Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel im Herz von London. Wir sind total begeistert.

What a great place to be! I was very warm welcomed by the receptonist and was given a lovely room with a large window. The only downside was a bit the noise in the evening and late in the night as some guys seemed to show off with their heavy motorbikes ... but apart from that really nothing to complain about. I had forgoten my Iphone 4 charging cable […] and told this the receptionist. He was so kind to let me charge it at the reception and gave me in the eary morning a call to pick up. Wifi is for free, no disturbing codes necessary to put in. And there are a few computers in the 2nd floor where you have free internet access. Highly appreciated this as I couldn't get some flight info out of my Iphone any more. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to friends! Mehr

Das Grand liegt ca. 250m vom Trafalgar Square entfernt, auch andere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen (Covent Garden, Picadilly Circus und Westend). Das Zimmer war zwar eher klein, die Aussicht auf das ca. 2m entfernte Nachbargebäude nicht prickelnd, dafür war das Zimmer gut ausgestattet mit sehr gut funktionierender Klimaanlage und immer […] sauber. Eine ausgezeichnete Lage, das war es aber schon. Die gebuchte Suite (angeblich das größte Zimmer) erwies sich als kleines Doppelzimmer mit einer Zustellpritsche. Man konnte sich kaum im Zimmer bewegen. Angeblich ausgelegt für bis zu 4 Personen!! Die Freundlichkeit lies auch sehr zu wünschen übrig. Es gibt kein Restaurant oder Bar. Man muss das angeschlossene […] Nachbarrestaurant nutzen. (Obika) Die haben sich auf Mozzarella spezialisiert, was sich auch in der Karte gut ablesen lässt. Sonst ist nicht viel... Das Frühstück gibt es auch dort. Nennt sich Continental. Glänzt aber auch mehr durch Eintönigkeit. Mehr

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Zentrum Londons. zehn min Fußweg zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten im Regierungsviertel. Sehr empfehlenswert ist die Stadtrundfahrt mit der Big Bus Company ( Blaue Tour für Deutsche Touristen)

Freundlicher Service, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Angenehme Atmosphäre und trotz zentraler Lage in ruhiger Umgebung. Die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuss erreichbar: Von Musical bis Tate Modern. Kostenloses WLAN.

everything about this hotel ticked all the right boxes!i would definatly stay here again,and recommend it to others.

Brilliant location, awesome hotel, staff not as friendly as they could be. Breakfast closed at 11am on a Sunday? Way to early...

Hotel was very good, room was very comfortable with good facilities. The only problem we had was that we received a smoking room upon arrival, despite requesting a non-smoking room. The staff were very helpful and moved us to a non-smoking room the next day while we were out, but it did spoil our trip a little. The hotel's location is excellent, it's […] almost on Trafalgar square, so the National Gallery and the West end theatres are a short walk away. We chose this hotel because we wanted a comfortable place to stay that was close to the centre of town and it was ideal in that respect. Mehr

If you go to London then The Grand in Trafalgar Square is a perfect place to stay. Its central, clean and the service is fantastic. My daughter and I arrived at 7 a.m. after a long flight from Australia and the staff very kindly allocated us a room from 11 a.m. which was much earlier than we expected. We popped up the road for brekky then had a look […] around before going back to check in. The bathroom was clean and modern and the bed was to die for. Would definitely stay there again. Mehr

We stayed for just one night whilst visiting London. The service was excellent, hotel had a lot of charactor while being very modern. I particularly liked the efforts to being 'green' (re-usable drinking bottles, etc). We had the smallest type of room which was fine, which wasnt overlooking the street, so no street noise which was nice. We didnt eat […] in the hotel. Excellent location too, would stay again Mehr

I was very pleased with this hotel's location and the quality and cleanliness. I was there for New Year's celebrations, and this hotel is in the perfect location, very close to The Thames and situated very close to Leicester Square and other places of interst. The only gripe i have is that for the amount of money i paid, i would have liked a little […] mopre friendliness from the staff. Not even a smile, or a good wish on New Years eve. Cleaning staff were friendly and very professional. Very very disappointed with staff at front desk and door. Maybe because i am not a foreigner...they seemed to be freindly towards others....Maybe it's just me???? Mehr

The location was outstanding; close to everything and the hotel service was excellent. The room was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the free wi-fi. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Excellent location. Reasonable Price. Comfortable Room. Didn't eat or drink in the bar, but it looked very Grand. Could not fault.

Excellent situation for tourism. Room small but functional. Comfortable but little insulation from the corridor, no noise from the other rooms.

The Grand is a convenient hotel in the heart of London. Walking distance to the Hop on Hop Off bus, shops, the National Gallery and more. The pricing is a bit high, but so is everything else in London for an American. The room was a bit small, but offered all the comforts one might need..

The hotel is almost overlooking Trafalgar Square. Walk one direction to see Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, etc. and walk to other direction for Covent Garden, theatres, Picadilly Square, etc. Tube stations are at each end of the block if you don't want to walk. We were really pleased with this hotel on many levels and we would definitely stay here again. Our room was ready when we arrived even though we were early, at best we had hoped to leave the luggage. The room was modern and clean and a decent size for such a central location. We asked for an iron and board and it was delivered to our room within minutes […] and stayed with us for the duration of our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and should be highly commended. They were happy to help with directions and even printed off a route for us to help us get around.The location is excellent and we were able to walk to all of what we needed with the exception of the train station which was a very short tube ride away. The hotels reception area accommodates Boyd's Bar which is very smart and has friendly staff. The bar prices were typical of the area and standard of premises so whilst not being as cheap as a pub, they were definitely not rip off prices. The only tiny criticism I have is that the tea making facilities were a bit mean. Enough milk for one cup each (if you don't mind it strong). I would imagine that they would have sent up more if asked but sometimes it would just be nice if there was more than required rather than less. Would definitely use this hotel again, in face I've already looked at room prices for a stay early next year. Mehr

Fab hotel just a short walk to the theatre as we were told! Sometimes other peoples '10 minute' walk is half an hour! Lovely hotel and food. Service was very good on all counts.

