Quality Hotel Excel Ciampino Airport - Marino

Bevor man hinfährt, muss man den Stadtplan genau studieren-eigentlich einfach zu finden, aber nur wenn man weiss, wo es wirklich liegt. Kann nachts ein Problem werden, denn keiner hat uns den Weg richtig beschreiben können. Also: bei google maps nachsehen, dann ist´s leicht. The hotel is really nice, but those, who want to visit Rome should be aware that it is 17 km away from the city centre and without your own car or scooter, the journey to Rome is uncomfortable. However, the surroundings are very nice, sweet little restaurants and a lake in the next city. The people are nice and helpful, but only breakfast is provided […] in the hotel itself. Das Hotel ist durchaus zu empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück ist nicht das Beste für italienische Verhältnisse, aber es ist alles Wichtige für ein Frühstück da und man kann sich satt essen. Der Kaffee (Espresso und Capuccino) ist, wie in Italien üblich, überdurchschnittlich gut. Es ist zu beachten, dass das Hotel […] etwas außerhalb Roms (ca. 20km zum Zentrum) liegt. So kann man den hoteleigenen Shuttleservice gegen Entgelt nutzen, um in die Innenstadt zu kommen. Wenn man flexibel sein möchte, sollte man ein Auto im Zugriff haben. Damit kann man zur nächsten grösseren Metro-Station fahren und mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ins Zentrum fahren. Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im Hotel und sind mit dem Auto angereist. Hotel was clean, room fully air condition , service very good, friendly and helpful staff, free internet access, tasty and fresh food. Recommend to everyone flying from Ciampino Airport.

It is very very good hotel for family we had very good time good staff it is just away from the city so whom have car it is very good hotel

This hotel's got in fact really good quality. It's actually a resort. Good fitness facillity. Free wifi available. In fact, this place was really cheap (cheaper than any other places in Europe during our travel, but far better quality) if you are travelling in Rome, maybe not a good idea to stay here. They do provide shuttle to Rome for 8 EUR. I don't […] know whether they also provide for the returning shuttle. We stayed here to catch a flight from Ciampino airport at 6:30 am. You can have a taxi for 25 EUR. (less than 10 min). So, do some calculation before booking. Mehr

I had no problems with this hotel, the front desk staff spoke English well and helped us book our taxi to the Fiumicino airport. However, we ran into problems with taxi drivers at Ciampino airport. When they realized how close our hotel was, they took us on a detour (unfortunately my smart phone which had the map on it died at the wrong moment so I […] didn't know where we were). So beware of those taxi drivers, be prepared with a map and all the hotel details including phone number. Room was clean, needed to pay to use the kitchen, had a balconey, AC worked. Breakfast buffet was okay, except they were short staffed in the dining area so there were dirty plates everywhere. There's not that much in the neighbourhood, we walked down the street until we could find some shops, but most were closed (there was one Supermarket that was open and was pretty good). Mehr

We booked this hotel for the final night of our Italian vacation thinking it would be a good idea to stay outside of the city. We encountered difficulty in getting a Rome taxi to take us to Marino. To the Romans, this is a long way out. (Since we are from Houston, this didn't occur to us when just looking at the hotel online. ) Hotel may be great, […] if it fits into your plans. It is a nice hotel. Close to public transport however it is on the outside of downtown (which we wanted) but it took a long time to get to the downtown core. The room had a patio which was nice and the breakfast was good.

I will never recommend this hotel not even for one night. The room was very dirty. A lot of stains on the couch and mold.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel overall. It was clean and the staff were all very helpful. The downsides were the lack of restarurant for a coupe nights of my stay and no reasonbale transportation for late night stay in the center of Rome. Overall I would agree with others, stay here if you have transportation or dont mine paying expensive taxi costs […] if you want to be in the center of rome after hours. Mehr

Great for staying near the airport..

This stay was a disaster.The room was middle of the road and the reception and dining room sterile and cold. Went to dine at 8:30pm and told dinner was finished!!! After arguing that it is a four star hotel we were told to come back in 30 minutes. We orde red a glass of sparkling wine and it was flat. It was replaced with bad grace. There was no red […] wine by the glass so another glass of sparkling was ordered. This came in a glass half the size of the other and could have been used as an egg cup! It also contained a very small measure.. Upon complaint the waiter made a great issue of removing the wine from the bill. We ordered omelettes because they are difficult to muck up. They were average. To cap it off we discovered in the morning that we had to share a towel. We paid and left Mehr

Hotel was near airport, but away from normal access. Resort converted into hotel. NO will not come again

I wouldn't stay in this hotel again as it is too far, and too much of a hassle to reach the city centre. You have to take the subway from termini to the end of the line, which is fine, but then you have to take a bus for about 20 minutes and you literally get off on the side of the highway. Going into the city centre was tough as well, because the bus […] stops to get to the metro from the hotel are really poorly marked. Overall, it was a nice hotel, but next time if I wanted to save some money, I would stay directly in Ciampino, that way I could take the train directly from Ciampino city centre to Rome termini (12 mins). Hotel was great... rooms were clean... enough space for parking. We stayed there for 7 nights and overall it was a good experience. Few nights were a bit noisy because of US school group of teenagers staid in the same hotel and were noisy in their activities.

