Die Hotelzimmer und auch die Wohnungen sind sehr groß. Wir haben Zimmer und Appartment gehabt. Es ist eine riessige Anlage die alles hat. Die Poolanlagen sind groß aber nicht so groß wie abgebildet. Die Lage ist nicht schlecht da man sehr schnell alles erreichen kann.Ein Nachteil ist das man für alles extra bezahlen muß. Wär am Pool die Schwimmreifen […] will die man braucht um sich im Wasser treiben zu lassen und wer die Kinderrutschen und sonstige Animationssachen mitbenutzen will muß extra bezahlen. Wir waren Ende August 2011 im Holiday Inn Club Vacations. Die Villa (Reihenhaus) war super. Alles da, um sich hier länger zu vergnügen. Siehe auch andere Bewertungen. Vorsicht beim Einchecken. Man wollte uns gleich eine Villa am belebten Highway andrehen obwohl noch andere Villen frei waren. Also unbedingt die Lage beim Einchecken prüfen. Man hat hier […] viele Stammgäste (USA, Kanada, Mexiko), die anscheinend de besten Plätze bekommen. Wir bekamen dann auch widerwillig eine andere Villa. Was uns störte ist, daß man sofort nach dem Einchecken versuchte, uns Tickets für Disney, Universal, etc .. anzudrehen, verbunden mit einer 90-Minutenpräsentation am Folgetag. Nur dann gäbe es die verbilligten Tickets. Diese Masche ist wohl in Florida derzeit üblich, da man das auf unserer Rundreise überall versuchte. Erstens ist die Ersparnis nicht so groß wie angegeben, zweitens ist der Vormittag am Folgetag futsch. Die wenige Urlaubszeit ist mir dafür zu schade. Unsere Meinung, man sollte den Urlaubsgästen mal die Clublandschaft ausreichend erklären und zeigen als gleich wieder Tickets als "Hotel Present" zu verkaufen. Typisch USA ... making money. Wir hatten ein "kleines" Haus bekommen, welches voll ausgestattet war. 2 Schlafzimmer, 2 Badezimmer, Wohnzimmer, großer Esstisch, große voll ausgestattete Küche, inkl. Mikrowelle, Backofen, Waschmaschine, Trockner, Kaffeemaschine, Kühl- und Gefrierschrank. Es hat absolut nichts gefehlt! Zimmer und Bad super sauber, was uns das wichtigste ist. Wir haben […] uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Auch das Personal ist größtenteils sehr freundlich. Allerdings sollte man die Anlage nicht ohne Mietwagen buchen, da sie unwahrscheinlich groß ist und ein bisschen außerhalb liegt. Ohne Auto wird das keinen Spass machen. Es gibt mehrere Swimmingpools, Restaurants und jede menge Unterhaltung auf dem Areal. Ebenfalls finden Happy Hours statt, bei denen die Getränke richtig günstig sind. (Bier 2 USD) Selten eine Anlage in dieser größe gesehen, welche dann auch noch super sauber und komfortabel ist. Unserer Meinung nach uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen, wenn man ein Auto hat! Mehr

Dieses Hotel hat alles was man für einen schönen Aufenthalt in Orlando braucht ! Uns ist an einer guten Lage für Restaurants Einkaufen und Besuch der Pärke.

Super Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Nahe bei allen Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Disney, Universal, Outlet etc. Sehr sehr grosse Anlage, alles nur mit Auto zu erledigen. Publix Supermarkt gerade beim Areal. Kleines Anfangset von Putzmittel, Zucker, Salz alles vorhanden. Es wird nicht geputzt. Pools für Kinder super, mit Rutschbahn, Sehr langsamer Fluss, der mit […] Gummiringen zu erkunden ist. Mehr

I would highly recommend orange lake went for business and pleasure with family.

Everything was good except for the knock on the door at 8:30 am by housekeeper to see if we were still in the room. I have stayed here many times and this has happen before waking everyone up. If you have until 10 am to check out you shouldnt be bother before hand.

