Das gebuchte Doppelzimmer war für den Preis eindeutig zu klein. Ein Wechsel auf ein Doppelzimmer in Normalgröße war erst nach 2 Nächten möglich. Das Hotel ist o.k., sauber, leicht abgenützt, gute Lage, guter Preis, aber: man spürt jede Metrodurchfahrt in der Tiefe als kurzes Erdbeben. (ca. alle 5 Min. für 10 sec). Von 24 h bis 5.30 h ist Ruhe.

Hotel is within walking distance the ocean and the main shopping area "La Rampla" dont miss. Hotel staff spoke english and very helpful.

Good quality hotel. Good value for money, nothing too fancy, but everything you need. Location is about 10 minute stroll to the Rambla, and lots of great bars and cafes in the vacinity. The staff were helpful. We were originally placed in one of the 'internal' rooms with only a window into the central atrium. One quick request later and we were in a […] lovely room at the front with a nice little balcony overlooking the town. I couldn't get my phone to connect to the free wifi, but we used the free computer in the lobby instead. Bed was a little on the hard side, but OK. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. We stayed 3 nights and had 3 rooms!! The first was a bit on the small side but comfortable enough. We were told it could be noisy but it wasn't. Next 2 rooms were smashing. Only complaint is the size of the bed. I'm 6 foot and if I stretched out I was hanging out of the bed.

Great hotel, good location and very well presented. It was a good choice for me as it made my life easy in barcelona to travel around, as it is within distance from the metro and the shopping street 'la ronda'. The best of all were the staff at the hotel who I found very hospitable. the likes of Gennaro, Vanessa and Alex at the reception were amazing […] people to meet. The only thing missing from the hotel is that we (from US) can't charge electronics. They don't have an adapter too. So be prepared.

great hotel, great location, clean, great price.

The hotel is nice, near the catalunya place and the ramblas. The rooms are confortable and the price is nice too.

Spacious rooms (3 of us were sharing) in a quiet hotel just minutes fom the main tourist areas of Barcelona. Ideal for a weekend break as the hotel is well served by public transport links.

We enjoyed our visit to Barcelona. The location of Gran Ronda is very convenient to La Rambla, Metro station, business and the Hop on Hop off Bus stop. Hector and Cristina ,at the reception desk, were very kind and helpful. Both provided us with lot of information about the city. Thank you a lot Hector and Cristina. God bless you.

Great location - near to La Rambla and large metro station - placa universidad where you can easily travel on the metro to reach many of the sights. Hotel room was clean but fairly small - limited space for two people plus luggage! Staff were helpful with any questions we had. If you are looking for a good view though this hotel is not ideal. But […] if you are looking for a nice, simple, clean hotel as a base from which to explore Barcelona then I would definately recommend it. Mehr

I stayed at this hotel for 1 week in July. the hotel in an amazing location and the price is pretty good considering the location and amenities. The service was also very good. the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The only negative comments I have are regarding the bed.. it is one the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in. And also the rooms […] have no sound isolation at all. You can hear all the neighboring rooms, elevators and the passing trains underground. I did not get very good night sleeps in this hotel. But the location was worth it for me. I had access to everything from there. Mehr

Gran Ronda is in a very convienient location near Las Ramblas and Catalunya. It is 2 blocks from the aeroport bus line (Universitat). The location is the best feature of the hotel adn is why we chose this hotel. Our room was small, and the balcony view was okay (just looks out into the trees on the street). The bathroom was in need of updates. Broken […] door, shower head piece was broken, rusted, a bit moldy in the corners and the sink are had no space for anything! Towels were sometime very thin and worn out. Sink faucet was a little rusty. The hotel rooms need updates and really are not worth the money you pay. Overall, it was clean, but looked worn out. The subway line goes right by the hotel and can be hear every few minutes thru out the day. It gets a little annoying. The area is loud with a lot of noise coming from the streets (its part of the location). We did not spent a lot of time in the room, so it was okay for us. The room is on the cheaper end of Barcelona hotel rates, which made it attractive to us. You get what you pay for, that is just a room you can sleep in. Staff were willing to help, but we had to ask a lot of questions to get information. They didn't offer any suggestions or advice, nor did they have a lot of interest in your questions. They were professional, but not necessary welcoming. I would look for a different hotel to stay in next trip (note we stayed in the suburbs close to the beach, which was a much better hotel). Think about staying off the beaten path in a quieter/cheaper part of town and utilize the metro to get to the tourist destinations. Mehr

