Inn on the Paseo - Santa Fé

I was told that the inn is under new management and the innkeeper is making quality improvements. Jess, the new manager, was very helpful with all aspects of our stay. He pointed out some areas that are being upgraded, including painting. The breakfast featured fresh fruit and baked items from a local baker. The inn satisfied our needs: comfortable bed (only one chair), tasty breakfast, friendly guests, close to most things we wanted to do, quiet, clean, the host was a excellent source of information for sights and restaurants. We would definitely stay there on our next trip.

The location made it easy to walk and meet friends in the Plaza. The Inn staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great - had lots of grab-n-go items as well as homemade waffles. The room I had was first floor, right off of a sitting room and facing the street, so it didn't feel particularly private and was a bit noisy from […] the traffic. Hotel manager Jess is caring and attentive to all details. I was very comfortable and felt welcomed. Gabe made breakfast on my last day and was equally welcoming. I would stay here again happily.

I traveled alone to Santa Fe on my Spring Break. Staying at the Inn on Paseo was the best decision ever! A very down-home feel to this place...along with FRESH, homemade breakfast in the morning. It was absolutely wonderful! A free shuttle took me into town at night and brought me "home" safe and sound. I'll be back for sure!

The service was great. Jess and Gabe were very informative and knowledgable about local sites and restaurants. The facility needs work. The first room we were assigned had a leak in the bathroom. As a replacement, we were provided a slightly larger room but it had no windows - could be good for those that want no/very little light. My second time staying here, and I love it just as much. The rooms are very comfortable, and the cozy common areas make it very inviting to read a book, enjoy the fireplaces, or sip a cup of tea. This inn feels more like a home than a downtown lodging. Very peaceful environment, and yet downtown is only 3 short blocks away. The expanded continental […] breakfast has a nice variety of items + the added bonus of a freshly prepared waffle, if you so desire. The staff is very accommodating & goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. If all this wasn't enough, there's a mini shuttle that can take you to their other two properties in Santa Fe, to enjoy even more amenities. This is a gem. Mehr

Very Hospitable Hotel. Clean, friendly, Great Service.

I was surprised to find this hidden gem. The only problem, I suppose for most travelers is that it is a bit tucked away from the downtown area -- it's a strange walk. Other than that, the rooms were fantastic. The staff was great. The breakfast was phenomenal!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for only one day, and had a great time. The breakfast was really good and the common areas had a friendly atmosphere. Our room had access to a patio where you could relax or meet with family and friends. There are some creaking floorboards and you can hear voices echoing through the common areas, but that is only because […] of the age of the building and the hard floors. All in all, its a very nice place to spend the night. Also, the location to the Plaza is great, and everything seemed to be in walking distance. I had a one night stay at this location during President's Day weekend and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It has a more Bed and Breakfast feel when compared to brand name hotels. We had a great host that served a great breakfast in the morning. For that morning, breakfast included two types of quiche (green chile and cheese), waffles, blueberry […] muffins, croissants, hard boiled eggs, fruit, and toast. One of the best stays during the trip and would recommend this place to anyone staying in Santa Fe. The only gripe I have is that the building is a bit dated. Therefore the bathrooms aren't as nice as some other hotels. Something that I could live with. Mehr

I was there for 5 days to attend a conference in the convention center. Was only 5 minutes away. Also the Inn provided a nice environment to chat with colleges and enjoy free time. Close to downtown and comfortable. Another great thing is they already took care and paid for the ride from the airport and the trip back . Very thoughtful. We have stayed here on two previous occasions and indeed will return. Joylene is a great hostess and has forever captured our business in the future. Jordan was also very helpful and made us feel very welcome. There had been a slight misunderstanding regarding our reservation the last time we stayed, and they more than made up for it by upgrading our […] room. We stayed in Santa Fe for a romantic quick get away with friends all leaving the kids with grand parents. The Inn on Paseo was very close to the Plaza. It was clean and was tastefully Santa Fe. The complimentary breakfast was great and the coffee was amazing. No one was at the desk when we arrived to check in but there was a phone number and someone […] quickly came to attend to us and get us situated. Location was convenient to plaza and center of town. Room was small, but about what we expected, and bed was very comfortable. Hotel was very clean and had more of a B&B feel but without a caretaker/ owner. We arrived at 6:30 PM and, despite having lobby hours until 7 pm, had to call someone to direct us to a lockbox to find the key (in the dark, and […] it wasn't warm outside.) Hotel staff leaves at 5, so not exactly "service oriented" and they could have given us instructions ahead of time. Mehr

Not what is advertised to be. When I pay a suite price, I expect a suite. No room. No amenities. Would have been just as comfortable at a roadside motel for half the price.

Overall a nice place. Room was a bit cold as the wall heater was just blowing cold air, but thankfully they had a small gas fireplace, so as long as you were close to that, it was okay. Room was very clean, if a bit worn around the edges. Probably won't stay again, just because I am not that in to B&Bs.

The owner could not have been nicer. The breakfast was nice, but the location was fantastic. Nice homey room. We would definitely stay here again.

I loved the place. I highly recommend it to others, just a short distance to downtown,. nice staff, great continental breakfast, wonderul and pleasant rooms. Can not say enough about it and would surely use it again on a return trip.

This little Inn was wonderful. Two blocks from plaza and three from canyon road. The sister hotel is the Santa Fe Inn and Spa. So, you are able to have a shuttle pick you up to use the hot tub and pool. The room was small but very nice. Many places to relax in the Inn. The breakfast was wonderful and cookies, hot Tea and coffe are always available.

Lovely accommodations however I booked a king bedroom but was told it was not available to me and was given a queen with a fireplace. That was nice but even the hostess commented that the fireplace would definitely be too hot to use at this time of season. Did they get a better price for the room I reserved?

The Inn on the Paseo was conveniently located. It had a warm feel, with delicious home made cookies and muffins available, 24/7. There was no front desk person on site all the time and no internet access...so the guests were sort of on their own, in a large house. I chose this B&B, which is what it is, not a hotel, for the convenience and the charm. Well, it is fairly convenient. I was able to walk to the shopping/retail parts of Santa Fe, but finding the Inn and parking while attempting to check-in is very difficult. It is on a fast, two-lane, cut-through street. So if you aren't sure of where it is, you will […] most likely miss it a few times before seeing it. It is only approachable from one direction-- heaven forbid making the left into the tiny pullout, although theoretically you can make a left. And if you arrive afterhours, like I did, you must have a working cell-phone and two hands and be able to work a combination lock, read paperwork, and listen to verbal directions all at the same time. Not the easiest set-up, although the person on the phone was very nice and patient. My room was right off of the main hallway. Very quiet, set up nicely, comfortable bed. The water is very hot and the shower works well. I was a little unsure of the cleanliness of the place. It is old and therefore, some grouting is stained, curtains not crisp, blinds not shining, bedspread? looked clean, but due to lack of any other blanket I had to use it (I usually fold up the bedspreads because I'm not ever sure of how often bedspreads are cleaned). It was fine, just not outstanding. The breakfast was very nice-- plenty of choices, lots of fruit, breads, hard-boiled eggs and waffles cooked fresh. You share a big table with the other guests. I will try a few other places in Santa Fe before I go back here, but it I'd choose this Inn over any motel chain. My friends were at the hilton and they were non-plussed with that. So...maybe Santa Fe is just more "quaint" than I expected. Mehr

Loved this hotel for its location and EXCELLENT breakfast. The room was a little small and happened to be on the lower level so a little dark, but it was clean and nice. Definitely recommend for a good value option easily walkable to the Plaza and rest of downtown.

Notice the smaller print that the room assigned to you may not be as pictured.....which was my experience. The rooms as pictured were indeed beautiful but the one reserved for me was a small basement room, one very small window looking on an area which was not charming. The room was so small it precluded a chair in which to sit and read. No lighting […] except bedside lamps. The highpoint of the site was the wonderful breakfast...and I assume the rooms on the upper floors were delightful....just wish one had been assigned to me. Mehr

Santa Fe is an expensive city, keeping that in mind, we should not have been surprised that this "one bedroom suite" would just be a regular hotel room, with a room and a bed in it. We had access to the balcony through the room, but so did everyone else, so there was a sense of a lack of privacy. The place definitely felt more like a BnB, with friendly […] staff, good food, cleanliness, but also a sense that you are in someone's home and you need to keep it down. A pretty serene place, but not great for a romantic getaway. Mehr

This was our first stay at the Inn of the Paseo, but it won't be our last. Our room was comfortable with access to an interior hallway and to the outside, which was convenient. Breakfast was abundant and delicious...save room for their waffles. Very pleased with our experience there.

After having a good experience a year ago my return visit to the Inn at the Paseo was a real disappointment. This time the Reception was poor and the Reservation as requested was not honored. I had reserved a room with a king size bed and was given a Queen. The staff was unfriendly and seemed uninterested in making my stay pleasurable. Our hotel room was very small, but clean and very comfy, with cute tiles and nice soaps in the tiny bathroom. The room was priced pretty high, and maybe this area of Santa Fe is just pricey, but we thought it was way too much for a room of this size, especially since our one window faced a brick wall. The Inn on the Paseo has wonderul, perhaps small, but nonetheless above adequate accomodations. The breakfast was superb, the service was impecable, but above all the location was ideal. This is a nice BB Inn. I stayed here four years earlier and the staff was the greatest. The present Inn Keeper says she has been there for 3 and 1\2 years but she was not friendly or personal able at all. The fresh baked cookies and muffins that were put out daily were over cooked everyday (5). We were given a complementary upgrade to a room with a […] 24 inch gas fireplace that was stuck in the wall. It was cute but the pilot burned so full that we had to keep the air on to maintain a decent temperature. The bed was so high off the floor you needed a step stool to climb in it. The mattress seemed old and lumpy. There was a stuffed chair and ottoman in the room that had to be for a toddler, when you sat on them it was if you were on the floor. The bath area was ok. Room service was great; bed made daily, clean towels each day and sheets changed every 2 days. But I must say it was an ok stay at the price. Mehr

Unfortunately due to family emergency I had to end my stay early. The staff at the hotel were amazingly wonderful and graceful. I really enjoyed my stay as well as getting to know the other guests during breakfast!

We stayed in a studio room, which was small, but comfortable and well-appointed. The hotel is an easy walk to the historic district and shopping. It is directly across the street from the Cross of the Martyrs. The morning breakfast buffet offers a wide variety, including fresh fruits, pastries and belgian waffles. Guests at the Inn can use facilities, […] including the gym, at the Hotel Santa Fe. Free van service is available to that hotel. Our only issue was that the Inn is not staffed at night. If you are will arrive in the evening, be sure to find the arrangements for getting the key to your room. Mehr

This little Inn is just enough off the beaten path that you can get away from the Santa Fe Plaza and the crowds, but still be within an easy 5-7 minute walk of everything in old Santa Fe. The rooms are warm and welcoming.
