Leider läuft der Hoteltransfer erst ab 6.00 Uhr morgens, deshalb wurde ein Taxi gebucht welches nochmals € 25.00 gekostet hat. Frühstück gab es eben auch nicht (ausser einen ungeniessbaren Kaffee). Also, als Frühauscheck-Zimmer, bietet es in dieser Hinsicht keinen Komfort.

An excellent choice when staying at Malpensa. One point not mentioned on the hotel's web site is that they offer free shuttle service to and from the airport. We rode the bus (better option than the train) from Milan Centrale to Malpensa and called the hotel to inform them of our arrival time. They made an unscheduled trip to pick us up. The rooms, […] and especially the bathrooms, are large by European standards. Bathrooms have both tubs and separate showers. Food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced with many options available. Staff were friendly and efficient. Get this: the owner of the hotel, whose name escapes me, played the role of the porter and came to our room to bring our excessive amount of luggage down to the shuttle. Unbelievable. Mehr

We awoke to find cockroaches crawling on the walls in our room. This was extremely disturbing and indicates very poor cleaning practices. When the front desk and manager were informed, they claimed it was "seasonal", but we have stayed in many hotels in northern Italy and never had such an issue. To top it off, nobody even thought to offer an apology!!! […] Even a roach has the I.Q. to say "sorry folks, I'll call the exterminator right away and inform housekeeping". Four stars? You've got to be kidding!... Mehr

We waited and waited to check in while one staff person checked in a large group of travelers AND had to answer the phone herself! We did not realize we had to book the shuttle early, preferably before arrival since there was limited space in the shuttle. We had to pay 25 E for a five minute drive to Malpensa! The hotel offered Wi-Fi, but only if […] we went downstairs and stood in line AGAIN for the codes. Signage is poor leading to the Novatel. If you are driving to the hotel, make sure you have GPS or Google map directions. Hotel is clean and comfortable, but very inefficient. Mehr

This is a lovely hotel with great service. Only three things ruined our stay there. The first is that the TV was only in Italian. No english subtitles or english speaking shows/movies that weren't dubbed in Italian. The second was that my son received an electric shock when trying to switch on a lamp that had it's button missing. Could have been fatal. […] We reported this to the reception staff who contacted the electrician right away. The 3rd was breakfast. Talk about bedlam. We arrived and weren't sure if we were to wait to be seated or not as there wasn't anyone at the enterance, so we decided to go in and help ourselves. This was easier said than done! There were so many people at the buffet that everything ran out and staff were struggling to keep up with demand. I eventually managed to get a piece of bread, marmalade and rubbery scrambled eggs. My son wanted to order room service for breakfast. I should have listened! Mehr

Novotel Malpensa is a comfortable hotel where room appointments exceeded my expectations. I was pleased to find a could get a snack when I arrived at11pm though the lowest common denominator white bread sandwich was disappointing. Like others I think the way to find the shuttle bus at the airport needs to be more prominently advised and signposted, […] as it is an excellent service. It is a bit strange to have the taxi drivers undercutting themselves by ringing the shuttle bus! Mehr

Our second stay here...and we came back expecting and receiving the best service, courteous personnel, great restaurant and staff (plus great bartender). Plus the location is truly incredible for catching flights. We needed help receiving our boarding passes for our departing flight (my laptop does not have a printer)...and the desk staff immediately […] came to our rescue....got the fax we needed and we were on our way home. And that was enhanced by the shuttle bus driver who not only guided us to Malpensa, but also stopped upon arriving at the airport entrance to make sure everything was what we needed and that we were okay. You simply do not find people who care that much very often! WOW! Pat him on the back for us! THANK YOU to all the Novotel folks! We will be back! Mehr

near the airport but quiet and reliable shuttle service

Very clean, great bathroom, comfortable bed, convenient to the airport. We've booked two different years at the end of our vacation as the easiest place for an early morning flight back to the US. Didn't realize that the breakfast wasn't included in the room fee and the breakfast was a bit overpriced; however, that wouldn't keep me from booking again. […] The hotel is close to the highways so that getting into Milan or up to Lake Como is really easy. Overall this hotel delivers the consistent Novotel quality I have come to rely on from Novotel - clean, bright, practical, family friendly and modern and slightly trendier than, say, Holiday Inn. Price is competitive. Disappointments only in very small ways are: Aircon is not strong enough for italian weather. Swimming pool closes at 7 pm, which is […] a bit too early. Lacking small square face towels. Internet is supposedly free but you have to recharge (although still free) after 3 hours, that's a pain. Mehr

Always a comfortable stay at this hotel when we need to fly out of Malpensa - only problem this time was that our favorite restaurant (within walking distance), Nel buco del mulo, was closed for the evening - the hotel staff was helpful in securing reservations at an alternate nearby hotel which proved shuttle service.

Being very close to the airport was an advantage to us we were very happy with the service and quality of the room. The free shuttle to and from the hotel was greatly appreciated too.. The buffet breakfast was excellent too, always a great way to start the day in a foreign country The pool looked stunning, we didn't have time to use it unfortunately. […] I would recommend the hotel to others. Perfect for those that wish to make a trip in and out of Malpensa. Right from the shuttle service from the airport to the early morning check out, everything met our expèctations and more.

