Das Hotel besitzt einen eigenen Parkplatz und liegt direkt am Meer, WIFI Zugang gibt es im Zimmer ohne Aufpreis, das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Zimmer sind sauber und der Kategorie entsprechend eingerichtet. Alles spricht eigentlich für ein ausgezeichnetes Preis Leistung Verhältnis, wäre da nicht gegenüber dem Hotel eine Bar mit […] Livemusik bzw. Disco. Die Lautstärke mit der hier gearbeitet wird spottet jeder Beschreibung, da fliegt dir einfach das Blech weg. Ich bin zwar einiges an Lautstärke gewöhnt da ich auch gerne laute Musik höre aber das ist der Gipfel. Also bei geschlossener Türe und geschlossenem Fenster (Terrassentür) liegt man im Bett und die Musik hat eine Lautstärke als ob man einen Kofferradio neben sich hätte der etwas über Zimmerlautstärke eingestellt wäre. --- UND DAS BIS TEILWEISE 3 UHR FRÜH. Also wenn Sie nicht gerade schwer hörig oder taub sind meiden Sie dieses Hotel und sicherlich auch die in der nähe gelegenen. South Gap is a great little boutique hotel in the center of the nightlife in St. Lawrence! The staff was very hospitable and accomadating! It was my birthday and the receptionist Rose surprised me with a bottle of wine! Which I thought was very nice! Overall nice clean place! Very noisy at night felt unsafe being a female travelling alone .. Other than that not bad basic accommodation for the budget traveller .. Staff friendly and helpful but when I asked for a taxi to be ordered she forgot and I was left sitting there for nearly an hour!

Great location. Hotel is right in the middle of the Gap. The view from my hotel balcony was crazy beautiful! The staff were so accommodating and helpful. The pool was well kept. The restaurant food was delicious. The hotel needs some updating and the room is kind of small but it is an amazing value. When I go back to the Gap I will absolutely stay here […] again. Mehr

I had to booked this hotel very last minute. Literally hours before I checked in via hotel.com- so when I arrived at the hotel they didn't have a record of my reservation as yet but still allowed me to check-in and relax in the meantime which was WONDERFUL. My room had a single bed and fairly decent. My only complaint was that their was little room […] to get to the patio. Or do much else in the room. The furniture is too large in some of these single rooms and if you had a guest over- they'd need to practically climb over your bed in order to get to the patio (bed and desk only inches about hinder fitting through sometimes). I actually re-arranged some of the furniture during my stay so that I could be more comfortable. It worked out for short term purposes. This hotel is DIRECTLY across from clubs in the GAP. It's a catch 20/20- a convenient location if you want to party / hang in that area but a bit annoying when you want to go home and EVERYONE can see where you're going. They can even see you unlock your hotel door when you get up to your floor. Just a bit creepy but ok if you're traveling with friends. Mehr

The pool side outdoor dining area overlooks the sea. There is no beach access from the hotel as the hotel sits on the very edge of the sea. There is no sand; just the water crashing at the side of the property. It's beautiful, really. The staff did not wear uniforms but they were easily identified by their willingness to assist. The only saving grace for this hotel was the spectacular ocean view of the room. The hotel is old and it shows its age. Some serious renovations / refurbishments are required. I also appreciated the kitchenette as I was able to save money by preparing some of my own meals. There is also a safe in the room, which, for me, is mandatory There is a karaoke […] bar directly across the street, and though this is not within the control of the hotel, hearing bad karaoke until 3 am almost every night is not the ideal situation. The hotel is centrally located in the gap and close to Dover beach, whcih is one of the top 10 beaches on the island. There is not direct to the beach from the hotel, but this is not really a problem as access to the beach is less than five minutes away. The two happy hours during the course of the day are good value for money. If you are on a strict budget this hotel would be for you. If you have some financial flexibility, don't stay here; it should not be rated more than 1 and one half stars. Mehr

This hotel and it's staff is one of the better place to star is Barbados I stayed there for 5 days the place was clean and the front desk people was very helpful and the hotel is in the heart of the night life.

This hotel is straight to the point. If you're looking for a room to stay in with minimal interference from the staff, it's an excellent choice. The view of the ocean and the pool/restaurant area are beautiful. The staff were also helpful in terms of helping us around the island but you should really do your research before arriving about the best beaches, […] restaurants, etc. The only two issues we had were the noise from the karaoke bar across the street (it's karaoke night Monday through Wednesday from 11-3 AM!), and the bed was SUPER uncomfortable. It wasn't a fancy commercial resort tucked away on large land surrounded by golf courses. It wasn't decorated with expensive furnishings. All inclusive drinks and a buffet morning, noon and night wasn't an option. NO Beach?!??!!! This hotel will provide value for your money. The location is particularly good, especially if you like to party -- there's alot going on in "The Gap". Great for young couples & students. In our case, we're not the party types, so they relocated our room to the first floor which is much quieter than the top floor. We heard no noise at all from the […] clubs in the area. There are some great restaurants nearby, as well as shopping and of course, the beach -- everything is in walking distance. Staff is great, facility is nice. If you stay here you must know that you are in the middle of the Gap. The music and merriment carries on till the wee hours. Experienced a Brit couple trying to invoke noise bylaws over the whole area......C'mon, REALLY? Typical Brits.

Hotel was centrally located. Great desk staff, maids, bartenders, etc. Amazing views!! 5 min walk to the beach. Great pool and temp! Karaoke and bars were across the street...loud at night but we enjoyed them when we were there! Great vacation!!!

Excellent value hotel.The staff especially go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. However be warned that there is an open air Karaoke bar opposite the hotel which can go on till the early hours! Otherwise it is very central to all the bars and restaurants.

