Excellent hotel with free breakfast and wifi. Rooms are large and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Star City, so is very convenient for eating out. Hotel staff were helpful when needed.

stayed before, will stay again.

It was my first time in Birmingham,When I looked at the reviews I was very impressed with the positive feedback....I was looking forward to enjoying my night but I could not sleep because the room did not have proper dark curtains and I was in room 227 which is facing the major street and the bright lights from street lights made it difficult for me […] to sleep!!. I would recommend if proper curtains were installed. The staff were very friendly....Thank you for all your support . The breakfast was O.k. it will be nice to add more food for vegeterains e.g grilled tomatoes as part of buffet... I will give it 4.5 % out of 5,I enjoyed my night, bed was very comfortable and Yes I will recommend it to my mates and will return back.. Thanks. Again.. Jayne Toronto, Canada Mehr

Excellent room, large and comfortable. Comfy bed, clean and in excellent repair . Only one niggl, no restaurant or room service but apart from that I can't fault it.

The comfort of the rooms we had were excellent, the staff extremly helpful and very courteous. Breakfast in the bar/lounge was a bit hectic however the staff made sure that all the items available were stocked up at all times and you didn't have to wait, this was because where they have the breakfast set up is not in a very good place and needs redesigning, […] but that is my only moan, not a compaint. The area around the hotel is not easy accesible if you want to walk to the bars/restuarents/entertainments, however access to city center via car/taxi is very easy. Hotel is near to Star City and you can walk to it in around 5 mins. Rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good choice of hot and cold food. Hotel is clean and well maintained and staff were very helpful

Found everything about this hotel excellent. Was worried having read previous reviews about single females travelling alone, but nothing could be further from the truth. Every single staff member I had any contact with was supieror in their customer service skills. I can't praise them highly enough. Reception booked taxi to take me to a shopping centre […] & I just rang the hotel and they arranged for a return pick up. Highly recommend and will definitely be back, sooner rather than later. Mehr

Excellent stay here at the hampton, good location next to star city but close enough to head into the centre of birmingham as well. Room was a good size and the rate even included breakfast, which I expected to be a small selection, however, full english breakfast, cereals, toast, croissants, mini muffins and whatever type of tea you wanted from the […] twinings range!!! Basic business hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cleaning/maintenance staff need to be more diligent however - I found a long black hair in the shower, and whilst lying in bed watched 3 spiders descending their webs from the ceiling!! TV aerial also not properly connected, so TV initially didn't work and several lamps unplugged so no lights at […] first!! Mehr

Had a great stay, staff was very friendly, hotel was very clean and tidy, was pleased with standards of room and bathroom. Breakfast was nice too. Would stay again.

The staff was very polite and helpful even though they were working double duty. Concierge & Bar. They were still attentive and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable. The shower was WONDERFUL! I used the shampoo and conditioner provided in the dispensers and my hair came out all shiny and bouncy! LOVE! The food was good as well. I had a really […] decent pizza in the evening and I also had the free breakfast. Buffet breakfast with all the trimmings. Delicious. Although lovely and comfortable, it is not a luxury hotel. Hotel was in a good location for our requirements - a visit and tour of Villa Park. Close to a leisure complex with cinema, casino and an abundance of places to eat! Location was in a quiet area although the view out of our room was a couple of gas cylinders but hey, we didn't go for the view!! The room was spotlessly clean and bed comfortable. No problems […] connecting to the free wi-fi although the TV channels were somewhat limited. The only groan we had was the standard of soundproofing in the room - could hear people walking round in the room above and along the corridors and it did sound like a herd of elephants at times!! Having said that, it tended to cease by about 11.30pm. All in all, a comfortable stay and would definitely recommend to others. Mehr

Came for the athletics so the location was great and plenty to do at star city over the road. For the price the hotel could not have been better.

Excellent hotel, great location, Fantastic if your are visiting Villa(we went to see take that), great for Casino (opposite Hotel), quick taxi drive takes you into Centre of Birmingham, We walked there, but took a taxi back.

Very nice hotel, room spotlessly clean and comfortable, except for the fact that there were no curtains to close at night, just a net curtain. My room wasn't overlooked, but it did mean that the lights from Star City shone into the room all night! I wanted a snack in the hotel, rather than going into Star City for a meal, and although the hotel offered […] "hub" meals, eg. soup, sandwiches, salads, wraps, I was told that the only soup was tomato soup, and the only filling they had was cheese! " We don't get a delivery until tomorrow", was the reason given by the most apologetic lady on reception. Breakfast on the other hand was great - a variety of things on offer. We stopped here for 1 night to break long journey from Cornwall to Glasgow. hotel was very good value for money, modern,clean and comfortable. breakfast nice bonus! However surrounding Star City complex a bit too much on the eye from our window and when we ventured out for a meal found it rather intimidating. Staff in hotel were very nice though.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and overall provided excellent service. One exception would be the daily maid service. This was very cursory. Not all towels replaced. Not all surfaces cleaned etc. Hotel is close to a large entertainment complex. This would be fine except the venue occasionally hosts soccer tournaments and we "enjoyed" the […] company of some fans in the hotel one night. This resulted in rowdy, noisy partying late into the night. Finally they set off the fire alarm around 4 a.m. Not a restful night. This fact alone would make me hesitate to stay at this property again. The management kindly offered to refund one night of our three night stay. A nice offer, but could not make up for a very irritating night. Mehr

A really nice hotel. Very clean and great size rooms. Beds are huge and very comfy! The location is not great in terms of views but then this in Birmingham! Hotel staff all very friendly and helpful and really liked the informality of the bar/restaurant area. Would definitely return here and recommend to others.

A nice and modest hotel strategically located in Aston area. Minutes of walk to Star City that offers good restaurants and entertainment (cinema, ten-pin bowling & casino) Good range of hot and continental breakfast. This hotel is only about two years old and comfortable decor made us felt welcomed. Will definitely return soon.

Very nice porperty, Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Lots of towels, soap, shampoo conditioner. Hairdryer was powerful enough to move your hair. Restaurant was great with good selection and daily specials. Breakfeast everyday was very good. The Bar area had a good selection for a smaller hotel. Wireless Internet was very […] good, signal was strong and never had it drop once in 3 days. I would definatley stay here again. Mehr

The hotel is in a good location, close to Star City and the Fort Shopping Park. Rooms are clean and of a good size.

Great value for money, would recommend to all. Hotel in good condition & location central to city & Aston Villa FC. All staff helpful & plan to stay in the future

Very pleasant stay at this hotel. Staff very helpful & friendly. Nothing too much trouble. The one thing that would make it 100% perfect would be if the hotel had room service. Very other aspect was spot on & excellent value for money.

The car par was empty when we arrived and we thought it was closed at first. Rooms very nice and clean, bathroom great. Only downside was although we had asked for a twin and double, they gave us 2 doubles so had to change it and then couldn't get 2 rooms next to each other. Didn't participate in the restuarant or bar so can't comment, but reception […] staff very helpful. Close to cinema/restaurants/casino complex. Mehr

Hotel was very new and clean the room was more than enough for one nights stay and the shower was excellent. The only thing i would have liked is some information about the restaurant in the room so that I knew what was on offer.

Good location with no apparent competition in the direct area. Room serves a tidy purpose with no frills, but I never have joy with the TV remote controls. They seldom work or batteries run low.