In truth this stay was as good as any we have stayed including some 6 star places. For our last stay before flying out it could not have been better. Staff were low key but with it.

We wanted a hotel close to the airport as we only needed to stay one night to be at the airport early the next day for a flight out. We did not expect to find one to be as nice as the Novatel. It was very modern, clean, and pleasant. The service was accommodating, and included a free shuttle from the airport after we arrived via train from Florence, […] and then a free shuttle back to the airport in the morning. Although small, the room was comfortable and very efficient. We ate a really nice and reasonably priced dinner in the restaurant. The free breakfast included most of the things one expects in a much more expensive European hotel. We were very satisfied. Mehr

It was very difficult to even fine where hotel buses left from the airport. Finally decided to take a cab and the cab driver called the hotel because he knew there was a bus and directed us to a pick up place where there were a couple of vans. We had been told the Novotel van would be there in 10 minutes. We waited about 15 and than one of the van drivers […] closed the side door that covered the Novotel sign on the van! Better signage all around would have worked wonders! Mehr

The condition of the hotel is outstanding: immaculate rooms, comfortable bedding, tub and shower. The hotel personnel are professional and courteous; however the facility is fairly far away from the airport (free shuttle service to and fro every half hour) in a remote location without any services available. There is a free breakfast, but other restaurant […] prices are exorbitant (example - steak @ Euros 48, club sandwich consisting of 1 very thin slice each of turkey, cheese, lettuce and tomato on white bread for 11 euros. The hotel is close to the airport but very expensive for the quality which is "low end".

Shuttle leaves terminal every 15-30 min

Hotel was 15 minutes from airport. Shuttle to and from hotel was prompt and drivers were courteous-Only negative on one of the drivers was that he was on his cell phone while driving for an extended period of time in rainy road conditions with heavy traffic. Night staff at desk was helpful in a number of ways, including arranging for a 4:00AM taxi […] for my wife; also assisted on problem we had with one of your two computers on site. This hotel exceeds our expectation in that it has excellent facilities and modern designs. The airport shuttle makes its location disadvantage less relevant. Definitely would choose it again.

Great location for cheap flights to Europe. ALso good price for the room that we had. Free Wifi and free shuttle bus made it that much nicer. We also left our car there at a reasonable rate. ORdered room service the Turkey sandwich could of been better!

Great airport hotel, good value, very friendly & efficient - exceeded expectations. Will definitely use again. One small point is that the shuttle bus from the airport, which is free, only comes on request. So make sure you have the hotel phone number with you, or it's a 20euro taxi fare.

Rooms were clean and hotel had nice decor. Staff was terrible, by far the worse hotel staff I've ever dealt with. They didn't want to offer any suggestions on restaurants or bars. They couldn't even tell me where a grocery store was. They kept saying over and over all that is in our area is our restaurant and bar, I said no problem I will take a taxi. […] They had an excuse for why not to do that... to expensive. So I had to call a taxi myself to go to a restaurant and a grocery store, which by the way was only 15 Euro. Then when I returned with a small grocery bag with toiletries of all things they looked at me with extremely evil eyes, almost as implying how dare this person not listen to us. I recommend to any traveller stay away from this hotel. The Best Western Jet Hotel which is 10 minutes away was fabulous, great staff and very friendly and helpful. Mehr

Perfect location if you need easy access to the airport, with a frequent shuttle , 10 minutes travel time. (Free.) Not near anything else, no shops etc. Disappointing the the air con did not work well at night. Very limited breakfast if you are gluten free, fair if you aren't. Clean, tidy,and modern, suited our needs very well. A convvenient place to […] stay. Mehr

Nice hotel, nice restaurant and service. Very conveniently located, about 10 minutes ride to airport.

Nice Hotel with a stylish look. Free Internet access in the Lobby. Clean Pool. Only drawback: the Gym could be bigger (only one Bike and one Treadmill).

We found the shuttle service extremely convenient and hassle-free. Hotel facilities and breakfast very good. Family room more than adequate, well-equipped and clean. Would recommend as an excellent stop-over.

If you are on a morning flight out of Milan's Malpensa airport, you should consider staying here, or at the very least, an airport hotel. Malpensa is a good hour away from Milan, and who wants that stress on a travel day? The Novotel was clean and modern. We were traveling with a 9 month old and they went our of their way to make sure he was taken care […] of. Don't count on wifi though, like most of Europe this is a pay service. They do have a few work stations in the lobby, but don't count on getting any work done. Mehr

The rooms are very clean and modern. My only issues with the hotel were the shuttles to/from the airport didn't come and leave as advertised. I waited 30 minutes for one, and ended up taking a very expensive taxi from the airport when it didn't come. And in the morning, it took a while for the shuttle to come, and it didn't leave on time. The other […] issue is that the Internet is not free. It was expensive. For an airport hotel, especially, where one needs to check in online, etc., this is just nickel and dime-ing the customer. Very nice hotel with all possible facilities (pool, fitness room, wii games, restaurant .... The only comment I would have is that we find their menu for dinner pretty poor. We hardly found something for dinner ... but have to admit that it finally tasted good.

Very clean, affordable, great customer service and a great location. I would recommend this hotel.