It was different experience but make sure you do not take 1 bedroom in river side.

The 2 bdrm, 2 bath suite was very spacious. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. The location was close to Disney. The Target & Publix nearby made it very easy to utilize the kitchen. However, we won't stay here again! We were on the 4th floor and a huge roach was on the end table. That was not a pretty scene between my daughter and myself. Pool […] area was highly advertised but you must be over 48" to go on the slide, water was freezing, (grandsons had blue lips) other amenities were charged by the single use or day/multi-day pass ($35) (big water slide - not into pool, bungie/trampoline jump, rock wall climb and the lazy river ride - $9!!) The big pool area was over 1 mile away. Had to load up the car etc. to get there! Once there we decided to order lunch and stay by the pool/sand area. My husband and son-in-law went to the kiosk to order lunch. We were told we had to order from the waitress that was serving the area where we were sitting. We saw her in the morning passing out menus but never saw her again. We waited 45 min. looking for her. We finally packed up drove to fast food, ordered drive thru and went back to the condo. We will definately go back to this hotel. It has the feel of an all inclusive type of resort-7 pools & 9 restaurants all on the property-no reason to ever leave! Next time we go to Florida we want to stay here and only venture off the property once in a while-spending the rest of the time just hanging around the resort soaking up the wonderful suns […] hine! We loved it!! It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in several years. We actually are now owners at the Orange Lake Resort!

good for first trip

We had a 3 bedroom unit in the East Village. Rate for the week was very,very reasonable. The unit itself was large, very clean and up to date. Loved the full kitchen and washer/dryer. The grounds are very pretty and the pool areas very nice. The grounds are very secure. We were approached upon our arrival about a timeshare. We told them we wanted a […] few days to see everything and if interested we would let them know...did get one followup call...but that was it. Much better experience than we've had at other resorts! I would suggest eating at Breezes over the restaurant at River Island...much quicker/better service. If we went back to Orlando we would stay here again without question. The only thing lacking was the ocean. If the resort had been on the coast we would have seriously considered a timeshare. Mehr

The place was great, the facilities and staff were good and the proximately to the resort parks was also great. BUT the hard core sales pitch for time shares was a big turn off. I travelled half the day by car a plane to get there with two kids. Then I waited on a check-in line for about 30 minutes. After getting my room keys, I was escorted to a sales […] desk where they would not take no for an answer to going to their slaes pitch for time shares - when all I and the kids wanted to do was get to our room. The, when I said OK, they didn't have the time slot they were pitching to me and wanted me to book a tour later in the week - and pay a "fine" I said no way. He said OK. AND THEY STILL PUT THE FINE ON MY ACCOUNT FOR WHEN I WENT TO CHECK OUT! Mehr

It was so close to everywhere we wanted to go. Friendly staff. When they called to get me to go to a time share meeting i told them i was not interested and was not bothered the rest of the trip. Had plenty of room in our villa and everything needed was there. My kids had a blast in the pools. Would for sure stay again!

Overall very happy with our stay- large rooms, clean, great pools to play in, close to Disney.

Holiday Inn sign difficult to see from main road if not previously aware that it exists. The room was clean. We realized that is not a hotel, is an apartment rental (security deposit was taken from us at check-in), and mostly intersted in time-consumming time-sharing promotions. Garbage containers outside for collection are insuficient, and no recycling […] bins. There was no indication that the apartment assigned to us would be on a walk-up second floor, and up we went, the old, the todler, the suitcases. Directions to our room were given wrong at the registration desk. It would have been useful to say and indicate that there was a parking card among the papers given to us at check-in to be placed on the dashboard required to re-gain access into the grounds of the complex through gate security. The place looks different than what it is posted online. Disappointed. Mehr

Excellent!!! My kids loved!!!

