from the main activities. Quiet. Beautiful golf views. No other amenities for kids, so best for adults & golfers. Units are individually owned so amenities, furnishings and internet will vary by room. Example: We did not have wireless internet; very small TVs in bedrooms; no hair dryers; no shampoo, etc., just basic supplies. Not […] a big deal but it would have been nice to know in advance. IMPORTANT NOTE: The address listed is for the GOLF CLUBHOUSE... NOT where you check in! The check-in is about 1.3 miles before you get to the clubhouse. Look for the BEACH VACATIONS office at 590 River Oaks Drive. We were there Thanksgiving Week and they closed at 5:00 pm, so if you arrive late, they have a lock box for the keys. Mehr

Upon arrival, found two dead cockroaches. Rusty spatulas to use in the kitchen. King bed was two twin beds pushed together that are in dire need of replacing. The queen/full sz bed was also in need of replacing. Very rude staff at check-out. Don't bother. Also check-in is about a mile or two down the road, not at the actual facility.

This is not a hotel, and it was our first stay in a condo. The advertised "King" bed was actually two twins pushed together (separate sheets, etc.) Not comfortable at all! No directions were given for late arrival. We didn't know there was a real estate office that had the keys and they were not open at 11:30 p.m. If we had known about the process in […] advance, we would not have had any problems. As it was, we found someone walking around the complex and they pointed us in the right direction. Blinds in the bedroom would not close properly, so you had to dress in the bathroom. The hotel was awsome! The location was perfect, we had a second floor room over looking the golf course. It really is a beautiful area. We could not believe how big the room was. Three bedrooms, full kitchen, three bathrooms and a washer and dryer.Beautiful place!!! My two issues are; no WiFi and the master bed was not comfortable.

The condo was roomy and clean but had a bit to be desired in decoration. Very plain but the condo was clean and the location was good and accesible to major areas. Did not provide any extras. No blow dryer, tissues, shampoo like most hotels. The soap looked like it was around for quite some time, bring your own. But for the price, I would consider going […] again. Mehr

This was a beautiful, well maintained facility. My family's vacation was definitely enhanced by the wonderful accommodations at the World Tour Golf Resort. The only problem we had was the bath tubs drained very slowly. Other than that, everything was wonderful. We will definitely stay at the facility again.

We had a 2 BR condo that was very roomy and modern but there were stains on the carpet that I was able to get out on my own because the rental office stated that there was nothing they could do. It would have been nice to know that we needed to pick up the keys from a rental office located about a quarter mile from the actual resort. We found this out […] from another tourist from Canada at the golf course who was friendlier than the person who checked us in! Because the units are privately owned, what you see is what you get. In other words you, will have to supply most of the toiletries, dish detergent, washing powder, coffee, etc. The only things supplied are a limited supply of towels and wash cloths, pots, pans, dishes, etc. There is NO HOUSEKEEPING! There was a washer/dryer, full kitchen which was very nice. Most of the reviews about the hardness of the beds are correct but I like a firm bed. (Yes, the king bed is 2 full beds pushed together). The only concerning thing about the room was a faulty electircal outlet we discovered smoking while vaccuming. This could have been a disaster if we had used that outlet to charge something over night When I reported it at check out, they did not even apoligize but stated that they would have it checked out. The resort was only about 3 miles from the beach and close to most other sights like Broadway at the Beach so this was great. I would definitley stay here again now that I know what to expect but next time I will insist on being moved to another room with clean carpets and check all electrical outlets! Mehr

Our condo was absolutely beautiful and spacious. The view of the golf course was gorgeous. It was a little confusing, because we arrived after hours. The rental office is actually down the street with the keys in a lock box. I was not provided this information before my stay. I was very relieved when we finally got our keys, and were able to go inside […] our condo. The only other thing that was very irritating was that our check out time was 10am. The family who owned the condo was actually there at 9am to clean. We were not all the way out yet, but we had these strangers watching us load our car. Best bang for your buck. Conveniently located between the beach and the other attractions and the airport. lots of space. Only downside were the picnic ants that came out after we went food shopping. But a few ant traps and we were good( seems to be a general nuisance of the area) King side bed is acutally two twins stuck together-really? Otherwise […] we enjoyed it and would stay again. Mehr

Was very nice. Only issue was I ordered a 3 bedroom unit and got a 2 bedroom one. They said the 3 five bedroom units were full. They did make up for it but giving us another hotel like unit to accomidate us. Seems like the integration between hotels.com and the rental company could be improved.

