Hotel Allandale - Austin

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und komfortabel ausgestattet. Sehr geräumig. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön, auch der Poolbereich ist toll. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gefallen.Alles ist sehr gut zu erreichen.

It is an older place, friendly staff, would have liked an easier walkway to room from parking lot.

Enjoyed it very quiet hotel I didn't care for how old everything in the hotel was but overall it was very clean and huge bed

I stay here every two weeks and enjoy having so much room and a full kitchen. It is more like an older apartment/codo.

I would not stay there again. I feel as if I'm picking on the poor kid, but I go to a hotel for cleanliness and comfort and it was neither clean nor was it comfortable. Just not impressed

No nonsense, practical hotel, very clean and comfortable. Location in out of downtown area and that suited us fine. Location is quiet and we got good night's sleep each night. Breakfast is simple but sufficient to start the day well. Walmart store right next to hotel is very convenient. All in all, a great place, that we would happily use again.

Very quite, peaceful and pleasant. Rooms were clean. Very accommodating with early check in.

We needed a hotel close to a certain location in Austin, TX and the Allandale was at the right place. We were not aware that the hotel rooms are actually in the middle of condos they rent on a monthly-basis. The room therefore is a condo-like apartment, with a kitchen. It was very old, dated and in extreme need of major cleaning and updating. Allandale […] does not offer daily room service for a stay of more than one night. The breakfast ends at nine which was too early for us to enjoy and evaluate. The staff was courteous, though. The hotel is right by a plaza with assorted food options. Mehr

One of the hardest thing for family travel is we like to bring our own food. At a place like the Allendale it truly feels like a home away from home. Bring your food, bring your movies. For us controlling types, especially with kids, I don't think it gets better unless you can swing the Four Seasons.

We have stayed here several times, mainly because the price and convenience to where we want to be in Austin. However, this room appeared to be a little more run down than our past rooms. It appears thaat more emphasis is being placed on selling the units as condos, rather than improving the hotel units. The bath towels are very thin and a little bigger […] than a hand towel. Most of the furniture is showing significant wear. The overall condition could be improved a lot. Mehr

Staff was polite and very helpfull regarding surrounding area. Room was clean and comfortable. Price was great.

We were screening a short film at the iPic Theater, rates, location, and room were great.

Felt like I was staying in my 1st apartment 30 years ago. Room was clean. Pool and hot tub dirty. Several fights outside my room as well as my sisters. Apartment athomsphere. Beautifully shaded.

we had the suite with the kitchen. the appliances and furniture were old looking but it was clean and well worth the price. i would recommend.

Great location and super for a family or couple on a budget.Staff was super and the place was conveniently located to everything we were in Austin for. Not at all upscale but certainly very functional for a place to stay.

Condo hotel. Two bedroom for myself. Restaurants are in walking distance.

Our room had sheets that were not clean. A little run down bad tile and wall paper peeling off wall. The worst was the Breakfast the muffins still were frozen and the coffee tasted like it was the same coffee beans they ran thru the maker twice. And no extra blankets or pillow the air was so cold that I was frezzing.

This hotel looks to be an old apartment complex - converted to a hotel. It was very cool staying there, as it seemed like.....well, a home vs. a hotel. I'd recommend it to others!!

This hotel is a hidden jewel in NW Austin. Great location, clean, comfortable rooms, and outstanding service. I love the layout of the hotel as well.

Room was clean, area was full of restaurants, shops, etc.... I would recommend this hotel to friends who are visity Austin.

I would recommend this Hotel simply because of the sizes of the rooms and the service that the hotel gave. It was a little misleading since the hotel is a renovated apt. complex. The room that I was in had an adjoining door to another room/apt but it had a deadbolt. It had a microwave, stove and a full size fridge. The mattresses were cheap and were […] not that comfortable, however, with what I paid because I caught a special, I was okay with it all. The two bathrooms were great and saved us some time in getting ready for where we needed to be. I feel that Hotel Allendale should change their description of the Hotel to more match the way the hotel is in reality. Just my opinion. Mehr

The staff was friendly, courtious and very helpful. The room needs updating. My wife and I slept on the queen size hide-a-bed. It was very old. The hide-a-bed still had the metal bar running across. Very uncomfortable. The breakfast was fair.

This is an old apartment complex that was transformed into hotel suites. For a few dollars more than a Motel 6 or Super 8, we got a full size bedroom, living room, and fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, and microwave, and is stocked with plates, glasses, flatware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. Everything […] in the apartment was very clean and well maintained. Additionally, the property was quiet and the entire experience was much nicer than staying at a regular motel. The only negative is that the apartments are old. They were probably built in the 70s and look like they were renovated in the late 80s or early 90s. I suspect the bathrooms have been updated since then because the counter tops and tile don't look quite that old. The carpet is in poor condition, but overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others. The grounds of the property are well maintained and the pool is very nice. And the staff at the front desk are helpful and friendly. Mehr

The hotel is a converted apartment complex that might have been a decent place to live 20 years ago. It's now what I would classify as a Class C or D apartment complex. The furnishings, comforters and linens are old and worn. The location is not bad since it is near a lot of shopping and restaurants but it's no where near the major sites of Austin. […] Mainly generic shopping centers and chain restaurants. If this was my property, I'd tear it down and rebuild a nicer, modern apartment complex on the site. If you need room for 5, stick to a major chain that offers two queens and a fold out couch. Mehr

Loved the suite clean, comfy we loved it. Will stay there again when in Austin.

Upon arrival the staff was wonderful! The room was clean and the pool was very nice, but the facility is very dated...The rooms need some light and the "full" breakfast was a little lacking...Fresh anything is better than frozen...Overall it has a nice atmosphere and a terrific staff.

Quiet setting provides peaceful rest. Roomy apartment like rooms with living area, small furnished kitchen, bedroom and bath. Breakfast is average. Small fitness room. Overall good value for price

Two words: Bates Motel

This is not a hotel, it is a condo and feels like a dated apartment more than a hotel. The condos are in separate buildings and the lobby is completely separate from the condos in its own building. There is no hot breakfast and the continental breakfast was not too good. The entire lobby smelled very strongly of natural gas. The staff is friendly. The […] rooms were clean, but very dated with cheap linens, shower curtain etc. We had a full kitchen and lots of room with closed off bedrooms and a separate little living room. It is deep within a neighborhood, but has lots close by such as resturants, Wal-mart, lots of shops, movie theater and more. You need to make sure you specify a sleeper sofa when you book with hotels.com because our room didn't have one even though it was supposed to. Mehr

The place was,fine I guess ,but kind of depressing. Beds were bad...won't return or recommend.

Our stay was great, quick check-in, spacious suites with appliances, jacuzzi, even breakfast :) My kids loved it :) They even allow pets!

I was here on business and for me it was a good place to stay. My only complaint is that the carpets do need replacing. I don't really mind if it was just worn, but the carpet was completely gone in some spots. with some new carpetting, this would be my choice place to stay in this area.

was a little surprised, but unit was clean and in good condition with the exception that the toilet took multiple flushes to function and ran periodically during the night. They were having a septic system fixed that morning so the problem may not have been the toilet, but the drain which they were having fixed so I didn't say anything to them. Quiet […] nice location. Breakfast = cereal, breads, rolls, bagels, fresh fruit, coffees, juices, milk, and yogurt. Good selection of basic staple cold breakfast foods. I would stay here again. Mehr