I could be bit nit picky about the check in procedure and the fact that the rooms were not ready until 15-00. But that's what it says on the tin, although one was not ready until 15-15. However the hotel was accommodating with letting us leave our luggage before check in and after checkout,so no complaints there. The worst aspect of this hotel, which […] for a London venue amazed us all, is that you cant get a drink after 24-00 on a Saturday night, even as residents. Its a great bar but they moved us out into another lounge area without a bar at around 00-15. Indeed they even got the vac out so we'd take the hint. Apparently the bar is run by a separate company to the hotel, who close at 24-00?? We dont get to London often, so tend to splash out a bit and have a few extra drinks whilst we are there. So if you want to do this, either don't use this hotel, or stay out later in Covent Garden! Mehr

Centrally located near all popular tourist attractions, subway station and nightlife. The room was very nice and the hotel was quiet

I highly recommend this hotel. It is very well located, near by to most of the attractions in London. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean and comfortable. I just had one problem there, they did nogt make upmy room on my last day, but it was probably related to my late checkout. So, that is why I did not gave them the highest possible  […] evaluation. I don't think we could have chosen a better hotel for our short stay in London. Location, comfort, price, service were all excellent and we'd be happy to stay again. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance, and something that is very rare in any hotel it seemed like whoever designed the rooms had actually stayed in hotels themselves! […] We only had a small double but it was more than adequate, modern, well decorated and clean and free wi-fi too. We only had 3 nights in London, so location was key. The Grand is in a terrific location, just minutes walk from the Charing Cross underground station, and a short walk to Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and the Thames. The staff was great, and the room was clean and quiet. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great hotel, just a minute from Trafalgar Square and walking distance to all central London attractions. Hotel was spectacular, room was lovely - only one downside was the huge air conditioning unit right outside the bedroom window making noise all through the night.

This is a business oriented hotel conveniently located near Charing Cross train & tube station - halfway between Trafalgar Square and Thames. 10-15 min walks to Parliament, London Eye, Piccadilly & Chinatown. Clean, well maintained facility with somewhat larger rooms than most in London. Relatively large bathroom - shower only (not a concern to us). […] Rather odd floor layout with some rooms on a level a few steps above rest of the floor. Not a "full service" hotel so no doormen, bellhops or concierge, but that means fewer marginally useful hands held out looking for tips. Free wireless internet and desktop PCs with printers. Excellent location for nipping down to Embankment, across the bridge and to the Eye etc, also the other way to Trafalgar Square, Theatreland, Covent Garden, China Town etc. All very good, but the continental breakfast at the table at £14.99 expensive and bit misleading with re Advertised £6:99 breakfast, which turned out to be just a croissant and coffee […] to be taken in the bar. (On the menu it looked as though the cooked breakfast was £14.99, not also the cold continental breakfast). However, as indicated, excellent location and service. All day breakfast available few yards away along the road towards Trafalgar Square. Also handy to know Boots Chemist just round the corner on the Charing Cross side of the Strand. Well-appointed room with thoughtful extras for travelers in London central [e.g. an umbrella, just in case]. Found the location excellent with no need for tubes. Hotel itself was excellent. Great idea with chilled water available on each floor. Rooms were very good quality.

Perfect location, great service comfortable room

While the room was a bit small and the food at the restaurant quite pricey, the hotel was still GREAT! For London, I got a reasonable rate through hotels.com. The room was extremely comfortable, even quiet though some construction was going on outside. Internet service was great. Location is PERFECT. Visited National Gallery, Embankment, convenient […] to Underground. I will stay here agin! Mehr

My Wife and another couple stayed in the Hotel at the end of July 2011. The travel time from Heathrow to the Hotel took just over 1 hr. The Hotel is extremely close to the tube line which made the transfer very convenient. On arrival we were very impressed with the exterior of the hotel. The immediate interior of the hotel was very old world /impressive. […] The reception area was functional however the assistance provided was good. The room ,a double bed /single room had all the necessary requirements and space for a weekend stay in London.The location of this hotel and the cost per room per night made this hotel an ideal location for a holiday in London.I would recommend the hotel. Stayed at the grand for 1 night, only issues where a faulty TV and an electricity socket not working. The hotel was clean, the staff were pleasent and happy to help and advise. The location was the biggest plus for us with the price also very reasonable. Will definatley stay at the grand trafalgar square again.

I stayed in London for one night and I wanted a good central location and a nice hotel. the Grand was a very nice hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. over all I would definately recommend this for someone wanting a good central london hotel.

We had a great stay at the Grand. It is in the pefect location as there are 4 train lines within a short walk. The Hotel itself was very clean and the wifi worked well. Another great perk was that the hotel provided free bottled water! i would definitely stay there again.

The Grand's location is perfect. Situated on Trafalgar Square it is less than a 5 minute walk to Charing Cross station and the Eye. A bit further to Buckingham Palace. Exciting for our family was discovering Benjamin Franklin's home literally just around the corner. The accomodations were spacious for our family of five and the bathroom was nicely equipped […] and organized. Hotel staff were courteous but not especially knowledgeable. Still, a wonderful location well worth the extra pounds. Mehr
