Sunstays Lagoon Beach - Kapstadt

We arrived at the facility around 18h00 on friday 9/7/2011 . We tried to shower and discovered that the hot water was switched off at the main electric board in thr room . Called reception and was advised that it would take approx 30 mins . 1 hour later we still had no hot water . We left at 20h30 without the offer of another room .

Stayed at this facility many times very good srvice and excellect location

This hotel was disappointing - dingy and not worthy of 4 stars.

We arrived super early and checked in at 10am. The staff were helpful and sorted our room in under 20 minutes. The2bedroomed roomy self catering apartment is excellent value and has all amenities. A flatscreen tv would have been a plus as the tv was a little dated. We got a great beach/lagoon view. The hotel was previously an apartment complex and it is now similar to our timeshare facilities. The hallways were loud and without opening the door to the balcony and windows to the hallway there was no breeze (and it is not air conditioned). The view from the balcony was awesome (sea side). The towels were dingy and placed on the towel racks with […] no style (folded in the middle and no attention to detail). There were no washcloths. The TV was very outdated and it took several trials and errors to get the TV to work. The curtains to the balcony were ripped and dirty. The tub had hairs in it. The blankets were nasty in appearance - very worn. The light in the kitchen did not work (probably only needed a bulb). The elevator doors had fingerprints all over them and looked as though they had not been cleaned in months. There was no water pressure if you took a shower after 7:00 AM. The manager took our complaints and the next day the room was very clean. I wrote on their critique sheet that this could be a nice place if they would pay attention to detail. Little things like cleaning the elevator doors and placing the towels on the racks neatly and not letting the entire staff hang out in the hotel office after duty hours. We were extremely disappointed but made the best of it as changing hotels at such a late date would have been too costly and possibly too hard to locate. Mehr

A wonderful apartment with a well appointed kitchen and a view over lagoon beach that was wonderful. Feels very safe and secure and even at full price would have been excellent value. Handy for the highway - quickly into the V and A and a few seconds walk from the beach - which is security patrolled. Helpful staff. One minor problem (which was immediately […] fixed) - they didn't realise it was prepaid, but that's a small matter of staff training. Simple parking - supermarkets close at hand for those wanting to self cater, and reasonable restaurants a short walk away. Mehr

Une chambre très spacieuse avec possibilité de se faire à manger. Vu incroyable sur l'océan. Très calme. Toutefois la cuisine n'avait pas été vraiment nettoyée.

INTET i vejen med hotellet. Derimod viste det sig, at min bestilling og betaling via Hotels.com var ukendt for dem. Dette til trods for, at bestillingen var ca. 4 mdr. gammel. På hotellet, hvor de kunne se min udskrift, accepterede man min oversættelse af udskriftet og sagde, at det ikke skulle være mit problem. Den sag ville de selv klare med Hote […] ls.com. Hôtel bien situé, en bord de plage et non loin des principaux sites, quartier calme, mis à part quelques désagréments concernant une des 2 chambres dans l'appartement cités plus haut.

Bon emplacement proche du quartier sympa; Sécurité assurée par vigile et caméra Parking sécurisé Piscine sur le toit sympa Appartement avec vraie cuisine équipé