This is a great hotel, with the exception of its location. If you're looking to see Rome, suggest you consider staying close to the city center. It probably is good option for business travelers with transportation.

The best thing about this hotel is location, if you have an early morning flight out of Ciampino. For that, I recommend staying at the Excel - but for any other reason, I would not stay here. The beds were very uncomfortable, the shower was ridiculously small, the amenities were very cheap. There is free WiFi and free parking - so that it helpful. Overally, […] this hotel should only have about 2.5 Stars. Because we did not pay a lot, I could live with it - if I had paid more, I would probably be upset about the stay. It was very lovely with a patio on the ground floor, quiet and charming. I loved the look and the bed was so comfortable. We stayed with 2 kids and 2 adults and we were able to shit the door to the "living room" area and have 2 rooms in the hotel. It was very roomy and close to a bus stop, the system to get to down town Rome was a bit confusing but […] it was not bad if you have the time to figure it out and the front desk gives you a map. It has a shuttle to take you to the air port however it only runs 3 times a day and if yout time does not coincide with the running times you have to take a taxi and ours charged us 35 euros to go to Ciampino airport and I thought it was a little much but we had no other choice since we left at 0500. Wished i could have slept in in the room though it was very nice. Mehr

If you are going here for sightseeing in Rome, stay away. You have to get a commuter bus to Anagnina Metro then get a half and hour tube for 14 stops down to Termini, the whole trip takes about one hour. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the Rome was of an OK standard. We were in a room right by reception and it was noisy in the mornings, […] try not to stay on the ground floor. Breakfast was adequate, continental style. Overall, pay a little bit more to stay closer to the centre, the hotel is down a busy dual carriageway so I would recommend having a car if you stay here. This is an excellent hotel set well back off the road. Ideal for us, a family of four with older children. Clean modern and confortable. Ideal for a late arrival or early flight from Ciampino. (Approx 2km) Also fine for getting to central Rome but car essential. (Approx 15km)

Hotellet er fint og med komfortable værelser. Ligger et stykke fra lufthavnen i noget ucharmerende omgivelser ganske langt fra centrum af Rom. Det er let at tage egen bil til endestation for undergrundsbane hvor der er gratis parkering. Hotel mest egnet til en enkelt overnatning i forbindelse med afrejse fra lufthavnen. Viihtyisä hotelli lähellä Ciampinon lentokenttää.

Vi boede der i tre dage, med det formål at skulle på sightseeing i Rom. Vi skulle have vidst at shuttle-bussen til og fra lufthavn og til Rom, kørte hele tiden, så havde vi med det formål vi havde valgt et hotel i Rom. Selve hotellet var ganske fint, god morgenmad og venligt personale, hotelværelset var godt, med alle faciliteter, dog irriterende man […] skulle i receptionen for at hente te/kaffe. Det ligger et stykke fra lufthavnen, så det kostede lidt i taxa hver gang vi kom fra Rom ca 20 euro hver dag, vi blev kørt til lufthavnen hver morgen af hotellets shuttlebus. Alt i alt et godt hotel, der dog beliggenheds møssigt ikke lige er helt optimalt, når man nu skal til Rom, men jo ikke hotellets skyld :-) Mehr

Et rigtig flot værelse til en rigtig god pris, men ikke særlig tæt på lufthavnen. Ingen service om aftenen, da vi ankom, eller tidligt om morgenen, da vi forlod hotellet.

Hotel davvero bello. Personale altamente disponibile e qualificato. Colazione abbondante e camere assolutamente pulite e comode. Ottima posizione per chi non vuole soggiornare in zona trafficata e troppo movimentata

PARA CENAR MÁQUINA DE SANDWICHES

Vi bodde på detta hotell den sista natten under vår resa till Italien för att vara nära flygplatsen pga tidigt flyg nästa morgon. Jag var chockad över att detta så-kallat 4-stjärnigt hotell inte hade någon restaurang, och inte någon shuttle till flygplatsen före kl 0800. Dessutom var den ena av två dubbelsängar i rummet en bäddsoffa! Vi var besvikna […] över sängen, att behöva ta taxi till flygplatsen, samt över att kvällsmaten fick bli tråkiga mackor från en automat ute i hallen... Mehr

Aunque las instalaciones son de buena calidad y la limpieza es buena, la ubicacion y los servicios del hotel son pesimos. Para llegar del aeropuerto al hotel tiene que ser por taxi y es caro. Para llegar a Roma solo pasa un bus y pasa cada media hora (pasa lleno) esta muy mal comunicado.

for en natt overnatting i nærheten av flyplassen er dette et greit hotell om du har bil utenom shuttle tiden de har satt opp. Har ikke tatt buss derfra, så kan ikke si noe om dette

Hotellet är 7kilometer från flygplatsen och taxi tar 50 euro, det är bättre att bo på ett hotell i centrala Rom

Friendly staff, beautiful room. Can't beat it for that price!

Meget flot, stort og nyrenoveret værelse. Stor balkon. Perfekt til en enkelt overnatning, hvis man skal flyve eller lige er landet. Ingen trafikstøj, kun larm fra flyvere, da det ligger tæt på Campino lufthavnen.

Tout pourrait être pârfait si l'hotel n'était pas a plus d'une heure de transport en commun de Rome!!!! Je ne parle même pas du retour...

Il personale e' molto gentile. Ottima la colazione.
