Vatican Suites Hotel and Residence - Rom

Das Hotel ist optimal gelegen. In 5 Minuten steht man auf dem Petersplatz, Gelegenheiten zum Essen gibt es viele in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Sehr geräumige Zimmer. Leider einige kleine Mängel wie gebrochenes Schanier am WC-Deckel, fehlender Verschluss beim Eisfach vom Kühlschrank und defekte Beleuchtung im Vorraum. Sonst aber alles OK.

We like the accessibility(walking distance) to the Vatican Square and surrounding must-see sites and to the different 'fermatas' that we wanted to take. Staff quite prompt in attending to our need like changing burnt light bulb; helped us a lot having an English-speaking, friendly ,receptionist. In general, we had a pleasant stay.

Location is good, short walk to Vatican but not quite easy to go from the nearest underground station. They have issues with amount of hot water can be used at any given time. They wanted to charge 40 euros extra (bcoz we stayed less than 4 nights) for kitchen facilities which was part of the suite we booked (obviously we did not pay). Our first visit to Europe and we got this hotel to stay in. It was the best. The location was perfect as we got to be within a 5 minute walk of the Vatican. We walked to the heart of old Rome and back again and saw all kinds of things in between. It was the absolute best. The rooms were great and the staff were extremely helpful. The first thing that surprised us about this hotel was that there was not a typical reception desk, it's just basically a home office. However, the worker was kind and gave us a map and showed us the main places to visit. The "hotel" can best be described as a converted house. The room was small and because of our room location the wifi barely reached […] and was very slow so we often found ourselves in the hallway for the connection. The bed was average. TV was very small, but who comes to Rome for the TV? Shower had very little hot water. Bathroom was small but adequate. Located behind the Vatican. 5-10 minute walk to St. Peter's Square. Probably our favorite part of our stay was that we could walk through the square every morning and evening on our way to or from the hotel. Mehr

Good location for Vatican City but a bit a walk to all the other sites. However we chose to walk everywhere rather than take the metro, and didn't mind. The room was a good size and had everything we needed. It was basic and clean, but not much atmostphere (no bar or restaurant and didn't see any other guests). Good position but room v small and quite "tired". Bathroom tiny and lack of shower curtain meant it got very wet with each shower. Strange kitchenette arrangement in room took up a lot of space which could be better used. Just a fridge would be sufficient. Staff friendly n helpful.

This hotel is a lovely hotel with great staff. The hotel is located on the backside of the Vatican walls which means a lot of walking to/fro. There are 3 bus lines that have stops near the hotel but 2 of the bus lines did not seem to have enough buses running as we rarely saw a # 5 or #46 until the last day of our stay. We were promised brunch - coffee was not even available. Suite was not a suite - room that would only fit 1 person No shuttle available. Cannot sit on roof top deck

The Residence Vatican Suites is not a new hotel by any means. The rooms and sheets are clean, the walls could use a fresh coat of paint but it still felt clean. The hotel is a little out of the way for all the monuments, but if you are active and don't mind walking the location was great for the peace and quiet. Around the corner from the Vatican, which […] was about a 10 minute walk, the hotel was in a more residential area that, at first did seem a little unnerving, but it turned out to be perfectly charming and safe. Occasionally I had problems with the air conditioning, and the hot water (and the lack of a do not disturb sign) however bringing any of these problems to the attention of the front desk brought immediate rectification of the problems. The front desk staff were wonderfully accomodating all speaking english and all going above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable while in Rome. Lastly, getting to the hotel was a little tricky as the street is against the Vatican wall, and alongside the Via Aurelia up the set of stairs but once you learn the location, you quickly realize how fast you can get to the Vatican, the best shops in the city, and the metro line A. Truly, the highlight of the hotel was that with windows opened or closed, the location (in particular my room facing the Vatican walls) provided me with some of the most welcome silence in such an overcrowded city. The Residence Vatican Suites was clean, roomy and very comfortable - with wi-fi, AC and laundry! Great for families. It was on a quiet street and the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet, but a short walk to St. Peters and major bus routes to the historic parts of Rome. This place was great! We were maybe a ten minute walk to Vatican City and a five minute walk to the main street to pick up a bus. Our room was very clean and fairly modern. The hair dryer did not work when we got there and when we called the staff we had a new one in our room in less than five minutes. The employees at this hotel went out of their […] way to make us comfortable. They also spoke English very well which was a huge relief to us. For the price, I do not think you will find a better place to stay while visiting Vatican City or Rome on general. Mehr

We had read the reviews, which were positive, and we had an excellent holiday in Rome using this as our base. Located right beside the Vatican wall made it easy to find our way back every night. We walked and used the bus. The staff showed us where to catch the bus, which bus went where and where to purchase tickets. All went very smooth.