Room was a handicapped room. So not 2 beds that we reserved and no rug. They said we would be moved the next day. Subway goes under hotel at least every 2 to 3 minutes. Bathroom water ran into bedroom because of handicapped shower. Next day they said all they had was a smoking room. We said we were promised a non smoking room that day. With 2 beds. […] Not available. we went to another hotel. Mehr

Our room was a bit small, but comfortable. There were no English-speaking television channels. Breakfast was excellent - hot and cold foods, fresh-squeezed orange juice, great coffee. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Restaurants were plentiful in the area, and 2 blocks from Catalonia Plaza. Metro station was 1 block away. I would recommend […] and stay there again. The room was very clean, albeit a bit worn. The laminate molding in one spot was pulled away from the wooden base. The refrigerator mini bar was stocked , allowing only room for one or two cans of soda pop. The location was perfect, within 10-15 minutes walk to everything in Las Ramblas and most in Exiample.The Universitat Metro stop was a short block […] away, and the express Aeroport bus made a stop about 2 blocks away. In case you do not speak Spanish, the front desk staff spoke many languages including English, Italian, but the TV carried mostly Spanish stations with the exception of SAT1 (German) and SkyNews (English) Mehr

This centrally located Barcelona hotel is clean and modern with hardwood floors. our room was quiet with comfortable beds. Gran Ronda is within walking distance of Familia Sagrada and the magic fountain. We walked everywhere, even at night and felt safe. We were generally satisfied with the Hotel. The room had everything we needed (bed, closet, desk, chair, tv, minibar, aircon, bathroom with toilette + zink + shower/bathtub). There were a few things broken (the shower hose couldn't hang, the foot pedal for the trash can in the bathroom didn't work, the wooden floor in the room had many deep scratches […] as if heavy furnitures had been mooved around) but it didn't bother us. The view from our room was not nice (old apartment buildings), but this is how most of Barcelona looks. The location of the Hotel was good; right next to the 'Universitat' metrostation. We did not have breakfast included in the price, but ended up eating breakfast there anyway. It should be noted that the extra price for the breakfast was quite high compaired to what you get. The breakfast buffet contains really white and semi white toast bread (thus if you need healthy bread it is not possible); white buns; crossaints; a few other types of pastry; slices of yellow cheese (one of the days there was also brie); slices of ham; strawberry jam; butter; honey; scrambled egg; bacon; yoghurt; one kind of fruit that has been cut out for you (eg. water melon), a few whole fruits (eg. apple, kiwi); corn flakes; müesli; three kinds of juice, water, tee and coffee from a coffee machine (you choose yourself by pressing eg. 'americano'). It is possible to find breakfast in other places around the city, but we both get a bit grumpy if we do not get food soon after being awake, and we did not find any breakfast places close to the Hotel. We had a good stay in Barcelona and visited some good restaurants which we had read about before we came to the city. On our last evening we had lost our list of recommended restaurants and thus decided to ask the hotel receptionist if he could maybe recommend any restaurants. We ended up regretting this. He obviously had some kind of deal with one of the overpriced tourist fish restaurants at the port. So the take home message her Mehr

