Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk - San Antonio

Während unserer Texas Rundreise waren wir für 2 Tage in diesem Hotel. Die Atmosphäre des Hotels, die direkte Lage am Riverwalk und der Blick fantastisch. Wir hatten aber auch Glück und ein Eckzimmer im 16. Stock imit 6 Fenstern (!) und damit einen traumhaften Rundumblick. Das Personal war sehr hilfreich, Parken kein Problem, das Frühstück aber eher […] einfach. Genereller Service sehr gut, wie kostenlose Softdrinks zu allen Zeiten und Fingerfood am frühen Abend. Guter und sehr netter Service an der Rezeption, Valet Parking für 18 Dollar, Abends gibt es kostenlose Drinks (drei Drinks pro Person und Abend) sowie kostenlose Snacks (Frikadellen, Hähnchen, Nachos, Salat etc), sehr zentral gelegen, alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Direkter Zugang zum Riverwalk. Ich kann das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Das Hotel liegt sehr schön am Fluss und mitten in der Stadt und alles ist sehr gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Leider ist es schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat aber dafür viel Geschichte. Ein einfaches Frühstück war dabei und abends gab es gratis Happy Houer mit Hot Dog usw.. Der Andrang war dementsprechend gross!

we enjoyed our stay....loved walking out thru the hotel to the river walk. everyone was friendly from the cook staff thru the head people. Only thing was the parking garage directions werent clear so I ended up paying twice for parking but all in all we would do it again

We had a wonderful stay on our vacation at the Drury. The hotel was clean and neat and it offered just a ton of extras. We loved the fitness room, hot tubs and both pools. The outdoor seating on the 22nd floor was a great way to wind down with your favorite beverage and enjoy the cool breeze at the end of a busy day. The full breakfast is wonderful-as is the kick-back every night from 5:30-7:00. 3 free drinks, baked potatoes, soup, vegetables, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese.....The hotel has direct access to the river walk. The river walk is amazing clean, free of graffiti, full of restaurants with outdoor seating and entertainment The personal at the Hotel Drury […] are consistently friendly and helpful. This is a very comfortable hotel, with a beautiful lobby including a stained glass window. Mehr

The hotel is decent but shows its age. The rooms are average, no balcony, small windows only. The air conditioner (wouldn't turn off) is extrememly loud and kept me up all night. The elevators run slow and could take several minutes during busy times (not great for the uppper floors). Location is OK, you can access the River via a couple-minute walk […] through an underground hallway. To get to the the main Riverwalk area requires walking several more minutes once outside. Rooftop pool/jacuzzi was great on Friday, but PACKED with a TCU frat party on Saturday, making it unusable for anyone else (a dissapointment since that was one of the main draws of the hotel). The breakfast is basic, good for a family or if you just want to grab a bite before sight seeing(packed by 9am, so best to go early). The “kick back hour” was also very crowded, with long lines. The beer is Bud Light, wine barely drinkable, and the Margarita was ok. You could make a meal of the food if you wanted (baked potatoes, hot dogs, chips, etc.), something that could come in handy for a family/kids. In total, not a great value for us, especially with not being able to use the pool. I would strongly reccommend paying a few more dollars and staying at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio. We stayed there the first half of our trip and loved it! Mehr

Quality of service

The hotel was great. Clean, friendly and secure. The location was perfect for my visit. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. My only complaint was the parking. It was said to be free but when I checked in I was told I had to pay for it. Okay no problem but where is it? I was given a vague direction of left at the corner on Market. Okay so I went there […] but come check out time the garage wouldn't accept my proof of payment because they were not the right garage. I had to pay again. It was very expensive parking and I am not happy about it at all since it was suppose to be free in the first place. Mehr

We received an excellent welcome from Front Desk employee named Zach. He was very informative & polite with his presentation of the hotel and existing amenities.

My wife and I had a lot of fun. This hotel it's very close to the river walk and there is a great restaurant / bar right across the road.

The valet damaged our luggage (broke wheel). I emailed one of the assistant general managers of the hotel with no return response. The trip ended up costing us a fortune in damage. Stay away!

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very accommodating and we enjoyed the breakfast. It made it easy for us to get up and go! I would highly recommend the Dury Plaza.

Great hotel had a great time for my honeymoon they even gave us a free upgrade, so friendly

The Drury Plaza Hotel is surprisingly inexpensive for its ideal location on the Riverwalk and next to Main Plaza, which is itself a very pleasant place to relax. Hotel service was good, the view from the 18th floor was great, and the beds were much more comfortable than most hotel beds. Save money on valet parking by walking a block to the Market Street […] Parking Garage (~15USD/day). Mehr

This hotel is in a perfect location and easy to get to. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return.

Staff was courteous, helpful and professional. Room was clean, area of hotel was very convenient.

