"Am Tor zu den Rocky Mountains gelegen"
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 7. Okt. 2012Ich war nur eine Nacht dort. Das Motel ist verkehrsgünstig sehr gut gelegen. Zum Laufen braucht man nur über die Straße gehen und ist direkt am Fluss. Das war super! Das Personal ist sehr nett und das Zimmer zum Glück nicht kanadisch "cosy" sondern stylisch. Das hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Absolut weiterempfehlenswert! Ich würde wieder buchen.

Frühstück allerdings typisch nordamerikanisch: kein Käse, keine Wurst, nur Marmeladen, Labbertoastbrot, Waffelmaschine. Besteck / Teller, alles in Wegwerfplastik.

Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 25. Aug. 2012Die nachfolgende Bewertung basiert auf einer Rundreise durch den Westen von Kanada, bei der wir 18 Nächte in 10 Hotels verbrachten. Die Hotels lassen sich daher untereinander vergleichen, was aufschlussreicher sein dürfte als Vergleiche mit dt. Maßstäben. Das Radisson Hotel Calgary Airport diente nur zur Übernachtung nach einem langen Flug. Als solches kann man es durchaus empfehlen, während bei längeren Aufenthalten der Lärm vom nahe gelegenen Flughafen sowie von der angrenzenden Straße stören würde. Die Beschreibung in Hotels.com entsprach dem, was wir vorfanden. Statt eines Queen Betts gab es sogar zwei. Insgesamt würden wir dieses Hotel im Mitteldrittel eingruppieren, beim Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sogar im oberen Drittel.

We stayed one night in the Jacuzzi suite, with two little kids (2 and 4). The room was awesome and we arrived to a basket of free snacks in our room which was great for the kids. When we returned to our room after the pool we also had turndown service and a couple cookies with evian. (It was a nice-to-have) The pool and pool room was cold, which was […] disappointing. But...the kids loved it, it was great for kids of all ages with a hot tub and warm tub. The waterslides were great too. Didn't make it to the excercise room, but it looked nice. We also didn't visit the Casino. For people with kids...they are not welcome at the Friday buffet...which sounds and smells wonderful...kind of disappointing we couldn't enjoy it. The Mohave grill is yummy though. The hotel lobby floor was being renovated while we were there...and I was suprised they were doing it, being so new...looks like they have good up-keep. We also had problems with our TV (it was us, not the TV# and hotel staff was in our room to help us within 5 minutes. All-in-all....we were happy with our stay. The staff was great and it's a really nice hotel...it might be suprising to see the area it is in...but we knew the surroundings before hand #it's near/in foothills industrial). We recommed! I cannot say enough about the wonderful front desk service I received. It was like no other I have ever received from any other hotel. I want to thank the young gentlemen who looked after my requirement to have to cancel one night's reservation. He took care of everything. And then made sure I knew that it was taken care of because it was through a […] third party whom I had been unable to establish contact with to effect the cancellation. He then followed up with a call to me on my cell to let me know that everything was done and generally took care of everything for me. In general, a good experience! Checking in was bit confusing as the reception clerk could not find our reservation and had to transfer to a higher personnel. She eventually did find our reservation! Unfortunately, arriving on Sunday limited our choice of dinning in the hotel facilities. A couple of the eating facilities within the casino were closed. Good place to stay on the suburb of Calgary on the Dearfoot trail (freeway). Pool area has a waterslide and children's safe area. Rooms are away from the casino so no spill over of people or noise. Our stay was very comfortable. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The kids enjoyed the waterslide and pool. I would recommend bringing your own pillow, they were too big. Staying as a family of 4 with two kids under 11, having a pool was paramount for entertaining them during down time. The waterpark was great, kept them both busy for hours and wasn't stifling (chlorine smell-wise) for myself whilst watching over them. The room was very clean and comfortable and when we had to talk to any staff (rarely) they were very […] pleasant and helpful. My only concern was the distance away from stuff as it's located in a more Industrial/Business area but Calgary's set-up for ease of movement through the city, made that a non-issue. Nice place to stay in Calgary. The whole hotel was almost empty in off season and I got a good discount. Service was good and the staff were friendly. It is next to the highway to the airport. The strong smell in the lobby and not functioning water slide were the only minor problems I had at this place. I have no idea why the casino closes at midnight […] and does not open 24 hours. This was a very nice hotel. I booked for convenience as concert I had gone to Calgary to attend was in same building. It was no hassle, no driving and there was dining options in hotel. Not a pleasant experience on our second nights stay. Asked for a room/floor of the hotel that did not accomodate animals; dogs were barking next to our room. Why make this request due to asthma, when it is not honored. People ran up and down the hallway to see who could be the fastest until 1:00 AM and then early in the morning. Well we checked in on Christmas day and it seemed that the girl at the desk wouldn't really help us because we made our booking online!
