Estelar Santamar Hotel & Centro de Convenciones - Santa Marta

I just returned from 3 days at the Hotel Estelar. Overall its a nice facility, right on the beach. The grounds are well maintained, and they have a rather good activities program. The restaurant food is good-to-very-good. My room was a nice size, though the bathroom was cramped. The air conditioning was strong, which is not a given in Colombia. Ok, […] now for my complaints. First, the bed was terrible. It was a futon and was way too firm. Both my girlfriend and I had backaches after our stay there. Secondly, the sheets were gritty, which made me wonder how long they had been on that bed. Third, there was no iron and ironing board. That is not a big deal, but when we called they first said it would be 10 minutes. After 15 minutes it had not arrived. We called again, and this time they came clean -- they didn't have enough to go around. So if you have a reservation and need to iron, I recommend getting your ironing board well in advance. Why they would go cheap on irons and ironing boards is beyond me. My final complaint is the service. While there were some nice employees, overall I noticed very few smiles, and the service felt only obligatory. In summary, there are better choices right on the beach in Santa Marta. Mehr

This beachfront hotel with a pool is very pleasant. Service personnel are all very helpful with exception of front desk. Breakfast very nice. Everything is clean.It is a conference center as well so is rented out to various groups so if teens are present, music will be played to suit them. Basically, nice place . Take taxi to La Rodadero for dinner. […] We stayed at this hotel twice. First in newer part of hotel with view of front tennis court. Second visit was in older cabana near pool alittle noisy at times . Hanging out at the beach and pool was nice with a few vendors which were registered with the hotel occasionally approaching you. Nuestras vacaciones fueron bastante satisfactorias, empleados muy amables, comida buena, las instalaciones son buenas, cómodas, seguras muy cerca a la playa, el horario para el uso de la piscina restringido y la limpieza podría mejorar.

El hotel es bastante decente aunque ya va necesitando algunas renovaciones al ser presumiblemente sus estructuras de los años 80. Por su sitacuión geográfica creo que requieren contar con más sitios de esparcimientos para ofrecer variedad: restaurants, bares, etc... Se hace muy necesario también que adquieran nuevas sillas reclinables ya que las que […] hay se ocupan luego de las 7:30am. El trato del personal fue bueno aunque debo mencionar que al llegar tuve que insistir bastante en que había hecho mi reserva por Hoteles.com, ya que la recepcionista repitió en reiteradas ocasiones (y con cierto mal humor) que tal no existía. VISITE JUNTO A MI PAREJA EL HOTEL DURANTE EL JUEVES 16 DE FEBRERO DE 2012, EN LA MADRUGADA COMO A LAS TRES DE LA MAÑANA UNOS HUESPEDES VECINOS CANTABAN Y GRITABAN IMPIDIENDO QUE SE PUDIERA DESCANZAR ADECUADAMETE, LLAME EN REPETIDAS VECES A LA RECEPCION DEL HOTEL PARA QUE CONTROLARA ESTA SITUACION, Y SOLO UNA HORA Y MEDIA Y CUATRO LLAMADAS, DESPUES LOGRARON […] CALLAR A MI VECINO; EN LA MAÑANA SALI A TOMAR EL DESAYUNO A LAS 9 AM Y CUANDO REGRESE A LA HABITACION COMO A LAS 9:20 LA CAMARERA SE HABIA LLEVADO LAS SABANAS Y LAS TOALLAS, LLAME A LA RECEPCION PARA SABER CUAL ERA LA HORA DE SALIDA , Y ME INFORMARON QUE DEBIA ENTREGAR LA HABITACION A LA UNA DE LA TARDE, POR ESO Y SABIENDO QUE TENIA EL SERVICIO PAGADO HASTA LA UNA DE LA TARDE Y NO HASTA LAS NUEVE, SOLICITE QUE ME VOLVIERAN A HACER EL CUARTO, Y QUE ME MANDARAN LAS TOALLAS, PUES NECESITABA BAÑARME, ESPERE DOS HORAS PERO NADA PASO, FUI A LA RECEPCION Y LE EXPLIQUE LA SITUACION AL SUPERVISOR DE LA RECEPCION, QUIEN ORDENO QUE ME LLEVARAN DOS TOALLAS, NUNCA REICIERON EL CUARTO, PESE A QUE SOLICITE QUE QUERIA DORMIR PUES EN LA NOCHE FUE IMPOSIBLE, NADIE NOS PUSO ATENCION, AL RETIRARNOS DEL HOTEL LA ENCARGADA DE CALIDAD NOS OFRECIO DISCULPAS Y SOLICITO DEJARAMOS TODO POR ESCRITO, NUNCA OFRECIERON UNA COMPENSACION POR LA MALA SITUACION. LA PLAYA DEL HOTEL ES MUY TRANQUILA Y LINDA, PERO NO HAY DERECHO A QUE NOS HECHEN DEL SITIO ANTES DE TIEMPO. Mehr

Hotel muy bonito, con una muy linda vista, cálidas habitaciones y es muy práctico y agradable la salída al mar que tiene y la belleza de las playas de Santa Marta. Solamente hubo un malentendido con la contratación del transporte que nos llevó desde Santa Marta a Cartagena, ya que nos informaron en el Hotel que el servicio era de puerta a puerta y en […] el medio del viaje nos informó el chofer que no nos llevaba hasta Cartagena, que nos dejaba en Barranquilla y debíamos tomar otro bus, encima nos llevó a una zona no muy agradable para el turista, hubo que pagar más de lo pautado y ante nuestra queja sus argumentos eran bastante infundados y como agravente, realizó comentarios de tipo xenofóbicos. El servicio del personal es deficiente. Los llamas y se toman su tiempo para llegar a atenderte. La playa esta llena de vendedores ambulantes que no te dejan descansar y por lo tanto, hay que estar atentos que no te vayan a robar.

God resturant, behagelig men kjedelig strand. Det annonserte treningsrommet fantes ikke. Annonserte strandaktiviteter, 3-4 pr dag ble samtlige avlyst alle dagene vi var der.

En general el Hotel es muy cómodo, grandes habitaciones, playa semi privada y muy buen desayuno.

Hotel bien situado, algo viejo y no muy bien conservado. Comidas flojas y caras

Nos pareció agradable la estadía, como únicas observaciones queremos aportar que el restaurante es un poco pequeño, y la carta también es un poco reducida en opciones. También podrían ofrecer actividades de tipo náutico. Por lo demás, tuvimos unas vacaciones tranquilas y confortables. Muchas gracias!

O hotel é muito agradavel, funcionarios atenciosos , bom quarto, bom café da manha e praia quase que particular.Recomendo com prazer este hotel, que tem tambem um ótimo preço.Com certeza voltarei varias vezes pois tenho familia em Barranquilla e Santa Marta é muito proxima .

El hotel no tiene gimnasio, hay suficiente espacio como para hacer un pequeño gimnasio. de resto la atención es buena, el desayuno bien , la gente del hotel atenta.

Màs de lo que se puede esperar de un hotel a orillas del mar, sin una objeciòn. El personal exelente, la ubicaciòn, la escala del hotel en fin todo para disfrutar. Aprovechen !!!!! es lo màs.

tranquilo y agradable, extendimos nuestra estadia en un 50% a lo planeado inicialmente

Un bon hotel, très bien situé au bord de la mer. Pour nous, meilleur option que Rodadero et prix correct. Excellent pour les enfants, on mange assez bien.
