Room was clean and comfy, no bath though. No garden or childrens area, anything to occupy them, and some staff not friendly towards children.Small meals but otherwise ok, Right out off town but easy to get to but theres nothing near by, at all.

We were very comfortable. We enjoy the free internet and parking. The breakfast was great. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant because there aren't any restaurants within easy walking distance. The dinner was tolerable, but reminded me of cafeteria food.

Good Hotel and the service was excellent however it is in an industrial park and you need a car/taxi to get to the hotel. About 15 mins to downtown Shrewsbury.

Friendly reception staff on arrival and was able to check in early, which was appreciated. The hotel is modern and very clean in an out of town soulless business park location. However getting into wonderful Shrewsbury is cheap enough by taxi. The breakfast was very nice the hot selection being scrambled egg, sausage and beans plus toast. The hotel is very well maintained, rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast is OK with a variety of cereals, toasts and yogurt. Dinner is a problem as there are only a few frozen meal options, specially because the hotel is in a business park outside the city. Nice spacious room with lovely power shower (no bath). We had a comfortable, quiet night, but sound insulation could be a problem if noisy inconsiderate guests had been staying. Used Meole Brace park and ride 5mins drive away to spend the day in Shrewsbury. This was our first stay at a Holiday Inn express and we were very impressed. The price was that of a budget hotel but the size, comfort and cleanliness of the room was that of a much superior hotel. I was going to a concert at Theatre Severn so just wanted somewhere to wash, change, sleep and have breakfast. The Holiday Inn Express fitted the bill perfectly. Yes, the hot breakfast didn't comprise of a great deal, basically sausage, scrambled egg and beans but you could have as much as you wanted and there was plenty of the usual stuff, cereals, […] toasts, fruit, pastries, drinks so it was well worth the money. Room had everything you needed, hairdryer, iron/board, towels, shampoo, conditioner & bodywash etc so again very good value. When I booked the room, I had checked that the hotel had free fast speed internet access.When I was there, we were told that there was no internet. The hotel was great, it looked really fresh. The room was quite spacious, had a big bed, nice bathroom with a shower cabin. The towels and bed linen looked new. The room itself was fine. It was clean, bed was comfy and the shower was great. It had a gym which I was really pleased about, it was easy to find and breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and courteous so I'd definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at this hotel before a friend's wedding. Had an issue with water running cold in the sink taps but shower temperature was fine and room very comfortable. The hotel is a bit out of the way so not that easy to get into town without a car or taxi.

Very clean throughout. Our bed was a bit too soft for our liking leading to a stiff back in the morning. Breakfast was OK, with the plates, cutlery, gleaming clean which is a nice change. Just a £4.80 cab ride into town. Lovely and quiet whereas I think the town centre places would be noisy.

Considering the price of the rooms, we were very surprised at the standard of the hotel - room was large and clean, bed was comfortable, shower was superb - all in all, we could not have asked for more if we had paid double the price! Our Sat Nav struggled to find the hotel, and it did seem a bizarre place to have a hotel, but it worked overall.

Enjoyable but slightly disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, particularly the shower, which had long dark hairs in the shower tray. Otherwise an enjoyable stay with friendly staff.

Hotel's firts day was brilliant. Everything was sparkly, till the next day! Alas, I didnt realise that, you had to ask for sheets / beddings to be changed , if you were a guest for more than a day. REALLY ! Any one with common sence would change guest's beddings everymorning, surely. Just be warned that, ask for that at the reception desk.......every […] single morning , if you are staying for more than aday. Quite easy to find, lots of free parking. Big enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids (in fact adults slept on the 'smaller' beds whilst kids had huge double bed). Lovely breakfast - we had a good selection both hot and cold, which the staff kept topping up. You shouldn't go hungry (and can definitely get your money's worth). Difficult to find as in back of business park no signs and given location no view except of offices. Blinds instead of curtains. Too many beds in rooms. Double was too singles together. It not luxury but functional. Bfast fine.

The venue and the principle of your hotels are fantastic. Your staff were warm and friendly and the convenience for our chosen location was ideal, the parking was good, in fact no faults until we come to cleanliness. We were told if we did not think the room was clean we would not be charged, however did not want to cause problems but do appreciate […] the opportunity to let you know. The whole hotel is desperately in need of a good housekeeper. Our shower cubicle was awful (I did not use, my husband did) but the whole place, the doors the ledges etc etc etc let the hotel down. I was upset for the management as obviously someone is not doing there job properly. I employed up to 80 people for many years and it appeared to me that the hotel was lacking the person at the top to take charge (unless their standards are being met) in that case it is the wrong person. Thank you for the opportunity to speak, such a pity as it would have been a stay of excellen value without this accumulating dirt problem (germs thrive in those conditions). Mehr

Disappointed where hotel was situated it was at least double the mileage claimed in the details on the internet. Was an unnecessary expense having to take taxis into Shrewsbury the two evenings. This hotel was perfect for what we wanted...a bed to sleep in after a friend's wedding a good breakfast the next day and that's exactly what we got! The location was a little strange in the middle of a business park so wouldn't be ideal to explore the beautiful town of Shrewsbury. The hotel itself is nice, breakfast was lovely and rooms were clean and Modern. Only improvement I think they should work on is the staff being friendlier, more attentive and helpful. Things like walking off in the middle of a conversation without any explanation, being rude at the bar because I asked for a sweet white wine and he said he doesnt drink […] wine so how would he know which ones are sweet....let me think... you work behind a bar. Great place to stay if you are passing through as easy to get on and off main highways. Very difficult to find as signage faces away from the direction you approach from. Breakfast was excellent. Good size of rooms.

Stayed overnight with my son between tennis competitions. Ideally located close to M54/A5 and tennis club in Shrewsbury. Previous night stayed at a Travelodge in comparison this was luxury. Situated on a small business park just off the A49, 2 miles from Shrewsbury it was easy to find and offered the amenities and rooms of a much higher priced hotel. […] If this is Hilton's budget type hotel aimed at travellers then it gets a big thumbs up. Staff very friendly and attentive, comfortable lounge, ample free car parking. Rooms are on the spacious side, well appointed and very comfortable. Only down side but didn't present us with too much of a problem was the free wi-fi was not working during our stay. Overall would recommend and return. Mehr
