Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 14. Jan. 2013Ich war sehr angenehm überrascht. Wer nicht unbedingt einen Meerblick braucht ist in diesem Hotel bestens aufgehoben! Zimmer viel schöner und viel sauberer als in umliegenden Anlagen in der gleichen Preiskategorie. Die Berwertung "unfreundliches Personal", kann ich nicht teilen, es waren alle freundlich zu mir und es gab sogar ein Anruf der Rezeption, ca. 1 std. nach dem Check-In, ob alles in Ordnung sei und ich noch etwas brauchen würde. Bett war bequem und es war alles sauber. Außerdem gibt es einen großen Safe, was nicht in allen günstigen Hotels Standard ist.

Super 8 Motel - Galveston
"Low Budget mit Komfort"
Bewertet von Tim S aus "Hamburg, Deutschland" am 10. Mrz. 2012Das Super 8 ist dem Preis angemessen. Es ist relativ sauber und hat alles was man braucht für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Wer es lieber etwas ruhiger mag und z.b. Rückenschmerzen bekommt wenn er/sie mal auf einem nicht so guten Bett schläft, der sollte lieber ein höherwertiges Hotel buchen. Im großen und ganzen bin ich jedoch zufrieden gewesen. Der Abfluss am Waschbecken hat manchmal getropft, so dass eine kleine Pfütze darunter entstanden ist und 1 Kopfkissen war nicht richtig sauber. Außerdem waren die Nachbarn über mir sehr laut und haben ziemlich lautstark getramppelt (spät Nachts und morgens früh). Dies sind aber alles kleinigkeiten, die man in so einem Low-Budget Haus in kauf nehmen muss. Für 1-2 Nächte durchaus empfehlenswert, ich werde es jedoch nicht wieder buchen, da gebe ich lieber 10-20 Euro mehr aus und habe einen höheren Standart.

We got there late after work and feel like we were given the last second corner room on the first floor with a weird lay out but the bed was comfy and room was fine. Location is not great though. The lady who checked us in was most knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We ended up losing a small coin purse that held camera batteries, and, when we called to inquire, Irene, the Asst Gen Mgr, took the time to email us a picture of a found item that match our description, and it was our missing coin purse - Irene took care to mail the purse to us, […] and we are most grateful for its return and for the the most gracious and comfortable stay at this hotel - we will definitely stay here again when our travels take us to Galveston. Upon arrival, we noticed a used q-tip stuck to our hotel door. It was disgusting. The staff removed it immediately. The bathrooms were clean but extremely old. My family and I stayed here for one night before our cruise the next day. We found the hotel having basic amenities and friendly staff. It was clean, but there were definitely some things that could have been updated. Overall, my hotel stay was good. The hotel staff was great and they must have an excellent customer service program. Unfortunately, my room (#115) was located next to some rather big air conditioning units and I was faced with constant noise from those units. At least I think that was where the noise came from. At times it sounded like pressurized water […] gushing through some big pipes. Other than that, I imagine that a room at a different part of the hotel would have been great. We take a family trip to Galveston every year. We decided to get an extra day in but the resort we booked could not get us in for the additional night so I booked online at the Spring Hill Suites. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the hotel was and the staff was great. It was a little far from sea wall blvd and our favorite restaurants. We were […] a little disappointed that there was no outdoor pool with amenities. That might have made up for being far from the sight. But, if you are visiting Moody or Schlitterbahn it would be great location for you. My son enjoyed making his own waffle in the morning but stay away from the "egg patties"!! "Good with a few annoyances"
We asked for a crib to be setup in our room and it was a portable crib, which was fine. The problem was the portable crib was unstable and unsafe. Luckily we brought our own. The TV was centered between the 2 halves of the room which was strange but the main problem was that the TV was loose on the stand and unstable. The staff was very courteous […] and professional. The hotel and the room was clean. The noise was higher than expected between rooms and between the room and hall. The breakfast was pretty good for being free and included 2 waffle makers, eggs, sausage, fruit, etc. The pool was way over-chlorinated and small. I was pleasantly surprised with our room. It was nicer than I expected and set up very comfortable. The set up worked perfect for my me, my husband, and 2 year old. We were able to dim the lights and put her to sleep in a bed while we sat in the small living area behind a partial wall to stay up & watch tv. It's just like the classic springhill suites, if you've been to one of them in other city, you can expect what you'll get. In addition, you can have the bay view! You can find out the building itself is a bit old, but they must have a remodeling recently, all the furniture/equipment are in good condition.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung

Overall it was a good stay. We brought our children (3 & 2) and there were no tv channels for them to watch. I know it is a family get away, but kids that age get bored very easily. Breakfast area was also crowded. Made it difficult to get food. The rooms were very nice and clean and the staff was super friendly.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

We were in town for a wedding & just needed somewhere to crash, too late to drive back to Houston. It was fine for that. It's right at the point where I-45 south becomes "Broadway" in Galveston, so there is highway noise.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

"Great stay in Galveston before a Carnival cruise!!"
Good hotel. We were going on a cruise and stayed two nights before getting on the ship. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was great having the indoor swimming pool and hot tub because it was raining the first day of our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone and we would stay again.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung
