Hotel Piazza Bellini - Naples

Obwohl man es in einer Stadt wie Neapel nicht erwarten kann, hatten wir ein sehr ruhiges Zimmer nach hinten raus. Fruestueck war fuer Italien sehr ordentlich. Die Umgebung mit Studentenviertel- Flair ist fuer den der es mag, angenehm. Die Altstadt ist sehr nah.

Ein im hektischen Umfeld von Neapel zentral gelegenes, dennoch nahezu idyllisch gelegenes Hotel mit modernem Design, das uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Reizvoll ist auch die nahe gelegene Piazza Bellini mit aparten Cafes bzw. Restaurants.

Décoration très originale, beaux volumes, magnifique hôtel très bien entretenu, bon accueil, chambre très confortable et calme. Seul bémol le petit déjeuner qui est très limité dans les choix, café servi dans un thermos... dommage pour l'italie !

Gute Unterkunft im Herzen der Altstadt - innen angenehm schlicht gestaltet, erstaunlich ruhig auf der Hofseite.

Hotel was a bit querky. Rooms were clean and functional. Not somewhere you would want to just hang out but downstairs area was pleasant. Breakfast was basic. Hotel and immediate area seemed safe but found Naples very seedy. Markets and street traders everywhere. Surprisingly food in Naples was disappointing. Apparently Brandi is the best place for pizza […] but book in advance. Free wifi which was good. Mehr

I was traveling alone and wanted a neighborhood that was safe. Hotel Bellini though a bit more expense was worth the peace of mind. I had heard horror stories about the train station area, and was only staying in Naples to catch an early morning flight the next day. This place is a metro stop plus a several block walk, but it is central to almost anything […] you want to see in Naples. The hotel is new/modern, clean, very comfortable and offered a vey nice breakfast. My only complaint is that none of the computers were working. Locking my documents and credit cards in the room safe left me less stressed about theft/pickpockets so I as much more relaxed strollong about in the crowds. Mehr

Neighbourhood was filthy dirty, piles of rubish in the streets, graffitti on the walls, creepy back alleyways leading to the hotel. TV was tiny with no English channels, no Tea/coffee makig facility, breakfast was very basic. Staff helpful butoverall not worth the cost per night.

Just off quaint little piazza Bellini with its lively cafes, this hotel is in a great spot. Easy walking to all main historic centre sites. Nice buffet breakfast and lovely courtyard where you can relax after sight-seeing with a glass of wine

We spennt several weeks travelling around Europe, balancing hotel costs with other expenses and this hotel was the best of the trip. Venice is a maze of alleyways and our hotel seemed initially distant from the maiin canal with all our luggage but we realized quickly that 1-2 bridge crossings and short walking distance from the ferry terminal was easyl. […] Add to the good location so many good-great reastaurants, laudromat, and San Marco within 5 min walk it was a great locatoin for us. The area is safe and well lit and the rooms were amazing. Mosaic tile designes running from floor to ceiling. Service was great and they spoke English fairly well. Breakfast was good. An overall great experiences and highly recommended the value of this hotel against the more pricey ones on the canal. Mehr

A very enjoyable stay in the heart of Naples. The home of Pizza, a number of superb pizza restaurants within 250 yards of the Hotel. Specifically Sorbillo and Di Mataeo (a further 100 yards along the same road), both amazing pizza's and so cheap - 2 pizza's 2 beers less than eur 15.00 - Di Mateo was though our favourite.

Excellent hotel, nice room, everything clean, and very nice breakfast. Very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the hotel for anyone that would like to know Naples, very close to the historical center.

This hotel was a relatively straightforward walk from the central railway station and ideally placed for anyone who enjoys wandering around a bustling inner city and exploring its back alleys. Piazza Bellini is a wonderful cool hotel. Outside, an old historic building, inside cool urban modern vibe. Free wifi is nice. WIne service is also affordable and a convenient way to wind down. If there is a down side, it has to be the area it is located in. Naples isn't a sparkling clean city, far from it actually. However, the area Piazza Bellini […] is in can seem pretty scary at night. This was an excellent hotel located in the heart of Naples, with close access to the metro, wonderful restaurants and loads of shopping. I found the hotel to be technologically advanced, and had the feel of a West Coast US (LA) style hotel - very chic, modern and contemporary. An outstanding hotel in the heart of Naples. We stayed in five hotels on our trip to Italy. this was the best of the five. Great service staff, willling to go the extra kilometer to make our stay in Naples a memorable experience. We highly recommend this hotel. Very nice renovation. Helpful staff. Very good value for the location.