The entrance of the hotel is not really BIG and easily to be missed but the location is great, just need to walk 10 mins to arrive La Rambla. I stayed on the first floor with small balcony but it is quiet noisy especially in the morning and evening time. The room size is just fit but is very clean and neat. For the bathroom, I am not sure if I have […] missed out something but there is no shampoo/ Conditioner container inside the shower panels, so I need to open the panels on and off during shower time to get my shampoo/ conditioners and bath lotions. I was very happy with this hotel. It was in a great location within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The street was quiet as was the hotel so we slept well. The staff at the front desk was helpful and although the room was smallish it was adequate. We didn't have internet for a couple of days but there was a spot around the corner from […] the hotel which we used until the problem was fixed. I would not hesitate to stay there again on my next visit to Barcelona. Mehr

Hotel is within easy walking of Placa Catalonya, La Rambla, and other high points. Our room had balcony, which was important for ventilation (I think room an interior would have been a bit stuffy). Room was clean and comfortable with small refrigerator and in-room safe. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we were quite satisfied.

Great hotel. Prime location, just 5 mins from the top of La Rambla you are right in the centre of Barcelona's old town. The hotel staff are friendly and approachable with very good English. The rooms are very clean and simple with a stylish decor, air-conditioned and are cleaned every day. Each room has a safe and when you check out of the hotel, they […] willl store your bags in a safe location for you to pick up until you leave. Hotelli sijaitsee hyvässä paikassa lähelllä oikeastaan kaikkea. Samalla kadulla aivan vierssä on mainio panimoravintola, joka kannattaa käydä kokeilemassa. Hotellia en sen sijaan voi suositella, ellei sitten pidä minikoon koleasta huoneesta tympeällä näköalalla.

Estoy acostumbrado a contratar la abitacion y en ella siempre en el paquete entra el desayuno por lo que al finalizar mi estancia me lleve la sorpresa de que querian cargarme dos desayunos mas de los consumidos se reconocio el error y tuve que abonar los desayunos sin esperarlo me parecio caro, en cuanto la estancia me parece que por lo que pague por […] la abitacion esta bien. Hotel 3 stelle decorosissimo, camere pulite, riscaldamento perfetto, personale cordiale e disponibile. Perfettamente ubicato e vicino a luoghi di interesse. Spero di tornare presto a Barcellona e non ho dubbi di tornare al Gran Ronda.

nous avons passé un tres bon séjour a barcelone mais nous avons dû demander un changement de chambre : nous avions réservé une chambre double pour un couple et à notre arrivée nous avons eu pour la première nuit une petite chambre donnant sur cour intérieure, sans possibilité d'ouvrir une fenêtre avec un petit lit de 120 contre le mur 1 seul oreiller.... […] en insistant, avons pu obtenir le lendemain une vraie chambre double correspondant aux photos avec porte fenêtre et balcon donnant sur l'ave SAN ANTONI. personnel accueillant et hotel très bien situé à 10 mn à pied de la place catalunya Mehr

Bra hotell i lite lugnare område med några minuters promenad till La Rambla. Metro vid Universitetet på stenkast avstånd. Välj inte rum inåt ljusgården om du vill ha sol och ljus. Bra och lugnt inåt gården. Lite mer stadspuls mot gatan.

The rooms are OK (don't expect too much), but good enough for a place to sleep. You probably would want to spend most of your time out of the hotel anyway. The location of the hotel is excellent, with just a short stroll away from La Rambla.

Hotel très bien situé à 8 min à pieds de la Rambla, tout près du quartier eixample, juste un peu loin de la plage mais bon on se ballade on est en vacances (45 min). j'y retournerai sans problème!!

Perfekt prisvärt hotell för ungdomar som gärna har nära till shopping och uteliv. Enda nackdelen är att det är en bit till stranden men så länge inte taxipriserna stigit till skyarna så åker man billigt med taxi dit. Får man som jag under min vistelse ett rum på första våningen så hör man tunnelbanan under men det är inget som stör i längden. För […] rökare som mig själv så var det perfekt att få en liten uteplats på baksidan så man slapp gå ner... detta endast möjligt på första våningen. Mehr
