Das Hotel ist nahe der USA-Grenze. In die Innenstadt von Vancouver kann man sehr schnell und kostengünstig (Tagespass) mit der Schnellbahn fahren. Die Parkplätze sind kostenlos, der Internetzugang auf dem Zimmer funktioniert gut . Für einen Städteaufenthalt ein günstiges und zweckmäßiges Hotel.

Das Hotel macht rundum einen modernen und sauberen Eindruck. Direkt gegenüber der Straße liegt die Station des Skytrains, welcher in 10 Minuten zur Waterfront ins Zentrum Vancouvers führt. Morgens liegt eine Zeitung vor der Tür, Parken ist in der Hoteleigenen Tiefgarage kostenlos. Gerne wieder!

Wir waren anfangs anhand anderer Hotelbewertungen skeptisch - dann aber sehr positiv überrascht. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wirklich super. Zum SkyTrain zwar eine Ecke zu laufen, aber problemlos machbar und man ist trotz der etwas vom Zentrum entfernten Lage ruck zuck in der City - schneller als mit dem Auto! Insgesamt top!

The rooms are spacsious and have great views of the Bay. They also include free wifi and TVs with DVD players as well as a decently stocked kitchen. The pool is outdoors but heated year round and they have a game room on the top floor.
"Perfect weekend getaway"
Sand Castles at Birch Bay is a great weekend get away! We have stayed there many times through out the last several years and have always enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and kitchens are fully equipped. You can either cook in or dine out. We recommend CJ's Beach Club for dinner and the restaurant in the Sandcastle's building […] (I don't remember the name) for breakfast and lunch. The views of Birch Bay are fantastic. (Note that most of the 1 bedroom rooms look out the back of the building at a golf course and not the Bay.) Ask before hand if your unit has a view of the Bay or the golf course. If you don't have a bay view you can always go to the lounge on the top floor of the building for breathtaking views of the bay and surrounding country side. Not to be missed. My only small complaint is that on occasion some one will cook fish or other odorous meal in their unit and the smell will waff down the hall. Mehr

Wonderful resort, great location! The staff is very friendly and the resort is beautiful. This is my third time staying here and I will be back. I LOVE IT.

The hotel was nice. The toilet in the master bath was broken and ran all night. The Tv in master bedroom wasn't working - even hotel staff couldn't get it to work. Other then that we were pleased. Surrounding restaurants had short hours and unpleasant employees (including restaurant in hotel) - even tho it was end of July in a resort town - you couldn't […] get food or drink past 10pm which seemed strange. Wedding reception in hotel caused overflow of loud, drunk guests in hallways, elevator area & lobby. Hotel staff admitted getting multiple noise complaints but didn't know what to do. Mehr
"Great place in Birch Bay"
We loved the resort. Very roomy apartment. Comfortable beds. Wonderful view over bay. Only stayed one night since we were running a relay race the next day. Could be a great place for outings to Vancouver BC, the Cascades.