Nice quiet neighborhood in Vatican City and yet close enough to walk to all the sites if you are up for the walks required in Rome (subway system is limited but who can miss all the sites on the way anyway - must walk). The room was very nice - up to date with a very modern bathroom and shower. The view from the rooftop balcony was beautiful but had […] limited access and no breakfast was provided at least while we were there. If you have a car - be sure to bring a GPS, my friend who lives in Rome had a difficult time finding it - the area is a little confusing. But the walk (15 min) to the Vatican was a great start to every day. Nice little grocery stores and pizza places in the neighborhood to grab a bottle of wine and pizza after a great day in such a beautiful city. Will stay there again on our next trip to Rome. Mehr

The hotel for the price makes sence after you stay there. The room is clean and the roof garden is a nice touch but the location is not ideal. It is in the middle of a neighborhood on the wrong side of the Vatican. It took a solid 20 min to walk around to St. Peter's Square. You are not around any public transportation or resturants. We talked to a […] few people who paid the same to stay on the right side of the Vatician. The neighborhood doesn't feel "safe" for when you are walking home after the sun falls..BUT....for the money we knew something was going to be off. The service was great and the room was clean. Mehr

The hotel staff went out of their way to be accomodating. The facility has a lovely roof-top patio, but unfortunately it isn't available to guests. It would have been nice to sit out there after a day of site seeing to rest and enjoy a bottle of wine that we provide, but management kept it off-limits. Management was rude and unreasonable to deal with. […] I would not recommend or stay there again because of this. Mehr

Останавливались в отеле на 10 дней. Замечательный небольшой отель, расположен в 15-ти минутах ходьбы от Музеев Ватикана и Площади Св. Петра. Рядом остановки автобусов, сравнительно недалеко - метро. Особенно впечатлила маленькая тихая улочка, где расположен Отель. Рядом шумный, многолюдный город, а здесь покой и умиротворение, действительно "Ватиканская […] обитель". Номера чистые, просторные, есть все необходимое, даже маленькая, вмонтированная в шкаф кухня. Есть посуда, холодильник, если попросить - дают чайник. Мы приехали в начале марта, было довольно прохладно в номере, с кондишеном была какая-то проблема, но нам по первой просьбе дали обогреватель. На крыше Отеля небольшая терраса, думаю там очень хорошо летним вечером. Правда, застройка довольно плотная и за счет холмистой местности вид из окна был на соседний дом и частично на холм, но Рим прекрасен и смотреть его нужно не из окон Отеля. Ну и что немаловажно - относительно небольшая стоимость проживания, замечательное соотношение цена/качество. Mehr

Nous avions choisi cet hotel pour 4 jours par rapport à son emplacement éloigné du centre ville , mais calme et à 15 min à pieds des commerces et de la place Saint-pierre, mais surtout par rapport à la description faite du studio. Sur ce poin rien n'a correspondu, trés mauvais lit, pas de DVD, pas de CD, pas d' ustensille de cuisine, pas de tété LCD( […] pas d'antenne de réception), 15°C la nuit dans l'appartement, plus d'eau chaud au troisième jour, etc... Nous avons passés un trés mauvais séjour et la réception ne nous a pas faciliter les changements: Changement de chambre, de télé, d'ustensilles de cuisine, de verre à eau. Nous ne recommandons pas cette hotel. Mehr

Varasin hotellin Tempur-patjojen perusteella, sillä olen selkävaivainen. Huoneessa ei ollut Tempur-patjaa ja reklamoin siitä hotellin henkilökunnalle. Lupasivat hoitaa asian, mutta mitään ei tapahtunut. Tässä hotellissa ei siis ole Tempur-patjoja. Lomani oli osaksi pilalla, sillä huono patja vielä pahentaa selkävaivaani joten käveleminen alkoi olla […] hankalaa parin yön jälkeen. Ja Roomassahan joutuu kävelemään! Hotelli oli tosi siisti mutta sitä langatonta tai langallista internet-yhteyttä emme saaneet, edes kattoterassilla. Kymmenen minuutin kävelymatka Vatikaaniin oli plussaa. Mehr

все хорошо, если устраивает маленькая ванная, и отсутствие возможности посушить вещи, это единственный минус.

Our first imprission with the staff was terrible. The night guard was extremely rude and not helpful at all. And then we were showed to our room which was supposed to be a "superior suite", but turned out to be a small and dirty room. The walls were yellow and brown because of old dirt. The standard did not reflect the description made by this hotel […] theirself. Do not choose this hotel if you want a "superior Rome experience". Mehr

Superior-suite var vores suite beskrevet som, men der var intet superior over det. Det lille køkken manglede alt bortset fra vask og køleskab, men tallerkner og bestik blev fremskaffet da vi spurgte efter det. Men hotellet ligger lige op af muren til Vatikanet i et dejligt stille og meget pænt område, med god mad tæt på, hvor man bliver genkendt 2. […] gang og hilst hjerteligt "ciao cara" somom man var langt væk fra en storby med millioner af turister hvert år. Tagteressen på hotellet var dejlig med udsigt til Peterskirkens kupel, men lukkede allerede kl 19. Det var dejligt at komme "hjem" i fred på hotellet efter en hektisk dag i storbyen. Mehr

Høflig og hjælpsom service. Stort men lidt skrabet hotelværelse. Ringe køkkenudstyr, manglende lænestole. Fjernsyn dårligt fungerende.

Personalet ved ikke hvad service er - personalet er generelt utrolig dårlige og tager ikke ansvar. Roof-Garden (Tag-terrassen) vil de ikke åbne, selvom der på deres hjemmeside annoncere med gode billeder af denne. Så regn ikke med noget af det der står om hotellet - for virkeligheden er en anden. Vær opmærksom på, at håndklæderne først bliver skiftet […] efter 4. dagen. Vi måtte kontakte Hotels.com pr. telefon 2 gange under opholdet. Vi har, da vi kom hjem skevet til Hotels.com. ang. de mange mangler for at andre ikke skal blive udsat for den ringe service og mangler på hotellet i forhold til hjemmesiden. Mehr

Nice and quiet hotell with big appartments. Approx 10 min walk from St.Peters square. It\ s exstra costs if you use the kitchen but thats explained at the information board in the room, should not be any problem to anybody. Theres no restaurant but you can get tea ore cofee at the lounge in the eavning. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. The […] cleaning at the room is very good. Mehr
