Sandos Playacar Beach Resort & Spa All Inclusive - Playa del Carmen

The entire property is very well maintained. The resort is located on a lovely beach. Food not bad for an All Inclusive hotel.

From saying hello and consistently making us feel as though we were among friends and remembering names to encouraging us to "play" at the pool and beach without being intrusive, to meeting all our small demands with a smile, the staff here went way out of their way. Kids Club staff great. The food also was surprisingly good, particularly at the restaurants […] requiring reservations, and the expansive breakfast buffet. Finally, the beach has soft white sand and the pools are fantastic. Altogether a pleasant and memorable stay. Nightly shows were fun and professionally done. Honestly, a great experience. Mehr

Great resort at the end of the Playa del Carmen strip with enthusiastic and friendly staff. Some of the restaurants were closed while we were there because of decreased occupancy.

The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained. The beach is gorgeous with plenty of palapas and palm trees to provide shaded when wanted. The food is average with many restaurant options. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable - beyond firm! The hotel clearly caters to families with young children - I believe children under 12 stay for free. As a result, […] there are small children EVERYWHERE - we could not find a place to escape them. In addition, if you are bringing teenagers, you should know that there's no place for teens to hangout. They are no longer allowed in the disco - you have to be 18 to get in - and the "teen" club is filled with young children and closes at 11. The front desk its to slow. i took 1 hr for my room the check out was the same. its a all inclusive hotel. you have to stay 20 min in a line for a drick or snack The service its really kindles but no many personal so slow

Sandos Playacar is a very good hotel. I want to highlight the excellent food. Good treatament of all staff. We liked the hotel´s location in middle of a beautiful neighborhood.

MUST IMPROVE IN CONDITION AN MAINTENANCE OF THE ROOM, AT LIST THE AREA THEY CALL "HACIENDA" BUFFET AREA IS TOO HOT WHEN YOU GO TO EAT. RESTAURANTS ARE GOOD.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this resort. We stayed in a Hacienda Suite which was located in the center of the resort. It had access to a semi-private pool and hot tub as well a plenty of space in the room. The on-site amenities were also great - they provided free bicycle rentals to explore outside of the hotel, a great gym and spa, […] tennis courts, and tasty food. Great hotel room! Two items for others to note: 1) be sure to request a room in the "older" section of the resort, as it is MUCH closer to the beach and restaurants and 2) make dinner reservations for any a la carte restaurants as soon as you arrive, as they fill up quickly. Location is a further drive from the airport in Cancun as it is at the more […] southern end of the Playa del Carmen resort strip. Overall, hotel room, food, pools, and beach were much better quality than I had expected!! We even saw about 5 monkeys in the trees right outside our room - too cool!! Mehr

The food overall was much better than we expected. The buffets were much better than we thought they would be. The French and Asian ala carte restaurants were very good. Skip the steak house. We never had any problem getting all the food we wanted and all the drinks we wanted. Even room service was good.

Muy conformes. La comida es bastante variada y excelente atencion de empleados. Excelente entretenimiento y animacion para chicos y grandes, para toda la familia. La playa es hermosa pero faltaban reposeras . Las criticas son almohadas con olor a humedad, demasiada gente y un poco ruidoso por las noches (la gente pasa gritando y chicos corriendo). Hotel con muy buena playa, excelente la atención recibida de todo el personal. Buena cocina. Deben mejorar un poco la variedad de postres

He pasado una semana maravillosa en el hotel. El personal de lo restaurantes estuvo muy agradable y disponible. Lo único negativo fueron los de la recepción, tardamos mucho en el proceso de check in y a la hora del check out querrían cargarnos gastos sobre la cuenta de servicios ya pagados en el hotel y tuvimos que demonstrar que ya lo habíamos pagado […] si no teníamos que volverlo a pagar! Otra cosa ojo en lo que mencionan en el sitio donde dicen que los niños menores de 7 años son gratis, no es cierto, un niño entre 3 y 12 años no paga, los otros pagan el 50% y los niños menores de 2 años siempre no pagan. Entre 13 y 17 años pagan el 30 %. En general recomendaría el hotel ya que la playa donde se encuentra es algo de indescrivible. Mehr

Täytyy sanoa etä Sandoa hotelli oli mahtava kokemus. Palvelu pelasi loistavasti, henkilökunta ystävällistä,ruoka monipuolista ja maukasta,juomaa oli vaikka mitä, alueet siistit ja ranta hieno !!! La calidad de los alimentos no va de acuerdo a la calidad del hotel. Ceo que podrian mejorar en este aspecto.

