Amelia Hotel at the Beach - Fernandina Beach

Günstig gelegenes Hotel zum Strand. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer. Frühstück wurde in der Lobby angeboten Sehr freundliches Personal - uns wurden Strandstühle und Strandhandtücher kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und sogar einen Tag verlängert

This is a lovely hotel near the downtown and across the street from the beach. Consider upgrading to a room w/a balcony---we did, and it really enhanced our stay.

husband had turkey sausage on Sat that made him sick.

OverALL, WE WERE PLEASED WITH OUT STAY. oUR ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE AND HOTEL IS IN A GOOD LOCATION. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD. ROOM KEY DEACTIVATED ABOUT 15-20 BEFORE ACTUAL CHECKOUT TIME WHICH WAS ANNOYING.

Front desk not very informative & housekeeping was extremely unacceptable. Upon arrival our linens were dirty & we had 2 change our own sheets!!!

Enjoyed how close it was to the beach, the room and hotel was nice. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the bedsheets in our room,they seemed past the usable point. In the middle of the night, I woke up and was stuck to the sheets, it wasn't enough to make me never sleep there again considering it is just one bed flat bed sheet but they should […] throw them out once they start to pill. Everything okay ---A Tourist Town --no different than any Tourist Town pushing guest to support local places---had to find out by ourselves the good resturants from the BAD Ones ---.

I absolutely loved this hotel:) it was convenient and the staff was really warm welcoming. I wud defiantly recommend this hotel to friends and family. Breakfast was also a winner. When the say a hot free breakfast that's exactly what you get and so much to choose from. Can't wait to book another stay with them:) Oh and they did a great job at keeping […] the room clean!! Mehr

Loved the room, the hot breakfasts, the location, the friendly staff. Constant problems w/ wi-fi (hotel staff had to reset router several times, possibly due to frequent power surges) bothered me a little, but since internet usage was not my principal reason for visiting Amelia Island, it didn't figure into my rating. The staff was extremely nice and helpful....especially suggesting restaurants and attractions. The location (directly across the street from the public beach) was perfect for a family looking to enjoy spring break.

Great value for money and staff very helpful

The Amelia Hotel is Florida's best kept secret. Great staff at the front desk, maintenance, food service, housekeeping and everyone who works there. The room was clean and the beds were great. Wonderful breakfast and location. We will make this a yearly stop and hope to stay for a longer period of time to explore this beautiful island!

From the staff to the hotel to the location - absolutely excellent. We stayed on our way down March 7 and like it so much we bolled 2 nights on the way back March 22. Would definitely reommend.

The staff was wonderful. The entire hotel was very clean. However, the pleace could use some upgrades. Furniture and beds were dated. Bedding was not high quality. If you are looking for a friendly, sevice oriented place to stay, and don't care about the aesthetics, this is a great hotel.

We were not impressed for the price. The breakfast was O.K. but nothing special. Overall it is too expensive for what they offer.

Very clean, helpful, friendly and accomodating staff. Only complaint was poor soundproofing between rooms.

Great experience at this hotel. Very clean and staff very helpful and friendly. The stay here was a pleasure with no problems at all. Right across street from a beach access and small public park with covered pavilions . Hot breakfast with other breads, bagels, cereal and yogurt available too. Good and reasonable seaside restaurant also across street. […] Several other restaurants , and shopping within a half mile from hotel. We got an amazing special rate at Hotels.com for our 4 night stay. We will be back to beautiful and peaceful Amelia Island. Mehr

Great location! Average room. maids do not understand the "do not disturb" signs. On 2 different nights the front desk booked someone into the room I was staying. I would stay ther again because of the location. Not much of a view from the room.

From checkin to checkout it was a pleasant experience

The people are wonderful who work there. Breakfast was ok. The beach is great. I stayed a week and the hotel staff upgraded me to the beach side that was a wonderful treat and scores a ten!!!!

Spent 7 nights in Feb with wife and son, great location. Would have liked a bit of a change in breakfast , after 7 days of biscuts, sausage and scrambled eggs, it got a bit old. Everyone was really nice except the morning guy at the front desk.

Wonderful place - friendly and helpful staff - good breakfast - comfortable room - right across the street from a fun eating establishment, and, of course, the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight and will return when we get the chance.

Perhaps my expectations were low, but this hotel turned out to be excellent. Only two issues were 1) fitness facility consisted of 3 pieces of equipment, and 2) not enough seating for breakfast (which simply meant I had to take my food back up to my room). Easy access to beach and to good bar/ restaurant across the street; great bed and bath; and quiet. […] Will hopefully have a chance to stay here again! Mehr

This was a wonderful place to stay. Across the street from the beach,within walking distance of several good places to eat. The staff was always friendly, upbeat and helpful. Even though it is located so close to the beach do not expect an ocean view from your room. It's only three floors and there is a three story restaurant across the street between […] you and the beach. But who goes to the beach to stare at it through a window. Get out and enjoy the breeze, sand and water. Even in February it was comfortable on the beach in shorts this year. The hotel serves a continental breakfast every morning, 6am - 10am with the basics. It was very good the three mornings I was there. Hot and fresh. They have coffee available 24/7 and put out fresh baked cookies in the late afternoon. I will stay there again when in the area for any reason. Mehr

We had a lovely stay at the Amelia. It was well cared for, the staff was very friendly, and for the price you can't beat the location, right across the road from a beautiful beach. We highly reccommend it!

The hotel was more than expected for the money and being across the street from the beach. Had a good breakfast every morning and would definitely stay here again

We stayed here in January and were very pleased with our room and the hotel overall. It was a nice surprise to have a warm breakfast on a chilly morning, including warm biscuits. The woman who checked us in was friendly, and our room was spotlessly clean and roomy. The bed was super comfortable. We would stay there again.

Stayed one night. Its just a few miles from downtown Fernandina. Right across the street from the beach. Cookies and breakfast included. Will stay here again.

We went during December and it was warm (it was snowing back home) and we got an off season rate! It was not very crowded and was quiet. The beds were really comfortable and everything was clean. The staff were very nice and helpful, they gave us directions and told us which restaurants to go to (or to avoid). It was a quick few steps to the beach and […] a short car ride to downtown. I found the hotel to be very clean and the rooms very comfortable. The service was very good and the location to the beach and restaraunts was good. The breakfast was at best average. For the price I would highly recommend the hotel.

Across the street from the beach, next to restaurants, pubs and family activities. Would stay there again.

Is exactly what you would expect for the price. The room is big n will all you need. You have to cross the street to access the beach but really not far at all.

i was second guessing booking the hotel but i called and asked questions like how old the hotel was, were the pictures online accurate, things to do near etc. the hotel.com rep. had answers to everthing. she even gave me a discount for booking with her. My four year old son LOVED it. Two weeks later he is still asking if we can go back to the other […] house with breakfast down stairs. (referring back to the hotel). The location is great its so close to the beach the only thing separating the beach and the hotel was a bar. The only thing i didn't like was that the mattress was falling off the frame and i didnt realize it until the night before we were sch to leave. Thats why the bed is sinking and my back is sore. The fresh baked cookie in the afternoon were wonderful. The games at the front desk were really fun. the breakfast was good and filling. We tried The Amelia Hotel on the Beach during a quick, first visit to Amelia Island over Thanksgiving weekend. It is very convenient to the beach, Fort Clinch State Park and downtown Fernandina Beach. The free breakfast was quite good for this caliber of hotel.
