Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt, auch wenn das Hotel sehr dicht am Hwy liegt, so dass man im Hintergrund das Vorbeifahren der Autos hört, dafür ist man schnell wieder auf dem Hwy1. Das Hotel hat den Vorteil, dass es nur ein paar Minuten vom Marina State Beach entfernt liegt. Einen Meeresblick bieten die Zimmer allerdings nicht. Außerdem gibt es einen eigenen Frühstücksraum und das Frühstücksangebot geht über das übliche Continental Breakfast hinaus, wobei das Angebot an Cereals gegenüber vor 2 Jahren nachgelassen hat. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis stimmen jedenfalls.

Hotel und Zimmer soweit OK (nur eine Übernachtung). Da kein Frühstückraum vorhanden, erfolgt Bereitstellung des Frühstücks mittels einer Kühlbox. Inhalt 'überschaubar'.

Ein Hotel, in dem man sich Wohlfühlen kann und von dem aus sich die atemberaubende Gegend (Ort, Küste, 17 Miles Drive, Monterey, Carmel Valley geut erschließen läßt. Die Lage etwas außerhalb ist für Leute, die sowieso unterwegs sind genauso unwichtig wie die Nutzer der Wellnessangebote. Ausschließlich optisch stört ein ganz wenig die nahegelgene Tankstelle, aber who´perfect ? Ein gutes Hotel zum Weiterempfehlen.
Für zusätzliche Personen können Gebühren anfallen, die abhängig von den Bestimmungen des Hotels variieren können.

"Zimmer ohne Fenster"
Das Zimmer hatte lediglich ein Fenster zum Innenhof in einem Abstand von nur einem Meter. Die Zimmergröße des Kingsbettzimmers war sehr klein gegen über den sonst üblichen Standard. Ein angebotenes Frühstück konnte sich sehen lassen. Das Möbiliar war schon in die Jahre gekommen und bedarf einer Erneuerung.
"Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis"
Das Haus liegt an einer vielbefahrenen Strasse teils etwas laut. Es ist jedoch Verkehrsgünstig gelegen. Preis Leistung stimmt und für die Durchreise zu empfehlen.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte auf unserer Rundreise in Kalifornien im Laurel Inn. An dem Frühstücksraum und dem Angebot könnte sich manch andere Hotelkette ein Beispiel nehmen. Schöner Pool mit Whirlpool und Sauna. Leider hatten wir keine Zeit dieses Angebot zu nutzen, aber wir haben es angesehen und hätten es gerne genossen. "Noisy, close to freeway and had some kind if smell"
Did not like. Had a heater or some kind of plastic smell and was kind of noisy due to being close to freeway. Otherwise the room was clean and had good breakfast with variety of choice.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff and were able to get an early check in. Access to and from the Laurel Inn was very convenient from Highway 101 and outlying areas of Salinas. My wife and I were very happy with the cleanliness of the room and grounds (very well maintained) and eventhough the pool wasn't heated, the hot tub and sauna were […] great. "Not the Best but Not the Worst"
Don't expect the best at this hotel and you won't be disappointed. It's quite feasible for the money. I didn't have good TV reception in my room. If I spent a lot of time wanting to enjoy TV, I would have switched rooms. The staff members were very friendly at the front desk. Clean comforatble room for our golf trip. Very pleased with the breakfast. Separate Dining Area which was very clean and the service was excellant. Didn"t expect this featrure for the price we paid. We would stay again in the future.

"For the money, a safe bet."
My family had to travel to Salinas for a family funeral. With little time to plan and trying to keep the budget low, the reviews of the Laurel Inn looked promising. Nice little Motel close to most amenities. A 5 minute drive from down town Salinas. The staff was courteous and responsive, the room was no frills, but clean and comfortable and overall […] I would stay again under the same circumstances. This isn't a five star hotel. But it had everything you need. Great price, room was very clean, restaurant, mini mart, and dozens of stores within .5 miles. As I was going thru Hotels.com, I found it very hard to look for a place to stay in Salinas. I started at the cheapest and went all the way thru to the more expensive well known hotels. The reviews mentioned "bad part of town" or "bedbugs" or "mold". None of them had as good ratings as the Laurel Motel did. My extended family stayed here after I booked based upon other reviewers and was rewarded with friendly service and a nice stay. Rooms were clean (I checked in my parents), neat, and while somewhat dated, for the price and condition it couldn't be beat. inexpensive, clean and quiet room. pillows were a bit lumpy and beds too hard for my liking, but slept fine. the breakfast was a generous self-self continental. good variety and quality.

Only 30 min from Monterey, It's the best option for b&b in the area. The (regular) room was very big and clean, had a tv and a fireplace, and the breakfast was good also. This motel had the lowest rate per night in our entire trip to the US. Too bad we only been there for 1 night...
"Don´t know how this Motel got a good review"
The hotel is one of the noisiest hotels we tried out on our four week round trip. The fridge was also noisy but didn´t cool, the A/C was working well but much too loud for sleeping. The pool looked nice on pictures, but in reality nobody wants to use a pool in the middle of the parking lot, only a few yards away from an Interstate. Bed was comfortable, […] but not the pillows. The breakfast was ok, the staff tried to be friendly but overall it was a bad experience. Every car passing by and every word spoken on the parking lot was good to hear inside the room with closed door and window. We will never visit this hotel again. Mehr

"Nice breakfast"
2 queens room, the room is big enough and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Bananas, apples, juice, milk, toast, bagle etc. Also choices of coffee and tea. We had nice stay. outdoor pool is kind of in the middle of parking lot, but weather is kind of too cold to swim in Oct anyway..