Un lugar idilico, para descansar, muy tranquilo, ideal para la familia. Lo unico si es que se nota mucho la diferencia entre los huespedes que son parte de su club y los que no. Es discriminatorio. pero en terminos generales es muy bueno.

Excelente el hotel esta muy bonito y su servico muy bien . Nos encantaron nuestras vacaciones a mi familia y mi, lo recomendamos y queremos volver al mismo hotel

Le paradis !!! Nous avions une chambre haciendas junior suite et c'était vraiment top avec piscine privative pour les 10 chambres. Grand choix de restaurant, nourriture excellente et aucun faux frais cachés avec les boissons, tout est compris. Malgré que l'hôtel soit très grand et qu'il y a beaucoup de monde, on a jamais l'impression d'être les uns […] sur les autres, toujours de la place à la plage ou à la piscine (même durant le mois de juillet). UNA BUENA ELECCIÓN CALIDAD PRECIO.

En verdad es un sitio para relajarse, pasarla bien y muy adecuado para la familia, ya que cuenta con actividades para los niños. La pasé super bien y es un hotel muy bello, cómodo y de atmóstfera agradable y apacible.

en general los 3 o 4 restaurants estan bien pero el que esta mal es el riviera por la noche las cenas estan de mala calidad

Excelente atención, las instalaciones super, es muy bonito en general. Los alimentos muy variados y muy ricos. Por las noches muchas actividades para pasarla SUPER. La pasamas muy bien. Gracias.

Rigtig dejligt hotel, som viste sig at være meget bedre end vi havde forventet. Der var service døgnet rundt og ingen steder blev der forvetet drikkepenge. Smilende og imødekommende personale. Dejligt værelse. Skønt poolområde og super lækker strand. Der var forskellig underholdning hvert dag, men da vi boede i den fjerneste ende af hotellet, kunne […] vi nyde roen ved vores egen pool der, så det var fint. Dejlig mad og drikke. God kids klub. Y ESTA EN SANDOS PLAYA CAR

estuvimos hospedados en Sandos Playacar y hemos tenido una muy buena experiencia. Mis hijos de 2 y 4 años la han pasado genial en el kinder con variadas actividades durante toda la semana. La unica salvedad de la que no estábamos enterados era que el más chico sólo podía estar al cuidado en el kinder 3 hs. diarias. No obstante han sido muy generosas […] las chicas con los horarios y entre otras cosas hacían face painting para los shows nocturnos con los chicos, obra de teatro con ellos como protagonistas, como por ej. el show de disney, luego baile en la playa, etc. altamente recomendable si quieren desenchufarse de los chicos un rato y poder pasar en pareja más tiempo... de los restaurantes sólo pudimos visitar Asian, ya que como nuestro hijo de 2 años no se podía quedar ni almorzar ni cenar en el kinder por el límite de hasta 4 años y las 3 hs máximo. Bien, dicho restaurante fue muy bueno, aunque el sushi no era lo esperado (estaba de heladera, no recién hecho) pero el resto muy bien. Los buffets muy buenos en general, no del nivel del Riu Palace pero muy satisfactorio. Como contra fue la falta de claridad para poder reservar por esta via la habitación, ya que si bien estaba genial con pileta exclusiva para compartir entre las 8 habitaciones que conformaban el bungalow, estaba a 5 minutos de la playa, lo cual si bien valía el esfuerzo de la caminata para "bajar" todo lo que uno comía de más, era en varias oportunidades un poco cansador... había una opción de transfer, ya que el hotel tenía 2 lobbys (nosotros estábamos más cerca del de la entrada, el otro era más próximo a la playa) pero nunca nos fue fácil tomarlo con los chicos, plegando el cochecito... siempre estaba con mucha gente. Otra cosa para recomendar es el spa y gimnasio: muy buenos, completos y modernos. Si tienen que esforzarse por esquivar a las chicas que le quieren ofrecer la membrecía de SANDOS ROYAL O ELITE, una suerte de tiempo compartido con una charla de hora y media en la que te quieren colocar e Mehr

