It looks like some of the common areas could really use some TLC. Parking lot was too short to accomodate my truck.

This hotel is right at the foot of the main Chair lift of the mountain! People at the hotel and in the town are extremely nice and helpful for a Ski Resort! The rooms are great, has a pull out sofa, microwave and kitchen area. I would definitely go back to Crested Butte and this hotel.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A RESORT THAT IS CLOSE TO THE SKI AREA "THE ELEVATION " IS YOUR PLACE. TO SAY THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. FROM THE FRONT DESK STAFF TO THEIR HOUSEKEEPING TO THE VALET STAFF THEY MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME AND COMFORTABLE DURING YOUR STAY. THE ROOMS ARE WONDERFULLY UPDATED AND EXTREMELY CLEAN. THE ONLY DRAWBACK IS THEIR […] "9380" IN-HOUSE RESTAURANT. THEY HAVE RECENTLY GONE THROUGH SOME MENU CHANGES WHERE THEY CATER TO A MORE "THAI FUSION" CUISINE. IT'S A SHAME YOU COME TO COLORADO AND CAN'T EVEN GET A DECENT STEAK. THE ROOM SERVICE IS THE SAME AS THE RESTAURANT... PITIFUL! BASIC BURGERS, REGULAR FRENCH FRIES, AND HOUSE SALADS HAVE THIS NEW THAI SPIN ON THEM AS WELL. YOUR BEST BET IS BY GOING IN TO THE OLD TOWN OF CRESTED BUTTE AND EXPLORE YOUR DINING OPTIONS THERE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A VEHICLE YOU CAN CATCH A SHUTTLE BUS LESS THAN A 5 MINUTE WALK FROM THE RESORT. THE BUSES RUN REGULARLY BACK AND FOURTH FROM CRESTED BUTTE TO MT. CRESTED BUTTE. LESS THAN A 15 MINUTE TRIP UP OR DOWN THE MOUNTAIN. NOT WITHSTANDING THE MENU CHANGES AT "9380" AND THEIR SIMILAR ROOM SERVICE OPTIONS WE WOULD RATE OUR EXPERIENCE AT THIS RESORT A 10 OUT OF A 10. JUST RELAX AND ENJOY YOUR STAY AT "THE ELEVATION" IN ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES ON EARTH. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE CRESTED BUTTE COLORADO! Mehr

Staff very helpful and kind. Room nice and cozy,

I was there during the week in Sept. and the place was dead. Only 1 restaurant on the whole mountain for breakfast and 1 for dinner. Hotel staff was wonderful. Went above and beyond. Room had an awkward layout with the sofa being pretty much worthless. Not sure there would have been room to use it as a sofa bed. Watching TV in desk chairs wasn't comfortable. […] Small kitchenette was nice. I was disappointed in the view from my room. With so few guests, they could have easily given me a view of the mountain. Instead I had a view of the building next door. Was double charged for parking, but when I drew the clerk's attention to it at check-out, she removed all charges. The staff makes this place. Mehr

We had a wonderful time, since it was August there was not much going on - except we couldn't go to the hotel restaurant/bar on saturday night due to a wedding. So we went to town and ate at a wonderful steak house and the hotel drove us there and picked us up. The only other complaint is there is no AC, so door open with fan, and it was ok at night, […] warm during the day. I had massage at the spa - wonderful! the staff was very nice and accommodating, I would go back in a heart beat. :) Mehr

Very friendly and helpful staff, including front desk, car valets, and in hotel restaurant. Setting is ideal--right at the base of the ski lift. Our visit was in summer (August), but lifts were operating to allow access to incredible views, hiking, and biking up on the mountain. Room amenities and comfort were even better than we hoped, even though […] we had one of the less expensive rooms. Only negative (very small) was lack of air conditioning; even with a room fan we had to leave outside sliding door open to get ventilation. Not horrible--but since we overlooked the ski base and open-air restaurant there was some noise until about 10 pm when things seemed to slow down and close down. We would definitely stay here again. Winter rates will obviously be much higher, but the value for what we paid was impressive. Mehr

We were extremely happy with the hotel and the food in the 9380 Prime was excellent. The only complaint I have is that our stay happened to coincide with the hottest part of the year and there was no AC. The room got warm- very warm. But, I doubt this is a problem most of the year. Would definitely recommend it.