The hotel was very nice, excellent ocean view and very nice hotel service personnel. AC worked well along with a comfortable bed and kitchenette. Our only complaints were no hot water some mornings and a lousy shower head. Location was great for entertainment and dining. Dover beach was an easy walk.

Decided to book here even though I had read some bad reviews as the price and location was fantastic. The staff there was lovely the front desk receptionist Annabelle was fantastic, loads of knowledge and so helpful. We were in a junior suite and it was lovely lots of room and was lovely to walk straight out onto the pool area. Didnt hear a thing from […] the surrounding areas, but I can see that if you were in a studio room that it could be quite noisy as they do back onto the bar areas. I would highly recommend this hotel as it was great value for money, if you are going to spend alot of time in the room then this might not be for you as TV is a little old and small but was perfect for us as we were out exploring this beautiful island. The hotel proided good accommodations and all of our needs were met in a satisfactory manner. We were able to make our own breakfast using the supplies proided which was a plus. The hotel is in the midst of the action e.g. Karaoke pub , restaurants, other food vendors on the street, atm machine, bank, Internet cafe, small groceries, etc. The Karaoke pub is very loud though, so I woukd not recommend for someone who does not like loud music. I love the spacious 25ft pool, the beautiful ocean view, the birds that always pay you […] a visit when you are eating in the porch and the close proximity of the hotel to the main road for easy transport. The hotel will be ideal if they could reclaim the beach in front of them because there is no direct access to the beach from the hotel. Must say though, that my whole family enjoyed the stay there. Really nice service we arrived before check-in time, however, the receptionist had the room ready for us. The room was clean and with the most beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. We had problems with the AC, so we just turned it off and opened the balcony doors at night, which resulted in falling asleep and waking up to all the tranquil sounds […] of the ocean. The service was really good at the hotel, both when we called about our broken toaster and when we needed new batteries for the TV remote controller, the maintenance people were in the room within 5 min. It was absolutely perfect. You had to pay a deposit for beach towels, however, that was a good thing because it meant that you could get a new towel when necessary and when we returned the towels at check-out, we got the deposit back. If you are looking for a nice hotel in the gap, you should choose Baywatch Hotel. The only problem we had was that the name of the hotel is not Baywatch Hotel, but South Gap resort. That meant that it took us some time to find the hotel at arrival in Barbados. Mehr

The South Gap Hotel is right in the middle of the St Lawrence Gap and convenient for all restaurants and bars in the area. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Major problem is that there is an open air Karaoke bar that starts at 9 pm every evening and does not stop until 2 or 3 am right opposite the hotel. Spent a few days at South Gap, very ideal location to get transportation and right in St. Lawrence Gap with lots of activity. Taxis are right outside the hotel or just a 5 mins stroll to get a maxi or bus. Fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. Lovely view of the ocean. Wasn't impressed by the pool and restaurant so didn't make use of it, however […] room had a small kitchenette with cooker, kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave and all utensiles. Made my own breakfast and sat on my porch overlooking the ocean. Wonderful way to wake up. Staff were friendly and helpful especially the receptionist at the front desk. There was also a hospitality lounge where you could stay after check out at no extra cost if you have a later flight. And as a female travelling alone, I felt very safe there. We were concerned due to reviews about the music in the Gap. Upon our arrival we originally had the typical studio room. These rooms are small, however, I am 6'4" 265 lbs, so all rooms are small. From that room you could hear the music, but just barely, and if you closed the bath windows, and door, you heard nothing. The next morning we asked to see […] one of the first floor jr. suites. These are great, and a cheap upgrade. I would highly recommend starting there, for an extended stay. You walk right out to the patio area, and the ocean. The staff was incredible. We stayed 8 nights, and by the 2nd day the staff all knew us. They were so helpful. We switched to the South Gap, about 10 days prior, from another hotel on the Gap. We just thought we would like the view better. Boy am I glad we did. This is not a luxury resort. This is as advertised a 2 star hotel. There is a bar/restaurant, whose staff was extremely friendly, as they were right next door to our room. We are in our late 30's and do not drink or party much anymore. This was just perfect for us. We are going back in a few months, and will be back at the South Gap, you just cant beat the locale and price. Walking distance to Dover Beach, and several restaurants, including the Harlequin right next door. There is security at night, a parking lot with private access for rental cars, and a police mobile home right in front. So I would say it is one of the safest places in Barbados. Mehr

I love the idea that it was close to every where that I wanted to go. It was right across from the lively scene and walking distance to Dover Beach. Do not be afraid just because it across from all the clubs, because security is really tight and they make sure that ur safety comes first . If you want a solid 2 1/2 star resort, this is the one for you. Rooms very clean, food decent, specialty restaurant fantastic but there is a charge for steak, lobster or shrimp. Besides the check-in process, everything went fine. The shower was lousy because whoever hung the curtain rod hung it way too far inside the shower area. Made the shower really small.

The location of the south gap hotel is perfect because it's rt there where all the action is however, if u don't plan on partaking in the club scene then this is not the hotel to stay at because u can ear the music as clear as day while in ur rm. All of the rms have ocean views and views of the strip. So u don't have to leave ur fl in order to c what's […] goin on on the strip. The hotel does not have a beach but they do have a nice size pool. The hotel nex door does have a beach although it is small. Would def stay here again. Staff were cordial and professional. We zijn voor de 1e keer in Barbados en met dit hotel is het helemaal genieten. Super mooi uitzicht op de zee. Je kunt lekker eten, zwemmen, goede airo, vriendelijke mensen. Als wij weer naar Barbados komen dan zullen wij hier weer verblijven.
