DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Manchester - Piccadilly - Manchester

Was staying in manchester for 2 nights and can't fault this hotel. Room was clean and bright. Location was perfect with Picadilly right accross the road and a lovely restaurant accross from the front door. Staff were very friendly and nice and bar was cosy for a few drinks. Would definitely stay here again when I visit Manchester again.

Glad we upgraded to a delux which had a great view of the city streets - perfect people watching. Service was excellent and when we had a problem with no hot water this was fixed imediately.

Beautiful room, friendly helpful staff and good location. Breakfast and reception chaotic and disorganised with long queues. No buffet at breakfast resulting in long waits. We waited 10 minutes for a table, then coffee was served after another 10 minutes and breakfast 20 minutes later!

One of the best City centre Hotels I have stayed at and is at least 4* +! The attention to detail and quality of finish in the rooms is superb and every member of staff is pleasant and helpful - would not stay anywhere else in Manchester.

Was able to locate the hotel easily, without maps, coming from the airport by train - you can see the Mint sign from the entrance. A couple of things could use a bit of refurbishment, but overall I was highly satisfied, especially for the price paid including breakfast. Might be the best value in town.

Had an excellent stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly on arrival. Room was available early and the cookies were a nice touch. Breakfast was very good although we did have to wait for a table but did not expect smoke salmon to be available which was another good point. it was within easy walking distance of Piccadilly Station and my room was spacious,, modern and clean

The staff at this excellent hotel could not be more helpful. We stayed for one night before travelling to Liverpool for the Grand National. We arrived at 9am and were allowed to check in at that stage. Room was very good with a great computer and good selection of TV stations. We were allowed leave our bags for several hours the next day also. Staff […] gave loads of good advice about the city and to cap it all off the breakfast was delicious. Very convenient for the station, but also a good, clean, welcoming place to stay.

Stayed here again after a bad experience with Mint. New owners Hilton honoured the upgrade offer and over delivered. Great stay!

excellent hotel. just accross the road from Piccadilly Station, so it was no problem finding the place. The reception area was good, and the service from the receptionists also. The size of the room and the bed was adequate. Each room has an iMac to use as TV and for Internet/music etc, and each day we were given water bottles on the house. Good location clean modern hotel wIth helpful staff. Breakfast good with waitress service. Food good in restaurant to. Overall one of the best in Manchester stopped their many times

We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton for a weekend and was very pleased with the service provided by the staff and the location of the hotel. Welcomed with a smile (and a warm cookie) at check-in when arriving late at night was most welcome. The hotel itself is great for a city-break as everything is within walking distance. Mainline train-station, […] trams and plenty of shopping opportunities are all within 5-10 mins of the hotel. The room was tidy and clean, but a shower-door that didn't close properly and flooded the bathroom-floor was disappointing. At least it made us not leave anything on the bathroom-floor whilst using the shower. All in all, it was a nice play to stay and we would recommend it to friends and family if ever they required at comfortable, good-value-for-money, city-centre hotel. Mehr

I often stay in the Mint hotels as I find them excellent throughout. I was a little dubious to find that they had been taken over but I needn't have been. The staff were very welcoming and the room and service was up to the usual excellent standard. I will definately be a continuing customer

Perfect! Booked this hotel so I could easily go/return do Old Trafford after my train arrival. Very close to the train station. Very large room. Got TWO iMacs in the room. Amazing !

All in all a good stay in a well presented hotel the only issue we had was noise from the tram system starting quite early in the morning! Otherwise would happily return for another stay if in Manchester!

Staff were lovely, the room smelt slightly musty and had a stain on the carpet that had been not so cleverly covered up with a chair BUT the staff were lovely, the linen was clean, the food was lovely but expensive, the location is perfect and I would definitely use this hotel again, the warm cookie on checking in is a very very nice touch. If I had […] to complain it was that there was not enough tea/coffee or sugar and the noise outside the hotel was really loud but you are in the middle of the town centre so it should have been expected really. We found the doubletree hotel was a great place to base ourselves for our two night city break to Manchester. The hotel is clean, comfortable, in a great location and the breakfast is pretty good too, however the restaurant can be a bit crazy/slow on a Sunday morning. I liked the warm cookie we got when we checked in, but the hotel didn't say that […] you got £5 discount per day at the weekend on the parking. The hotel opposite Manchester Piccadilly was a great location and ideal for an over night stay. With being able to get the hotel at a great rate, I found myself very suprised at the quality of the hotel and the service.

Över all förväntan. Högsta europeiska klass både vad gäller komfort, läge och frukost.

Kjempebra hotell med med veldig sentral beliggenhet, kun 100m å gå fra picadilly togstasjon. Sentrum av manchester er 200meter unna. Servicen var helt topp og det var god frokost. Flott med mac + internett på rommet, men noe negativt at det ikke også er en flatskjerm på veggen. Macen blir litt liten å se på tv med. Ellers er hotellet absolutt å anbefale, […] jeg kommer til å bo her neste gang jeg skal til Old Trafford også. Mehr

Dette hotellet har en perfekt beligenhet nært til både togstasjon og de mange fasiliteter som Manshester har og by på. Det er gangavstand til de fleste serverdiheter. Flotte fasiliteter på hotellet og topp service. Renhold og rommene har høy standar. Dette er et hotell som jeg kan virkelig anbefale og kommer selv til og bruke neste gang jeg skal besøke […] Manchester. :) Mehr

Hotellet var hakket bedre når det var Mint synes jeg. Da var minibaren full og i den ene skuffen på pulten var det mye kjekke småsaker man kunne kjøpe fra skokrem til tannkrem og noe snacks. Både minibaren og denne skuffen var tom nå som Hilton har tatt over og da hjelper det ikke at man får en kjeks når man sjekker inn.

Vi fikk oss en stor overraskelse da vi kom til Manchester. Mint Hotel hadde blitt til Doubletree :)! Det var en koselig overraskelse. Veldig hyggelig personale. Det var et problem med vårt nøkkelkort, så conciergen fulgte oss opp på rommet og gav oss en omvisning. Dersom vi trengte noe, var det bare å ringe- dag eller natt. Restauranten "City Cafe", […] der frokosten blir inntatt, utmerket seg! Frokosten var fantastisk! Her kunne man velge på øverste hylle alt man kunne ønske seg. Veldig søte kelnere! Dersom man er interessert, ligger hotellet rett ved den herlige Canal Street, et kjent samlingspunkt for LGBT. Et veldig hyggelig opphold. Vi kommer gjerne igjen! Mehr