Hotel and staff were top notch. No complaints with anything. The wildflowers around Crested Butte were spectacular. We had a wonderful time.

We were not impressed with this hotel. The room was set up funky. They charged us for parking (we were the only ones parked there) and there were several signs of disrepair through out the hotel.

Fabulous room, great location in a favorite spot, with very friendly and helpful young staff. Everything was top-notch

Very nicely designed, clean room and common spaces. Friendly staff, fantastic location at base of mountain, free shuttle into town. No complaints, we will be back.

This was my wife and my 1st time to Crested Butte. The staff here is ridiculously friendly and they go out of there way to ensure that you're having a great time. Free shuttle service to & from town, great advice of what to do, where to go... there was no end to everyone's great attitude in seeing we enjoyed our stay here. This place is an example for […] other resorts to follow. We'll be back, that's for sure. Mehr

I've been in swankier hotels, but few where everything was as tasteful, clean, and in perfect condition as the Elevation. Great view, lovely lobby, very nice room with good space, great bedding. Can't find a thing to complain about.

Everything about the facility and personnel was five-star...no exceptions. We especially enjoyed the size of the room, which was very generous...king bed, couch, table, chairs...very comfortable. The decor was tasteful...simple and elegant without offensive poor art work. Bath robes were luxurious...and then some. Just a couple of adjustments would […] help; 1. Don't use fragrances in cleaning products or spray the room. 2. The billing needs to be transparent...there was only one amount show...no detail and total charges were about $170 on top of the the nightly room rate for 5 nights...lodger's tax, condo fee, gross receipts tax, and another fee which I don't remember what it was for. Loved the location and the staff and the room was fine too. No complaints about the hotel. I had an incredible facial with a gal named Julianne in the Spa. The restaurant did not honor the hours posted which caused some discomfort for us. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The fitness facility was very nice as well.

This hotel is a perfect location for enjoying skiing at Crested Butte. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can't run out of things to do there.

The Staff at Elevation were really nice and friendly. The room was extremely clean and had everything I needed. The hotel is also in a great location. I didn't use any of the Fitness/Spa facilities so I can't speak to that. Overall I was very happy with everything.

Elevation is a wonderful place! The rooms are older but nicely appointed; what really makes the difference is the hotel staff! They were wonderfully attentive to all of our needs, and the Escalade shuttle into town made life very easy!

This hotel was clean and comfortable, close to everything. The rooms were nicely furnished and the fitness center was fabulous. However, be aware that if you request a room with a mountain view, the room will face the street below. It is still a great view, but if you like to sleep with your window open in the summer like we do, you will hear some street […] noise. You can avoid the noise by requesting a slope side view. Of course, this would not be a problem in the winter. I would definitely recommend this ski-in, ski-out hotel. Mehr

Good: The hotel/room was one of the cleanest I've seen. It seemed modern and classy. It is a very short distance to the lifts and close to small shops and a couple of restaurants. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Something small, but worth mentioning, the water is complimentary, unlike most hotels. Bad: When we checked out, they […] tried to charge us an extra $25/night for a "roll away" bed that we did not use. Nor did they mention anything about a roll away bed fee when we checked in. When I asked about the fee at check out, the gentleman removed the charge without hesitation, but he did say they usually charged everyone this fee. For an upscale hotel, I felt as though it was a very cheap thing to do to its guests. Mehr

What a fantastic find! The "Elevation" provided much upscale comfort and amenities for a very competative price. The beds were comfortable, the remodeled decor was tastefully done, and very quiet with no plumbing or elevator noises. We enjoyed relaxing in the room after our long days of hiking, shopping, and eating. The towels were extra fluffly, soft, […] and plentiful. The staff was always welcoming and several times we were contacted to make sure we had everything we needed and if our room was to our liking. We felt as though we were the staff's only concern. We did use the free area shuttle to get back and forth to town although the hotel did offer rides in their Cadillac Escalade. The valet service was immediate and professional. Mehr

Very satisfied with our visit. We did not go during ski season but rather during the wildflower festival. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The fitness center and pool were great, it would have be nice if the pool and hot tub were located outside. The hotel was one block from the free bus to the town of Crested Butte so we didn't need to use […] the car all the time. there is a $15 a day parking fee, plus the tip to the valet, vlaet parking is the only option.