We've stayed here the last four times we've gone to Disney/Seaworld. For a family, it has lots to do but doesn't hurt your wallet. The beds aren't the greatest but we are willing to sacrifice a little comfort for the attractive price of the hotel stay.

The room was promised for four oclock. Got to the room at 5:45 no maid in sight and the room was dirty. Sheets on floor dirty wash cloths, no towels, a/c was off. I called the desk and they said they were short on sheets reason the beds were not done. I said the whole room is not done. Toilet in master bathroom was dirty and clogged. Three calls to […] the front desk, ten cleaning people later and the room was done at 6:50pm. Too late for the five of us to shower before dinner reservations. No compensation offered what so ever. Hotel was very nice but it was a pain to drive to the nice pool everyday. Extremely large resort like a small city. Almost needed a golf cart per room so you don't have to pile everyone in the car each time you want to go to River Island pool.

The room description is not what we received. We were to have a 1 bedroom but we got a studio and they gave us the run around about whether or not they could get us into a bigger room. They never did but we made do. The resort is huge lots of pools restaurants had great food and lots of activities so if you like to be in a place you never need to leave […] this is the place for you. Lazy river is great and free shuttle takes you everywhere in resort but you pay for using tubes and putt putt and pay extra for housekeeping and towel laundring etc so i felt like they try to nickle and dime you to death. The sales presentation was pushy and after telling 4 different reps "no " and being there 3.5 hours I was heavily irritated. Mehr

When we first checked in at this resort, I thought we were going to be disppointed. When I booked by looking online and actually calling Hotels.com to complete the booking, I thought I was getting one of the single level house type rooms to stay in. When we were given our room # and found it to be on a second floor hotel complex, we thought ok here […] we go this is not what we paid for. But after going into the room, I would compare it to a very nice condo. It had the granite top counters through out, 2 full baths, 2 bedroom(1king, 2Queen) nice working kitchen with microwave, late model clean refrigerator, dishwasher, etc. There was also washer and dryer, They supplied some packages of detergents and dishwasher soap. Deck with master bedroom or dinning walkout over looking golf course. Easy access from 2nd floor to parking lot with elevator and stairs. 24 hr Security at gate entrance. Several shops on all over the resort. We were located near gate entrance area, Lazy river is at other end, looking at 5 - 6 minute drive through resort in your car or you can use free shuttle busses that come every 15 -20 minutes. So if you had older children, they could almost get around on thier own. We were only staying here for 2 days, If I had known it would be this nice with numerous activities, we would have spent at least a week here. Only about20 min to Universal. Great sidewalks and trails to walk onor run.It is a cashless resort just carry your room key to pay for things, and they ask for last name to insure you are the true key owner. Our biggest disapointment was the short stay we did not get to use or see all 7 pools, or activities . After checkin they want you to attend a time share meeting, we told them we dont have time and not interested, after that we were never approached again. This was a complaint I previously saw on a review, but it was not bad at all for us, hassels.Would come here again and would recommend tyhis place to anyone going to Central Florida. Mehr

Chairs on balcony were very uncomfortable, otherwise rooms were beautiful and super comfortable. Wi-Fi was very spotty and slow and the chairs at the pool fill up quickly... got get a chair by 8am or you are out of luck at the River Pool. Other than those couple things, had a great stay and would definately come back again.

We arrived at 11:00 and didn't get a crib for my 8 month old until1:30 am!!! To say the lease we weren't pleased and very tired the next day at Disney :(

We were disappointed in that there was not full disclosure re the extra fees. When we checked in we paid $7+/day for a resort fee (use of the pools, shuttle, etc.) I specifically asked if this included the "Lazy River" and was told it did. However, when we arrived at the Lazy River we were told we could get in the Lazy River but we would have to pay […] $9/person for the tubes. We were not upset at the price, but we were upset because this was not disclosed when we checked in despite the fact that I specifically asked. The room had only one mirror (over the sink in the bathroom), there was no dresser in the bedroom. Some drawers were available under the flat screen console in the living room. We asked for the trash to be emptied which never occurred. The inside drawers in the kitchen needed repainting (chipped paint). Arms of coach dirty. Check-in staff not very professional. (Young). Although the price was reasonable, I would use Hotel.com again. We have always had good results with this website. However, we would never stay here again nor recommend this resort. Mehr