Viajé con mi esposa. Tengo que aclarar que fue nuestra primera visita al caribe y a un all inclusive, asi que no tengo con que comparar. El hotel es enorme, muy lindo, muy cuidado. La atención es sumamente destacable y uno se siente atendido como un rey por todos. La gente es increiblemente atenta y servicial. La gastronomía es exelente. Hotellet var meget bedre end forventet - placeringen var helt suverænt ved en fantastisk strand og med skoven som nærmeste nabo. Hotellet var nydeligt, og poolområdet var dejligt. Der var lækker mad og drikke døgnet rundt, og der var underholdning og arrangementer hele tiden, som man kunne vælge at benytte sig af. Vi boede i den del af hotellet, som […] lå længst væk fra havet, men gåturen dertil var intet problem - og ellers kørte der bus frem og tilbage hele tiden. Det betød, at vi startede dagen ved havet og poolen nær havet, hvor der var musik, vandgymnastik m.v., og sluttede dagen ved vores egen store - og rolige - pool ved værelset. Værelset var fint med 2 store dobbeltsenge samt sovesofa og badeværelse med spabad samt lille altan. Personalet var meget venligt og imødekommende. Der var næsebjørne, aber og leguaner på hotellets område, hvilket især børnene syntes var sjovt. Et rigtig lækkert hotel med højt serviceniveau. Mehr

Nous avions réservé une chambre dans les haciendas. Elles se situent au milieux du complexe hotelier à environ 2-mn à pied du lobby et 3mn de la plage. Ces chambres se situent dans des petits bâtiments de deux étages comprenant 5 chambres par étages et ayant accès à une petite piscine privative (toujours très propre, entretenue tous les jours). Les […] chambres étaient correctes sans être exceptionnelles. La notre possédait deux lit queen size et un canapé convertible ce qui a été largement suffisant pour notre famille (2 enfants 5 et 9). Les toilettes étaient dans la salle de bain qui possédait une grande douche. Un mini-bar sommaire est également disponible par l'intermédiaire d'un petit frigo les boissons sont inclues et renouvelées tous les jours (sodas et bières). Une bouteille d'eau d'1 litre est également fournis tous les jours. bar : de nombreux bars sont disponibles dans le complexes et servent des boissons alcoolisées ou non. Pour les cockail privilégier le bar situé sur bar avenue a coté de la salle de jeu enfants ou celui situé à la réception restaurations: les petits déjeuners (7h 10h30) ainsi que le déjeuner (11h00 18h00) sont servis dans différents buffets et sont variés et de bonne qualité. Le soir outres les buffets possibilité d'avoir accès à des restaurants thématiques accessible via réservations (méditerranéens, asiatique, mexicain, steackhouse, brésilien et français (réservé aux seuls adultes celui la)). les restaurants les plus prisés steckhouse brésilien et francais sont souvent pleins donc penser à réserver le plus tot possible lors de votre séjours. La réservation s'effectue au lobby à partir de 8h00 tous les jours. animation: ayant loué une voiture pour la durée du séjour nous étions souvent en balade et nous n'avaons pas pus profiter de toutes les animations proposées. Cependant les enfant ont bien apprécié de participer au spectacle disney (pendant l'aprèsmidi il font une petite répétition et le soir participe en tant que figurants au specta Mehr

Arrivés pour un séjour de 4 jours, j'ai eu l'angoisse du premier jour en voyant la cohue digne du parc disneyland, si les 4 nuits n'étaient pas payées je serai repartie. Néanmoins les 3 jours suivants m'ont un peu réconciliés avec ce complexe hotelier immense (comme tout ceux sur le même secteur). Ayant réservé une suite Hacienda, j'ai été déçue, piscine […] privée salle, serviette de toilette sale et suite junior que de nom !!!. De plus à 2 métres batiments en travaux avec le bruit qui les accompagne. Après quelques coups de téléphone et 2 heures passées à la réception, nous avons obtenu un chagement dans la partie hotel en chambre suite junior. Belle chambre, trés propre, dans la partie calme du complexe. Evitez les chambres standards prés de la piscine sauf si vous etes adeptes du bruit qui régne en permanance . Ceci dit hotel tres bien situé au niveau plage, en bout de tous les hotels avec une belle plage et une belle vue sur la mer des caraibes (les deux baleines de protection ne gachent pas la vue comme pour les autres hotels) .
