"The Village Motel - so not worth the cost"
This motel was the pits. The owners overcharged for the 2 rooms, offered only soap for amenities (no shampoo, conditioner, etc.), and the bathrooms were moldy, both ceilings and shower curtains. They may look like a bargain, but you're better off spending a little more to stay at a chain that at least offers friendlier, better service and cleaner facilities. "Village Motel"
If you need a decent place to stay in the Cooperstown neighborhood (15 miles) this worked for me. Nothing fancy but everything I needed - and a Stewarts next door for refreshments etc.

I hate to give this place a not so good review but this property is just too old! The manager tried her best but with other fine hotels in the area it just wasn't worth it.
"Village Motel Richfield, NY Reasonable Value"
Staff was very accommodating when we had to reschedule weekend. We truly appreciated their willingness and flexibility to do that! Overall, the motel was a reasonable value, but is very tired. Room was recently (1 yr?) painted and the carpet was in good shape, but the room in general needs some modernization. Old style outlets (2 prong) made plugging […] in a laptop computer very inconvenient (had to use the AC outlet and string cord in front of bathroom door). Unable to plug hair dryer into outlets in bathroom, again had to use AC outlet, because the bathroom outlets were part of the light fixtures. Had fridge and microwave in room and would have appreciated a coffee maker, even though there was a restaurant nearby. So all in all, not a bad experience at a 50's style motel that needs some work, but would check out other accommodations in the area before staying there again. Mehr