Location of this hotel is within walking distance of all major city sights. The reception staff were all extremely helpful with any of our queries. Because the hotel is in two buildings connected with a covered walkway our room necessitated a lift to 2nd floor and stairs back to the 1st floor. Buffet breakfast selection was adequate. It was good to […] have free access to internet on any of the 3 computers in main lobby. Only negative would be there was not a large covered common sitting area. Very nice hotel just a couple of blocks to the museum. Beautiful gated (& locked) courtyard. You must be buzzed in to enter at any time of day. Our room was on the 5th floor with a lovely view of the castle area. Very comfortable bed, good air conditioning. Lots of storage. Very good breakfast. The Cafe Letterario on the Piazza Bellini across the street […] very nice for coffee, lunch or just a glass of wine. You don't even have to leave the neighborhood for the best sights. It is a modern and stylish hotel with a very convenient location.

This hotel is the perfect place to get out of chaotic Napoli. Our room was clean and confortable. They have 3 computers to offer free internet which was a good thing since everyone needed access when they announce a general public transportation strike. The hotel is situated at walking distance from the metro at Piazza Dante and its many stores and […] narrow streets. Tips: Since there's no metro to bring you to the port, unless you really like to walk (we did it once). This is a fabulous hotel in the madness of Naples. It is very quiet, lovely courtyard to sit and have a drink. Room was spacious (a single). Hotel staff really friendly and helpful. So much choice for breakfast. Would not hesitate to stay again - or recommend to anyone

A wonderful hotel with excellent, friendly staff and first rate security given that Naples is rough. Thoroughly recommend this hotel, it was a joy and we loved Naples as well. There are wonderful things to see, the staff have secure arrangements with cab drivers, so eg, Capri is easy to do. There are simple to use safes so one never needs to be out […] on the street with obvious high value objects. Location is good with interesting music shops, bookshops and little painting workshops where souvenirs are made.The restaurants nearby were very good with very nice staff and food was delicious. Modern facilities with courtyard that provides an oasis from the streets of historic Naples....Naples is well worth visiting. We saw some beautiful sites and the buildings surrounding are exceptionally interesting.

Hotel has interesting layout. Had to take taxi from train station since it's a long walk through a very dirty and sketchy part of the city. Rooms had a weird odour. Mini bar way too expensive. Breakfast food was good. Employees at front desk and kitchen were pleasant and helpful. Three computers in lobby came in handy.

Loved this place, it s a little gem. Naples is rough on the edges, but it has soul. The area looks a little rough but its actually pretty cool, with some good bars across the road, and an excellent pizza place around the corner. This was an incredibly well done remodel and although modern isn't my taste, it was super nice with expensive touches and comfortable to stay at. The staff is very helpful. We did feel uncomfortable with the neighborhood. The other buildings are mostly shuttered and darkened with dirt and debris on the sidewalks. We saw homeless men. Clean modern and friendly - happy to recommend

Stayed at the Piazza Bellini for 3 nights on our first trip to Naples. Its location is perfect in the old section of the city. Room was immaculate and new, breakfast was perfect and the hotel although not elaborate provided a perfect setting. The courtyard was beautiful. The staff was very firendly and helpful. Yes a cab is on EUR 10.50 from hotel to […] train station or port. Dont eat at the at Carmella around the corner and does not matter where you eat Pizza in Naples it is great. Once you get over the grafetti and the garbage of Naples you will find it to be charming and not dangerous at all. The Piazza is packed at night but you do not hear any of the city noise from inside the hotel or the rooms. Great place and a great price. Mehr

I selected this hotel as it was close to the Archeological Museum - 5 minute walk and also close to find a meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel for the money that I paid. The staff were courteous and helpful. I was a solo traveller and I felt very safe staying here.

