Le Meridien Arlington - Arlington

Ein etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt gelegenes Hotel (6 Metro-Stationen von der Union-Station). Komfortables Zimmer mit schöner Einrichtung. Man findet in der Umgebung alles was man braucht. Einziger Haken ist die Nähe zum Reagan-Airport, d.h. man hört Fluglärm. Geheimtipp: das Fitnesscenter ist riesig und sehr modern.

Checked in late after a bad experience at another hotel. Front desk was outstanding. Room was perfect. Valet was quick, hotel condition great! I had stayed here last year when it was Palomar. Le Meridien is a step up in service. Excellent stay! Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel in a great location convenient to metro, Georgetown and major DC sights. I was upgraded to a room with a nice view of the Potomac and Georgetown. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was the noise from other rooms.

We enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be friendly, professional and informative. We would definitely stay there again.

Clean rooms, good service, close to the metro and I highly recommend it.

Great place to stay and the rates are fantastic for a great hotel. I'll try to stay here next time. Just a block from the DC Metro Rosslyn station.

Pretty good - would stay again if same competitive price. Feels cozy and 'secluded' once I figured out the 2-elevator entry from the Metro. Maybe remind guests of that, it took me 10mins of walking to get out of the building the first morning. Separately sheets were a little coarse threaded not quite as soft.

Employees were very friendly, food was good at the Restaurant, scenic deck. Executive suite was very nice, Great Experience

Le Meridien is a beautiful hotel and very convenient to the Metro! It is very quiet and lovely and the rooms are huge. The staff is so sweet. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Washington DC or the surrounding areas!

I enjoyed the hotel..room..very clean and well maintained..Did not like the cost of valet..too expensive...over priced... Pleased but at same time hole in pocket due to valet cost.. The DC traveler

Room was very clean, many amenities, great location in relation to Georgetown.

Attached to the Waterview conference center. so a great choice if attending an event there. Nicely appointed, two blocks from Metro stop, modern, well kept rooms and common space. Did not eat at the restaurant, did not use the in-room mini-bar.

The location of the hotel was perfect for access to inexpensive breakfast and dinner as well as the metro. Also it was just across the bridge from Georgetown so a perfect walk home after dinner with views of the Washington Monument lit up. The staff was great. Very helpful, friendly. It is not a "kids" hotel, it is quiet, no pool or activities. Perfect […] for us, two couples traveling without kids. The breakfast at the hotel was over priced but Cosi was just accross the street. WIFI was still free when we were there but were told that was probably changing, I think that is a mistake by the hotel. Mehr

Great location to see DC. Walking distance to Georgetown and Arlington. Short, cheap subway ride to DC. Good food around. Very nice hotel at fraction of staying in the city.

The hotel is in transistion from a Kimpton to a Le Meridien. Same hotel, but the staff is in transistion, so the front desk could not answer a couple of questions. I missed having my wi-fi for free. The porter was a bit lax in getting taxis. And the coffee shop staff was not as buttoned up as usual. Still, when I asked to change rooms, the front desk […] handled this quickly and efficiently. No complaints. Clean room. Fair room rate,. Classy place. The Metro station is very close but you have to go down a really steep escalator. Consider the elevator across the street from the station if this is a problem for you. There were some homeless people at the Metro station late at night, but didn't cause me any problems. The hotel always seems […] to have taxis or a car service at the hotel so if you don't mind spending for this you will never run into them. There are lots of restaurants nearby to eat at. A McDonald's is situated between the hotel and the Metro station. The room doesn't include wireless but they give you this for free in the lounge area. Mehr

... but boring location. Modern design looked good. Double queen bed room was a little tight. One of the beds was not very supportive on one side and dipped when you laid on it. Chalk it up to bad luck, but shouldn't have to deal with this at 4 star place. I would still stay again though.

Pros: newish, nicely appointed, convenient location, good price. Cons: small room, tiny bathroom (shower only), worn towels.

Palomar was very modern. The finishes were nice, and the place was quite elegant. Staff was accommodating and friendly. My only complaint is the mattress. Not the most comfortable, but I would return.

We enjoyed the hotel. Valet parked our car and on our overnight stay basically parked for two days for the price of one and avoided trying to find parking while touring DC. Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous modern decor. Convienent location, just a block from Rosslyn metro stop. My favorite place to stay when visiting the city. I've stayed here 3 or 4 times and have no intentions of staying anywhere else. Had a massage from the spa services this visit...Best massage I've ever had in my life!

Very good spot, very good hotel.. but most of all, very good people. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable beyond our expectations.

My wife and I have been going to this area for the last 3 years. We have stayed in several hotels in the area and this is the best hotel in the area. It fits our lifestyle in the sense that it filled with modern furniture. Nice decor, etc. The people are very friendly and we enjoyed the close access to Georgetown and Clarendon. We like to walk so we […] walked to all the local areas. The hotel has great food and they also do courtesy wine (evening) tea & coffee (morning). The main thing is that it is clean! I have stayed at the Palomar several times. It is a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The accommodation cost is very fair for what you receive. I would stay there again when I visit Arlington.

Arrived late (9 pm). The self park was closed. Even with the high price of the room, got stuck with a $30 overnight valet parking fee.