The hotel was very nice and very clean, I got to the hotel and was checked in. They booked me in and changed my room not sure why, everytime I went to use my room number they had no record of me on the resort. I had to have my key reprogrammed twice as the locks changed on the door or I got locked out of the room. I would also have liked fresh towels […] for the room instead of having to do my own laundry. Lots of activities and different pools to choose from

The Holiday Inn at Orange Lake Resort in Florida is a wonderful location to stay at if visiting the Orlando area. Close to all the parks and many other areas. Resort was clean and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again next time I plan to go to Orlando.

The review is mixed because we usually have a wonderful experience there . This time when we arrived at 8 pm we had requested a lower level unit . they gave us a 3rd level and said they had no control over it . we get in the room outside was laundry and garbage from the maid service . it remained there all night . We left and went to eat returned at […] 10:30 pm the room was warm so we turned the air down and it smelled musty . as the night went on the oder got worse of mold . Also got hotter The ac was broke and the hotwater heater was leaking and the ac closet was full of mold . There had been a leak prior to use being there the whole hallway reaked of mold from the carpet .So I tried calling the front desk . It took me 20 min to get through .This is about 1:30 am now . I told them the problem and they said they would get back to me . It took another 30 min to call me back . They said they would move us to another unit . the kicker is They moved us to a unit we requested to begin with . One they said they couldnt put us in hours earlier . So I got my kids up and moved them to the new room at 2:30 am .haveing to get up at 6 am for our event we were there for . The room we was moved to was great and pleasant but the service was bad on arrival . Which I payed alot of money for this sweet and I dont feel I Should have been billed for the first night . since I spent it moving back and forth and on the phone with the front desk Mehr

Great place - close to almost everything very good golf, and water park

This resort has excellent choices for families in all sort of activities. The pool facilities, especially for kids, is outstanding. Even with children on vacation there are also plenty of quiet spots for adults. Restaurant choices are plentiful both on and off premises. An absolute return destination

Had an awesome time! Staff very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay at.

We were here mid Jan. We were four adults, and three kids and were given a wonderful villa with two full bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room, dining room table, full kitchen, with every utensil, pots, pans, even a corkscrew. Publix is right down the street along with plenty of restaurants if you don"t feel like cooking. With a lovely backyard […] patio right on the golf course. We had full access to any of the pools. 1.8 miles from Disney World. All for a VERY nominal price, Wow! Maybe the prices are higher at other times of year but it was really cool having our own little house for three nights. The service was excellent. I heartily reccomend this. Mehr

Our king suite was exceptionally spacious and very clean. It was updated and comfortable with 2 flat panel tvs, a small kitchenette w/granite countertop, microwave, small stovetop & fridge. The only downside was that our view was of the inside courtyard, so no daylight thru the window, kind of like being in an inside cabin on a cruise. But at $$/night […] (with another $20 in taxes & resort fees) it was a very good value for the location. Not far from DisneyWorld and the pools and other amenities are great. If you let them know right from check-in that you are not interested in hearing the timeshare spiel, they will not harass you at all. Mehr

I picked this hotel because my brother from Canada switched his time share to florida. I am from Weston Fl and drove up to meet him. I missed the entrance to the hotel even though I had a GPS. When I called my brother he said it was across from the Target...I then noticed the changing sign indicating the entrance. It took me another 10minutes to drive […] to the check in desk....several times I thought I was going in circles because everything looked the same. At about 7:30pm I wanted to take a bath...No Hot Water!!! Other than that it is an exciting place for kids and time share families. The room was huge and clean. Mehr