The Hotel staff were very friendly, spoke good english and did excellent work at genuine hospitality! The hotel is very nice. It is very difficult to reach the hotel as the traffic in Napoli is chaotic and everything is difficult to find. This is a true bargain. A recently redone hotel with a bit of a funky but pleasant style in the old city. Great breakfast room and breakfast. Actual room has an incredibly comfortable bed and a shower that any hotel would be jealous of. Very helpful staff and a location at one of the most pleasant Piazzas in the city. This is a very stark and minimalist hotel--a confusing rabbit warren of uncarpeted floors and bare rooms that require both stairs and elevators to get to--weird, but not unpleasant. The staff is young and oh-so-cool and a bit on the snarky side. Whatever--just don't take their advice of where to go to dinner! We were directed to a place where we had […] the only truly bad meal I have ever had in Italy--although there seemed to be nicer places nearby in Piazza Bellini. Most of their guests appear to be German or other EU tourists. Breakfast is adequate. The #1 reason to stay at this hotel has to be its proximity to the fabulous Museo Archeologico. We loved our stay in Hotel Piazza Bellini following on advice from tripadvisor's fellow travellers. It is a great hotel, refurbished into a beautiful Pallazzo in very good taste, in a central location in Naples Centro Storico, at a walking distance to the main historical attractions with plenty of good or excellent restaurants nearby. It is amazing […] what hides behind the facades of Naples buildings! The staff was great and helpful, and I would not hesitate to return. Great Hotel. Great Location on Piazza Bellini, literally in the heart of the old city - centro storico.... walk just a couple blocks on a medieval street to GREAT pizza places, and to the suterranea (undergound city). We walked 15 or 20 minutes (safe areas) all the way to the main train station for our daytrip to Herculaneo (Pompeii)... And after walking […] all the way thru town to the Castel del Ovo(one of the furthest tourist spots in town), we got a taxi all the way back to the hotel for just 10 euro (just make sure you negotiate the price FIRST!). We only spent one night but loved the hotel, CLEAN, CUTE, SAFE. Best hotel I stayed in in Europe. Great continental brkfst INCLUDED in the price. I would stay there next time, but Naples is only for a one night stay! If you go to Rome first, be prepared: Naples is NOT Rome! It's old and chaotic - and not in a cute European way, but in a yukky, dirty, watch your wallet kind of way! Mehr

Very well located, recently refurbished, clean, quiet and comfortable. Friendly and pleasant staff. Big thank you to the breakfast room attendant for being so lovely.

The hotel is spotless and the cleaning lady left the room immaculate every morning. The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was plain simple but sufficient and the food of a high quality. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was a leisure vacation for us travelling with our two young children and we had a family room. The room was had great space and there was a second story which worked our great for our family. They were very helpful at the front desk and were able to provide good recommendations and directions to key sites. The train station is about a 20 minute […] walk from the hotel and it is very easy to get to Pompeii from the station in about 30 minutes. The hotel was in a great location and I would also definitely recommend the restaurant Bellini right next to the square because it is fantastic as well. We travel all over Europe and this was one of the better family rooms we have stayed in and I would recommend this for anyone who wants to be close to the city centre and in a modern up to date hotel. Well restored building mixing modern furnishings ans style with original features. Located in a busy part of town, get out in the morning, walk around and immerse yourself in the busy, vibrant atmosphere of Naples city center. The hotel is ideally situated for the centre and the decor is unusual. Just don't accept rooms 104-108. They are up two flights of stairs and then DOWN a steep twisting staircase. There is no lift to this area and no assistance with luggage and if you come and go a lot, it simply is not comfortable. The Reception gave us poor directions to the parking […] facility (Very expensive a day or part-day; difficult to find and REALLY cramped) and gave us wrong information about public transport. Overall, therefore, disappointing and not a recommendation from us. And if you have a car, especially don't go there! Mehr

This was a great hotel to stay in! When we arrived, the room exceeded our expectations - very clean, large and it had a balcony. We were given directions on two different areas to walk through and enjoyed both of them. The next day we took the train to Pompeii - very easy walk to the train station. The train drops you off a few metres away from the […] entrance to the site. Can't say enough good things - every staff member we talked to was polite and helpful. In order to facilitate getting there, I had printed a map out on Google, which worked well. I showed it to the taxi driver at the airport and he knew where it was. We stayed in the hotel twice - once when first arriving in Naples and then once before leaving. Both stays were great and I would highly recommend this hotel for travelers who like having a comfortable place to call 'home' in Naples! Mehr