We had a great stay at our location and will stay there again if at all possible and a vacancy is available on our next trip to Myrtle beach. The ladies at the check in desk were very nice and pleasant to deal with. The condo was a very nice change from the normal rooms you get on the beach front, Included a full kitchen and the pool was very nice  […] also. Mehr

Hi thanks for having us at the last minute. My family and I were so impressed with the condo and the elegance of it. Everyone had there own space and we were very comfortable.. The only complaint I have is next time in the master suite put a king size bed and not two twin beds pushed together. Keep up the good work.

My family and I recently stayed at the World Tour Golf Resort and could not have been more satisfied. The Location is great not on the beach but close enough to get there in a matter of minutes. The location is right on the golf course and it provided a great view early in the morning. The place was clean, there are some scratches on the walls but […] I was told they will be painting them in the near future. when I arrived it appeared that the master bed linen had not been changed, but a phone call took care of that in a matter of minutes. It was clean, safe and spacious with a great view...I will stay here again Mehr

The room was very accommodating. It was clean and had plenty of space. This was a condo that could easily sleep six people. It was on the golf course so when you go out on the balcony, a perfect view of the fairway was visible along with a small water pond and fountain. It was only a few minutes from the beach and even closer to the shopping outlets […] so location was nice. I would definitely recommend this condo. Mehr

When booking this you should know it is not a hotel it is an apartment complex you are renting from a realty office you have to go to realty office to check in and it tells you that nowhere really enjoyed my stay but getting the keys from lock box was pain in the rear would have been nice if more info about this was on here

Very nice resort and golf course but the management sould be more attention to the cleaniness of the villas, carpets not clean, bathroom dirty.

The stay was less than pleasant. I am allergic to smoke and requested a non-smoking place to stay. The unit smelled of smoke the moment I entered the room. The towels smelled of smoke and the vanity in the bathroom had cigarette burns on it. The kitchen did not have a dish rag or a sponge to clean up spills. The worst experience was when I went to the […] location listed: 2000 World Tour Boulevard. I was informed by the shop attendent that the sign in house was back up the road. He was very offensive when he went to the door to point in the direction of the sign in office. There was a Budweiser beer bottle in the planter out front and he stated "I will even get rid of your beer bottle". I nor my husband drink or smoke. It would be much easier if the correct address is listed in your ads so that decent people is not subjected to insensitive individuals. Finally, the unit was not wifi-accessible. Mehr

The beds very very uncomfortable....other wish the room was nice.

Stayed at Grand Villas in Myrtle Beach, great area, quiet,convient,neatly kept.Resturants and activities near by were great will return soon.

The area was nice if you're in to golf, but the condo itself is in an apartment complex where people live full time and are not that excited to have people walking around for a couple of days. The bedding and furniture were the cheapest I've ever seen in a hotel environment and the furniture was dirty. I would compare is to a Motel 6 with a living  […] room. Mehr

The condo was very clean and well maintained. Granted, not on the beach, but would much rather stay here in the future than in a motel room.

Our stay was very comfortable - all the perks that we could have ever ask for - located very close to shopping, grocey stores - great view - very safe feeling and quiet.

I would recommend this studio/condo to anyone that ever comes across the Grande Villas. As soon as we got into our room, it was cool, and very comfortable to be in. It was a great room for the money...My wife and I loved the area we were in because it was quiet. There was no constant noise at any time of the day...it was'nt to far from downtown, or […] the beach...All together it was a great place...and would recommend it to anyone! Mehr