We had a marvelous experience with this hotel. Free hot breakfast was good although repetitive. Evening "kick back" was also good. Both cut down on spending for food during trip. Hotel is on Riverwalk, but is out of the main area just enough to be quiet, but convenient. Free internet also a plus. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel- particularly the tower facing the main plaza- was fantastic. Service was great. Everyone who worked for the hotel greeted us, no matter what job they had. People asked if we needed assistance wherever we went. The food at the breakfast and happy hour weren't the best, but it was plentiful and there are dozens of places to eat nearby. My wife and two kids loves the place. Bonus was the food and drinks offerred up at 5:30pm! Free internet! Nice pool! On the riverwalk! Plus a dvd player in the room! We will stay here again.

The food was good, rooms clean and comfortable, staff friendly, pool was nice, great views, and close to everything. This is a great hotel to stay at if your traveling with kids. We will definitely be staying here again.

Free breakfast, arrived at 6:30 just in time before 7pm to get our free drinks. Roof top pool, and basement leads you down by the river walk. Great service and good price per night considering the location.

Loved this hotel. I would stay here again!!!

I met all my expectations. I enjoyed the full breakfast. I was glad that they kept the art deco from the previous bank.

Housekeeping left room a mess with towels on the floor from another room. After we called about it, they made excuses and housekeeping never came back to finish cleaning room.

Convenient to restaurants, attractions and shopping. Wonderful breakfasts and afternoon/light suppers. Looking forward to returning.

The hotel is a remodeled bank. Everything was neat and clean. The history is shown by various historic pictures placed thru out the hotel. The location was excellent, being right in the middle of the Riverwalk with easy access to both the street level and the riverwalk. Many area activities are within walking distance. Stay here when I travel to the coast. For the price, this place is great. The breakfast is great and happy hour drinks and food are a nice perk. The room was clean and comfortable. A quick stroll and you are on the main drag at Riverwalk with tons of great restaurants and shops. One thing, make sure you don't plan on getting valet parked before 1:00. […] You can just go down the road to the public parking garage for $15 per day, which was fine. Actually, I might recommend that if you need to get out quickly in the morning as it can sometimes take a little while to get the car retrieved. Make sure you have cash for the parking if you do park at the public garage. Overall fantastic experience and will be back. Mehr

My husband and I visited San Antonio for the first time and were very pleased with the Drury Plaza Hotel. At the time we booked the hotel, we had no idea we had no idea San Antonio was a spring break destination for families with younger children. The hotel managed to handle to busy time pretty well except for check ins; it took a couple of hours before […] our room was ready. Everyone was very apologetic so instead we spent the time checking out the surrounding area and quickly found we were smack dab in the middle of everything. The location could not have been more convenient. Our room was terrific, spacious comfortable and tastefully decorated. Having a refrigerator and microwave was a nice plus. We will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Antonio. As someone from the upper Midwest, we came to appreciate their Southern hospitality. Mehr

My daughter and I had the best time. Everyone was sopolite and very helpful no matter what you asked of them. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

very clean, no problem with noise inside my room despite being right next to the elevators. Excellent free breakfast with plenty of room and good evening happy hour but a little crowded then. Perfect spot on the Riverwalk for walking to a lot of great resturants as well as the alamo and the mercado.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Drove from Houston and found hotel very easily. We're upgrad to a jacuzzi suite with terrace, which was a lovely welcome. Good facilities, gym, pools, breakfast and 'happy hour', although no bar or restaurant. Ideally placed for the riverwalk. Would definitely stay here again.

I have mixed feelings about my recent experience. It was on the riverwalk, my room was clean (a bit small), hotel service was adequate and breakfast was pleasant. Although I can not enthuisatically recommend to others, I may reserve a room there in the future

My husband and I stayed three nights at this hotel. In general, it was a good experience. There are two pools & hottubs, but one is kind of hidden.... we had to call the front desk to figure out how to get there. The hot tubs were not hot. The breakfast was awesome, but unless you're a big drinker the "kickback" wasn't worth it when there's way better […] food in every direction. When we tried to leave in the morning, we had to wait 40 minutes for our car as the mandatory valet service was overwhelmed. And it wasn't handled well, so we weren't told to sit in the comfortable lobby and they'd get us. The hotel was nice, but I don't think it was worth the price. Mehr

A big THANKS to Zack for his help. The room was wonderful with a great view! Great food at complimentary breakfast and evening "Kickback". It was nice to be able to walk to all the attractions and guest service folks were very friendly and knowledgeable with directions. We thorougly enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay. My only complaint was that as nice as the hotel was- they had really cheap, thin and scratchy towels. Also, the pillows seemed a little worn out too. The rooms were very nice and they seemed to do such a good job with everything else. It didn't feel as luxurious with cheap towels and pillows though. Also, I asked two different times […] at the hotel desk for directions somewhere and neither agent knew how to get around very well. They misdirected us. They needed to be better trained in that area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast and afternoon buffet were good too. Mehr

My husband and I were very pleased with the Drury Plaza. Convenient location on the riverwalk. Bathroom was very nice size as was the king bedroom. The free hot breakfast, afternoon popcorn, sodas and hot snacks at 5:30 are an added bonus. There was always plenty. We would definately stay here again.

This hotel is beautiful!!! Riverwalk access is right out the door and we had a delicious hot breakfast! We will definitely be visiting here again!!!