My husband and I were there to celebrate our anniversary. I decided at the last minute to choose this hotel over another hotel nearby. I was very happy with my decision. We wanted to have easy access to DC and I wanted the romantic feel for the weekend. It all worked out great because the Metro is a block or so away. I paid quite a bit more, but I was […] willing to pay for the floor to ceiling windows with the water view. Parking was pretty cheap for the weekend with in and out privileges. The suite was very spacious. We were able to entertain another couple comfortably before heading to dinner. The iPod dock and DVD players in each room were perfect, and the Jacuzzi tub was a great addition! The decor had an upscale feel, and the service was very commendable. There is one thing to beware of...there are many dog lovers out there and they do take advantage of the pets allowed policy. That was not a problem for us. We would definitely go back again, and would recommend this hotel to other couples. Mehr

I travel a great deal and have stayed in some nice hotels all over the globe. The Palomar is easily amongst the top of the list.

This is one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in................the walking distance to Georgetown was a plus. I would definitely stay in a Palomar again.

I had heard SO MUCH about these Kimpton hotels. I was a little underwhelmed, per my stay. It was average room, decent... no REAL bells or whistles :(

This was an absolutely FANTASTIC hotel. I was there for a romantic getaway. I think if you were there on business or leisure you would find it as good. I'd be a bit cautious if you were going with young, energetic kids. This might not be the best place for them. Very modern, updated decor throughout. The bedding is great - I'm considering calling them […] to find out where they get their duvet's and pillows :). I had called in advance to let them know we are coming to celebrate an anniversary. They were great about it, very kind and made sure we had the best possible room they could give us. When I arrived I wanted to setup roses for my wife in the room. They were very prompt in finding me a vase and then bringing it to my room. The only downside as many have commented on already is the steep parking charges. It is lower on weekends ($18 as opposed to $30), which is a bit more palatable. The parking staff, though, are very thoughtful and as pleasant as everyone else. Mehr

Beautiful hotel- stylish interior design and mostly friendly staff. Only had two problems while there. First was a problem with the a/c unit. We got hot in the middle of the night so turned the temperature on the uint down. Woke up again to realize it was not blowing cold air at all. When we reported the problem then next morning to hotel staff we were […] informed that the unit automatically turns itself off if you take the temperature all the way down. Didn't quite understand that. The other negative was we were attending a funeral at Arlington and when we went out to get a cab, the "house car" driver offered to take us there for $20. Thankfully I knew the cemetary was only 1.5 miles away and declined. Got a regular cab and made it there foraround 7 bucks. Disappointed he tried to overcharge so much and going to a funeral at that... But overall as I said I really enjoyed the hotel. Felt very new and comfortable. This is a wonderful hotel if you are visiting a student at Georgetown University. The rooms are clean and well apportioned. The service is first-class. And the distance to the campus is an easy walk - except for climbing the Exorcist Stairs. I highly recommend it.

I ordered room service little before 11PM on Saturday night.. for 2 beer & cheese plate. they call little after midnight saying they can't serve alcohol after midnight so I'll have to drink from mini bar. even though they were calling more than an hour after I ordered, I was in good mood so I said okay. 20 mins later they brought my cheese plate. after […] the server was gone, I opened to see disgusting plate of cheese!!! $15 cheese plate... that's on the menu has 2 different type of cheed.. cubed.. and it looked like somebody bit off all the cheese and just through it on the plate!!!!!! ewwwwwwwwwwww gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I complained and they didn't charge me for it but I expected more from Kimpton hotel!!!! I usually look for Kimpton hotels to stay.. and I was so disappointed!!!! Mehr

Great experience - The Palomar in Arlington Virginia was a comfortable, contemporary-styled base for our touring adventure. Housekeeping was exceptional (and I am rather obsessive regarding such). The room was amply spaced and the higher level views are interesting. The on-property bar is active and has a pleasant outside lounge area. The hotel is within very reasonable walking distance to Georgetown - with shopping and dining options. I just had a quick overnight stay when I wasn't feeling well enough to get on my bus back to New York, and I probably got the lowest room in the place for my Hotels dot com discount. But from the moment I arrived, I knew this hotel was different. Three things: Service, location and design. The staff there were unbelievably competent and professional. […] The location was right next to where my bus (Vamoose) took off the next morning, and convenient to Rosslyn's stores and D.C. by just one stop on the Metro. And the design was breathtaking -- especially the attention to lighting. Clean doesn't even begin to cover it. However, I wrestled with the possibility of only four stars, because my bed, initially terrific, felt increasingly bad as the night wore on. It even felt uneven, like a peak in the middle and falling off at the sides. The hotel had signs apologizing for its renovations (I didn't really notice a mess), but one thing I hope it includes is new mattresses. Mattresses are basic! Another thing that could be better is the room service menu. Insulting tacked-on charges, when you're paying for a first-class hotel in the first place. They promise 24 hours, and you get that -- but different options at different times, not always good ones. And I think the clientele that this hotel serves -- State Department personnel and business travelers rather than three-star people like me -- are going to want more than a 6:30 start on the breakfast buffet or room service breakfast options. Consider the possibility of food allergies and dietary restrictions -- simple food is best, but the options there are pretty standard and boring, laden with cheese and cream and other things. A very convenient location for Georgetown and Arlington and a pleasant hotel.

This hotel location provides easy and simple acces via the Metro system to Washington DC. In addition you can walk to Georgetown with all its restaurants and food offerings. Very friendly and helpful service and extremely good value for the money.
