Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriot Chattanooga So/East Ridge - East Ridge

When I arrived the desk clerk was extremely friendly and went out of his way to explain the amenities, where my room was, and even where the most convenient place to park would be. The room itself was one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in and had a comfortable bed, several pillows of varying firmness so that you could find the one that was most comfortable […] to you, and generally was a very nice place to stay. There is free internet but I did have a couple of minor complaints about the internet connection but it is provided through a service call IBahn which requires you to navigate your browser to their portal and either accept the free internet (at reduced speeds) or purchase a faster connection. The free internet was sufficient for my needs but I felt like this was an unnecessary step and one that was not in fitting with the rest of the experience. I was also unable to connect directly to the internet connection in my room and had to rely on a wireless connection. As an IT professional I do not like to use public wi-fi due to a number of security concerns and prefer a direct connection. Because of this I would not have felt comfortable using the free internet for anything secure (banking, credit purchases, etc) but since I had no need to do any of this it was a very minor inconvenience. The hotel is located just off I-75 and is very conveniently located. All in all I would highly recommend it and plan on staying here again when I return next spring. Mehr

We were very impressed and grateful with our recent stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Chattanooga/SO East Ridge. The atmosphere was great, very clean, good breakfast, loved the room, the service was wonderful--especially in the dining room.

We stayed 1 night in our travels. The staff was extremely friendly. The room was very clean. Surrounding neighborhood was local and residential. My husband had issues with his allergies. Nice and clean. The bed was a little hard.

This is a great hotel. It was so clean. It is a nice quiet place to stay. The pool was clean and so was the hot tub. Breakfast was decent. Two thumbs up.

From the front desk to cleaning people they all welcome you with a smile. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. I have stayed lots of time in hotels and I am always paranoic about being barefoot but not this time. Will absolutely be back to visit and definitely will recommend to others as well. WELL DONE! Even though the website says no, breakfast […] is included and available at the hotel lobby with a big variety of pastries,cereals,bagels etc. The website also says no internet but that is also wrong there is internet available in every room. Extremely clean and a very helpful staff.

Nice hotel convenient to I-75. Very clean rooms, Very quiet - never heard a neighbor for our two night stay. Breakfast bar selections could use some help! Coffee was good; quiche in a microwavable bag bad ! Cracker Barrel is right across the street. Would stay there again.

This was a nice hotel. Check in was fast and without any problems. The room was very clean and nice. The wireless internet connection worked very well. The only complaint was the whirlpool tub in the pool area did not work. The water in the whirlpool was extremely hot and the jets did not work. Otherwise it was a great stay.

We were late checking in..in fact we were so late as in the morning at 9 am as we experiencing extra work problem we had to solved the night before. After verified that we did not checked in the night before, they actually change our date of booking to later so we can get a good 6 hours of z's before we hit the road. this hotel was a half way stop from michigan to florida, and worked well for that. not the niceest marriot owned hotel but it was clean and comfortable. good continential breakfast.

It was a great place for my daughter and me. We met there to antique shop so we were in the right place. The motel was exceptionally nice including breakfast. It was only a short drive to multiple restaurants.

No hot water...it was a freezing cold shower. Nothing worse than a long day at work to wake and get a cold shower. To top it all off, the hotel staff was very rude about it and claimed they had plenty of hot water for all thier guests, nothing was wrong with the hot water heaters and insulted me and provided the worst customer service ever. They basically […] called me a liar when I reported the cold water to them. They said no other rooms had reported the problem, and offered no solution to the issue. No exchange of room, no compensation for a cold shower. Nothing but insults and rude treatment at check out. I am on the road 4 days a week with work...I know how to use a hotel shower...there was cold and colder. Room temp would have been nice improvement compared to the temperature of the water I had for a shower. All I need for a good hotel stay is a comfortable clean bed and hot shower. Terrible, I would not recommend to anyone. Also, it is not near the Hamilton Place mall. Many other hotels are on the same exit. This one is several exits away. The area is not the safest or cleanest exit I have seen in Chattanooga. Overall terrible experience. I will NEVER stay in that hotel again. I may avoid the chain altogether. Mehr

I had zero hot water. I do not enjoy COLD water showers, and the management said that there wasn't a problem with the hot water heaters. They also were very rude about my lack of hot water. They insinuated I didn't know how to use a shower, said that thier hot water heaters were sufficient and offered nothing for a cold water shower other than sorry. […] They basically called me a liar for telling them it was cold water. I have never seen such poor customer service. No wonder they didn't have many cars in thier lot. I can't imagine anyone ever going back. A hot shower is as important as a clean and comfortable room to me. It was cold or freezing cold.....not a drop of even room temp water. Terrible hotel stay. DO NOT stay here. Also, they misrepresent that they are near the Hamilton Place mall. They are not even close. There is a Fairfield Inn that is less than a mile from the mall. Perhaps they have hot water too. I travel every week for business and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Mehr

it was very clean, and conveniently located. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting chatanooga tourist locations.
