Wir hatten ein Nichtraucherzimmer gebucht mit einem Queenbett und bei Buchung bereits bezahlt. Vor Ort war allerdings nur ein Raucherzimmer mit Queenbett frei. Nach kurzer Inspektion gingen wir zur Rezeption zurück, da das Zimmer unglaublich nach Rauch stank. Die ältere Dame an der Rezeption teilte uns mit dass nur Doppelzimmer mit 2 Queenbetten als Nichtraucherzimmer zur Verfügung stünden und wir dafür 10 $ + Tax extra pro Nacht zahlen müssen, was wir letztendlich auch getan haben. Uns war es das wert, dass wir aus dem verqualmten Zimmer rauskamen. Ich finde es trotzdem eine Unverschämtheit von der Dame, ich hatte ihr die Kopie der Reservierung gezeigt, wo draufsteht, dass wir ein Nichtraucherzimmer gebucht hatten. Die Lage des Motels ist recht einsam, also kein Restaurant etc. in Gehweite. Das karge Frühstück bestand aus schlechtem Kaffee, Orangensaft, Cerealien, abgepacktem Kuchen und wenn man Glück hat Bagels, Orangen und Bananen.
We were very impressed with the hotel in general from the extended time they gave us at check out due to the marathon and overall friendliness. the rooms were very spaceous and the buffet breakfast was awesome. I really liked having the laundry room as the Marriott on harbour blvd didnt have one. This is definitely a plus for me. My husband is in S.D […] twice a month on business and really noticed the convenience of where the hotel sits away from alot of traffic. "Lots of ameneties/good service"
Very quiet. Even though it was near the airport, you didn't hear the planes all night. I never sleep well in hotels unless I bring ear plugs and I forgot them and was still able to sleep well. Breakfast buffet was great. They would even get groceries for you if you needed and didn't charge a fee for that service. Our 2-brm, 2-bath suite was above our expectations. Comfortable, spacious and at a very reasonable rate. Staff was over-the-top helpful in assisting us with driving plans. Highly recommend.
"Great Stay in San Diego !"
The Homewood Suites in San Diego is highly recommended. We had a two bedroom suite. Pros: Clean , spacious, walking distance to VONS grocery store, and other restaurants, hot breakfast buffet in the morning with lots of variety, 9:30 am shuttle to trolley tours of San Diego, on river walkway, staff friendly. Cons: None

"Fabulous Stay!!!"
I stayed with my husband and 4 children in this magnificent hotel and It was really great!!! I felt relaxed and very calm. The hotel staff was great and I felt right at home. I got the full kitchen and with 4 children, it helped a lot. "Noisy hotel"
Everything about this hotel was great except for the noise you will hear. Not airplane noises but noise from footsteps, opening and closing doors or closet doors. Wall are thin too. If you have someone staying below you, they will hear you. If you are a light sleeper, you may lose some sleep.

this was our first time at Homewood Suites in San Diego and it was and excellent place to stay. Clean, good location, great service. We will definitely stay there again.

The hotel was clean and the service was friendly. The free breakfast was very popular almost too popular it was so crowded and picked over the staff was having trouble keeping up. The hotel was great. The staff were very helpful and gave great suggestions on where to go and what to do. Overall, this was a great hotel for the family. We have four kids and had to get two rooms. Although they don't have any adjoining rooms, they set us up with two rooms next to each other. Only thing I wish that there were 2 Queen beds instead of one King and sofabed (not big enough of family of 4) Besides that suite was wondeful and had all amenities you would need.

What an awesome hotel. The room was great as it had a living room, kitchen, and bedroom area. We had a room on the top floor with a great view of the San Diego skyline. There was a small balcony area with enough room for a couple of chairs. We spent a lot of time on the balcony looking over the beautifully landscaped grounds. It was very quite in comparison to some other similarly priced hotels on Shelter and Harbor Islands. It is close to the airport so you could hear a plane go over once in a while but it really was not an issue. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The daily breakfast was also very good. One of the best hotels we have stayed at, pool was great, good food close to hotel, not ffar from the city centre. The trolley tour from the hotel was great.

I highly recommend this hotel for long (3+ nights) home-away-from home vacations. It has almost everything you could possibly need to feel at home (think Time-Share kind of setting). I spent a night here for my bday with my beau. Was able to drive 3.5miles to downtown San Diego to dine and mingle with the crowds, yet have a good night's sleep and wake […] up to peace and calm. Love that! Wish I could have stayed longer. Airplane noise wasn't bad at all but the walls are indeed a little thin, and it doesn't help that the setting favors families w/kids. It was 'happy kid noise' though, not wailing and crying. The breakfast was delicious and for those reviewers who complained that the menu is monotonous... how about you pick 3 things from the menu each day and rotate them around instead of stuffing yourself on all 10 options everyday (they had yogurt, fruit, pastries, difft kinds of bread, oatmeal, cereal, waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, juice). "Family Fun at Homewood"
We loved the Homewood Suites. We vacationed with some family friends, with young children as well. The front desk made sure our rooms were near by. The location is great. Close to Seaworld and our favorite restaurant The Fish Market. Free parking, walking distance to Starbucks and other restaurants. Can't beat the free breakfast. The breakfast area […] was busy in the morning but the staff made sure everyone had a seat even opening a separate meeting room to accomodate the large crowd. We would definitely stay here again. "Great two-bedroom layout"
We've stayed here twice and it's been fantastic both times. Very roomy for the family. It has a suburban feel but is very close to both the city and Coronado Island.

"Close to airport and downtown"
Excellent value for the money. We were 4 adults and 3 kids and the accomodations and hotel staff was superb. The breakfast buffet is very nice and not the typical "skimpy" continental breakfast. Overall, I highly recommend it.

The hotel sits on what was the Naval Training Center San Diego. The USS Recruit is right next door. The hotel was convenient and very very comfy. The breakfast was pretty good as far as freebie buffets go. "Great Hotel"
This was our second visit and it was just as great as the first. The rooms are clean, new and have plenty of space for a family of five. Having a full kitchen with a refrigerator is such a nice bonus, and the hot breakfast is always awesome. One note though, the hotel did put a $100 hold on our debit card upon check in, which we were not informed of […] until we got home and noticed it when balancing the checking account. "Wonderful"
I had a two room suite. Plenty of room with TVs in each room, kitchen was nice size. No issues at all. Strongly recommend if travling with a few friends as you save money and still have privacy. Oh... and they have free and good breakfast and dinners (dinners M-Thurs only).

We were visiting SeaWorld and it was very good stay for 2 nights. Hotel is very good maintained, all appliances and facility are not cheap and look luxury.

My family of three kids (one infant) and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. If not for the busy schedules we had, we would have made good use of the really nice amenities like the pool, the grills, and the exercise room. "Great family hotel!"
Great place for a family trip. Mom & Dad in one bedroom, Grandparnets in another and the kids on the pull-out couch. Everything was CLEAN and the staff VERY friendly. Hilton thought of everything (even the child's view peep hole to the hallway!). Looking to stay next year even longer!

We really enjoyed our stay in a 2 bedroom suite. It was a great deal with weekday dinners and everyday breakfast included. Just a bit disappointed with not getting a roll away even though we requested one a week prior. We got it on the second night for the duration of our stay!
